Inspector Zenigata entered his bosses office at Interpol headquarters.

"You wanted to see me, chief?" he said to the short man behind the desk.

"Yes," said the man. "We've recently received intelligence that Lupin the third is in Switzerland working with the international terrorist organization known as M.A.D. We would like you to go to Geneva at once to begin looking into whatever nefarious plot may be developing there."

"Yes, sir," said Zenigata with a salute. "Right away!"

"Hold on," said his boss, before the inspector could run off. "First I'd like you to meet your new partner who will be joining you on this case."

"Partner!" shouted Zenigata, angrily.

"Yes, he's a top agent from America and he has had much experience dealing with M.A.D. and its mysterious leader, Dr. Claw. His name is Inspector Gadget." he said, gesturing towards the door.

Zenigata turned and came face to face with a man in a grey trench coat and hat.

"Pleased to meet you," said the man, sticking out his gloved hand to be shaken. "My name is Gadget, and I think we'll get along just splendidly."

Zenigata shook the man's hand reluctantly, as he seethed with anger. He was surprised that for such an average looking guy, Gadget's grip felt like a metal vice.
