Not Of My Life

"I want to have a little conversation with this one. Girl to girl," screeched Bellatrix as she got up in Hermione's face.

"Not on my life!" roared Draco.

"I see it now. Reluctance to identity Potter or the mudblood. You're in love with the mudblood. You want to bring shame to our pureblood by dirtying it with hers," shrieked Bellatrix.

"Oh it's more than that my dear Aunt. You can try and hurt Hermione all you want," answered Draco, his smirk in place. "But you won't succeed."

"And why might that be?" asked Bellatrix, still keeping Hermione captive.

"Oh just a couple of l little things. Blood bond, soul bond, marriage bond. My rings on her fingers," answered Draco.

"His child in my stomach," added Hermione.

"So while she is protected by the ancient Malfoy blood line you can't harm a single hair on her head. Or mine," answered Draco.

Bellatrix grip on Hermione loosened as she thought what she could do. If she killed the girl the family curse would revert one her. She would lose, she could be cursed – she may even die. She was so consumed in her thoughts that she didn't feel or see Hermione run to Draco.

"But I'm not a Malfoy," she snapped.

"No but your were a Black. Mothers is a Malfoy by marriage and while she's alive and I'm alive I have Black blood as well which means so does Hermione. I know you wouldn't kill your sister just to kill Hermione," smirked Draco.

Bellatrix faltered again and Draco took that chance to disapparate. Seconds later Hermione found herself in the Malfoy dudgeons before dissappartaing again to the beach near Shell Cottage with Draco, Harry, Ron, Luna, the goblin and Mr Olivander. Where Ron and Harry promptly pulled their wands on Draco.

"No!" shouted Hermione,

"Hermione he's a Malfoy," said Harry.

"He saved my life and yours," answered Hermione.

"And what about all those years he picked on you?" asked Harry.

"They don't matter and they weren't real," said Hermione. "It was an act."

"He's still the enemy," answered Ron. "He's still on his side."

"He never got the mark. He's on that side because he is the informant for the order," said Hermione.

"How can you trust him?" asked Harry.

"Because he's never given me a reason not too," answered Hermione.

"He's still a Malfoy," answered Ron. "You can't trust them."

"So am I," she said, holding up her left hand. "He's my husband."

And there on Hermione's left ring finger Harry and Ron saw a emerald engagement ring that had diamonds either side of the shining green stone and a plain slim sliver wedding band.

"I trust Draco with m y life," she answered.

"Now that, that is cleared up. I think you need to clear something else up," answered Draco.

"Yes what I said back at the manor is true," whispered Hermione.

"What?" asked Harry.

"Draco told his Aunt that because of the magic of the Malfoy family tree she can't harm me because of our blood, marriage and soul bonds but she also can't harm me because I'm carrying the next Malfoy heir," answered Hermione.

"You're pregnant?" asked Ron.

"How did we not notice?" asked Harry.

"It's not that obvious," answered Hermione. "I'm on anti nausea and antenatal potions. I do my spells in my part of the tent. I'm only three months gone. Plus I wearing baggy tops and using glamour charms."

"What about the dangers?" asked Draco.

"Shield spells around my belly," answered Hermione.

"So if there's anyone else Vold-"

"Weasley you use that name you'll get us all killed," hissed Draco, stopping him mid sentence." As soon as the ministry was taken over it was tabooed."

"If there's anyone else you know who what's to kill apart from Harry you're going to be top of the list," said Ron.

"She was already at top of the list. I'll be near the top now," said Draco, pulling Hermione to him. "Never on my life with they get her."
