Tyler slowly woke up from his unconscious state. He was a little wary of his surroundings and it was taking a longer time for him to be able to focus. He glanced down at his wound. It was healing, but the healing process was slow. He swallowed hard, knowing very well what that meant.

"Lockwood?" One of his vampire hoodlums knelt down next to him.

"Back away!" Tyler growled at him. He could feel his muscles twitching in a spastic motion.

The vampire backed up quickly, not even able to catch his ground. He fell to his butt, wide eyed. "You… you…"

"I have it. I know." Tyler wasn't in a good mood. There was no way to disprove his obvious illness. He was just as bad off as the Original family, but like hell would he let that stop him. He wasn't going to die.

"Are we all…" The vampire still hadn't loosened up, nor should he. "Are we all infected?"

Tyler gritted his teeth together. "Probably. I don't know!"

"Lockwood! You said this wouldn't spread! You said we'd be fine!" The vampire shouted at him.

"Shut up! Let me think." Thinking was hard enough to do at this point. His mind was fuzzy and baffled. What could he possibly say that would prove things would be alright? Nothing was coming to mind.

"Shouldn't we tell the others?" He still didn't closer to Tyler.

"No!" Tyler snapped at him, ready to lunge and silence the vampire if he had to. "We don't tell nobody."

"But, Lockwood, we can't spread this more."

At this point, Tyler didn't care who was infected. He was infected, whoever else got it didn't matter anymore. People would be fine, it was just a supernatural disease. He mustered together all that he could for a chance to still seem powerful. "Find out what they know. Find out if there's a cure."

"You mean you believe them?"

"I don't think we have the option to not believe them." Tyler pulled himself up off the ground. He needed a safe place to hide until things blew over. He needed somewhere to stay safe. "Help me."

"Do you even know my name?" The vampire eyed him warily. "Helping to contain a virus is one thing, but why should I risk getting sick for you?"

Tyler watched the blurring figure. He attempted to recognize the voice. Who the heck was it? He racked his brain for a clear memory. "Names don't matter right now! We have to get me away from anyone else who comes to help. We can't risk infecting more. Are you going to help me?"

The vampire sighed and scrambled over to his leader. He linked an arm around Tyler's waist and pulled him away. "I know a place."

"Thank you." Tyler mellowed out, giving him his gratitude.

"My name is Josh, by the way." The young vampire said quietly, pulling Tyler out of the area of being seen. "I have a cabin near hear that I can keep you at."

"I don't know what's going to happen, Josh." Tyler was having a hard time using his legs properly to walk. He'd caught glimpses of Klaus struggling, but the mighty hybrid had covered up his weaknesses pretty well. Tyler had no clue what to expect. He was terrified.

"Hey, I'm just happy that I'm still alive. Every day is a gift and I know that I could be killed at any time. If I was scared to die, I wouldn't have volunteered to help you out on your fool's mission to keep the original family from escaping their own house. Only a fool would risk threatening them." Josh spewed out, rushing to get Tyler as far away from the virus stricken home. "I'll keep you safe."

"I can keep myself safe. You find answers and the cure." Tyler wasn't trying to be ungrateful, but he was getting desperate.

"I'll find someone to find answers for you, but you're going to need round the clock care." Josh noted, taking in Tyler's full weakening appearance.

"I'll be fine." Tyler couldn't stop his fluctuating irritation.

"You're so not alright, dude." The vampire shook his head. "You can't even walk on your own."

Tyler couldn't argue with the vamp. He was weakening rapidly. He didn't have the strength anymore to argue. Maybe he was wrong to think they should kill Caroline. He was beginning to question everything at this point with what little strength he had. He wondered how rapidly things happened for Klaus. If he was affected dangerously bad, that meant things weren't looking good for Tyler.
