Sasuke the Manny

Chapter 14: Beach Towels

::

Hinata sat on the beach with her son while Sasuke carried Hikari on his shoulders as they walked deeper into the water. Hikari squealed and held onto his head. Aisa sat in Hinata's lap as she read to him. Hinata held onto her floppy hat as the wind blew pretty hard. Opal eyes lifted to darkening skies. She looked out to see Sasuke spinning her daughter in the water.

"What's wrong Mama?"

Hinata patted his shoulder for him to get up. "It's about to storm," said Hinata. She waved out to the two of them. "Look!" She pointed to the sky as the wind picked up more. Hikari started crying as Sasuke brought her back to shore. "I'm sorry, baby. It's about to rain," explained Hinata.

"Okay but we're already wet! Rain can't hurt!" She whined.

"The water gets really mean. Come on, we should head in."

Sasuke nodded. "I agree. Let's go."

It had been two weeks since the Twins birthday party and the two adults still hadn't worked out their feelings. Actually, it felt like they were avoiding it and alone time. Sasuke tried not to think about it too far because once he did…fate would work itself out and give them plenty of time to talk. For example, Hinata talked to her father about taking off from the office for a while and for some strange reason he was perfectly okay with it. To get them out the house, Sasuke brought them all to the beach again. This time Hinata informed them about the beach house not too far from this spot.

Of course, rich people.

They all helped pack up and Sasuke drove them carefully down the dangerous highway. It was raining super hard. Hinata told him to pull over until it eased up some. She didn't want any accidents and he did.

And as fate would have it, the Twin fell asleep.

Sasuke looked out the window and honestly wondered why they haven't talked about it. He did say he needed to talk to her about something about yet… it was never discussed.

"Hyuuga…"

Hinata turned to his strange nickname for her now. Her last name. "Yes?"

He gripped the steering wheel. "I think-"

"They could wake up any minute. If…if you still want to talk when we get to the shore house then we can then…"

Her word was final. Ten minutes passed before the weather let up and Sasuke continued driving. It was a quiet one. Sasuke just couldn't believe he had broken down in front of this woman—his boss. What was it about professional that he couldn't grasp? No kissing. No hugging. No sharing personal information.

Once arriving at a beach house that was almost as nice as the mansion they carried the Twins inside. They both worked to get everyone bathed and fed. The day went by much faster than anyone really liked. Sasuke put them to bed with ease and Hinata checked the weather report. It was supposed to be clear and sunny all week! Sasuke came out of their room and met the Hyuuga heiress in the living room. She was standing in front of the TV with a frown that only a mother could make. "I checked the weather in advance."

"Well…shit happens." He sat on the couch and rubbed his aching arms.

Hinata looked back at the tired male and went to sit beside him. "I suppose you're right… I'm happy you brought up the beach. It's been so long since I've come here."

Sasuke huffed. "Would you believe I hate the beach?"

Her brows furrowed. "Then why…"

"My mother brought me and my brother here a lot. My father would be away on a business trip." He winced as he rolled his shoulder. "I pulled something I know it…"

Hinata hummed and turned his back to her. He stiffed as she rubbed his shoulders. "Gaara loved sand. He'd take these little bottles and bottle up sand from the different beaches he traveled to. It was nice."

"Sounds nice." Sasuke barely managed to get out. This woman had the hands of baby angels. She shifted to get a better grip of his shoulders. "I like you."

She paused for a moment. "I…I like you too."

Sasuke nodded and sighed. "Hold the check this month…you deserve to keep the money for this."

She giggled. "Get on the floor."

He turned to her. "What?"

"Floor."

He obeyed her and laid on his stomach. Onyx eyes widened slightly when he felt her straddle his back. Blessed hands moved from his shoulders to lower back. He released the longest groan of his life. This was half a year of taking care of kids. Yeah. He was twisted up tight from months of soccer, playing video games, letting them use his body as a jungle gym. It was all too mu—

"Feels good?" Hinata questioned. He could only lifted up a shaky thumb. He could feel her body lean forward to reach for his arms and Sasuke was nearly losing his mind. "I appreciate you so, so much, Sasuke."

"No, I'd be lost without you…and the Twins."

She smiled softly and placed her thumbs at the base of his neck. "Come on, that's not true."

He scoffed. "I lived a shitty life, trust me." It was crazy. He was working to do what? Keep himself stable and maybe have some extra money to go out for drinks with the guys. Now…now he spends his check on the kids. It was like he was a substitute father and for some reason it didn't freak him out as much as it would have back in college or even last year. "I appreciate you all."

She stopped. "I'm s-sorry."

Sasuke turned to look over his shoulder as much as he could. "What?"

She lifted herself enough for him to turn over. He sat up with his damn boss in his lap. She took his shoulders and shook her head. "It may not seem like it but you are filling the holes in my family."

"I've noticed."

"And it hasn't run you away… I don't get it."

His hands wrapped around her waist loosely. "I care about those kids…" Hinata rested her forehead on his, her thumbs tracing his jawline. Sasuke huffed and continued, "I care about you."

She nodded. "I care about you too…"

This kiss was…different. There was heavy meanings and silent promises in it. Sasuke pulled the woman closer as she kissed him as if the world was ending. The living room was filling with needy breaths. His hands trailed up her waist and paused. "I have to stop…" he kissed her again for the last time.

She pouted. "W-why?" She kissed his cheek and chin. "Why?"

"I don't want to wake up the kids."

"We won't," countered Hinata.

Sasuke pulled just breathes away and promised, "Trust me. Yes, we will." Hinata looked away with a blush as Sasuke groaned and laid on his back looking up at the Hyuuga woman. "Besides you're my boss."

"Fine. You're fired."

He closed his eyes and listened to the steady rain start again. "You'll break the brats' heart."

She bit her lip and laid beside him. "Sorry."

"Stop apologizing. I'm not some concubine, Hyuuga."

"Concubine?" She laughed.

"Yeah, a conquest. Do I look like a mistress?" He felt almost offended when she didn't reply. Sasuke stood up and helped the woman up. "I'm going to bed. I'm teaching Hikari to swim tomorrow."

She nodded and watched the man jog up the stairs. She sat on the couch and sighed. What did this mean? She did tell herself that she was ready to move on. He understood her feelings, yes? Yes. Of course. Hinata took a deep breath until—"Hyuuga."

"Yes?"

"Get your ass to bed. Now."

She turned to see him smirking from the top of the stairs. Yeah…she would be alright.

::

"I want to talk about something pretty serious," said Sasuke.

The Twins nodded. Sasuke had this certain authoritative tone that left no room for arguing. Sasuke sat on the floor with them in the Entertainment room. "Okay!" Hikari replied. Aisa nodded.

"I would like to take your mother on a date. I know…I'm not your father, Aisa. I will never be but-"

"Okay."

Sasuke coughed. "What?"

The dark haired boy looked over at his sister then to Sasuke and nodded. "I'm okay."

"You understand what a date is?"

"Aunty Ino said its dinner for adults."

Sasuke rubbed his eyes and continued, "Yes, because I like her, you know."

"We know." They chimed.

"Oh…alright. Well, I just wanted your blessings."

Hikari smiled brightly. "You gonna marry mama?"

Sasuke stiffened as they both stared at him expectantly. "I can't say…"

"Yes, you can."

Aisa shook his head. "You can't keep secrets, Kari."

"Can too!"

"Cannot."

"Can too!"

Sasuke grabbed both of their heads. "At peace, twerps."

"When are you going to ask her?" Aisa grabbed his arm.

Hikari locked onto the other one. "Are you gonna smooch mama?"

"You shouldn't be asking questions like that Hikari," said Sasuke. "And I think sometime today."

"So when if you get with my mommy will we get a new nanny?" Aisa asked as Sasuke carried them both on his arms.

"If being the key word but no, I'll still be taking care of you." Sasuke told them honestly. He'll just be unpaid. Ugh. But it stopped being about the money like after a month of being completely pampered in a mansion.

"Where is mama?" Hikari asked.

"She's taking care of somethings at work."

.

"You lied to me."

Itachi closed his eyes as Hinata gripped her coffee mug. "Hyuuga-san…"

"No, I get it. You were trying to be professional but…but you want Sasuke to accept you but you don't—you still don't claim him."

"You must understand-"

"No, I do understand. You're scum." She almost forgot her coffee was hot because otherwise it would have been all over that fancy ass suit. "Uchiha-san-"

"Stop," he snapped. His voice caused her to shake…just like Sasuke's. "I love my brother. Understand that. I do. I love him…you should understand that keeping his name out of things keeps him from Press and the spotlight. He would hate this lifestyle."

That was true.

He adjusted his tie and continued. "I did that I had to so his future would be ensured. He is my little brother…my own brother."

"Uchiha-san…"

He looked up at her with calm pool of onyx eyes. "You didn't know and if you did…you just didn't understand. Don't apologize."

She smiled. "I wasn't going to apologize. I have children of my own, Uchiha-san. If I knew these were the methods my son took to protect my little daughter, my precious and oh so sensitive princess…I would be sourly disappointed. Even if his intentions were good, his methods were sick." She stood up. "You made him feel unwanted and just think an apology is going to fix it? Silly."

"What should I do?" Itachi asked.

"Be a big brother instead of whatever you are doing now…" She put some money down for the coffee. "Good day."

When Hinata walked through the door, Hikari tackled her. "Sasu-chan is going to ask you on a date!"

"Hikari!" Both Sasuke and Aisa shouted.

"H-Huh?" Hinata picked up her daughter as the boys walked up to her.

"I told you she couldn't keep a secret," murmured Aisa.

"You get your Golden star pulled."

"What?" Hikari whined. "I'm sorry! Sasu-chan doesn't like you, mama."

"That's a lie," he hissed. "You know that, right?"

Hinata just laughed as Sasuke took the girl from her arms. "A date?"

The Uchiha moved the little girl to his back. "Yeah, I know the perfect mannies too. If you're up for it."

"Of course. Wait…who?"

::

"Alright you two! Use protection!" Naruto shouted.

"Sasuke! Sasuke, remember this!" Kiba put a peace sign up to his mouth and stuck his tongue out.

Sasuke covered his face as he helped Hinata in the car. Hinata bit her lip. "Do…do you think they will be alright?"

Sasuke sighed. "No but if all else fails, I put Aisa in charge."

Hinata nodded. "Well…let's go then."

As I was reading over this story again I've noted in the beginning Hinata knew about the Uchiha clan and now she's just finding stuff out but guys… that was my bad. It's too late to change it now. (I might eventually. I hate plot holes.) anyway, so this might be ending soon too… so yeah, Taadaa!
