Kitsune: before you start throwing rotten food at me, I am really sorry for making you all wait so long. Lotta stuff went down and I wanted to redo the first chapter.
Kansei: She just kept most of the stuff and added some background info. So you might want to read that before you had onto the next chapter.
Yugi: Kitsune does not own Yu-Gi-Oh or any of the characters! She only wants the plot!
Yami: enjoy it because I probably won't. ToT
Wings of Slifer
Thousands of years ago there was no one god.
Many gods would watch over the humans as they went about their daily lives in the great empire of Egypt.
An evil pharaoh ruled the land, the poor citizens suffered under harsh rule.
One day the gods took pity on the people and came down to the earth in forms of terrifying monsters.
These beasts would choose a human's soul to bond with, based on how their ka and ba energies and they used their newfound powers to rise up against the evil.
The battles would take place using giant stone tablets to channel the gods' powers.
After three long years of war the evil man was removed from the throne and was then sent to his "certain" death.
The new pharaoh named Aknamkanon was kind to his people and eventually he healed the scars left by the madman.
But, darkness still lurked in the edges of the kingdom, posing a great danger to all of humanity.
The gods knew this so the three gods that ruled all combined their souls with three human children.
Ra, the creator of light and fire.
Obelisk, the creator of earth and controller of the mind.
Slifer, the creator of air and controller of the winds and skies.
And they will one day bring either peace or destruction.
Let the race begin.
Yami's POV
Drip. Drip.. Drip… A droplet of water soon formed a small stream from the ceiling. It raced from the base of the black strands of my hair to the crimson-red tips that formed messy gravity-defying spikes. Golden bangs shot up in lightning bolts leaving a few to frame my pale and very bony face. A soft red glow emanates from my right eye, but from the left a stronger lilac glow almost drowned out the red. Two night-locked bat wings were hanging lifeless from my back and my bony hands were bound by iron chains just below. My reptile-like tale swept around my legs that were no thicker than a small tree branch, trying to retain any warmth within the dull raven scales.
"S-so, dark," my voice was like embers dying in the suffocating air. They don't care about me; down here I am only a puppet beneath the burning sands of Egypt above. I haven't seen Ra's light since my last escape attempt twelve years ago.
A breeze of shadows slowly swirled next to me, causing my golden bangs to rustle slightly. "You aren't a puppet. I am always with you dear one. You needn't be afraid, because one day you will be set free. The gods will it so…" a voice whispered in my ear. One day, I will escape and then I can truly live a life I was never given. I won't be a test subject anymore.
The brittle iron door swung open and two men stepped into the daft room. One wore a silk peach cape and a white robe. He had deeply tanned skin and platinum-blond hair that was extremely messy and unkempt. The other was an albino with spiky hair as well, his purple robes started to drag along the floor. "Don't let them see your fear. One day, they will fear you," the voice encouraged.
"Ready for the next test pet?" The tanned man came up and shoved me towards the door.
"Oh yes I'm sure it will love the next game. Right, Marik?" The albino snickered while I was brought down a chilly hall. "Marik" laughed and kicked me, as I was walking to slow for his liking.
"Bakura, I believe we will have a lot of fun tonight." Marik announced as we entered a ghastly room.
My multi-colored eyes widened at the sight of the array of whips and torture devices that lined the wall. Then my eyes locked on the stone tablets set up in the middle of the room. It was going to be a very long night.
I am a creature of the shadows, a worthless animal that is tamed again and again. One day I will escape this hell hole, and maybe I can truly have a life… But, for now I can curl up in a ball and wish I still had my sister or a friend besides the one in my head. Marik and Bakura will pay for all that they've done and one day they will fear the name I was called by a long time ago. The name that by now I have nearly forgotten.
Kitsune: Yes much better!
Kansei: Again sorry for the wait the next chapter should be up by Saturday.
Yugi: please review!
