What is the Dang Problem?

Elsa stared at the computer in total, complete, overwhelming astonishment. What was all this?

First order of business: the 'Disney butchered the Snow Queen!' Problem.

Didn't it say 'loosely based' on The Snow Queen? In the credits, in plain sight for all to see? Yes, loosely based. The Snow Queen was a story about a young girl who went on a quest to find her true love, who was a boy, who was kidnapped by the wicked Snow Queen and whose Soul had been corrupted by a shard of an evil mirror?

Wasn't what I went through not that, but me loosing control of my emotions after my powers were discovered and my sister going through shit to save me and putting me, her family, before Kristoff?

Yeah, pretty sure that was it. She shook her head. Why didn't they put Rapunzel through all this? Because that was very different from the original story. The only similarities: royalty, Germany, girl with long hair, witch. Chew on that.

Second: There was no whitewashing. The Snow Queen was Scandinavian, and Frozen was pretty obviously based in the Norse area- the fjords are a pretty obvious giveaway. It's not racist if it's historically and geographically accurate. The Queen shook her head, appalled. Next thing she knew, saying 'Africans and African-Americans used to be slaves and for a long time they had less rights than Caucasians' would be racist! "Disney is whitewashing!" Yeah, right. Ever heard of Jasmine, Pocahontas, Tiana, heck, even Kida!

(Honestly, it made her feel a bit bad about being Caucasian.)

She was fed up with it.

Elsa huffed, and, tossing her hair over her shoulder, turned off the computer and went on a walk.

Everything's racist these days.

This is basically the end of my reaction to several points of view on a 'Is Frozen Racist' debates, and this is what I came up with. This is in no way meant to offend people. But, honestly, all this is seriously hurtful to me- I'm Caucasian, and that line in the parentheses reflects my personal feelings on that, it's really hurtful, all of these stereotypes. And everything does seem to be taken as racist. I just feel kinda sad.
