Back,

hi all, FreeWind here to welcome you to my first fic, basically it's been a year since the crossing and Sapphire can feel can feel a pull to the cove she swore never to swim in again. Is it the pull of Ingo or the pull of her confused heart.

I was sitting on the sofa, Sadie by my side. My pencils and paper in hand I began to draw, I had gotten quite good at it. My eyes closed I brushed against the fibres, my mind painting a image on the paper. I looked at what I'd drawn a gasp escaping, Faro, his eyes beckoning almost desperate, his muscular chest turned to the side, he was handsome. Wait what, it was true though, I had never given much thought to it but here in the drawing done by my hands I could see it, his quirks adding to the charm he held, the other world within his eyes, a world I swore to never see again, a Mer I swore to stay away from. Yet here he was, gazing up at me.

I threw down the pad and ran to Conor, "what's wrong Saph?" he asked face full of concern, I had no answer, I fell into tears my sobs muffled in his shirt, "it's Ingo isn't it? Look I know you miss it but we can't go back, you hear me, we were almost lost too many times there, I don't want to loose you to it Saph, nobody does" his words shocked me, it was true though, I had been tempted to rush into the water and never come back, Conor had never felt the same way, his earth blood was too strong.

Mine however was almost gone, I could see it, my face had a blueish tint, my hair now almost black reached past my thighs, my eyes had become a bright blue and my lungs ached in air, I had changed so much that I knew if I would swim in that cove my legs would form a tail.

"Saph, Saph?" said conner waving his hand in-front of me,

"sorry, just thinking" I said getting up and ran back to the living room, my gaze fell on the drawing again, absent mindedly I reached out my mind to Faro,

Faro?

Saph, oh Saph! His joy rushed through me when he heard my voice, I broke away but forgot to put up my block up. I stroked the knotted pattern on my wrist and remembered all the time I'd spent spent there, Ingo -the forbidden place I would not enter, Faro -the Mer who my my heart leap. I knew then and there, I've fallen in love with a Mer.

Faro pov

I swam into the cove, waiting, always waiting for her return, waiting for her to come back. Faro? I heard it, her voice, Saph, oh Saph! I couldn't call her little sister anymore, she pulled away but I could still reach her mind, that was when I saw it, her change, the countless times she looked in the mirror to see no longer the Saph I knew but I beautiful Mer woman, long dark hair framing her tinted skin and oceanic eyes, all that was missing was a tail, she was stunning. I touched the patter of our hair on my wrist, I knew then, I've fallen in love with a human, then it struck me, did she feel the same, suddenly I realised I had shouted that thought to her, I could feel her voice say something, I listened, she did not know but I had heard her last line, I've fallen in love with a Mer. It was enough, that one sentence was enough to make Ingo call to her, to pull my Saph back to me, to pull her to the Mer.

Sorry it's short but I will be updating soon, what do you all think, am I going too quick or too slow, what will happen next...

love ya -FreeWind
