Wedding

It was a bright sunny day when Melody awoke, somewhat groggy, but when she realized what day it was, she leapt out of bed.

"Today's the day!"—She smiled brightly as she skipped over to the bath. She took a short bubble bath, dried off and slipped a robe on. There was a knock at the door it was Carlotta with breakfast.

"Good morning princess."—She greeted Melody as she served her fresh berry smoothie.

"Mmm, delicious."—Melody thanked her as they began prepping her for the most important day of her life. Queen Ariel came in a short while later to help with Melody's hair and accessories. Melody had a ball gown dress made for a princess with a pleated under laying skirt with a champagne coloring that was overlaid with an overskirt of gathered fabric off to her left side by three white seashells. The dress had a sweetheart neckline lined by ivory pearls and hung closely to her well-shaped torso. There were two pieces of fabric that were pleated and stretched from her left side to her right side down to her skirt. Her sleeves began just above her elbows and were made from two inches of the finest silk and trimmed with ivory lace covering her elbows, ending just above her forearms. She wore simple ivory heals with a single seashell at the front of her shoe. Her hair was a soft curl and some parts were braided back into her messy bun with a long veil that would cover the back of her dress as well as her face. A few strands of her hair framed her face and there were small pearls that were pinned into her hair sporadically. Her makeup was simple and natural looking, with soft pink lips, eye shadow that brought out her blue eyes and dark mascara that curled her long lashes up, and light blush. Her mother picked out her accessories, and she chose a medium sized white gold crown with pearls, diamonds, and small ivory seashells creating a unique design that was both elegant and chic. Her earrings were small white gold diamond studs, and she wore a white gold chain with a light seashell that had ivory letterings with her and Jim's initials "M & J."

"You're ready my dear."—Ariel leaned over her daughter with tears in her eyes.

"Thank you."—Melody held her mother's hand as she stood and followed her mother towards the ballroom. Everything was decorated in an elegant "Under the Sea" theme with aquatic flowers in unique glass vases and even fish tanks with beautiful fish swimming around in clear turquoise water. There was a long white carpet going down the middle of the ballroom with seats on either side and Jim was waiting with the priest at the altar. The orchestra was off to one side and they began playing that infamous tune to which cued Melody and her parents to walk down the isle. Jim's heart skipped a beat when the doors opened, and he felt as if the wind was knocked out of him when he saw his bride. She was breathtaking, as royal as a princess of both land and sea, and he almost felt as if he didn't deserve her, but he was too selfish to let anyone else have her. He couldn't help but smile, maybe even become teary eyed when he saw that though everyone had their eyes on her, all she could do was look at him. She had to restrain herself from running up to him and taking off on their honeymoon right there and then, but she knew better. Her flowers were white roses with pearls scattered on the tips of the flowers.

Once Ariel and Eric said they were giving away Melody, everything was a blur . . . all Melody and Jim could do was focus on one another and nothing else, they heard bits and pieces of what the priest said, Jim managed to get the rings out and gave Melody the one that was meant for him, and when she heard her name she nodded her head and managed to say "I do" at the appropriate time, placing the ring on Jim's finger. Jim managed to do the same; next thing they knew they heard "kiss the bride" and Jim was all too eager to do so. It was a passionate kiss that sent fireworks to the back of Melody's eyes, and Jim couldn't help but wish they were alone. They both tuned back in to hear, "congratulations," and heard the crowd cheering. Next thing they knew there was dancing, drinking, and eating. Not in that particular order and the bride and groom couldn't wait to get to their bedchamber. Their first dance was a slow melodious one with words of love exchanged between the two of them. Melody didn't even pay attention to who caught the bouquet, and Jim tossed the garter to some lucky man, but he knew he was the luckiest guy in the room.

When the night was finally over and Jim carried Melody to her soundproof room, they simply helped one another undress, and then they were like animals. Jim kissed every inch of Melody's body as she moaned in pleasure. Jim made sure she was ready before he did anything he'd regret, and once she nodded her head in approval, he was inside her, thrusting like a wild beast. He had it with being gentle with her, and she didn't mind all too much, once the pain subsided, she rather enjoyed herself. It was a blissful romantic night, to which they didn't get too much sleep, and they knew they'd have the rest of their lives to sleep, but this was their first night as a married couple, to which would never happen again.

Morning came and Melody was the first to rise, as the sun streamed in through her curtains, she looked down at her ring, seeing a white gold ring with several diamonds and a few tiny pearls. She smiled as she looked over at Jim, who now had a seven o'clock shadow and his hair was sprawled out on his pillow.

"Jim."—She whispered as she kissed him softly.

"Hu?"—Jim turned to see his wife smiling at him, looking even more radiant than usual, if that was even possible.

"Hi sleepy head."—She kissed him again on his forehead.

"Hey."—He gave her a sleepy smile.

"Our honeymoon starts today."—She reminded him, suddenly his face lifted into a smile.

"Well then, I shouldn't be a lazy bum today."—He smiled as he turned towards her and kissed her, first on the lips, then her neck, and next her collarbone.

"Mmm, I think that'll have to wait till later Romeo. We need to get ready."—She jumped out of bed, walking towards the bath.

"Hmm."—Jim groaned as he flopped back on the bed.

"Are you coming?"—Melody peeked from the other side of the door.

"What do you think?"—Jim jumped out of bed and raced towards her as she managed to get the bath water started, though Jim kept her quite . . . preoccupied with various . . . distractions.

They had a nice long bath, then readied themselves to set sail.

"I'm so excited!"—Melody cheered as she clapped her hands together, while the servants carried their bags to Jim's new ship (a wedding gift from the king).

"Me too, this is my first time going around the world like this."—Jim wrapped his arm around her slender waist.

"Me too!"—She nudged him.

"Well then, let's start our first big adventure together, as husband and wife."—Jim smiled at her lovingly, and she stared right back into his eyes with the same amount of love as they set sail out into the ocean. They'd worry about ruling the kingdom when the time came, for now they'd simply enjoy being newly weds.

The End
