When it comes to the songs, please look up on youtube Johnathan Young and Caleb Hyles mostly cause their editions of the Hunchback songs are great. They didn't do all of them as of now but if you want chills up your spine, look them up and listen to them while you read. It's really cool. In fact, listen to all their Disney songs. It's really good. Oh, and if you're on any wikia, please thank MrMistyEyes for this attack idea for our newest chapter. Also, I know this will seem like the girls didn't do much but as I rewatched the movies from here til Anastasia, remember Disney bought FOX, they will either help the hero or stay in the sideline so the hero will shine.

During Alice's trip to China, Alice was in bed asleep after a long day. There was some trouble but nothing to great not to handle. As she slept, she was back in Wonderland on the battle field from before. Already the scouts are there. "Why am I in Wonderland again?"

Belle said, "It might be time to go to the next world to get the next scout."

Snow White said, "From what we remember, we're going Paris."

Alice asked, "How are we going to get here?"

Just then the buggies arrived. "From Mr. Hatbox himself." Said Jasmine.

The girls walked up to him. He said, "Hello Miss Liddle."

Alice said, "That's not my last name."

Hatbox bowed. "My apologies. Wrong Alice. Been to so many worlds sometimes it's hard to tell them apart." He pulled out his ring of key out and got the key. "Alright everyone on board and like before, this scout has to do it herself."

Aurora asked, "Is that going to be the case of all of these trips?"

Hatbox replied, "Not all but some. Can't give you the exact number. Let's put it to you this way; after this world, the next one yes you'll be involved but the one after, not so much."

Cinderella said, "So it's a gamble and we have to guess for ourselves."

Hatbox said, "Pretty much. Remember you don't have your crutch with you this time."

Pocahontas yelled, "Lay off! Instead of scolding us, you should help Ariel save Marie."

Hatbox said, "Believe me I wish I could."

Alice said, "And I thought Wonderland was confusing."

Mulan said, "Trust us, this is just the beginning."

Everyone got on board the buggies as Hatbox turn the key. "Just remember in this world, the purest can be the evilest." And off they went.

Soon they arrived in Paris as their clothes changed to match the time to match the era of Paris. As the buggies left, the girls explored the town as a chorus heard in the background mixes with the bells of Notre Dame cathedral ringing. Through the city the Clopin singing to a group of children watching his puppet show. The girls joined them and Clopin knew who they were right away. "MORNING IN PARIS, THE CITY AWAKES TO THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME THE FISHERMAN FISHES, THE BAKERMAN BAKES TO THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME TO THE BIG BELLS AS LOUD AS THE THUNDER TO THE LITTLE BELLS SOFT AS A PSALM AND SOME SAY THE SOUL OF THE CITY'S THE TOLL OF THE BELLS THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME."

"Listen, they're beautiful, no? So many colors of sounds, so many changing moods. Because, you know, they don't ring all by themselves."

The Puppet asked, "They don't?!"

Clopin said, "No, silly boy. Up there, high, high in the dark bell tower, lives the mysterious bell ringer. Who is this creature?"

Puppet asked, "Who?"

Clopin asked, "What is he?"

Puppet asked, "What?"

Clopin asked, "How did he come to be there?"

Puppet asked, "How?"

Clopin hits it on the head. "Hush!"

Puppet rubs its head. "Ohhh..."

Clopin said, "And Clopin will tell you. It is a tale, a tale of a man and a monster!"

A band of gypsies quietly proceeding down the Seine, hoping to avoid detection. A baby in the woman's arms begins to cry.

DARK WAS THE NIGHT WHEN OUR TALE WAS BEGUN ON THE DOCKS NEAR NOTRE DAME

The first gypsy said, "Shut it up, will you!"

The other one said, "We'll be spotted!"

The mother of the baby said, "Hush, little one!"

FOUR FRIGHTENED GYPSIES SLID SILENTLY UNDER THE DOCKS NEAR NOTRE DAME

The group landed at the docks. The Boatman said, "Four gilders for safe passage into Paris."

BUT A TRAP HAD BEEN LAID FOR THE GYPSIES AND THEY GAZED UP IN FEAR AND ALARM AT A FIGURE WHOSE CLUTCHES WERE IRON AS MUCH AS THE BELLS

That's when knights and Frollo appeared. "Judge Claude Frollo!"

THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME JUDGE CLAUDE FROLLO LONGED TO PURGE THE WORLD OF VICE AND SIN AND HE SAW CORRUPTION EVERYWHERE EXCEPT WITHIN.

The Gypsies were arrested. Frollo said, "Bring these gypsy vermin to the Palace of Justice."

A guard yelled to mother, "You there! What are you hiding!?"

Frollo said, "Stolen goods, no doubt. Take them from her."

She ran!

As the gypsy mother tries to escape with her baby, Judge Frollo gives chase on horseback. She reaches the doors of Notre Dame and pounds on them. "Sanctuary! Please give us sanctuary!"

Frollo finally catches up to her on the steps of the cathedral. He rips the still covered bundle from her arms, and kicks her in the face, sending her crashing to the cement steps, where she is knocked unconscious. The baby begins to cry. "A baby?" Frollo uncovers the baby's head, seeing the deformed infant. "A monster!"

He looks around, searching for a way to dispose of the creature. He sees a well, and rides over to it. He is about to drop the baby down the well when a voice (a lightning flash between Clopin and the Archdeacon) shouts out, "Stop!"

Cried the archdeacon.

Frollo said, "This is an unholy demon. I'm sending it back to hell, where it belongs!'

Archdeacon held the dead mother in his arms. "SEE THERE THE INNOCENT BLOOD YOU HAVE SPILT ON THE STEPS OF NOTRE DAME."

Frollo said, "I am guiltless-she ran, I pursued."

Archdeacon sang, "NOW YOU WOULD ADD THIS CHILD'S BLOOD TO YOUR GUILT ON THE STEPS OF NOTRE DAME!"

Frollo said, "My conscience is clear!"

Archdeacon sang, "YOU CAN LIE TO YOURSELF AND YOUR MINIONS YOU CAN CLAIM THAT YOU HAVEN'T A QUALM BUT YOU NEVER CAN RUN FROM, NOR HIDE WHAT YOU'VE DONE FROM THE EYES THE VERY EYES OF NOTRE DAME!" He pointed to the statues of all the saints and angels from the Holy Book. Frollo look up at them and saw they were all looking at him as witnesses.

AND FOR ONE TIME IN HIS LIFE OF POWER AND CONTROL FROLLO FELT A TWINGE OF FEAR FOR HIS IMMORTAL SOUL

Frollo asked, "What must I do?"

Archdeacon answered, "Care for the child, raise it as your own."

Frollo asked, "What? I'm to be saddled with this misshapen—" He pauses as a thought creeps across his face. "Very well. Let him live with you, in your church."

Archdeacon asked, "Live here? But where?"

Frollo answered, "Anywhere. JUST SO HE'S KEPT LOCKED AWAY WHERE NO ONE ELSE CAN SEE. The bell tower, perhaps. And who knows-our Lord works in mysterious ways. EVEN THIS FOUL CREATURE MAY YET PROVE ONE DAY TO BE OF USE TO ME."

Clopin continue the story. "And Frollo gave the child a cruel name. A name that means half-formed... Quasimodo!" As he sang the puppet show, shows Frollo with a baby and then Quasimodo, and then Quasimodo himself ringing the bells. "NOW HERE IS A RIDDLE TO GUESS IF YOU CAN SING THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME. WHO IS THE MONSTER AND WHO IS THE MAN? SING THE BELLS, BELLS, BELLS, BELLS, BELLS, BELLS, BELLS, BELLS, BELLS OF NOTRE DAME!" Clopin's puppet show to the actual bells ringing in the tower, and then back of this mysterious Quasimodo ringing them.

After the story, Clopin took the girls to the mysterious court of miracles. Once they were out of site, he said, "We've been waiting for you."

Belle asked, "How do you know us?"

Clopin said, "Us gypsies are more than just con-artiest and thieves. We also have secrets of our own. Come we have room with Esmeralda."

Clopin took the girls to her tent and lead them in. "And so, you know, she knows she's a scout, but doesn't know how to unlock her powers." Then he left."

As the girls waited, Esmeralda walked in. "Hello Sailor Scouts. Though to be honest, I thought there would be more of you."

Snow White said, "There are 2 others but due to circumstances, we're 2 short."

Esmeralda said, "I know word travels fast."

Jasmine asked, "Doesn't anyone in Paris know about us?"

Esmeralda said, "From what our watchers told us, none."

Aurora noticed her locket. "So, you have yours already."

Esmeralda looked down and touched it. "Yes. I was stolen as a baby and when I got older, I found my birthmother who hated gypsies. When she found out who I was, gotten sick and gave me this before she died."

Cinderella said, "We're sorry."

Esmeralda smiled. "It's alright. She may have been a bitter woman but she atoned for her mistakes in the end." Then she asked them as they sat in the tent. "So, do you know how to unlock my powers?"

Pocahontas said, "Every one of us goes through it differently. There's no set path."

Mulan said, "It's more based on what you are as a person."

Tiana said, "Sometimes we have to dig a little deeper for the truth…"

Rapunzel said, "Others nearly waking up a memory."

Merida said, "And some we have to find out for ourselves with no help."

Elsa asked, "Do any of these matches you?"

Esmeralda said, "Nearly all of them. But I'm just waiting for this stupid thing to glow."

Anna said, "Maybe you're missing something that's keeping you stuck."

Alice asked, "Do you hate everyone that isn't a gypsy?"

Esmeralda said, "Only those that work for the palace of justice. They only care for themselves. Guess that's a good start as any."

Intro:

On an exterior with the frozen forms of Victor and Hugo, with a bird's nest in his mouth, on the balcony. As Quasimodo comes out, the bird awakens. "Good morning!" The bird squeaks its approval. "Will today be the day? Are you ready to fly?" The bird squeaks its disapproval. "You sure? Good day to try. Why, if I picked a day to fly, oh, this would be it! The Festival of Fools! It will be fun-the jugglers, and music, and dancing..." The bird, who had been resting in Quasi's hand, has begun to flap its wings. Quasi slowly removes his hands until the bird is hovering in place. He chuckles and shows his hands to the bird, who finally realizes that it is flying. It squeaks an approval, then a question, as a flock of birds fly by. "Go on! Nobody wants to be cooped up here forever!"

The bird flies off to join the flock. As soon as it's gone, Hugo, and later, Victor, come to life. Hugo spits out the nest. "Oh, man! I thought he'd never leave! I'll be spittin' feathers for a week!"

Victor said, "Well that's what you get for sleeping with your mouth open."

Hugo chuckles sarcastically. "Heh, heh, heh...go scare a nun! Hey, Quasi! What's goin' on out there? A fight? A flogging?"

Victor said, "A festival!"

Hugo asked, "You mean the Feast of Fools!?"

Quasimodo answered, "Uh huh!"

Hugo said, "All right, all right! Pour the wine and cut the cheese!" Hugo makes farting noises in his armpit.

Victor said, "It is a treat to watch the colorful pageantry of the simple peasant folk."

Hugo said, "Boy, nothin' like balcony seats for watching the ol' F.O.F."

Quasimodo was dejected. "Yeah, watching." Quasi turns and leaves, obviously sad.

Hugo said, "Hey, look-a mime." Hugo hocks up a phlegm in his throat, and is about to spit, when Victor covers his mouth. Hugo is forced to swallow his prize. They proceed inside to Quasimodo. Laverne catches up to them. "Hey, hey, what gives?"

Victor asked, "Aren't you going to watch the festival with us?"

Hugo said, "I don't get it."

Victor said, "Perhaps he's sick!"

Laverne said, "Impossible. If 20 years of listening to you two hasn't made him sick by now, nothing will."

Victor said, "But watching the Festival of Fools has always been the highlight of the year for Quasimodo."

Laverne asked, "What good is watching the party if you never get to go near it?" Birds have begun to roost on Laverne. She waves them away. "Get away from me, go on, you bunch of buzzards! He's not made of stone, like us." Laverne goes to Quasi, who is at his table with a model of the city and small toys painted like townspeople. "Quasi, what's wrong? You wanna tell ol' Laverne all about it?"

Quasimodo said, "I…I just don't feel like watching the festival, that's all."

Laverne asked, "Well, did you ever think about going there instead?"

Victor yelled, "Sure!"

Quasimodo said, "I'd never fit in down there. I'm not...normal."

Laverne said, "Oh, Quasi, Quasi, Quasi." She pauses as the birds have returned to perch on her again. "Do you mind? I'm would like to have a moment with the boy, if it's all right with you!"

Hugo said, "Hey, quit beating around the bell tower. Whadda we gotta do? Paint you a fresco?"

Victor said, "As your friends and guardians, we insist you attend the festival."

Quasimodo yelled, "Me?!"

Hugo, with a figurine of a Pope, from Quasi's tabletop scene. "No, the Pope. Of course, you!"

Victor shoves the Pope figurine in Quasi's mouth. "It would be a veritable pope-pourri of educational experience."

Hugo pulls the figurine out of Quasi's mouth. "Wine, women and song!"

Victor said, "You can learn to identify various regional cheeses!"

Hugo said, "Bobbing for snails!"

Victor said, "And the indigenous folk music."

Hugo said, "Dunk the monk!"

Laverne said, "Quasi, take it from an old spectator. Life's not a spectator sport. If watchin's all you're gonna do, then you're gonna watch your life go by without you."

Hugo said, "Yeah, you're human, with the flesh, and the hair, and the navel lint. We're just part of the architecture, right Victor?"

Victor asked, "Yet, if you chip us, will we not flake? If you moisten us, do we not grow moist?"

Laverne said, "Quasi, just grab a fresh tunic and a clean pair of hose and—"

Quasimodo interrupted her. "Thanks for the encouragement, but you're all forgetting one thing."

Gargoyles asked, "What?"

Quasimodo said, "My master, Frollo."

Gargoyles replied dejectedly, "Oh, yeah, right."

Victor asked, "Well, when he says you're forbidden from ever leaving the bell tower, does he mean 'ever-ever'?"

Quasimodo yelled, "Never ever! And he hates the Feast of Fools! He'd be furious if I asked to go."

Hugo asked, "Who says you gotta ask?"

Quasimodo said, "Oh, no."

Hugo said, "Ya' sneak out..."

Laverne said, "It's just one afternoon..."

Quasimodo said, "I couldn't—"

Hugo interrupted him. "...and ya' sneak back in."

Laverne said, "He'll never know you were gone."

Quasimodo said, "I mean, if I got caught—"

Victor said, "Better to beg forgiveness than to ask permission."

Quasimodo said, "He might see me."

Hugo said, "You could wear a disguise. Just this once. What Frollo doesn't know can't hurt you!"

Victor said, "Ignorance is bliss."

Hugo aside said, "Look who's talking..."

Laverne said, "Nobody wants to stay cooped up here forever."

Quasi thinks for a moment, then a smile creeps across his face. "You're right! I'll go!" The gargoyles cheer. "I'll get cleaned up." Another cheer. "I'll stroll down those stairs." Another cheer. "I'll march through the doors and—"

Quasi and the 'goyles have been advancing on the door leading downstairs. As Quasi nears it, Frollo appears in the doorway suddenly, cutting Quasi short and returning the 'goyles to stone. "Good morning, Quasimodo."

Quasimodo said, "Ah-um, good...morning, master."

Frollo asked, "Dear boy, whomever are you talking to?"

Quasimodo said, "My...friends."

Frollo said, "I see." He taps Hugo on the head. "And what are your friends made of, Quasimodo?"

Quasimodo answered, "Stone."

Frollo asked, "Can stone talk?"

Quasimodo said, "No, it can't."

Frollo said, "That's right. You're a smart lad. Now...lunch." Upon hearing the word, Quasi goes off and retrieves a table setting-a silver chalice and plate for Frollo and a wooden cup and plate for himself. "Shall we review your alphabet today?"

Quasimodo said, "Yes, master. I would like that very much."

Frollo said, "Very well. A?"

"Abomination."

"B?"

"Blasphemy."

"C?"

"C-c-c-contrition."

"D?"

"Damnation."

"E?"

"Eternal damnation!"

"Good. F?"

"Festival."

Frollo spits out his drink at the incorrect response. "Excuse me?"

Quasimodo tried to fix it. "Forgiveness!"

Frollo said, "You said...festival."

Quasimodo said, "No!"

Frollo said, "You are thinking about going to the festival."

Quasimodo said, "It's just that...you go every year."

Frollo said, "I am a public official. I must go! But I don't enjoy a moment. Thieves and hustlers and the dregs of humankind, all mixed together in a shallow, drunken stupor."

Quasimodo said, "I didn't mean to upset you, master."

Frollo said, "Quasimodo, can't you understand? When your heartless mother abandoned you as a child, anyone else would have drowned you. And this my thanks for taking you in and raising you as my son?"

Quasimodo said, "I'm sorry, sir."

Frollo said, "Oh, my dear Quasimodo, you don't know what it's like out there. I do...I do...THE WORLD IS CRUEL THE WORLD IS WICKED IT'S I ALONE WHOM YOU CAN TRUST IN THIS WHOLE CITY I AM YOUR ONLY FRIEND I WHO KEEP YOU, TEACH YOU, FEED YOU, DRESS YOU I WHO LOOK UPON YOU WITHOUT FEAR HOW CAN I PROTECT YOU, BOY UNLESS YOU ALWAYS STAY IN HERE AWAY IN HERE? YOU ARE DEFORMED."

"I AM DEFORMED"

"AND YOU ARE UGLY"

"AND I AM UGLY"

"AND THESE ARE CRIMES FOR WHICH THE WORLD SHOWS LITTLE PITY YOU DO NOT COMPREHEND"

"YOU ARE MY ONE DEFENDER"

"OUT THERE, THEY'LL REVILE YOU AS A MONSTER"

"I AM A MONSTER"

"OUT THERE, THEY WILL HATE WITH SCORN AND JEER"

"ONLY A MONSTER"

"WHY INVITE THEIR CALUMNY AND CONSTERNATION? STAY IN HERE, BE FAITHFUL TO ME"

"I'M FAITHFUL"

"GRATEFUL TO ME"

"I'M GRATEFUL"

"DO AS I SAY. OBEY, AND STAY IN HERE."

"I'LL STAY IN HERE."

Frollo goes to leave. Quasimodo said, "You are good to me, master. I'm sorry."

Frollo said, "You are forgiven. But, remember, Quasimodo: this is your sanctuary."

Quasimodo said, "Sanctuary." Exit Frollo.

Quasimodo sang, "SAFE BEHIND THESE WINDOWS AND THESE PARAPETS OF STONE GAZING AT THE PEOPLE DOWN BELOW ME ALL MY LIFE I WATCH THEM AS I HIDE UP HERE ALONE HUNGRY FOR THE HISTORIES THEY SHOW ME ALL MY LIFE I MEMORIZE THEIR FACES KNOWING THEM AS THEY WILL NEVER KNOW ME ALL MY LIFE I WONDER HOW IT FEELS TO PASS A DAY NOT ABOVE THEM... BUT PART OF THEM... AND OUT THERE, LIVING IN THE SUN GIVE ME ONE DAY OUT THERE ALL I ASK IS ONE, TO HOLD FOREVER OUT THERE, WHERE THEY ALL LIVE UNAWARE WHAT I'D GIVE...WHAT I'D DARE JUST TO LIVE ONE DAY OUT THERE! OUT THERE AMONG THE MILLERS AND THE WEAVERS AND THEIR WIVES THROUGH THE ROOFS AND GABLES I CAN SEE THEM EVERY DAY THEY SHOUT AND SCOLD AND GO ABOUT THEIR LIVES HEEDLESS OF THE GIFT IT IS TO BE THEM IF I WAS IN THEIR SKIN, I'D TREASURE EVERY INSTANT OUT THERE, STROLLING BY THE SEINE TASTE A MORNING OUT THERE LIKE ORDINARY MEN WHO FREELY WALK ABOUT THERE JUST ONE DAY AND THEN I SWEAR I'LL BE CONTENT, WITH MY SHARE WON'T RESENT, WON'T DESPAIR, OLD AND BENT, I WON'T CARE. I'LL HAVE SPENT ONE DAY OUT THERE!"

Down to street level, where, in the midst of all the activity, walks Phoebus, and his horse, Achilles. Phoebus is consulting a map. "Huh, ya leave town for a couple of decades and they change everything." He looks and sees a pair of guards walking by. "Excuse me, gentlemen, I'm looking for the Palace of Justice. Would you—" They completely ignore him. "- hmmm, I guess not."

Meanwhile, in a corner, Esmeralda and Djali are dancing for change. A woman and her child walk by, but the woman steers her child away. "Stay away, child-they're gypsies. They'll steal us blind."

Phoebus, entranced by Esmeralda's dancing, drops a few coins into the hat on the ground. Soon, a boy on top of the wall whistles. Everything comes to a halt, and all scramble for cover. As Djali grabs the hat, coins fly everywhere. He runs, and Esmeralda runs out to grab the money. As she's gathering the change, the guards arrive. "All right, gypsy, where'd ya get the money?"

Esmeralda said, "For your information, I earned it."

"Gypsies don't earn money."

"You steal it?"

Esmeralda said, "You'd know a lot about stealing!"

"Troublemaker!"

"Maybe a day in the stocks will cool you down."

She fights them, and eventually escapes. As the guards begin to chase, Phoebus blocks them with Achilles, and they fall to the ground. Guard 1 is in the right spot, and... "Achilles! Sit!" Achilles does as he is told and sits on top of Guard 1. "Oh, dear, I'm sorry. Naughty horse, naughty! He's just impossible! Really, I can't take him anywhere."

"Get this thing off me!"

Guard 2 approached Phoebus. "I'll teach you a lesson, peasant!"

He whips out a small dagger, to which Phoebus pulls out his shining sword. "You were saying...Lieutenant?"

Guard 2 realizes who it is. "Oh, Captain! At your service, sir!"

Phoebus sheathes his sword, then bends down to Guard 1. "I know you have a lot on your mind right now, but...the Palace of Justice?"

The guards made a path for Captain Phoebus. As he walks, he sees some coins on the ground. He picks them up and drops them in the hat of an old man sitting on the street. After he passes, the "old man" pulls his hood down to reveal Djali sitting on Esmeralda's head. She looks at him curiously. Soon Esmeralda arrived at home just in time to get ready for the festival. Inside her tent were the scouts. "You girls are not gonna believe what happened out there."

Mulan asked, "What happened?"

Esmeralda said, "A captain actually defended me. Now that's a first."

Tiana asked, "Surely he wanted to help."

Esmeralda said, "Or gain my trust to break it down. I don't trust anyone in uniform."

Rapunzel asked, "I know the guards can be cruel, but you can't always judge a book by its cover."

Esmeralda said, "I know y'all been here for a short time but this place is nothing like it seems. People torturing others just because they're different making the people fear God."

Merida sighs. "Wonder if that fear will ever be lifted."

Esmeralda said, "They need to be reminded that God is gentle and forgives. Not someone that damns people for the heck of it.

Anna asked, "Was there a time before then?"

Esmeralda said, "Not since before the Black Plague. I pray we never go through it again.

Elsa said, "Can't imagine this whole city wiped out over something terrible."

Meanwhile, Phoebus is trying to move through the crowd, but Achilles is refusing to come along. "Come on, boy. Achilles! Heel!"

The Palace of Justice, in the dungeon, a guard in the next room is whipping a prisoner, as Frollo listens. Phoebus enters. Frollo said, "Guard!"

"Sir?"

Frollo said, "Ease up. Wait between lashes. Otherwise the older sting will dull him to the new."

Guard said, "Yes, sir."

Frollo turns to Phoebus. "Ah, so this is the gallant Captain Phoebus, home from the wars."

Phoebus said, "Reporting for duty, as ordered, sir."

Frollo said, "Your service record precedes you, Phoebus. I expect nothing but the best from a war hero of your calibre."

Phoebus said, "And you shall have it, sir. I guarantee it."

Frollo said, "Yes. You know, my last captain of the guard was, um, a bit of a disappointment to me." A whip crack and a scream interrupts Frollo. Phoebus appears startled at the crack. "Well, no matter. I'm sure you'll whip my men into shape."

Phoebus said, "Uh, thank you, sir, uh, very, uh, trem-uh, a tremendous honor, sir."

Frollo said, "You come to Paris in her darkest hour, Captain. It will take a firm hand to save the weak-minded from being so easily misled."

Phoebus asked, "Misled, sir?"

Frollo said, "Look, Captain-gypsies. The gypsies live outside the normal order. Their heathen ways inflame the peoples' lowest instincts, and they must be stopped."

Phoebus was a bit surprised. "I was summoned from the wars to capture fortune tellers and palm readers?"

Frollo said, "Oh, the real war, Captain, is what you see before you. For twenty years, I have been taking care of the gypsies, one...by...one." On each of the last three words, Frollo crushes one of three ants on a tile. He flips the tile over, revealing scores of ants scurrying around underneath. "And yet, for all of my success, they have thrived. I believe they have a safe haven, within the walls of this very city. A nest, if you will. They call it the Court of Miracles and their spies trying to take me down."

Phoebus asked, "What are we going to do about it, sir?" Frollo slams the tile back down upside down, and turns it, crushing the remainder of the ants. "You make your point quite vividly, Sir."

Frollo said, "You know, I like you captain. Shall we?" He begins to leave, when the crowd below begins to cheer loudly. "Oh, duty calls. Have you ever attended a peasant festival, Captain?"

He answered, "Not recently, sir."

Frollo said, "Then this should be quite an education for you. Come along."

Meanwhile, Quasimodo climbing down the side of the cathedral. He wanders into the crowd, as an oncoming group of people begin to sing.

COME ONE! COME ALL! LEAVE YOUR LOOMS AND MILKING STOOLS COOP THE HENS AND PEN THE MULES! COME ONE! COME ALL! CLOSE THE CHURCHES AND THE SCHOOLS! IT'S THE DAY FOR BREAKING RULES! COME AND JOIN THE FEAST...OF...

Then Clopin popped out. "FOOLS! ONCE A YEAR WE THROW A PARTY HERE IN TOWN ONCE A YEAR WE TURN ALL PARIS UPSIDE DOWN EVERY MAN'S A KING AND EVERY KING'S A CLOWN ONCE AGAIN, IT'S TOPSY TURVY DAY! IT'S THE DAY THE DEVIL IN US GETS RELEASED"

(On the day, we think the most of those with least)

EVERYTHING IS TOPSY TURVY AT THE FEAST OF FOOLS!

Quasimodo is working his way through the crowd, but he can't escape Clopin, who seems to be singing to Quasimodo. TOPSY TURVY!

Clopin sang, "EVERYTHING IS UPSY-DAISY!"

TOPSY TURVY!

Clopin sang, "EVERYONE IS ACTING CRAZY DROSS IS GOLD AND WEEDS ARE A BOUQUET THAT'S THE WAY ON TOPSY TURVY DAY!"

Quasimodo, having joined a chorus line of dancers, is shoved away, through a curtain and comes crashing into the dressing tent of the girls. "Hey! Are you all right?"

Quasimodo said, "I didn't mean to...I'm sorry."

Esmeralda said, "You're not hurt, are you? Here, here, let's see."

Quasimodo said, "No, no, no!"

Esmeralda tries to pull the hood away from Quasi's face, and he is unsuccessful at stopping her. Djali, upon seeing Quasi's face, sneers. Esmeralda, however, doesn't flinch. "There. See, no harm done. Just try to be a little more careful."

Quasimodo said, "I-I-I will." He starts to leave.

Esmeralda said, "By the way, great mask!"

As Quasi exits, he returns to the celebration outside. "TOPSY TURVY!"

As Judge Claude Frollo, Phoebus, and the guards enter the scene, Clopin jumps onstage to present the girls. "COME ALL AND SEE THE 3 SINGING SIRANS!" Soon the curtain opened and it showed Cinderella, Snow White, and Aurora dress as mermaid singing opera. "THE SWORD JUGGLER!" Jasmine came up, juggling fake swords and even catching one in her teeth. "POISIN IVY!" Belle walked out covered in plants and with a small magic trick, makes it look like the plants were moving. "THE ICE AND FIRE BREATHERS!" Then Elsa and Anna walked out. Elsa using her ice powers while Anna was blowing fire as if it came from her mouth. "KAPPA!" Then Tiana came out dressed and looked like a Japanese Kappa demon. "THE INSANE!" Alice came out in a straightjacket twisting and turning as though she lost her mind. "THE DEMON SLAYER! Mulan came out in her armor in fancy Asian make-up and slashes the paper so fast it cut into 4 pieces before anyone can blink. "SKIN CHANGER!" Pocahontas came out in her Indian clothes but has animal skin on as a coat and antlers on her head. "BULLS-EYE!" Merida came out and with her bow and arrow in hand, she hits every target present, even a wine barrel and then wine leaked out. "AND THE IRON HAIR!" Rapunzel came out wither her hair on display. She took a weapon smashed it down and the weapon broke into pieces. Everyone was in awe but the grand show was about to begin. "COME ONE! COME ALL! HURRY, HURRY, HERE'S YOUR CHANCE SEE THE MYSTERY AND ROMANCE COME ONE! COME ALL! SEE THE FINEST GIRL IN FRANCE MAKE AN ENTRANCE TO ENTRANCE DANCE LA ESMERALDA...DANCE!"

On the last word, Clopin and the girls disappears in a puff of smoke, and Esmeralda appears in their place. She proceeds to perform a sultry dance. Frollo said to Phoebus, "Look at that disgusting display."

Phoebus said enthusiastically, "Yes, sir!"

She continues to dance. She pulls out a handkerchief and wraps it around Frollo's head playfully, using it to pull him closer. She moves in to kiss him but jumps away at the last moment. Frollo yanks the handkerchief off his head. Clopin said, "And now, ladies and gentlemen, the piece de resistance! HERE IT IS, THE MOMENT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! HERE IT IS, YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT'S IN STORE! NOW'S THE TIME WE LAUGH UNTIL OUR SIDES GET SORE! NOW'S THE TIME WE CROWN THE KING OF FOOLS! You all remember last year's king!?" Last year's king, carried on the shoulders of the crowd, belches loudly. "SO, MAKE A FACE THAT'S HORRIBLE AND FRIGHTENING MAKE A FACE AS GRUESOME AS A GARGOYLE'S WING!"

Hugo is watching from far above. "Hey!"

Clopin asked, "FOR THE FACE THAT'S UGLIEST WILL BE THE KING OF FOOLS! WHY?"

TOPSY TURVY!

"UGLY FOLKS, FORGET YOUR SHYNESS!"

TOPSY TURVY!

"YOU COULD SOON BE CALLED YOUR HIGHNESS!"

PUT YOUR FOULEST FEATURES ON DISPLAY BE THE KING OF TOPSY TURVY DAY!

Clopin has been pulling contestants onto the stage. Esmeralda pulls Quasimodo to the stage. Esmeralda works her way down the line, ripping off masks and revealing the ugly faces underneath. The festivities continue until Esmeralda reaches Quasi. She tries to pull Quasi's mask off, but soon realizes that it's not a mask. "That's no mask!"

"It's his face!"

"He's hideous!"

"It's the bell ringer from Notre Dame!"

Quasi, realizing that people are disgusted by him, is devastated. Frollo realizes that the only man left standing on stage is Quasimodo. Clopin, trying to keep things festive, jumps in. "Ladies and gentlemen, don't panic. We asked for the ugliest face in Paris, and here he is! Quasimodo, the hunchback of Notre Dame!"

Upon hearing Clopin, the crowd once again grows festive, and Clopin crowns Quasimodo the King of Fools. "ONCE A YEAR, WE THROW A PARTY HERE IN TOWN"

HAIL TO THE KING!

"ONCE A YEAR, WE TURN ALL PARIS UPSIDE DOWN"

OH, WHAT A KING!

"ONCE A YEAR THE UGLIEST WILL WEAR A CROWN"

GIRLS, GIVE A KISS

"ONCE A YEAR ON TOPSY TURVY DAY"

WE'VE NEVER HAD A KING LIKE THIS

"AND IT'S THE DAY WE DO THE THINGS THAT WE DEPLORE ON THE OTHER THREE-HUNDRED-AND-SIXTY-FOUR ONCE A YEAR WE LOVE TO DROP IN WHERE THE BEER IS NEVER STOPPIN' FOR THE CHANCE TO POP SOME POPINJAY AND PICK A KING WHO'LL PUT THE TOP IN TOPSY...TURVY...DAY (TOPSY TURVY)"

MAD AND CRAZY, UPSY-DAISY TOPSY TURVY DAY!

From above, the Gargoyles whoop and cheer, while down on the ground, the crowd chants "Quas-i-mod-o!" To the side, Guards 1 and 2 are watching. Then a Guard asked, "You think he's ugly now? Watch this!" He throws a tomato at Quasi, hitting him square in the face. The crowd quickly goes quiet.

"Now that's ugly!"

Another Guard said mockingly, "Hail to the king!"

He throws another tomato. Soon, Quasi is being pelted with produce of all kinds. Shouts come from all directions. Quasi is soon lassoed and tied down on a rotating platform. He is spun around, as onlookers continue their torment. He sees Frollo watching and shouts for help. "Master! Master, please! Help me!"

Phoebus has seen enough. "Sir, request permission to stop this cruelty."

Frollo said, "In just a moment, Captain. A lesson needs to be learned here."

As soon as he's said this, the crowd gasps and goes silent. Phoebus and Frollo look up to the stage and see Esmeralda and the girls ascending the steps. She kneels next to Quasimodo. "Don't be afraid. I'm sorry. This wasn't supposed to happen."

Frollo yelled, "You! Gypsy girl! Get down at once!"

Belle said, "Yes, your honor. Just as soon as we free this poor creature."

Frollo yelled, "I forbid it!" Esmeralda whips out a knife and cuts the ropes holding Quasi. Frollo points to Esmeralda. "How dare you defy me!"

Esmeralda said, "You mistreat this poor boy the same way you mistreat my people. You speak of justice, yet you are cruel to those most in need of your help."

Frollo yelled, "Silence!"

The girls yelled angrily, as she raising her arm and fist, "Justice!"

Frollo said, "Mark my words, gypsies. You will pay for this insolence."

Esmeralda said, "Then it appears we've crowned the wrong fool. The only fool I see is you!" She threw the crown to him as it lands near his feet.

Frollo said, "Captain Phoebus! Arrest her."

Phoebus motions for his guards to move in and arrest Esmeralda. They surround the stage. Esmeralda said, "Now, let's see." She started to count the guards. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten of you, and one of me. What's a poor girl to do?" She begins to cry, then disappears in an explosion of smoke leaving the girls alone.

Frollo yelled, "Witchcraft!"

Then they heard something from another location. It was Esmeralda. "Oh, boys! Over here!"

She leads the guards on a wild chase. At one point, she knocks a large cage containing an old prisoner to the ground. It goes rolling away, until it comes to a stop and the lock breaks open. He steps out. "I'm free, I'm free!" He trips and falls into the stockade, which closes and locks. "Dang it."

Meanwhile, Esmeralda continues to evade the guards. At one point, she and Djali jump on top of the crowd, which carries them away to safety. Two guards attempt the same move, and the crowd quickly moves away. She grabs a helmet from one of the guards and throws it like a frisbee. It hits three guards and knocks them out, before almost chopping Phoebus' head off. "What a woman!"

Two guards on horseback are chasing Esmeralda. As she leaps over Frollo's stand, someone throws the guards a staff. Each holding onto an end, the horizontal staff slices through Frollo's stand, sending him diving for cover. Esmeralda ascends to the top of a stand, then promptly disappears. Frollo said to Phoebus, "Find her, Captain! I want her alive!"

Phoebus said, "Yes, sir. Seal off the area, men. Find the gypsy girl, and do not harm her!"

Frollo ridden over to Quasimodo. He hangs his head low. Quasimodo whispers, "I'm sorry, master. I will never disobey you again." He moves to the entrance to the cathedral as the rain begins to fall. He goes in, then slowly closes the door to his freedom.

Meanwhile Phoebus and the guards searching for Esmeralda. She is disguised, again with Djali as the old man. She sneaks into the church. Phoebus sees her and recognizes who it is. He follows her in alone. As he comes up behind her, she turns and grabs his sword. "You!"

She forces him to the floor, holding him there with the tip of his sword at his chin. "Easy, easy-I just shaved this morning."

Esmeralda asked, "Oh, really? You missed a spot."

Phoebus said, "All right, all right. Just calm down. Just give me a chance to apologize."

Esmeralda asked, "For what?"

As she lets down her guard for a split second, Phoebus grabs the sword from her hands and turns it on her. "That, for example."

Esmeralda said, "You sneaky son of a—"

Phoebus said, "Ah, ah, ah! Watch it-you're in a church."

She has picked up a staff with candles on top. "Are you always this charming, or am I just lucky?"

She swings the staff at Phoebus, who blocks it with his sword. They fight. Phoebus said between Esmeralda's swings, "Candlelight...privacy... music. Can't think of a better place for hand-to-hand combat! You fight almost as well as a man!"

Esmeralda said, "Funny. I was going to say the same thing about you."

Phoebus asked, "That's hitting a little below the belt, don't you think?"

Esmeralda said, "No. This is." She swings one end of the staff at Phoebus' crotch. He blocks it with his sword. She quickly hits him in the face with the other end of the staff.

He shakes it off. "Touché!" Djali butts him in the chest. "I didn't know you had a kid."

Esmeralda said, "Well, he doesn't take kindly to soldiers."

The fighting has subsided. "Eh, I noticed. Permit me. I'm Phoebus. It means "sun god." And you are?"

Esmeralda asked, "Is this an interrogation?"

Phoebus said, "It's called an introduction."

Esmeralda asked, "You're not arresting me?"

Phoebus said, "Not as long as you're in here. I can't."

Esmeralda said, "You're not at all like the other soldiers."

Phoebus said, "Thank you."

Esmeralda asked, "So, if you're not going to arrest me, what do you want?"

Phoebus said, "I'd settle for your name."

Esmeralda said, "Esmeralda."

Phoebus said, "It's beautiful. Much better than Phoebus, anyway."

As they gaze into each other's eyes, neither notices Frollo and guards approaching. "Good work, Captain! Now, arrest her."

Phoebus still has his back to Frollo. He whispered to Esmeralda, "Claim sanctuary." She looks at him oddly. "Say it!"

Esmeralda said, "You tricked me!"

Frollo said, "I'm waiting, Captain."

Phoebus said, "I'm sorry, sir. She claims sanctuary. There's nothing I can do."

Frollo said, "Then drag her outside at—"

Then the archdeacon has entered. "Frollo! You will not touch her!" Then he said to Esmeralda, whom he as approached. "Don't worry. Minister Frollo learned years ago to respect the sanctity of the church."

Frollo and the guards turn to leave. Frollo ducks around a pillar and doubles back. As the remainder of the people have passed, Frollo jumps out, grabs Esmeralda's arm and twists it behind her. He whispers into her ear. "You think you've outwitted me, but I am a patient man, and gypsies don't do well inside stone walls." He pauses, then breathes deeply, smelling Esmeralda's hair.

Esmeralda asked, "What are you doing?"

Frollo said, "I was just imagining a rope around that beautiful neck."

Frollo caresses her neck, as he pulled on her necklace tight but she pulls away. "I know what you were imagining."

Frollo said, "Such a clever witch. So, typical of your kind, to twist the truth to cloud the mind with unholy thoughts. Well, no matter." He begins to leave. "You've chosen a magnificent prison, but it is a prison nonetheless. Set one foot outside, and you're mine!"

He exits, pulling the door shut behind him. She rushes over to another door, only to find guards outside. "Frollo's orders! Post a guard at every door."

She slams it shut. Djali comes back to her. "One thing, Djali-if Frollo thinks he can keep us here, he's wrong."

Archdeacon said, "Don't act rashly, child. You created quite a stir at the festival. It would be unwise to arouse Frollo's anger further."

Esmeralda said, "You saw what he did out there, letting the crowd torture that poor boy. I thought if just one person could stand up to him, then..." She sighs. "What do they have against people who are different, anyway?"

Archdeacon answered. "You can't right all the wrongs in this world by yourself."

Esmeralda said, "No one out there's going to help, that's for sure."

Archdeacon said, "Perhaps there's someone in here who can." He gracefully motions towards the inside of the church, then exits.

Esmeralda moves into the church. As she looks like a statue of the holy mother and her child, she placed her fingers on her necklace. It was a colonial tambourine necklace done in gold plated silver. The tambourine necklace is a typical Filipino heirloom jewelry which were patterned to resemble rosaries and were widely popular during the Spanish colonial period. They have a reliquary with glass windows to house small items or relics which serves as the pendant. This particular piece houses an image of the Madonna & Child and has apatite jewels. She sings, God Help the Outcasts. "I DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN HEAR ME OR IF YOU'RE EVEN THERE I DON'T KNOW IF YOU WOULD LISTEN TO A GYPSY'S PRAYER YES, I KNOW I'M JUST AN OUTCAST I SHOULDN'T SPEAK TO YOU STILL I SEE YOUR FACE AND WONDER WERE YOU ONCE AN OUTCAST TOO? GOD HELP THE OUTCASTS HUNGRY FROM BIRTH SHOW THEM THE MERCY THEY DON'T FIND ON EARTH GOD HELP MY PEOPLE WE LOOK TO YOU STILL GOD HELP THE OUTCASTS, OR NOBODY WILL" She walks through the church slowly, as the shadows of those walking past her float over her.

I ASK FOR WEALTH I ASK FOR FAME I ASK FOR GLORY TO SHINE ON MY NAME I ASK FOR LOVE I CAN POSSESS I ASK FOR GOD AND HIS ANGELS TO BLESS ME!

Esmeralda is slowly moving to the light streaming through a giant stained-glass window. Meanwhile, upstairs, Quasi has heard Esmeralda's voice, and has come downstairs to watch her. "I ASK FOR NOTHING I CAN GET BY BUT I KNOW SO MANY LESS LUCKY THAN I PLEASE HELP MY PEOPLE THE POOR AND DOWNTROD I THOUGHT WE ALL WERE THE CHILDREN OF GOD, GOD HELP THE OUTCASTS, CHILDREN OF GOD." She finishes her song in the center of the light from the window.

Meanwhile, a parishioner has spotted Quasi. "You! Bell ringer! What are you doing down here!?" Startled, Quasi jumps and knocks over a candle staff. "Haven't you caused enough trouble already?"

Quasi runs off to his staircase. Esmeralda gives chase. "Wait! I want to talk to you."

Quasi comes out the top of the staircase, followed by Esmeralda and Djali. The 'goyles watch from above. Laverne said, "Look! He's got a friend with him."

Hugo said, "Yeah, maybe today wasn't a total loss after all."

Victor said, "A vision of loveliness!"

Hugo said, "The one in the dress ain't bad either." Quasi reaches his room, where the 'goyles greet him. "Quasi!"

Victor said, "Congratulations!"

Hugo said, "Got the girls chasing you already!"

Quasimodo said, "Actually, I—"

Victor said, "You mustn't run too fast, or she'll get away!"

Quasimodo said, "Yes, ah, ah, ah, I know. That's what—"

Hugo said, "Give her some slack, then reel her in, then give her some slack, then reel her in, then give her some slack—"

Laverne said, "Knock it off, Hugo-she's a girl, not a mackerel."

Esmeralda finally enters, and the 'goyles go stone. "Here you are. I was afraid I'd lost you."

Quasimodo said, "Yes. Um, well, I uh, I have chores to do. It was, uh, nice...seeing...you...again. Ohh..."

Esmeralda said, "No, wait!" Djali is examining Hugo. He briefly comes to life, makes kissing faces at Djali, then goes back to stone. Djali is confused. Giving chase to the once again fleeing Quasimodo. "I'm really sorry about this afternoon. I had no idea who you were. I would never in my life had...pulled...you...up on the...stage." She slows down as she reaches Quasimodo's room, with its dangling glass mobile and model of the city. She is in awe. "What is this place?"

Quasimodo said, "This is where I live."

Esmeralda asked, "Did you make all these things yourself?"

Quasimodo said, "Most of them."

She fingers the mobile. "This is beautiful. If I could do this, you wouldn't find me dancing in the streets for coins."

Quasimodo said, "But you're a wonderful dancer and your friends have wonderful acts."

Esmeralda said, "Well, it keeps bread on the table, anyway as for the girls, theirs were a given. What's this?"

Quasimodo said, "Oh, no, please oh, I'm not finished-I still have to paint them..."

Esmeralda was surprise. "The blacksmith, and the baker. You're a surprising person, Quasimodo. Not to mention lucky. All this room to yourself."

Quasimodo said, "Well, it's not just me-there's the gargoyles, and of course the bells. Would you like to see them?"

Esmeralda said, "Yes, of course. Wouldn't we, Djali?" Djali, who has been munching on an unpainted figure, slurps it into his mouth.

Quasimodo said, "Follow me. I'll introduce you."

Up in the bell tower, Esmeralda said, "Never knew there were so many."

Quasimodo said, "That's Little Sophia, and... " Then said quickly, "Jean Marie, Ann Marie, and Louise Marie. Triplets, you know."

Esmeralda asked, "And who's this?"

Quasimodo said, "Big Marie."

From under Big Marie, Esmeralda shouts, "Hello!", which echoes and resonates richly.

Quasimodo said, "She likes you. Would you like to see more?"

Esmeralda asked, "How 'bout it, Djali?" Djali, under Big Marie, belches loudly, which in turn echoes and resonates richly. "We'd love to."

Quasimodo said, "Good. I've saved the best for last!"

Quasi and Esmeralda proceed outside to a beautiful view of Paris and the Seine. Esmeralda said, "I bet the king himself doesn't have a view like this! I could stay up here forever."

Quasimodo said, "You could, you know."

Esmeralda said, "No, I couldn't."

Quasimodo said, "Oh, yes, you have sanctuary!"

Esmeralda argued back, "But not freedom. Gypsies don't do well inside stone walls."

Quasimodo said, "But you're not like other gypsies. They're...evil."

Esmeralda asked, "Who told you that?"

Quasimodo said, "My master, Frollo. He raised me."

Esmeralda asked, "How could such a cruel man have raised someone like you?"

Quasimodo yelled, "Cruel?! Oh, no. He saved my life. He took me in when no one else would. I am a monster, you know."

Esmeralda asked, "He told you that?"

Quasimodo said, "Look at me."

Esmeralda said, "Give me your hand." She takes his hand and looks at his palm.

Quasimodo asked, "Why?"

Esmeralda said, "Just let me see." Tracing his palm lines with her finger she said, "Hmm, a long-life line...oh, and this one means you're shy. Hmm. Hmm, hmm, hmm...well, that's funny..."

Quasimodo said, "What?"

Esmeralda said, "I don't see any."

Quasimodo asked, "Any what?"

Esmeralda said, "Monster lines. Not a single one. Now you look at me. Do you think I'm evil?"

Quasimodo said, "No, no, no! You are kind, and good, and—"

Esmeralda interrupted, "-and a gypsy. And maybe Frollo's wrong about the both of us."

Below, the 'goyles are straining to listen in. Hugo asked, "What did she say?!"

Laverne said, "Frollo's nose is long, and he wears a truss."

Hugo said, "Hah! Told ya! Pay up!" Victor hands him a gold coin.

Back to the rooftop, Quasimodo got an idea. "You helped me. Now I will help you."

Esmeralda said, "But there's no way out. There's soldiers at every door."

Quasimodo said, "We won't use a door."

Esmeralda asked, "You mean...climb down?"

Quasimodo said, "Sure. You carry him, I carry you."

Esmeralda said, "Okay. Come on Djali." Djali hops into her arms as she put a scarf around his eyes.

Quasimodo asked, "Ready?"

Esmeralda said, "Yes."

Quasimodo said, "Don't be afraid."

Esmeralda said, "I'm not afraid." Quasi leaps over the edge and holds on to a gargoyle head. "Now I'm afraid."

Quasimodo said, "The trick is not to look down." The goat lost his sight blocker and did was Quasimodo told him NOT to do. Quasi begins swinging down the exterior of the cathedral.

Esmeralda asked, "You've done this before?"

Quasimodo said, "No." Quasi finally stops on a slanted roof.

Esmeralda said, "Wow. You're quite an acrobat."

Quasimodo said, "Thank you—" His words are cut short as the tile they're on breaks free and they begin to slide down the roof as if they were on a sled. They're able to jump off their sled just before it goes sailing off into the air. It lands a few blocks away.

The guards on the ground hear the crash and go off to investigate. "Check the alley!"

"This way!"

As the guards passed by, Quasi, Esmeralda and Djali hide as part of a statue. When the coast is clear, they speak again. Quasimodo said, "I hope I didn't scare you."

Esmeralda said, "Not for an instant." Djali groans as his heart is only just now beginning to beat again.

Quasimodo said, "I'll never forget you, Esmeralda."

Esmeralda said, "Come with me."

Quasimodo asked, "What?!"

Esmeralda said, "To the Court of Miracles. Leave this place."

Quasimodo said, "Oh, no. I'm never going back out there again. You saw what happened to me today. No. This is where I belong."

Esmeralda said, "All right, then I'll come to see you."

Quasimodo asked, "What? Here? But, the soldiers, and Frollo, and..."

Esmeralda said, "I'll come after sunset."

Quasimodo said, "At sunset, I ring the evening mass, and after that, I clean the kooisters, and then I ring the vespers, and—" Esmeralda gives Quasimodo a little peck on the cheek. "-Whatever's good for you." Just then 13 people in robs but hunch back was walking to the church where Esmeralda and Quasimodo are. "They're friends are here."

Esmeralda pulls a talisman off her neck and hands it to Quasi. "If you ever need sanctuary, this will show you the way."

Quasimodo asked, "But how?"

Esmeralda said, "Just remember: 'When you wear this woven band, you hold the city in your hand'."

Djali bleats as the guards are returning. Quasimodo yelled, "Hurry! You must go!"

Esmeralda swings down a rope to the ground and runs off into the dark followed by the girls following her blocking the view. Soon they all arrived home. Belle asked, "Are you alright?"

Esmeralda said, "I'm fine. You're not going to believe this but Phoebus actually helped me again."

Snow White asked, "As in Sanctuary?"

Esmeralda said, "Exactly. And I have to admit, he's kinda cute."

Jasmine said, "Sounds like my story but reverse."

Aurora said, "We saw you and the bell ringer and came to get you as soon as we could. He helped you get out?"

Esmeralda said, "He did. Turns out he's more of a prisoner then I am thanks to Frollo." She asked, "Could he be the enemy you told me about?"

Cinderella said, "Can't be certain."

Pocahontas asked, "Did you see any marks?"

Esmeralda said, "None that I can see. And he's a holy man. How can he worship the devil?"

Mulan said, "Trust us we've been side swiped before."

Tiana said, "My world had one and saw All Evil nearly face to face."

Rapunzel said, "And normally they're marks would be hidden from sight, either from clothes, jewels or in their bodies."

Merida said, "Case in point, Mor'du the demon bear from my home."

Anna said, "I shudder at the thought of his monster form."

Elsa said, "Me too."

Esmeralda asked, "How bad was the last one?"

Alice said, "A giant tentacle monster." Esmeralda made a disquieting face. "Hey you asked."

Meanwhile, Quasimodo climbs back up to his tower. As soon as he reaches the ledge, Phoebus appears. "Hi there. I'm looking for the gypsy girl. Have you seen her?" Quasimodo gets very angry at the sight of a guard. He takes a swing. "Whoa, whoa! Easy!"

Quasimodo yelled, "No soldiers! Sanctuary! Get out!"

Phoebus tried to explain herself. "Wait! All I wanted was to—"

But Quasimodo yelled, "Go!"

Phoebus tried again. "I mean her no harm!"

Quasimodo yelled again, "Go!"

Quasi grabs a torch and begins swinging it at Phoebus. Phoebus backs off, but Quasi continues to swing. Backed down the stairs, Phoebus finally draws his sword and swings, pinning the torch against the wall. Quasimodo has grabbed Phoebus by the chest. Phoebus said, "You tell her from me, I didn't mean to trap her here, but it was the only way to save her life. Will you tell her that?" No response. "Will you?"

Quasimodo said, "If you go. Now!"

Phoebus said, "I'll go. Now, will you put me down, please?" It turns out that Quasi has been holding Phoebus several feet off the floor. Quasi sets Phoebus down. Phoebus starts to leave, then turns to say something. "Oh. And one more thing. Tell Esmeralda she's very lucky."

Quasimodo asked. "Why?"

Phoebus said, "To have a friend like you. All she has are those girls and rumor has it, they come and go as they please with no rhyme or reason." He put his sword away and walked away.

Later on, Quasi returns to his room and the gargoyles. Hugo said, "Hey hey! There he is!"

Victor said, "You ejected that tin-plated baboon with great panache!"

Hugo said, "The nerve of him! Snooping around here trying to steal your girl."

Quasimodo asked, "My girl?"

Laverne said, "Esmeralda. Dark hair, works with a goat. Remember?"

Hugo said, "Boy, I do! Way to go, lover boy!"

Quasimodo asked, "Loverboy!? Oh, no, no..."

Laverne said, "Oh, don't be so modest."

Quasimodo said, "Look. I appreciate what you're all trying to do, but let's not fool ourselves. Ugliest face in all Paris, remember? I don't think I'm her type."

The gargoyles slowly melt into the background as Quasimodo begins to sing. "SO MANY TIMES, OUT THERE I'VE WATCHED A HAPPY PAIR OF LOVERS WALKING IN THE NIGHT. THEY HAD A KIND OF GLOW AROUND THEM IT ALMOST LOOKED LIKE HEAVEN'S LIGHT. I KNEW I'D NEVER KNOW THAT WARM AND LOVING GLOW THOUGH I MIGHT WISH WITH ALL MY MIGHT NO FACE AS HIDEOUS AS MY FACE WAS EVER MEANT FOR HEAVEN'S LIGHT BUT SUDDENLY AN ANGEL HAS SMILED AT ME AND KISSED MY CHEEK WITHOUT A TRACE OF FRIGHT I DARE TO DREAM THAT SHE MIGHT EVEN CARE FOR ME AND AS I RING THESE BELLS TONIGHT MY COLD DARK TOWER SEEMS SO BRIGHT I SWEAR IT MUST BE HEAVEN'S LIGHT!"

As Quasimodo rings the bells, we see a group of monks in the ground level of the cathedral. At the Palace of Justice, inside the bedchamber of Frollo looked outside his window looking at the church. "Beata Maria, you know I am a righteous man

Of my virtue I am justly proud"

Et tibit Pater (And to you, Father)

"Beata Maria, you know I'm so much purer than the common, vulgar, weak, licentious crowd"

Quia peccavi nimis (That I have sinned)

"Then tell me, Maria, why I see her dancing there? Why her smold'ring eyes still scorch my soul"

Cogitatione (In thought)

"I feel her, I see her, the sun caught in her raven hair Is blazing in me out of all control"

Verbo et opera (In word and deed)

As Frollo sings, the flames in the fireplace take the form of a dancing Esmeralda, dancing for Frollo's pleasure. "LIKE FIRE, HELLFIRE THIS FIRE IN MY SKIN THIS BURNING DESIRE IS TURNING ME TO SIN!" The walls of the room and the flames suddenly become a row of judges, all dressed in red robes. Frollo is terrified. "IT'S NOT MY FAULT! I'M NOT TO BLAME! IT IS THE GYPSY GIRL THE WITCH WHO SENT THIS FLAME IT'S NOT MY FAULT IF IN GOD'S PLAN, HE MADE THE DEVIL SO MUCH STRONGER THAN A MAN!" Fire wrapped around him. "PROTECT ME, MARIA! DON'T LET THIS SIREN CAST HER SPELL DON'T LET HER FIRE SEAR MY FLESH AND BONE DESTROY ESMERALDA AND LET HER TASTE THE FIRES OF HELL OR ELSE LET HER BE MINE AND MINE ALONE!"

The room returns to normal as a guard pounds on the door, then enters. "Minister Frollo, the gypsy has escaped."

Frollo yelled, "What!?"

"She's nowhere in the cathedral. She's gone."

Frollo was stumped. "But how, and... never mind. Get out, you idiot! I'll find her. I'll find her if I have to burn down all of Paris!" Then he made his revelation. He signed it as he removed his ring showing his mark. "HELLFIRE, DARK FIRE NOW GYPSY IT'S YOUR TURN! CHOOSE ME OR YOUR PYRE BE MINE, OR YOU WILL BURN! GOD HAVE MERCY ON HER GOD HAVE MERCY ON ME BUT SHE WILL BE MINE, OR SHE WILL BURN!"

The next morning, Frollo was exiting his carriage exhausted. Waiting for him is Phoebus. "Attention! Morning, sir." He noticed that Frollo had baggy and pink eyes and was moaning. "Are you feeling all right?"

Frollo replied, "I had a little trouble with the fireplace."

Phoebus said, "I see. Your orders, sir?"

Frollo said, "Find the gypsy girl."

Shortly later, troops ransacking a home, eventually finding a group of gypsies hidden in a trap door. They gypsies are lined up outside, with Frollo looking down at them. "Ten pieces of silver for the gypsy Esmeralda." He shoves a handful of coins out, but there are no takers. "Lock them up!" Then Frollo's men push a carriage into the Seine. As it begins to sink, gypsies come floating to the surface. Once again, they're lined up, with Frollo surveying them. "Twenty pieces of silver for the gypsy Esmeralda!" Again, no takers. "Take them away!" Then at a house with a large windmill. Frollo's guards have found gypsies there. Frollo is interrogating the miller. "We found this gypsy talisman on your property. Have you been harboring gypsies?"

The Miller said, "Our home is always open to the weary traveler. Have mercy, my lord."

Frollo said, "I am placing you and your family under house arrest until I get to the bottom of this. If what you say is true, you are innocent and you have nothing to fear."

The Miller said, "But we are innocent, I assure you! We know nothing of these gypsies!"

Frollo pulls their door shut, then bars it shut with a guard's staff. He turns to Phoebus. "Burn it."

Phoebus was baffled. "What!?"

Frollo said, "Until it smolders. These people are traitors and must be made examples of." Frollo hands him a torch.

Phoebus said, "With all due respect, sir, I was not trained to murder the innocent."

Frollo said, "But you were trained to follow orders." Phoebus takes the torch and douses it in a bucket of water. "Insolent coward." Frollo grabs another torch and touches the flame to the windmill. The entire structure is quickly engulfed in flame. Phoebus crashes through the window and brings the family outside to safety. As the building continues to burn, guards grab Phoebus. "The sentence for insubordination is death. Such a pity- you threw away a promising career."

Phoebus said, "Consider it my highest honor, sir."

Frollo raises a spear and is about to kill Phoebus, when Phoebus kicks Frollo's horse. The horse bucks, and Frollo is thrown off. Phoebus escapes the guards, hops on Frollo's horse and is off. "Hit him! And don't hit my horse!" As Phoebus rides off, he is showered with arrows. One of them goes through his shoulder, and he falls off the horse, off the bridge that he's riding over, and into the river. A volley of arrows follows him in. Esmeralda, who has witnessed the entire spectacle in disguise, gasps. "Don't waste your arrows. Let the traitor rot in his watery grave! Find the girl! If you have to burn the city to the ground, so be it!"

Esmeralda runs down the hill to the river, keeping under cover. She wades into the water, then dives under. She comes back up with the unconscious Phoebus. She pulls him out of the water as we dissolve to a long shot of Paris burning. Frollo is approached by a guard. "Sir! We've looked everywhere, and still no sign of the gypsy girl."

Frollo said, "I had the entire cathedral surrounded, guards at every door. There was no way she could have escaped, unless..."

He looks up to the cathedral's bell tower, and Quasimodo's home. In the tower, the 'goyles talking. Laverne said, "Oh, it doesn't look good."

Victor said, "It's hopeless. Absolutely hopeless."

Hugo was playing cards with a pigeon. "You're telling me! I'm losing to a bird!"

Victor said, "Oh, that poor gypsy girl. I'm beginning to fear the worst."

Laverne said, "I know, but, now, don't you say anything to upset"

Victor said, "He's worried enough already."

Hugo said, "Yeah, you're right. We'd better lighten up."

Victor said, "Shh, shh, shh! Here he comes!"

Laverne said, "Now just stay calm."

Victor said, "Not a word."

Hugo said, "Easy does it."

Victor said, "Stone faced."

Then Quasimodo reached his home. "Any sign of her?"

Victor quickly breaks up. "Oh, it's a lost cause! She could be anywhere! In the stocks, in the dungeon, on the rack!" Begins to cry.

Laverne said, "Nice work, Victor."

Quasimodo said, "No, he's right. What are we going to do?"

Hugo asked, "What are you guys talking about? If I know Esmeralda, she's three steps ahead of Frollo, and well out of harm's way!"

On "Esmeralda", Hugo shows a Queen from his deck of cards. On "three", he shows a 3, and on "Frollo", he shows a joker. "Do you really think so?"

Hugo said, "Hey, when things cool off, she'll be back. You'll see."

Quasimodo asked, "What makes you so sure?'

Laverne said, "Because she likes you. We always said you were the cute one."

Hugo said, "I thought I was the cute one!"

Laverne said, "No, you're the fat, stupid one with the big mouth!"

Hugo asked, "What are you saying, exactly?"

Laverne said, "Take it from us, Quasi. You've got nothing to worry about."

Hugo said, "Yeah, you're irresistible."

Victor said, "Knights in shining armor certainly aren't her type."

Hugo said, "And those guys are a dime a dozen. But you? You're one of a kind. Look...

PARIS, THE CITY OF LOVERS IS GLOWING THIS EVENING TRUE, THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S ON FIRE, BUT STILL, THERE'S L'AMOUR. SOMEWHERE OUT THERE IN THE NIGHT HER HEART IS ALSO ALIGHT AND I KNOW THE GUY SHE JUST MIGHT BE BURNING FOR... A GUY LIKE YOU, SHE'S NEVER KNOWN, KID A GUY LIKE YOU A GIRL DOES NOT MEET EVERY DAY! YOU'VE GOT A LOOK THAT'S ALL YOUR OWN, KID COULD THERE BE TWO?"

LIKE YOU?

NO WAY!

Hugo sang, "THOSE OTHER GUYS THAT SHE COULD DANGLE ALL LOOK THE SAME FROM EVERY BORING POINT OF VIEW YOU'RE A SURPRISE FROM EVERY ANGLE MON DIEU ABOVE, SHE'S GOTTA LOVE A GUY LIKE YOU!"

Victor sang, "A GUY LIKE YOU GETS EXTRA CREDIT BECAUSE, IT'S TRUE, YOU'VE GOT A CERTAIN SOMETHING MORE!"

Hugo sang, "YOU'RE ACES, KID"

Laverne sang, "YOU SEE THAT FACE, YOU DON'T FORGET IT"

WANT SOMETHING NEW?

Hugo sang, "THAT'S YOU"

FOR SURE!

Laverne sang, "WE ALL HAVE GAPED AT SOME ADONIS"

Victor sang, "BUT THEN WE CRAVE A MEAL MORE NOURISHING TO CHEW"

Hugo sang, "AND SINCE YOU'RE SHAPED LIKE A CROISSANT IS"

NO QUESTION OF SHE'S GOTTA LOVE A GUY LIKE YOU!

A distinct slowdown in the music finds Laverne sitting on top of a piano. "CALL ME A HOPELESS ROMANTIC BUT QUASI, I FEEL IT"

Victor sang, "SHE WANTS YOU SO ANY MOMENT SHE'LL WALK THROUGH THAT DOOR"

Hugo comes through the door dressed as Esmeralda. "FOR...A GUY SO SWELL"

A GUY LIKE YOU WITH ALL YOU BRING HER I TELL YOU, QUASI A FOOL COULD TELL THERE NEVER WAS IT'S WHY SHE FELL ANOTHER, WAS HE? FOR YOU KNOW WHO FROM KING TO SERF TO THE BOURGEOISIE YOU RING THE BELL THEY'RE ALL A SECOND STRINGER

YOU'RE THE BELL RINGER! WHEN SHE WANTS OOH-LA-LA THEN SHE WANTS YOU-LA-LA SHE WILL DISCOVER, GUY, YOU'RE ONE HECK OF A GUY, WHO WOULDN'T LOVE A GUY LIKE YOU?

Hugo sang, "YOU GOT A LOT, THE REST HAVE NOT SO SHE'S GOTTA LOVE A GUY LIKE YOU!" Finally, it was over.

Then they heard someone. "Quasi? Quasimodo!?" They turn and see the girls. "We need your help." Soon Esmeralda enter.

Quasimodo asked, "Esmeralda?! Esmeralda! You're all right! I knew you'd come back."

Esmeralda said, "You've done so much for me already, my friend, but I must ask your help one more time."

Quasimodo said, "Yes, anything."

The girls bring in the unconscious body of Phoebus. "This is Phoebus. He's wounded, and a fugitive like me. He can't go on much longer. I knew he'd be safe here. Please, can you hide him?" asked Esmeralda.

Quasimodo said, "This way."

They lay Phoebus down on Quasi's bed. He moans gently and comes to. "Esmeralda?"

Esmeralda calmed him down. "Shh, shh, shh. You'll hide here until you're strong enough to move."

She pulls out a flask of alcohol. Phoebus said, "Great. I could use a drink." She pours it on his wound, and he cries out in pain. "Ah, yes! Hmmm! Feels like a 1470 Burgundy. Not a good year."

Esmeralda said, "That family owes you their lives. You're either the single bravest soldier I've ever seen, or the craziest."

Phoebus said, "Ex-soldier, remember? Why is it, whenever we meet, I end up bleeding?"

Esmeralda said, "You're lucky. That arrow almost pierced your heart."

Phoebus said, "I'm not so sure it didn't." They move closer and closer, then kiss.

Quasimodo, in the background, turns away sad. I KNEW I'D NEVER KNOW THAT WARM AND LOVING GLOW THOUGH I MIGHT WISH WITH ALL MY MIGHT NO FACE AS HIDEOUS AS MY FACE WAS EVER MEANT FOR HEAVEN'S LIGHT.

The girls saw how sad Quasi was and walked up to him. Belle said, "We're sorry Quasimodo. We know what's it like losing a loved one, one way or another."

Quasimodo said, "Least you have family that love you."

Snow White said, "But we also had someone that tried and kill us."

Quasimodo was shocked. "Who?"

Jasmine said, "Long story short: we're not as we seem to be and there will always be targets on our backs. We're just lifting the burden off the innocent much like you, Esmeralda and Phoebus."

Aurora said, "And the demons that fight us, are nearly as dangerous the demon in the holy book."

Cinderella said, "Some from our own family…"

Pocahontas said, "Other people we barely know of."

Mulan said, "But we do what we can to bring justice the way God wants us to."

Tiana said, "Through love and light not fear of going to hell."

Rapunzel said, "Worry too much would be too much of the mind and it would shatter."

Merida said, "We also know that he forgives to those that ask it and punish those that truly deserves it."

Anna said, "For instance: do you truly believe your mother would abandon you?"

Quasimodo said, "I'm deformed of course she would."

Else showed him her ice powers. "We're different and we're still loved."

Alice said, "Not everything is what it seems."

Djali, looking out the window, begins to bleat excitedly. Quasi rushes to the window. "Frollo's coming. You must leave. Quick, follow me! Go down the south tower steps."

Esmeralda said, "Be careful, my friend. Promise you won't let anything happen to him."

Quasimodo said, "I promise."

Esmeralda said, "Thank you." She, the girls and Djali leave.

The 'goyles come back to life. Laverne said, "Quick, we gotta stash the stiff!"

They hurriedly drag Phoebus' body off the bed and underneath the table with Quasi's models on it. He hurriedly tries to set his models straight as Frollo enters. He feigns surprise. "Oh, master, I didn't think you'd be coming—"

Frollo said, "I'm never too busy to share a meal with you, dear boy. I brought a little treat." He clears his throat slightly, and Quasi realizes he hasn't set the table. He rushes off to grab the dishes, and is obviously flustered, dropping and breaking things. "Is there something troubling you, Quasimodo?"

Quasimodo said, "No. No!"

Frollo said, "Oh, but there is. I know there is." Frollo has pulled out a bunch of grapes. One falls to the floor, near Phoebus. Quasi cautiously picks it up. "I think...you're hiding something."

Quasimodo said, "Oh, no, master. There's nothing—"

Frollo said, "You're not eating, boy."

He quickly gobbles a handful of grapes. "It's very good. Thank you." Phoebus moans. Quasi moans similarly, indicating he enjoys the food. Phoebus sighs louder. Quasi kicks him, knocking him out, then pretends to cough to cover up the noise. "Seeds."

Frollo looked at the models. "What's different in here?"

Quasimodo said, "Nothing, sir."

Frollo asked, "Isn't this one new?" Picks up the Esmeralda figure. "It's awfully good. Looks very much like the gypsy girl I know." A nasty look creeps across his face as his voice rises. "You helped her escape!"

Quasimodo said, "But I—"

Frollo said, "And now, all Paris is burning because of you!"

Quasimodo said, "She was kind to me, master."

Frollo with his temper smashes the table and its setting. "You idiot! That wasn't kindness, it was cunning! She's a gypsy! Gypsies are not capable of real love! Think, boy! Think of your mother!" Frollo takes a moment to recompose himself. "But what chance could a poor, misshapen child like you have against her heathen treachery? Well, never you mind, Quasimodo. She will be out of our lives soon enough. I will free you from her evil spell. She will torment you no longer." He took a dagger, stabbed the figurine and burned it over a candle fire.

Quasimodo asked, "What do you mean?"

Frollo said, "I know where her hideout is, and tomorrow, at dawn, I attack with a thousand men."

He exits, and Phoebus emerges. "We have to find the Court of Miracles before daybreak. If Frollo gets there first...are you coming with me?"

Quasimodo said, "I can't."

Phoebus said, "I thought you were Esmeralda's friend."

Quasimodo said, "Frollo's my master. I can't disobey him again."

Phoebus said, "She stood up for you. You've got a funny way of showing gratitude and didn't you listen to those girls. Not everything is all that is seems." He pauses, while Quasi turns away. "Well, I'm not going to sit by and watch Frollo massacre innocent people. You do what you think is right." He turns and leaves.

Quasimodo turn to the 'goyles. "Look. What am I supposed to do? Go out there and rescue the girl from the jaws of death, and the whole town will cheer like I'm some sort of hero? She already has her knight in shining armor, and it's not me. Frollo was right. Frollo was right about everything. I'm tired of trying to be something I'm not." Laverne hands him a coat. "I must be out of my mind!"

At ground level, Phoebus is exiting the cathedral. No sooner has he stepped outside, then Quasi hops in front of him. "Phoebus!" Phoebus shouts out in surprise. "I'm coming with you!"

Phoebus said, "I'm glad you changed your mind."

Quasimodo said, "I'm not doing it for you. I'm doing it for her."

Phoebus asked, "You know where she is?"

Quasimodo said, "No, but she said this would help us find her."

Quasi pulls out the talisman and hands it to Phoebus. "Good, good, good! Ahhh. Great!" He examines it. "What is it?"

Quasimodo said, "I'm not sure."

Phoebus said, "Hmm. Must be some sort of code. Maybe it's Arabic. No, no, it's not Arabic. Maybe it's ancient Greek..."

Quasimodo whispered to himself, "When you wear this woven band, you hold the city in your hand."

Phoebus asked, "What?"

Quasimodo said, "It's the city!"

Phoebus asked, "What are you talking about?"

Quasimodo said, "It's a map!" Points to the center. "See, here's the cathedral, and the river, and this little..."

Phoebus said, "I've never seen a map that looks like this and..."

"...and this is it...and this is not it!"

They both breathe deeply, then Phoebus gives in. "All right, okay. You say it's a map, fine, it's a map. If we're going to find Esmeralda, we have to work together. Truce?" He slaps Quasi on the back.

Quasimodo said, "Well...okay." Quasi slaps Phoebus back. Phoebus winces from the pain. They start off. "Sorry."

Phoebus said, "No, you're not."

Soon they entered into a single light entering a graveyard. They approach a central grave, with a symbol on it. Phoebus said, "This looks like the symbol on the map."

Quasimodo asked, "But what does it mean?"

Phoebus said, "Hmm. I'm not sure. I can make out an inscription, but it's going to take a few minutes to translate it." Quasi pushes the lid off the grave, revealing a staircase going down. "Yes, well, or we could just go down those stairs."

They end up in a partially flooded chamber, lined with skeletons. Quasimodo asked, "Is this the Court of Miracles?"

Phoebus answered, "Offhand, I'd say it's the Court of Ankle Deep Sewage. Must be the old catacombs." As they proceed, they fail to notice three of the skeletons rise behind them. "Cheerful place. Kinda makes you wish you got out more often, eh Quasi?"

Quasimodo answered, "Not me. I just want to warn Esmeralda and get back to the bell tower. I don't want to get in any more trouble."

Phoebus said, "Speaking of trouble, we should have run in to some by now."

Quasimodo asked, "What do you mean?"

Phoebus said, "You know, a guard, a booby trap..." And their torch blows out, leaving them in darkness. "...or an ambush."

Suddenly, the chamber is fully lit, and they're surrounded by skeletons. They force them to their knees in front of a now unmasked Clopin. "Well, well, well. What have we here?"

"Trespassers!"

"Spies!"

Phoebus said, "We are not spies!"

Quasimodo said, "Can't you listen—" They're both gagged.

Clopin said, "Don't interrupt me! You're very clever to have found our hideaway. Unfortunately, you won't live to tell the tale."

They are led into a complete underground town, teeming with gypsies. "MAYBE YOU'VE HEARD OF A TERRIBLE PLACE WHERE THE SCOUNDRELS OF PARIS COLLECT IN A LAIR MAYBE YOU'VE HEARD OF THAT MYTHICAL PLACE CALLED THE COURT OF MIRACLES."

Clopin sang, "HELLO, YOU'RE THERE!"

WHERE THE LAME CAN WALK AND THE BLIND CAN SEE

Clopin sang, "BUT THE DEAD DON'T TALK SO YOU WON'T BE AROUND TO REVEAL WHAT YOU'VE FOUND!"

WE HAVE A METHOD FOR SPIES AND INTRUDERS RATHER LIKE HORNETS PROTECTING THEIR HIVE

Clopin sang, "HERE IN THE COURT OF MIRACLES"

WHERE IT'S A MIRACLE IF YOU GET OUT ALIVE!

Quasi and Phoebus have been taken up to a platform, where nooses are placed around their necks. Clopin said, "Gather around, everybody! There's good "noose" tonight!" The gypsies laugh. "It's a double header, a couple of Frollo's spies!" The crowd boos. "And not just any spies! His captain of the guard, and his loyal, bell ringing henchman!" Then he sang, "JUSTICE IS SWIFT IN THE COURT OF MIRACLES I AM THE LAWYERS AND JUDGE ALL IN ONE WE LIKE TO GET THE TRIAL OVER WITH QUICKLY BECAUSE IT'S THE SENTENCE THAT'S REALLY THE FUN!" Clopin is about to pull the handle to drop the floor out from underneath Quasi and Phoebus. "Any last words?" Phoebus and Quasi mumble through their gags. "That's what they all say! NOW THAT WE'VE SEEN ALL THE EVIDENCE—"

WAIT! I OBJECT!

"OVERRULED!"

I OBJECT!

"QUIET!"

DANG.

Clopin sang, "WE FIND YOU TOTALLY INNOCENT... WHICH IS THE WORST CRIME OF ALL!"

SO, YOU'RE GOING TO HANG!

Clopin starts to pull the handle, but stops at Esmeralda's shout, "Stop!" She and the appeared from the crowd.

Quasi/Phoebus muffled, "Esmeralda!"

Esmeralda said, "These men aren't spies-they're our friends!" Esmeralda removes the nooses and gags.

Clopin asked, "Why didn't they say so!?"

Quasi/Phoebus/Scouts said, "We/They did say so!"

Esmeralda points at Phoebus. "This is the soldier that saved the miller's family," Then she points at Quasi. "and Quasimodo helped me escape the cathedral."

Phoebus shouts to crowd. "We came to warn you! Frollo's coming! He says he knows where you're hiding, and he's attacking at dawn with a thousand men."

Esmeralda said, "Then let's waste no time! We must leave immediately!" Gypsies begin running everywhere, beginning to pack up. Esmeralda moves close to Phoebus. "You took a terrible risk coming here. It may not exactly show, but we're grateful."

As she moves closer, Phoebus sees Quasi's depressed look. "Don't thank me. Thank Quasimodo. Without his help, I would never have found my way here." Quasi's face brightens up, but only for a moment.

Then they heard Frollo. "Nor would I!" Frollo and his men appear in the doorway. Soldiers surround the people and take the gypsies into custody. "After twenty years of searching, the Court of Miracles is mine at last." To Quasi. "Dear Quasimodo, I always knew you would someday be of use to me."

Esmeralda asked, "What are you talking about?"

Frollo said, "Why, he led me right to you, my dear."

Esmeralda yelled, "You're a liar!"

Frollo said, "And look what else I've caught in my net-Captain Phoebus, back from the dead. Another miracle, no doubt. I shall remedy that." To all. "There will be a little bonfire in the square tomorrow, and you're all invited to attend." To guards. "Lock them up."

Quasimodo said, "No, please, master."

Frollo said, "Take him back to the bell tower, and make sure he stays there."

Morning, where a huge crowd has gathered to watch the burning of Esmeralda, who is on a pyre. Frollo stands next to her. Gypsies and the scouts watch from cages. As the archdeacon comes out to see what is happening, guards block him off. Frollo said, "The prisoner Esmeralda has been found guilty of the crime of witchcraft. The sentence: death!" Cheers go up from the crowd. "The time has come, gypsy. You stand upon the brink of the abyss. Yet even now, it is not too late. I can save you from the flames of this world, and the next. Choose me, or the fire." She spits in his face. "The gypsy Esmeralda has refused to recant. This evil witch has put the soul of every citizen of Paris in mortal danger..."

Meanwhile to the chained Quasimodo, his friends tried to break the chains. Hugo said, "Come on, Quasi! Snap out of it!"

Victor said, "Your friends are down there!"

Quasimodo said, "It's all my fault."

Laverne said, "You gotta break these chains!"

Quasimodo said, "I can't. I tried. What difference would it make?"

Victor said, "But you can't let Frollo win!"

Quasimodo said, "He already has."

Hugo asked, "So, you're giving up? That's it?"

Laverne said, "These chains aren't what's holding you back, Quasimodo."

Quasimodo said, "Leave me alone."

The 'goyles finally give up and move away. Hugo said, "Okay. Okay, Quasi, we'll leave you alone."

Victor said, "After all, we're only made of stone." Victor and Hugo turn to stone.

Laverne said, "We just thought maybe you were made of something stronger..." Laverne turns to stone.

Quasi sees Esmeralda below, about to be burned at the stake. He begins to pull at the chains. "...for justice, for Paris, and for her own salvation! It is my shameful duty to send this poor girl back where she belongs!"

Frollo touches the torch to the pyre, starting the fire. "No!" He begins to pull harder and harder. The bells begin to quietly ring as he shakes the very building, ripping out pillars of stone. Finally, he is freed. He races off and grabs a rope. Leaping off the edge of the cathedral, he lassos a gargoyle and rappels down the side of the building. Finally, he's close enough. He jumps off, flies out over the crowd and lands on the platform. He quickly breaks Esmeralda's ropes. A trio of guards come at him, but Quasi grabs a torch and swings it at them, scaring them off. He grabs the rope and climbs back to the top of the building.

Frollo yelled, "Quasimodo!"

He reaches the top of the building and stands in front of the giant stained-glass window. He holds Esmeralda's body high above his head. "Sanctuary! Sanctuary! Sanctuary!"

The crowd cheers. Frollo is not pleased. "Captain!"

"Sir?"

Frollo said, "Seize the cathedral!"

Back to the top, Quasi has brought the still unconscious Esmeralda into the bedroom. He lies her down on the bed. "Don't worry. You'll be safe here."

Quasi leaps down, then grabs a beam of wood and throws it at the advancing soldiers on the ground. They scurry like ants. Frollo yelled, "Come back, you cowards!" To guards at Phoebus' cage. "You men! Pick up that beam! Break down the door!"

The men oblige Frollo, leaving only Guard 2. Phoebus grabs him around the neck from inside the cage. "Alone at last!" He bonks the guard on the head, and as Guard 2 falls to the ground, he grabs the keys to the lock. The guards, meanwhile, have begun battering the door. Phoebus unlocks himself then the girls.

The girls leaped on top of the cages. "Citizens of Paris! Frollo has persecuted your people, ransacked your city! Now he has declared war on your holy house Notre Dame herself! Will you allow it?!"

"No!"

Their lockets glowed. Belle yelled, "Fight for temperance!"

Snow White yelled, "Fight for compassion!"

Jasmine yelled, "Fight for fairness!"

Aurora yelled, "Fight for love!"

Cinderella yelled, "Fight for hope!"

Pocahontas yelled, "Fight for peace!"

Mulan yelled, "Fight for humility!"

Tiana yelled, "Fight for diligence!"

Rapunzel yelled, "Fight for passion!"

Merida yelled, "Fight for bravery!"

Anna yelled, "Fight for nobility!"

Elsa yelled, "Fight for grace!"

Alice yelled, "Fight for honesty!"

Then all 13 yelled, "FIGHT FOR GOD!" Then they transformed into their scout forms but to the crowd of the people, they thought they were angels.

As the crowd begins to break loose the gypsies, the guards continue their assault. Soon, the crowd swarms around the door. Hugo said, "I think the cavalry's here!"

Quasimodo sees Phoebus. "Hey! Isn't that—"

Hugo said, "Feeble!"

Laverne said, "Doofus!"

Quasimodo yelled, "Phoebus!"

The crowds continue to fight. Quasi continues to drop things on the advancing troops. Victor drops a brick, landing square on a guard's head. "Sorry! Sorry!"

Hugo throws a rock in his mouth, then chomps it up, flies around like a bomber, ending up on the ledge. He begins spitting out pebbles like a machine gun. Meanwhile, Frollo is supervising the guards at the door. "Harder!"

As the fighting continues, a guard breaks the lock off the stockade. The old prisoner is once again free. "I'm free! I'm free!" He steps into a hole labeled "Mon Sewer". "Dang it!"

A grappling hook reaches Quasimodo. He grabs it, then pulls the rope tight. Three guards smash into the building. Meanwhile, Victor and Hugo are building a catapult. They finally are finished and ready to fire. "Ready...aim...fire!" They push the catapult off the ledge, sending it crashing to the ground. Soldiers scatter as it hits. "Are you sure that's how it works?"

The catapult, upside down, springs, sending the cart bottom on top of some soldiers. Hugo said, "Works for me!"

More fighting. Once again, Guard 1 is defeated by Phoebus, and he ends up behind Achilles. "Achilles! Sit!" And the horse obeys but this time on the head.

Laverne sends the birds to attack, ala The Wicked Witch of the West from "The Wizard of Oz'. "Fly, my pretties! Fly! Fly!"

The guards continue to work on the door. "Put your backs into it!"

Meanwhile, Victor is using Hugo as a bellows to warm up the fire on the lead pot. Quasi attaches a rope to it, then dumps it over, sending fire pouring out of the tower and onto the scattering guards below. The guards battering the door run, but Frollo manages to get inside the cathedral safely. As he does, the archdeacon runs up to him. "Frollo, have you gone mad? I will not tolerate this assault on the house of God!"

He shoves the archdeacon to the ground. "Silence you old fool! The hunchback and I have unfinished business to attend to. And this time, you will not interfere."

He closes the door and locks it from the inside. Upstairs, Quasi bursts into the bedroom jubilantly. "We've done it, Esmeralda! We've beaten them back! Come and see!" She doesn't move. "Esmeralda? Wake up! You're safe now." He pauses, but still nothing. "Esmeralda? Oh, no!" He gets a spoonful of water and tries to make her drink it. She doesn't. "Oh no." He begins to cry. Frollo enters and touches Quasi on his hump. "You "killed" her."

Frollo said, "It was my duty, horrible as it was. I hope you can forgive me. There, there, Quasimodo, I know it hurts. But now, the time has come to end your suffering, forever." We see that Frollo has a dagger. As Frollo raises it to stab him, Quasi sees the shadow of the dagger. He turns and struggles with Frollo only briefly, before wresting the dagger from Frollo's hands and backing him into a corner. "Now, now, listen to me, Quasimodo."

Quasimodo said angry, "No, you listen! All my life you have told me the world is a dark, cruel place. But now, I see that the only thing dark and cruel about it is people like you!" He throws away the dagger.

Esmeralda woke up. "Quasimodo?"

He turns and sees Esmeralda sitting on the bed. "Esmeralda!"

Frollo yelled, "She lives!" Frollo grabs a sword.

Quasimodo yelled, "No!" He grabs Esmeralda and runs out onto the balcony. Frollo follows, but when he gets outside, he sees nothing but gargoyles.

After looking left and right, he looks out over the edge and finds Quasi hanging there with Esmeralda. "Leaving so soon?"

He swings his sword, but Quasi dodges the blow by swinging to another spot. Down on the ground, the guards stop to watch. "Up there!" Frollo goes to swing again.

Quasimodo yelled, "Hang on!" Quasi swings off again, just narrowly missing Frollo's sword. Finally, Frollo gets Quasi cornered.

Frollo said, "I should have known you'd risk your life to save that gypsy witch. Just as your own mother died trying to save you."

Quasimodo was shocked. "What!?"

Frollo yelled, "Now I'm going to do what I should have done twenty years ago!" He swings his cape, covering Quasi's head. But as he tries to throw Quasi off the balcony, the panicking Quasi pulls Frollo off as well. Now Frollo is hanging onto Quasi, who is hanging onto Esmeralda. Frollo throws his cape around another gargoyle and pulls himself over. He stands up and is about to swing at Esmeralda. "And He shall smite the wicked and plunge them into the fiery pit!" His last words from the Bible. The gargoyle, however, begins to crack. Frollo is thrown off balance and hangs onto the gargoyle's head. Suddenly, the 'goyle comes to life and roars. Frollo screams, and the now stone gargoyle breaks off, sending Frollo falling to his death.

Meanwhile, Esmeralda is losing her grip on Quasimodo. "Quasimodo! Quasi!" He slips loose and begins to fall. "No!"

He falls right along the building, close enough for Phoebus to catch him several floors below and pull him back into the building. When Quasi sees who has caught him, he and Phoebus hug. Esmeralda comes running in. After Esmeralda hugs him, he takes Esmeralda's hand and Phoebus' hand, and puts them together. They kiss, and Quasi smiles broadly.

Just then the lava burst open as a tall man in white appeared. It was Frollo's monster form. In his form, he wore an armor of white and a large white sword with an inverted cross and he had demon black wings. He turned his head and saw the 3. He reached for them but the church let out a barrier not letting him get them. The scouts noticed. Belle yelled, "Clopin! Get everyone inside, he won't touch the church!"

The scouts help, the scouts and the gypsies help the people inside the church once everyone was inside, although it nearly over flowed, the scout tried to get his attention. Snow White yelled, "Hey Frollo!" He turned to them. "Come and get us coward!"

Soon he was chasing them. Jasmine yelled, "It's working!"

Aurora yelled, "I know! We have to get him away from the church!"

Cinderella said, "Let's split up, and aim for the La Sein river!"

The girls began to split up inside the city. Frollo didn't see them and looked around. "Over here!" He saw Pocahontas. "Earth Shake Chain!" She slammed her hand to the ground. Her touch causes a magical earthquake that causes chains to rise from the earth to ensnare her enemy. It wrapped around Frollo but with the lava coming from his eyes, it melts the chain. Pocahontas got out of there.

Frollo went deeper into town until he saw Mulan. "1000 Swords!" She made the Chinese character for sword using her fan and a thousand swords appeared and stabbed her enemy. Frollo simply absorbed it and aimed it back at her. Luckily, they disappear before they hit her and Mulan disappear too.

Frollo grew angry as he continued his hunt. "Looking for someone!" It was Tiana. "Sound of New Orleans!" She summons a trumpet and as she played it, it blasted sound waves of jazz. Frollo blocked it with his sword. Once he saw Tiana was gone, he went further into town.

Soon enough Rapunzel popped up. "Sunflower Hurricane!" She created flurries of flower blossoms that she used to blind or agitate her opponent. Some of the pedals hits her enemy and exploded on impact. Her opponent was gone.

Frollo yelled, "Where are you?! You can't hide from me forever!"

Merida then popped up. "Guess everything goes with age. Braveheart Break!" She creates and army of energy constructs of Braveheart style soldiers, which charge the enemy. But with a movement of his wings, the soldiers went away. Merida quickly got out of there.

"You can't escape justice from my hands!" Yelled Frollo.

Anna came out. "Well you suck at catching us. Summer Spark-down!" She summons lighting from a summer storm and shot her opponent using the jewel on her forehead. It shot Frollo in the head but it didn't even break his neck.

Frollo yelled, "Such a woman I fear or none?!"

Elsa came out from behind him. "Turn hellhound!" Frollo saw her. Nuclear Winter!" Elsa creates an icy missile explodes and freeze everything within a 30-mile rate. While it did covered part of the town, it didn't phase Frollo.

Frollo yelled, "You're all weak just like the gypsies I kill in the name of God."

Then Belle popped up. "Your way of justice is barbaric. Forest Beast Ferocity!" The rose on the staff opens and a ball of light appear. It turns into an exact replica of the beast and then it roared. The beast charged it but Frollo blocked it's bright from his face to his arms.

"You much as a fool as your beast." He took its jaws and ripped the beast in two.

Frollo got deeper into Paris nearly close to the river when Jasmine jumped out. "Took think a holy man would worship the devil. Supreme Sandstorm!" Sand came out of her hands and it fired like bullets at Frollo. It barely made a dent in his armor.

Frollo smirked and said, "And proud of it." He turns to see her but she was gone.

Then Aurora came and yelled. "Rose Thorn Whip!" She summoned a rose and with a flick of her wrist it turned into a whip. She snapped it and rose pedals go flying and explode on impact. Luckily it blinded Frollo but no dent.

Frollo waved away the smoke and saw she was gone. "I'm tired of these cheap witchcraft tricks!"

Cinderella came out and said, "Good. Cause we're not Glass Slipper Shakedown!" She stomped her left foot on the ground hard and vibrations of the impact went under Frollo nearly impaling him but again his armor was too strong.

Frollo was almost there. "As princesses you're weak. Never worthy to be queens!"

Alice then came out. "Then how about a heroine into a princess? Alice then raises her hand and a ruby heart appears on her palm. She brings down her hand and forces the heart to spin rapidly. She then cries out, "Rolling Heart Strike! " She sends the heart straight at the enemy. It hits the monster hard. Frollo roared loudly as the red hearts surrounded her like a belt until it was covered from head to toe. Unfortunately, Frollo broke out. "That never happened before."

Belle grabbed and got her out of there. "That's because we're only a diversion for the real scout. It's the stupid formula we all go through."

Back at the church, everyone, gypsies and citizens alone, were inside the church kneeling and praying that the scouts can beat Frollo. Quasimodo, Phoebus, and Esmeralda were at the top watching the fight. Esmeralda said, "I can't just stand here and watch the fight. I have to go to them."

Quasimodo turned to her and said, "But Frollo nearly killed you last time. You're safer here."

Phoebus said, "Quasimodo's right. You need to stay here. The scouts have everything under the control." But then he noticed her locket was glowing. "But they need back up." He grabbed her hand and made it down the stairs

Quasimodo was surprised and followed them. "Phoebus! What are you doing?!"

Phoebus said, "If the rumors are right and Esmeralda is a scout her powers are about to come, and the scouts need help." He whistled for his horse. Once out the door, Achilles was there and Phoebus put Esmeralda on the horse. "You need to help them."

Quasimodo finally understood. "He's right, you need to save them to truly free Paris."

Esmeralda looked at her friends and nodded. "Take care of the others I won't be gone long." With a tug of the reins, off she went to the fight." Soon she made to where Frollo was and it was just at the river Sein. "WHO IS THE MONSTER AND WHO IS THE MAN?!"

Frollo turn and saw her. "You witch. You should've chosen me. Now you'll die like all the other devil-worshipers before."

Esmeralda got off the horse and it went back to the church. "That's where you're wrong Frollo. This river maybe where you dump the bodies of the people you killed. But you forgotten, there was one saint that was laid to rest here and her name is St. Joan of Arch." Then an angel appeared next to her. It was indeed St. Joan. St. Joan touched her locket as it finally unlocked her powers. "Heroine Virtues Power…Make Up!" Soon her raggedy white clothes turned into her scout clothes with her tambourine locket in the middle of the bow. "No more this coward would taint this land. Your cruelty ends here. In the name of all that's good, I shall punish you." Frollo charge to attack her when Esmeralda made her tambourine music weapon out. With a few hits, the little gold rings glowed. "Gypsy Gentle Illusion!" She made a small dance as the magic charged at him and hit his head.

Once the light was gone and Frollo opened his eyes he soon saw zombies of his victims crawling on him ripping his armor and clothes to pieces. "Get off of me you demons." He tried to get them off but here's the kicker. They aren't really there it was all in his head. Soon the zombies crawled to his head and started to eat him. Frollo screamed in pain as he grabbed his head but it was all for not as his head exploded leaving an empty husk of his former self. Once dead, his body went away leaving no trace of his evil.

"Did I forget my illusions are never gentle? You got what you deserve you fucker." Said Esmeralda. Soon the other girls joined her and hugged her. "Thank you. I guess you were right. I had it all along. I myself was the key."

Once the girls were in normal clothes, they made it back to the church where everyone was already out. At ground level, Esmeralda and Phoebus reunited. As the crowd cheers, Esmeralda turns back to the open doorway. She comes back and leads out Quasimodo. The crowd goes silent. Soon, a little girl cautiously comes forward from the crowd. She looks at him, then pets his face. They then hug, and Quasi picks her up and put her up on his shoulder. The crowd begins to cheer. As he moves into the crowd, they do not move away as before. The 'goyles are above, breaking out the champagne. Clopin yelled, "Three cheers for Quasimodo!" The crowd breaks into loud cheering.

The girls sang, "SO... HERE IS A RIDDLE YOU NEVER CAN GUESS SING THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME! WHAT MAKES A MONSTER, AND WHAT MAKES A MAN? SING THE BELLS, BELLS, BELLS, BELLS... WHATEVER THEIR PITCH, YOU CAN HEAR THEM BEWITCH YOU, THE RICH AND THE RITUAL KNELLS, OF THE BELLS OF NOTRE DAME!"

A long pullout, as the crowd following Quasi, then the 'goyles looking over them. Birds have once again covered Laverne. "Don't you ever migrate?"

After the small party, the group walked back up to the church. Esmeralda asked, "Now that's Frollo's gone what are you going to do Quasimodo?"

Quasimodo said, "Well I can't leave this church still but I'm going to help this city more often now. Need to show them never to judge a book by its cover. We learned that that hard way. What about you Phoebus? The Palace of Justice now has an opening."

Phoebus said, "I'll stuck being a captain for the moment. But it's up to his majesty on who will take Frollo's place. Hopefully the next guy won't be so ruthless."

Esmeralda asked her friends, "What do we do now?"

Soon their lockets glowed like before and a portal was made but the colors matched Belle. Belle said, "My turn. I need to find Ariel and help her to find Marie." She turned to Snow White. "Will you be alright being in charged?"

Snow White said, "I maybe a bit naive in comparison to you but I can handle it." The girls hugged each other.

Belle then walked into the portal and arrived at a snowy land. "It's Frozen all over again."

Meanwhile in the castle, in a small theater room, the Ice King was the only audience looking on stage. Tonight, he was getting a show. It was a performance segment from a musical called 'Gypsy'. It's about 2 little girls, a stage mom, a dream, and the end of vaudeville and though one dream was a nightmare for a young girl, she blossomed into a beautiful woman while her mother had a nasty record with the justice department.

For those now in the know, Rose and her two daughters, Baby June and Louise, play the vaudeville circuit around the United States in the early 1920s. Rose, the archetype of a stage mother, is aggressive and domineering, pushing her children to perform. While June is an extroverted, talented child star, the older girl, Louise, is shy. The kiddie act has one song, "May We Entertain You", that they sing over and over again, with June always as the centerpiece and Louise often as one of the "boys". Rose has big dreams for the girls but encounters setbacks, such as attempting to borrow money from her father. When Rose meets a former agent, Herbie, she persuades him to become their manager using her seductive and feminine wiles. The girls grow up, and June, now billed as Dainty June, and her act have a chance to perform for Mr. Goldstone of the Orpheum Circuit. Meanwhile, Louise celebrates her birthday alone and asks her birthday present, a lamb, just how old she is this year. After Rose rejects Herbie's marriage proposal, he considers leaving, but she asserts that he could never get away from her. Now billed as "Dainty June and Her Farmboys", the act finally performs on the Orpheum Circuit. June is soon offered a place at a Performing Arts school after an audition. However, Rose turns this down, refusing to break up the act. Louise and June fantasize what life would be like if Rose were married and finished with show business. A few months later, still on the road from show to show, Tulsa, one of the boys from the act, confides in Louise that he has been working on his own act, and Louise fantasizes that she and he could do the act together. Shortly after, June is missing, and in a note, she explains that she has grown sick of her mother and the endless tour and has eloped with Tulsa, and they will do a new act. Rose is hurt, but then optimistically vows that she will make Louise a star, proclaiming that "Everything's Coming up Roses". Louise is now a young woman, and Rose has built a pale imitation of the Dainty June act for her. Using all girls, Rose and Herbie try valiantly to sell "Madame Rose's Toreadorables" to a fading vaudeville industry. However, they are still together. With no vaudeville venues left, Louise and her second-rate act wind up accidentally booked at a burlesque house in Wichita, Kansas, as a means to deter police raids. Rose is anguished, as she sees what a booking in burlesque means to her dreams of success, but Louise persuades her that two weeks' pay for the new act is better than unemployment. As they are introduced to Louise, three of the strippers on the bill advise her on what it takes to be a successful stripper, a "gimmick," something that "makes your strip special". Backstage, Rose proposes marriage to Herbie. He asks her to break up the act and let Louise have a normal life, and she reluctantly accepts, agreeing to marry the day after their show closes. On the last day of the booking, the star stripper in the burlesque show is arrested for solicitation. Desperate, Rose cannot resist the urge to give Louise another nudge toward stardom, and she volunteers Louise to do the strip tease as a last-minute replacement. Disgusted at Rose's blind ambition for her daughter, Herbie walks out on Rose forever. Although reluctant, Louise wants to please her mother and she goes on, assured by Rose that she needn't actually strip, but simply walk elegantly and tease by dropping a single shoulder strap. Shy and hesitant, she sings a titillating version of the old kiddie act song, "May We Entertain You?". She removes only her glove, but she speaks directly to her 'audience', which becomes her "gimmick". In the months that follow Louise becomes secure, always following her mother's advice to "Make 'em beg for more, and then don't give it to them!" The song becomes brasher and brassier, and more and more articles of clothing come off. Ultimately, Louise becomes a major burlesque star and does not need her mother any longer. After a bitter argument between Rose and Louise, who has become the sophisticated "Gypsy Rose Lee," Rose realizes Herbie and June are both gone, and now Louise is lost to her as well. Rose, feeling sad, useless and bitter, asks "Why did I do it? What did it get me?". All of Rose's unrequited dreams of her own stardom and her personal demons surface. She fantasizes about her own lit-up runway and cheering audience, but finally admits "I did it for me." After her admission to Louise, mother and daughter tentatively step toward reconciliation in the end.

Now as years pass the ending sometimes changes. For example: In the 1974 and 2008 Broadway revivals, although the final dialogue scene remains, there is not a happy ending, but rather a bleak, sad one as all hopes of reconciliation for Rose and Louise fall flat when Louise walks away, laughing sarcastically at Rose's new "dream." The audience is then left with a Rose whose dream of her own lit up marquee slowly fades away to her craziness within taking over. Another one is in the 2003 revival starring Bernadette Peters, the final dialogue scene remains, but leaves the ending open to more interpretation from the audience. Louise walks through the stage door, with Rose following behind. Rose then turns to face the audience, a look of sadness and longing on her face as she takes one last look at the empty stage. She pauses and slowly closes the door. And finally: In the 2015 West End revival starring Imelda Staunton, Louise begins to walk out, and Rose catches up after waking up to reality. Louise puts her arm around Rose as they exit together, giving off the appearance that Louise is taking care of Rose instead.

Anyway, the curtains opened to Marie, still under her spell in a dress with white gloves and a stow. The music started as she began to sing. "Let me entertain you Let me make you smile Let me do a few tricks Some old and then some new tricks I'm very versatile And if you're real good I'll make you feel good I'd want your spirits to climb So let me entertain you And we'll have a real good time Yes sir, we'll have a real good time." She tossed a glove, removed the stow as she lowered a strap. Then the curtain closed. When it opened, she changed clothes again. This time it was in gold. "Hello everybody So let me entertain you and we'll have a real good time Yes sir, we'll have a real good time." She removed the petti coat of the dress but as she lifted the up dress a bit, she stopped. Then the curtain closed and when it opened she was in a new dress. A blue shining dress. "Let me entertain you Let me make you smile." Then she started to tease him. "I'm beginning to like this Ooh, I like that, I think I'll do that again My mother, who got me into this business Always told me, make them beg for more and then don't give it to them But I'm not my mother." She turned around showing him her back as she opened her dress. "So, if you beg for more I'll give it to you and we'll have a real good." Then the curtain closed again and when it opened, she was in a fringe dress with a matching hat. "You have to do a few tricks some old and then some new tricks. I'm very versatile. While you were waiting fellas sorry I had to have dinner with the Henry Ford bros. God I couldn't wait to get home and take my clothes off. Well I'm home." She removed her hat and placed it in front of her body as she removed her dress completely. "And we'll have a real good." And then the curtain closed again. After a few minutes the curtain opened again for the grand finally. This time Marie was in a one-sleeve dress and the sleeve looked like a snake. "Pack up your apples girls and back to the trees Bon soir, monsieur et monsieur and that concludes my entire performance in French I've been too busy learning Greek Some men accused me of being an ecdysiast Do you know what that means? Ah he does He's embarrassed, don't be embarrassed I like man without hair Don't worry, fellas, I know you're up there, up there You know what ecdysiast means an ecdysiast is one who or that which Sheds its skin in vulgar parlams, a stripper." She removed her sleeve. "Huh, but I'm not a stripper at these prices I'm an ecdysiast and if you're real good I'll make you feel good I want you spirit to climb." As she danced girls with feathers came and blocked her body as she removed her clothes. "Let me entertain you and we'll have a real good time Yes sir, we'll have a real good time." As the feathers went away, the light was turn off as the Ice King was denied his few of his love in her birthday suit but then again, it's not like he hasn't seen it before but it was a good show.

After the show, Marie was at a beautiful white gazebo waiting for the Ice King. Once there she greeted him. "Hope you like the show I did."

Ice King sat down. "It was wonderful. I didn't know you can dance like that." In truth Marie can't let alone take her clothes off like that. The only time she can be naked is walking from her bathroom to her room since it was just a doorway away.

Marie said as though she was Mae West, "What can I say baby, it's been a fire under my ass for a long time. I need the perfect timing to finally let it out."

Ice King said as he touched her hand, "Maybe we should have those 'nights' more often." He raised his eyebrow hinting what he means.

Marie smirked and gently pushed his hand away. "As I said before, you need to beg for it." She started to walk away sexy. "Plus, you can't afford me."

Then she left the gazebo. Ice King was defeated but then thought of an idea. "Wait." He started to make ice money. "Wait yea I can!" He started to chase after her.

He chased her to the bedroom where she was waiting for him in sexy linguae. "Hello." Ice King smiled and closed the door.
