A/N; Don't own KnA. No I'm not quitting on Trust is Hard to Come By. Just this might help some people understand why Thoth and Anubis won't call Iah by her name (later). Also this is somewhat in a separate universe from that story.
Chapter 1
I walked out on the road again as another one of the higher up Egyptian gods hit my ears. No one in this town liked me, not even my family. I was a basterd of my father, Ra, and even worse, I was kicked to the curb and never thought about by them unless it was for unspeakable things.
As I sat tenderly on the side of the road again, I debated even trying to go home to my mother's house. She would only beat me for not impressing father enough for him to claim me.
I forced myself to stand and begin walking home, but a cry stopped me.
"Thief!" It came from a white haired man and he was pointing at a man whose features were covered. For some reason my claws came out and I reached out for the covered man as he tried to run by me.
"Let go of me, basterd!" The white haired man came closer.
"Give me back the book, Setne." The white haired man stood in front of us now. He got the book back and looked at me. "You may let him go now." My hand losened its grip and the guy ran off. "Well, are you coming or not?" I didn't notice the white haired guy had spoken and started to walk off until I caught myself running to keep up with him.
I didn't know what he had said, but following him had to be better than going home right?
A/N; So please don't hate me, but that's it for now.
