The Contest Announcement is at the end of this chapter.

"LET GO OF ME SO I CAN PUNCH THAT SMUG FACE OF HERS!" Both Sona and Hecarim were holding back Jinx who was just a few yards from this person in front of her. The guest just revealed to them that she was the title holder on half the arcade games there, known as "MSF." There she was with long pink overflowing hair that faded into light blue at the ends, a skimpy corset, small orange vest, pink knitted arm warmers, and purple skirt with a star belt around it. She was wearing a pink and white Gatsby hat and headphones with a star symbol on it. Her figure was that of a mature and sophisticated beauty, but her appearance screamed childish and geeky. She was carrying two large, according to Jinx, NES Zappers. Sona was wondering if the guns she carried could hurt somebody or just blind them in the eyes.

"Please calm down, I don't want any fights here in my store." Hecarim tried to calm down Jinx.

"Or you mean my store, pretty soon." Said the pink haired lady.

"What does she mean by that?" asked Sona.

"Well, ummm, technically, she may be right" he stuttered. Hecarim was sweating bullets in front of the guest.

"Oh, you mean he didn't tell you guys. I guess I'm the only one who knows." She pulled out a flyer. "This flyer was a promotion when you opened the arcade center. To make this place the best arcade here in Piltover, you made a challenge to all the gamers and customers. Says here, in honor of the grand opening of the largest arcade center, I hereby challenge everyone here to overcome the greatest trial that I put forth. Whoever can get the top scores on all the arcade games here, then you will be granted ownership of the arcade center, signed by The Shadow of War, Hecarim." She finished reading the flyer. All eyes were on Hecarim.

"Is this your flyer, Hecarim?" Sona asked.

Hecarim panicked, but finally gave up. "Yes, it was years ago when I made that flyer. It was supposed to attract a bunch of people to my place. I mean a lot of people came to my arcade to take on the challenge, and it was impossible for just one person to be good at all the games here. I was happy that everyone tried the challenge, while the business was profiting, until that one day." He looked over at Jinx. "A certain person came to my place, and in just a day, more than half the games were dominated. That's when I knew that my position as owner was at risk. So, I tried to get rid of all the information about the challenge and retrieve every flyers there was."

"Apparently, you forgot one." She smirked. "And I'm here again to finish the job.

Silence engulfed the room. Until a certain blue-haired gunner spoke up. "Wait a sec, are you saying that I could've owned the place?"

"Well according to that flyer, yes."

Jinx was silent. She calmed down, that's when Sona let her go. Jinx turned to Hecarim with fire in her eyes. "Challenge accepted! I will beat this bitch who tried to beat my high scores and claim ownership of this arcade. This will be easy, like killing two birds with one missile."

"Ha, in your dreams, no one can beat me. I'm the new gamer in town."

"Oh yea? You want to make it interesting?"

"How interesting you talking bout?"

"When I own this place, I will ban you from ever coming here again." Jinx stated.

"Fine, but if I win, I will own this place, but you have to work for me. Yes, slaving your whole life on my pirate ship."

"Wait you have a pirate ship? Cancel the banning, I want your ship when I win."

"Very well, then let the games begin." She shot a bullet into the ceiling. "Haven't got your name yet, but let me introduce myself, Sarah Fortune, but you can call me Miss Fortune."

"Pleasure to meet you, Miss Unfortunate. I'm well known around these parts. Call me Jinx, stands for Jinx! This here is my buddy, Sona-baby!" she said with a glee. Unbeknownst to Jinx, Miss Fortune and Sona knew each other, but the pirate decided to play along.

"It's a fortune to meet you, Sona." Sarah said with a smile. "And to you, punk! May the best gamer win!"

"Bring it on!" Jinx was about to sprint away, but she remembered something. "Oh yeah almost forgot. Here's some change for ya, Gamer Sona. When I get done kicking her ass, we'll get to play together."

"Okay! Have fun! Now, where is Piano Hero?"

Round 1- Zombies in my House

"I'll show you how it's done." Jinx grabbed her game pistol and started the game on the hardest difficulty. Not even a minute and she was surrounded by zombies, but she pulled through. Without wasting any bullets, all shots were perfect headshots. Her quick reactions and fast reload times got her to the last boss. Luckily, she saved all her grenades for the last part and beat the game with an excellent score. "Ha, top that Ms. Unlucky."

"Maybe I will." Ms. Fortune not only grabbed a pistol, but she grabbed two. This surprised Jinx as she set it to the same difficulty as Jinx's, but also set it for 2 players. Suddenly, she was duel wielding and cycling through headshots and quick reload speeds. "Ha ha ha ha! Bet you can't do this." She finished the game with two perfect scores. The intensity level the newcomer displayed was a challenging feat.

"This just got interesting. Don't think you're so luck next round." Jinx said with a smug smirk.

"The fun begins."

Round 2- Moto-Racers

Two stationary motorcycles stood side by side. "Alright, we're doing this on the most difficult map there is: Sparkle Street. It's said that each turn has no room for error. One late turn, and you're out of this map." Jinx got on the motorcycle. "This is my game, since I got this map memorized to every drift."

Miss Fortune finally got on and the race begun. At first they were evenly paced, but Jinx pulled through the curves with perfect drifting. Miss Fortune got through them, but was a tiny bit slower at them. Jinx was just a few feet of her. "Ha this is my win, no way can you keep up."

"He he he."

"What's so funny? Tryin to distract me?"

"Did you really memorize the map? Because if you did, then you would know the secret to this map."

"What secret are you talking about?"

"This." Miss Fortune steered off the cliff, and popped a wheelie while rolling down the mountain-side. Then, she made a sharp turn and pulled a swift 180 degree turn, and got back on track on the map. In just a few seconds she was up ahead of Jinx by half the map.

"WHAT!? THAT'S HACK, HACKER!"

"I'm afraid that this is a legit strategy. Not only did I memorize every curve of this map, but I also memorized every scenery, obstacles, curves, ramps, cliffs, and most of all shortcuts for all racing maps. Guess this is my win, then."

"GRRRRRRRRR!" Jinx grew furious at her and crashed her motorcycle into the river.

Round 3- Tetris

Both of them set the level to the highest possible. The pieces were falling so fast that it looks like it just magically appeared at the bottom to the naked eye. The gamers' eyes adjusted to the falling blocks and predicted every line and shape to how it will go. It was neck and neck, the blocks fluctuated from near the bottom to near the top. Jinx took a quick second to kick her in the sides, but Miss Fortune dodged the kick and proceeded to play Tetris.

"Resorting to violence already?"

"Nope, tactical decision."

"Hmmm, then guess I can do this." Miss Fortune breathed in and started doing something really outrageous and lewd that Jinx couldn't believe. "Ohhhhhh mmmmm yesssss harder harder Oh yessssss. That's it." The pirate started moaning in a deep a lustful manner. Her moans got higher and higher. The moaning caused Jinx to blush a bright red on her face.

"WHAT….Sh-sh-SHUT UP! YOU GODDAM PERVERT!" Jinx was getting flustered at her sexy sounds she was making.

"Why, I'm just enjoying this game a lot. Mmmmmmmm almost there. Oh yessss almoooooost. Oh gooooooodddd!" She continued moaning. Jinx couldn't concentrate on her Tetris game. Suddenly a slip-up in her stacks caused her to misplace certain blocks. She started to panic trying to fix it back to working condition, but it was too late. The words GAMER OVER flashed on her screen. "Well, will you just look at that, I won. To top that off, I also got the highest score. Next time, you play dirty, I play dirtier." Miss Fortune gave Jinx a wink.

"I fucking hate you, bitch."

Round 4- Slots

"Well will you look at that, I think I drained this poor machine out of every gold it got. How you doing over there?"

Jinx was kicking her slot machine in anger. "Stupid stupid stupid machine. Why don't you stop when I tell you to?" Jinx finally gave it one last kick, and gold started spewing out. "Oh look, gold."

Round 5- DDR

They both finished the longest song and most difficult song on Challenge difficulty. While Jinx got an AA rank, Miss Fortune got a AAA rank. "Hey will you look at that. They got your cup size up here."

"I'm going ram your goddam ass with your own pirate ship!" She noticed something while looking around. "Somehow, we're surrounded by a lot of people, mostly guys…..with video recorders?"

"Meh, I'm used to it."

Round 6- Highway Combatant II

"Hmm, I'll pick this person. This monkey looks like it can kick ass with his staff, but his name sounds stupid."

"If you're going to pick that, then I will pick him: The Blind Monk."

"Ha ha ha, what can a blind pacifist do? Bore me to death with his readings? What a joke." Jinx heckled at the pirate's selection. The game started. The Monkey King went straight at the monk with full force spinning staff attack, knocking the opponent into the air, but the monk kicked a beam at him and flashed behind the monkey. He delivered a flurry of punches to him knocking him away. The monkey used his special to make a copy of himself and surrounded the monk, but he managed to deliver a ferocious roundhouse kick to the real monkey. He sent the opponent flying to the wall, defeated. Miss Fortune won the fighting game.

"What? This is unbelievable. Did I even have a chance of winning?"

"Nope, because Lee Sin counters Wukong."

Round 7- Ninja Warrior

"Beat the game and saved the shogun's daughter. It looks like I won…by a landslide?" She looked at Jinx's score which was zero.

"Wait, we're supposed to save who?"

Round 8- Pac-Man

"This game is pretty simple if you know the maze, get a good mapping direction in your head, and predict where the ghosts will go. How're you holding up?" Sarah asked Jinx.

"Mine seems to be out of order, but there's a message on the screen. 'Will return soon. Off to smash.' What the hell does that mean?"

Round 8- Angry Flappy Birds

"YES! I finally go the highest score!" the pirate cheered.

"No fucking way, this game is literally impossible. What score did you get?"

"12."

"…..damn. That's a really high number."

Round 9- Trivial Knowledge

Jinx was finally ahead of Miss Fortune in something she was good about, but the last topic didn't agree with her.

"What do you say when someone says 'Thank you."

A.) You're Welcome

B.) Thank you

C.) I deserve all the glory

"C!" Jinx answered the question "BZZZT! INCORRECT!"

"A!" Sarah answered. "DING DING DING! CORRECT!" "Yesssss!"

"WHAT!? What is this? Another broken machine? Ethics was a stupid quiz topic." Jinx couldn't believe what was going on. She was losing, her, to this wannabe gamer bitch who looks like she belongs in a pink-coated trash can. She didn't want to accept it, but the results showed. "This can't go on any longer, I need a backup plan." She dug around her bag looking for a solution.

Outside the Police Station

Jayce introduced the paid hunter to Officers Caitlyn and Vi. After that, he requested the two show her around town and give her a rundown on how everything works, since she is what people consider…primitive.

"So when you see the green lights, it means that you can cross the street. When it starts flashing red, that means you gotta run as fast as you can before the car runs you over. Got it."

"Under…stood." She said with a nod.

Caitlyn was hanging from behind observing her. She was wearing her hair in her usual long ponytail. Her armor was pretty skimpy, covered in green armor camouflage, untypical of what she usually wore, which was just fur and animal pelts to just cover her shoes and private areas. Behind her she was carrying her well-known weapon that caused serious of damage when struck by it. What was the bestial huntress, Nidalee, doing here in Piltover. She wanted to know why a champion she knew from the Fields of Justice would come here, a big city like this. Why would she agree to Jayce's bounty hunt? Could she be here for the money, or more importantly, does she happen to know Jinx?

"Now you know where you can get good food around this city at midnight. Which reminds me, I could go for a snack right now. Hmm what about that new café that just opened up last month."

Nidalee flinched, "Sorry, not….hungry. Ate earlier."

"Oh alright. Maybe next time when all three of us are on breaks." Vi laughed and gave Nidalee a nice hard smack on her back. Nidalee sighed in relief.

"Close call."

Vi just happened to get friendly with Nidalee while traversing the town. It was because the two had something in common: They both fought with/against each other on the Fields of Justice, and they both have a desire to kill her worse nemesis ever, Jinx.

"Anyways that's a gist of this town. Am I forgetting something? Hey cupcake, any advice you wanna give to Nids, here."

Vi distracted Caitlyn's train of thoughts. "Oh, nothing at all. Just some questions to ask. What are you doing here in Piltover? Why did you agree to Jinx's bounty hunt?"

Nidalee looked Caitlyn straight in the eyes. "I'm here…important business….must attend to." She said in a broken form of English. Before Nidalee came to the League, she couldn't speak any English at all, but after spending time with other champions, she learned how to communicate with others. She tried her hardest just to learn to speak to other people.

"Alright then, I won't divulge any further, because we're fighting on the same team with a common enemy in mind."

"Could you…tell me….more about my target?"

"Certainly. She's-

"A goddam, no-good sack of shit." Vi quickly cut-in Caitlyn. "She deserves every punch for every time she has pissed me off. She treats this city like it's her own playground. Who knows what evil plot she is thinking now?"

Back at the Arcade

"C'mon, concentrate….concentrate…THERE!" The crane went down, but unsuccessfully grabbed nothing. "SON OF A BITCH!"

"Here have this stuffed animal. It looks pitiable, just like you." Sneered Miss Fortune.

"This...machine's…broken, too."

"Must be thinking of a diabolical plot. So anyways, got anything to do tonight? If not, Caits and I were about to go drinking."

"No we're not."

"Or something else, as an introduction to our team." Vi gave Nidalee a huge grin.

"Thank for offer, but…hunting at night…I do best at." She said to Vi. "I want to….start….tonight. Do you two have anything….with smell of them?"

"?" they both looked at her confusedly. "Wait, I might have something in my evidence bag." Caitlyn pulled out a huge plastic bag with Jinx's clothes in them. "These were left at the scene of the bank robbery." Caitlyn handed them to Nidalee. She quickly opened the bag and started inhaling the bag.

"I may be obsessive about catching her, but I'm not that into her." Vi said in disgust.

"No, you blockhead. I'm assuming she's going to track her scent."

"Ohhhhh, I see. Wait a second! I thought only dogs can track scents. She's part cougar, or part puma. Maybe, she's part panther. Now, I don't know what she is."

"I'm pretty sure it's part cougar. She's tracking the scent down with her animal instincts, which might be a great lead. This way, we can follow the scent, then when we track her. The police could surround the area and make it so it's inescapable. Not only we can catch her, but we got the element of surprise for us. Well, Nidalee, if you got a scent, lead us the way." Caitlyn was brought about her plan, but noticed someone was missing. "Uhhh, Vi, where did Nidalee go?"

"Well, right when you started talking, she turned into a cougar, or liger, and pounced from the top of that building to the next. I'm pretty sure she knows where Jinx is."

"Dammit! It would be beneficial for all three of us to work together to finally defeat Jinx." Caitlyn said with a frustrated groan.

"Awww, c'mon." Vi tried to cheer her cupcake up. "You still got me."

Caitlyn sighed.

Round 49- Duck Hunt

Jinx has lost to Miss Fortune 48 times in a row. Jinx was absolutely livid by now at how such a gamer nerd could ever beat her in any games he tried to throw at her. She lost to her at cards, air hockey, bullet hells, go kart racing, and other arcade game. Right now, it was dead even with 20 ducks to 21 ducks killed, with Jinx falling behind.

"Mind asking you something?" asked Miss Fortune.

"What do you want? Can't you see I'm trying to beat you?"

"Well, I was hoping you can answer on how you acquired a friend. Heard from these parts that you work alone." The score was 25-24.

"What's it to you?" she remarked.

"Just curious is all. Just curious on how you and Sona met."

Jinx was distracted by that statement. "How do you know her, bitch?"

With a smirk, she said, "Oh, I just happen to know her somewhere. So let me ask again, how can a nice girl like Sona be with a criminal like you? I mean, you two are exact opposites."

"She's my friend." Jinx said bluntly.

"Ha! Like I ever believe that. How bout this. I've been winning all the games so far. One more after this, I win. It's game over, but I don't want the arcade. I want something else."

"What do you want? My guns, my life, the rights to my theme song in progress?"

"I want Sona."

"Why do you want her?"

"She'd be a great addition to my pirate crew. Also, I love taking things from criminals that don't belong."

"Well, guess what. Deal's off. I'd rather blow up the both of us in smithereens before I hand Sona over to an arrogant, fake-gamer, show-off, big, fake boobs chick. So, you can just suck my rocket launcher." Jinx stuck her tongue at Sarah.

Miss Fortune was silent until she won the Duck Hunt game with a score of 50 ducks to 49 ducks killed. "Well, looks like it's my win. Excuse me while I go take a break and find the last game." When she left, Jinx continued to kill the dog snickering at her for missing a duck.

"Stop. BANG. Laughing. BANG. At. BANG. Me!" But it was no use because the dog in the bushes was still snickering. Jinx sighed. "I'm really going to lose…welp, no use crying about it." Jinx planted another black box under another arcade game. Everything is going according to plan.

"Excuse me, Jinx. Can I have a word with you?" said Hecarim.

"What do you want, you stupid mythical creature?"

"Well, the thing is. I love my job here as manager of the arcade center. It's like a break for me from the Leagues, but I'm afraid I might lose that to Miss Fortune. I want to make a deal with you."

"Why is everyone trying to deal with me? So what, you want Sona, too?"

"No, nothing like that. I want you to give up your pursuit on owning this store."

"Well, if you told me about your damn flyer-"

"But, I want you to win."

"What?"

"I want you to win the last game. If you do, then it will be impossible for Miss Fortune to own the arcade."

"Well, what if I wanted to lose. What if I had other plans in mind?"

"If I know Jinx, then I know that she hates giving up more than losing. I want you to protect my job. If you do this one favor for me, I'll give you any game here as a reward."

The reward got Jinx motivated. "Okay, deal, and doesn't matter what game I choose, it's going to be one."

"Well, best of luck to you."

"I won't be needing it." Jinx then thought to herself. "If I happen to lose, I'll just grab Sona and run out of here. Then, blow this place up. Now no one can own the arcade. It's a goddam brilliant plan. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Hey, loser, you ready to get your ass kicked. I found the last game."

"Coming!"

Last Round

Jinx and Miss Fortune both stared at the machine in front of them. Somehow, Sona was next to them. "Did you guys need a turn on this? I'm having so much fun with this game. Love the selection of songs they have here. Only wished I could go out of my way and write some songs with this keyboard." Said Sona.

"Yeah, we need a turn with this machine."

"Okay, so how's the competition between you two going?"

"Little girl here doesn't know when to give up because I have been winning all the games so far."

"Oh my. Are you doing okay, Jinx?"

"I am perfectly fine. Thank you very much." She said with a strained smile.

"Okay, hope you win this one. It's really fun and enjoyable." The final game was Piano Hero. Jinx didn't know if she could out play the pirate, but it was worth it to find out. This was it. The final battle. If Jinx happened to lose, she had a back-up plan, an explosive one.

"Ready to get your ass kicked." Jinx said to Sarah.

"I could ask you the same thing." They both got on their piano game controllers, put it on the most difficult song, and finally the most difficult setting, expert. Both hands on the piano, they were both ready to start.

"3…2…1…START!" They both got to follow the notes as they tried to match the rhythm of the song. It was fast and rapid. The song was blaring into their ear. Notes kept falling down faster and faster. The scores were evenly matched, but pretty soon, she started missing a few notes, but she got back into first place when the opponent started missing, too. The points between the two were fighting to stay at top. Until the song was over. Jinx and Sarah Fortune played their best, but only the points could tell the true winner.

"Well, guess we were evenly matched, but no matter what, I win." Said Miss Fortune. Take a good luck at the scoreboard.

3rd place JNX

"See, not even 2nd place. Guess the winner is me. Well then, Hecarim. Time for me to take this place as my own." Jinx was about to run out of the arcade and blow this place up and forget about this whole night, not without grabbing Sona. Until she looked back at the scoreboard. The results shocked everybody.

2nd place MSF

"WHAT!" screamed Sarah Fortune. "How could this be? If I'm not first, then who is?"

1st place MSS

"WHO THE HELL IS MSS? Explain this to me, Hecarim before I tear you off in half and replace you with a dead man's legs." She raged. Jinx was shocked at how angry a pirate could get, but she was also wondering who this MSS persona was. Who managed to piss off Sarah to this degree.

"Ummm…MSS stands for Maven of the Strings…Sona." She said behind everybody. Shocked expressions were displayed at her statement.

"No way."

"Unbelievable."

"How the hell did you get first? I'm supposed to be the best gamer. We played the most difficult song on the most difficult setting."

"Really? I thought it was kind of easy. Just follow the flow of the song and let the fingers do the work. This is the only game I've been playing all night." Sona gave them both a smile. "Did I do something wrong?"

"YOU DID IT SONA! CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WON. WAY TO GO!" Jinx ran up and gave Sona the biggest hug. "You saved the arcade and this guy's job. Now, I don't have to blow this place up."

"Wait, was that last part?" said Hecarim.

"This…can't…be." Sarah fell into despair. "It'll take a perfect score just to beat that, but that's just impossible." She sighed. "Guess, I know when to give up. Looks like you get to keep this place, Hec. No surprise that a musician is good at a music game."

"So are you giving up on the arcade?" asked Jinx.

"I'll stop by sometimes. Play some arcades and try and perfect this game, but tonight, I actually had fun. Finally found someone to challenge my skills. What kind of fun will it be if I can't find new people to challenge." She started to walk out of the arcade. "Besides, I found something better." She looked at Jinx and Sona. The friendship between was actually genuine to her. It was something worth looking into. "Anyways, I'm heading out. It's been fun kicking your butt around, but it's getting late. If you guys are up for some arcade fun, give me a shout. Always up for a challenge. Later!"

"And good riddance, bitch." Jinx spat at the ground.

"Thank you, Sona. If it wasn't for you, I'd lose my job. You have my sincerest thanks."

"Oh, I wasn't planning on winning, but you're welcome."

"Don't you have anything else to say, Hec?" Jinx asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't you go backing out of the deal. You said that I can get one game if I stopped her."

"But you didn't. Sona did."

"And guess who's Sona's friend."

"Doesn't matter, the deal's off."

Jinx was about to rage all over Hecarim until she got an idea. "Well, I have a little button that tells me otherwise. If there's one thing that I hate, it's a liar, and vegetables. I'm being nice here and only asking you this once. You give me my game, or this place can bite the dust."

"You wouldn't." Hecarim started to sweat.

"Sona is outside, so she is safe. All I got to do is run out of here and push this button. So what's it gonna be."

Hecarim started to panic, and his worry increased with every passing second. He looked between Jinx and her box with the big red button. Finally, he gave up. "Okay, fine you win. Take a game you want. Just one."

"I know what game I want. I want that on-" Jinx glanced outside and stared at Sona waiting for her to leave. Jinx knew it was Sona who won, and she knew what she had to do. "Actually, I know what I want."

Outside the Arcade Center

"What's taking her so long? I'm ready to fall asleep."

"HERE I AM! Look what I got you." Jinx went up to Sona and handed her an electronic piano.

"Wait a second. Isn't this from tha-"

"Yup, you deserve this. Hecarim wanted to give this to you as thanks for saving his job." Sona stared at the electronic piano in her hands. She started to test it out, and it worked even though it was disconnected. It played beautifully. "I know it can't replace your old instrument that stupid jerk broke days ago, but I hope you like this one, since I see you enjoying playing the game."

"Jinx….I…LOVE IT!" Sona played the piano to express her happiness. "I've been aching so long to play an instrument." She went up and gave Jinx a hug. "I have to go inside and thank Hecarim for this."

"Don't worry, I expressed your thanks to him for you. Anyways, let's go back to the clock tower. I'm ready to hit the bed." Sona went up ahead to test out her newly acquired electronic piano. Jinx saw the huge smile Sona was showing.

"Why didn't you tell her it was from you?" said a close friend who hasn't spoken in a while. It was the ventriloquized rocket launcher, Fishbones.

"Because I didn't feel like it." Replied Jinx.

"Why not."

"Well…it's…ummm…because….well…."

"It's because you're embarrassed."

The realization from Fishbones silenced Jinx. Sona didn't see behind her, but only Fishbones was the only thing to witness the rarest face that Jinx was displaying. She was blushing.

"It's okay to be embarrassed. After all, this is your first friend. Let me give you one advice, baby steps."

"Just shut up, stupid Fishbones."

"Alrighty, I'll take to you later, crazy." Jinx was still blushing. After a minute, she composed herself and ran up next to Sona. "Now that you got an instrument. You can help me with my theme song. I was thinking of some lyrics, like 'I WANNA TRY SOMETHING FUN RIGHT NOW, I GUESS SOME PEOPLE CALL IT ANARCHY!' Jinx tried singing out.

"I'll try and make a score, but I'm going to need more lyrics."

"Don't worry, we got all the time to make my theme song." Then, both Jinx and Sona walked back to the clock tower, but unbeknownst to the two, a shadowy figure was staring at the two from above a building.

"Found you."
