Hey guys Dark Gothic Lolita here!
So it has actually been an awfully long time since I last updated this, hasn't it? It's because ever since my summer started, I got myself a summer job. Not only that, but my PC was a pain to use. And I was rarely ever on my PC, that's why I was replying late to a bunch of people who may have reviewed. I hate replying to reviews on my phone.
But I am here now and I guess I'm apologizing for the AGONIZINGLY long wait! Like, I'm really sorry you guys!
I am now in the most important year of my school life. It's the last year before I go off to university (or college) and I'm super scared. I just about got good grades to get into the year that I'm in now! ANYWAY, I was wondering if I should stop writing hen I go off to uni? Should I? Hahaha, tell me in a review or something!
It's unfortunate to say that I don't own Fairy Tail or their characters. I do own this story and plot line and the children that are to pop up in this chapter! I apologize for my useless spelling and use of grammar!
ENJOY!
The pairing project
Chapter 10
It was a lovely and warm summer's day and everyone was chattering away, excitement filling them up to the brim. They were waiting calmly and quietly, just the occasional whisper of a question here and there, not wanting to make a big scene out of anything.
But we all know that Fairy Tail and friends aren't like that at all.
Lucy was screaming at a lazy Gray who had decided to not even bother showing up in a suit when he knew damn well that he was Natsu's best man. It was like he was trying to ruin the wedding! But no. Ruining the wedding wasn't even on his agenda. It was just so damn hot!
"Just because you have the bow tie doesn't mean that you're still dressed for the occasion! You're ONLY IN YOUR UNDERWEAR!" Gray just shrugged off her nagging and proceeded to wipe out his ear with his baby finger. Natsu was yet to come out of the office with the priest, so he hadn't seen what Gray was wearing. If he did, he would have castrated him on the spot, using his fire to disintegrate what made him a man. Juvia was very picky and he wanted this to be special for her. If Natsu caught anyone fucking it up, there was going to be hell to pay.
"Don't worry Lucy, I got this." A hand fell on her shoulder and she looked up to see a smirking Lyon. Gray suddenly snapped up to attention and growled when he saw him. Lyon had taken a while to get over Juvia and soon found that he and Natsu were actually good friends. Well, especially when they were using Gray's weak points against him.
Lucy sighed, happy that someone might actually be able to sort him out. Yes, Lucy was one of the bridesmaids, but she had told Juvia that she will go on ahead and make sure that nothing was going wrong at the scene of where the wedding is to take place. It was a good job too. "Okay Lyon, go ahead."
"Don't even touch me you bastard," Gray hissed out at his 'older brother'. That made Lyon's smirk seem even more devilish now.
"When are you going to get out of this stripping habit huh? You look really pathetic. Plus, you're making all the girls feel sick because your body isn't even good enough for them to ogle at." Lucy's jaw dropped when he said those words. He was trying to start a fight, not help Gray into some clothes! Gray was going to retaliate when Lyon pulled something out of the bag. A bag that seemed to have appeared from nowhere that is.
"Now stick on this damn suit before Natsu sees you! No one cares if you're feeling hot! I would say that if I can do it, so can you, but we all know you can't. I'm better than you at everything so whatever I can do easily, you can do with great difficulty. You're too weak and you give into everything like a little push over."
Lucy thought it was a miracle that Gray hadn't even punched him yet, though he looked like he was damn well close to doing so! He gave him a strained smile. "Why thank you Lyon, I will never forget this. I owe you one."
"Damn right you do. I'll cash in on that favour soon enough. Bye."
He was gone as quickly as he came and Gray made a noise as though he were about to die or something. "I wanted to hit him so fucking much! FUCK he makes me so damn angry!" Lucy just sighed and ignored him as he started pulling on the items of clothing that had been given to him by Lyon. She turned her head to see Natsu arguing with Sting and Gajeel while Rogue just sat there, talking to Kagura who he seemed to be really buddy buddy from what she had been seeing.
Then Natsu's hand was set alight. Lucy's eyes almost popped right out of her head as she got the emergency bucket of water. Then she threw it at him, buket and all. The fire was extinguished and there was a shocked look now on Natsu's face. Lucy was panting heavily before she then gasped, realising what she had just done. "Uh oh."
Natsu dried himself off and Lucy could have never been happier. It would have been a bad day if she splashed him and he wasn't a fire mage or something. Then his glare was on her and she gave him a sheepish smile.
"What the FUCK was that for?!" He roared out at her. Happy was trying to calm him down but it was clear that that was failing. "This is NOT the day we started playing water fights! If we did, Juvia would keep us all in a water lock, just to see how much we love water! I do NOT want to go through with that!" Lucy noted that Macao and Wakaba were then arguing, almost hitting everyone else around them. Things were going to get out of hand, very, VERY badly. That was until she heard bell ring and everyone stopped what they were doing.
"THE BRIDE IS HERE!"
They all had to quickly make like they were sitting there like angels and Natsu took his place at the front with the priest, Gray taking his place as the best man, standing on the other side of Natsu. It took a while, but the doors were suddenly open and all the bridesmaids were making their way in, wearing sky blue dresses. They held red roses in their hands and Lucy went to go and join in with them as well.
Then in came Juvia, holding hands with the master. The old man had actually started crying when Juvia had asked if he would be happy to play the father role and lead her down the aisle. Surprisingly, Gajeel had been mad that he wasn't the one doing it seeing as they were practically siblings. Juvia had calmed him down saying that he was to do that with his own future daughter, making the iron dragon slayer blush and stutter where he stood. Even Levy had been smoking from her ears when she heard Juvia's words.
All in all, Makarov was over the moon to be even considered as a father figure to anyone in the guild. He soon decided that Juvia was his favourite. She didn't damage property and she had now proved to have a normal level head. She was a dream child, especially when she wasn't being a stalker or just plain creepy with her fantasies.
Natsu had almost choked on the air that he had breathed in when he saw his mate. She was the definition of beautiful. Her blue hair was up in a beehive style, held with diamond pins. Her pure white dress was made of silk and Juvia thanked kami because she was obviously bearing a child, her aunt flow wouldn't be visiting anytime soon. Her blue eyes were shimmering as everyone was silent, watching the bride walking in all her glory.
Finally, they made it to the front and Makarov released his hold on her and grabbed Natsu's hand so that they could both hold onto one another. The Fairy Tail master was trying his best not to cry and even Mavis who had shown up was blubbering in the bridesmaids seating area. It took every bit of Juvia to not do the same thing too.
While the priest was droning on about why they were all here today, Natsu turned his head to smile at Juvia, who then grinned back at him. They were both nervous and they could both sense it through their mate link.
"You look like a goddess. I still can't believe that I'm getting married to you." He squeezed her hand in reassurance and Juvia squeezed his hand back, blushing at his words. He always knew how to make her feel better.
"Well Natsu-kun better believe it because Natsu-kun is going to be staying with Juvia until death do us part." He wanted to kiss her there and then but he was going to save that kiss from when the priest told them that they could finally kiss. He grinned at her, the same Natsu like grin that she would constantly receive from him, hopefully until she takes her last breath.
"IGNEEL! DID YOU JUST SET MUMMY'S FLOWERS SLIGHT FOR THE THIRD THIS WEEK?!"
The boy of 12 called Igneel almost pooped himself when he heard his mother yelling at him. How the hell could she even see him if she was making dinner and he was around the corner of the garden where no one could see him unless they came around the corner?
"If Igneel is wondering how mummy knows about what he did, mummy can see the smoke that Igneel produced AND Igneel has his father's blood running through his veins! Igneel is BOUND to do something careless!" He flinched and scowled in anger and amazement. His mother was a hawk, knowing his every move before he even knew what he was going to do. There was a good reason why she was seen as the best spy in Fairy Tail and worked with his Uncle Gajeel on infiltrations.
"Igneel is sorry mum!"
Juvia smiled as she poured some ramen into some bowls. Her son might not have noticed it, but whenever he was genuinely sorry, he spoke like her which was in third person. She heard some giggling behind her and she turned to see that Igneel was now indoors, tickling the youngest member in the Dragneel household. Juvia grinned at the sight of her two sons and left Igneel's miso soup ramen in front of him. "Here you go! And you!" She turned to the baby sitting in the high chair and his mismatched eyes stared at her in wonder. His heterochromatic eyes of blue and dark black eyes were looking right into hers and she picked him up.
"Come here baby!" She hugged her baby close to her and ruffled Igneel's hair to show that she loved him too. "Igneel too!" The boy started groaning and tried to whack his mother's hand away from his head, giving her an exasperated eye roll.
"Mum! I'm 12 years old, I don't think I'm a baby anymore!"
"You're mummy's baby no matter what age you are!"
"I'M BAAAAAACK! AND I SMELL RAMEN!"
Igneel brightened up as he ran to go and see Natsu. Natsu had gone on a mission for the past week leaving Juvia behind with Igneel and Kasai. Kasai then started struggling in Juvia's arms, gurgling in happiness as he heard his father's voice. Natsu hugged Igneel with one arm and grabbed up Kasai in his other one. "Well, well, well! If it isn't my two little boys! You been good to your mum?" Juvia saw the glint in his eyes and hit his head which made him pout at her. "Juvia! What was that for?"
"Oh like Natsu doesn't know! Juvia knows that Natsu has been teaching Igneel fire dragon slayer magic-"
"Because he's a fire mage!"
"Don't sass or interrupt Juvia. Natsu hasn't taught Igneel the safety of his has he? No, that's what Juvia thought. Remember, we placed a bet with the guild that Igneel will be less destructive than Natsu-kun and so far, if we're not careful, we will be splitting jewels with everyone in the guild and Juvia wants to be taking their jewels! Don't mess up this bet for us! Just give it a few more days before Igneel's 13th birthday and THEN we can let him go off!"
Natsu and Igneel gulped at how fierce she was being and they both nodded their heads while Kasai just giggled and clapped his hands. Natsu set Igneel down and sat down in his seat before placing Kasai on his lap. Juvia smiled at her family as she looked down at her wedding band and her engagement ring. Natsu was excellent with the children and he was surprisingly good at teaching magic. She set out their ramen before giving Kasai his bottled milk.
"If Igneel is planning on eating fast, then he better get prepared for some choking." The boy flinched before slowing down. "Where is Sierra? Wasn't she coming with you?" The said girl jumped through the kitchen window, making a grand entrance as she landed in her seat with a splash of water that hit Igneel in the face, making him growl in anger and Kasai laugh once more. The girl who was aged ten had eyes shaped like Natsu's, but her eye colour was that of Juvia's. Her lilac hair was tied up in a ponytail as she wore a white skirt and a dark blue tank top.
"Here I am! Oooh, ramen, my favourite!"
"You idiot, aren't you going to apologize for what you did? What if I got your hair burnt if I wanted a grand entrance into the room? Now you've got water all over me!" Sierra just stuck out her tongue at her older brother which made him growl in anger and he ended up blasting a fireball her way. The girl squealed as she ducked down and it made a hole in the wall.
"JUVIA'S WALL! AGAIN!"
It was too late, no one heard Juvia cry as there was a sibling fight. Kasai just watched the wonders with his eyes as though it were a show going on. Natsu just calmly ate and fed Kasai his own baby food as Juvia just stared at her wall while downing some wine and fuming. This happened every single day.
"You almost killed me with that! Mine was just a little water!"
"Yeah and I could have drowned!"
"Are you stupid?! It was like splashing a glass of water in your face! How could you drown from that?!"
"You can if you're unfortunate!"
"Sierra will make sure that Igneel is that unfortunate!"
"And Igneel will hurt Sierra real bad then! Igneel is the older and stronger sibling!"
They had both slipped into their third person speech in a form of anger. They both screamed in anger before attacking each other, before and water falling about here and there. Juvia would use her hand to evaporate the water that fell and Natsu would move Kasai out of the way of any attack and ate any fire that came his way.
He then looked over at Juvia with a grin on his face and she grinned at him back. He handed Kasai over to Juvia before clapping his hands, sending a fire shockwave in the house, nullifying Igneel's magic and made Sierra's water evaporated. Both the siblings stopped attacking each other as they realised that their dad was now standing over them.
"Hey guys! It's my turn for punishment time. You're gonna run up a mountain and camp there overnight to make sure that your sibling bonding skills are up to scratch. That and survival time. If you wanna use your magic, try not to destroy the house so you gotta put that to good use and kill some animals to eat. Be lucky I'm giving you this punishment and not your mother."
They looked over at their mother who waved at them with an evil smirk on her face and Kasai waved at his two older siblings as well. Igneel sighed, just to get it over and done with.
"When do we set off?"
"After your mum and I find a good job to go on for the night."
Sierra and Igneel rolled their eyes. They knew what that meant. They were going on a one night holiday without them. That sucked so much.
"So hurry and up and finish your food, we're heading to the guild and if mummy sees you guys starting a fight or joining in with the guild brawl, mummy will make sure that you spend two weeks up there and help mummy train when you both get back."
They were soon enough slurping down their ramen and nodding their heads, understanding every bit of information. Why would they need to argue and anger their mother even more? It was a risky and stupid mood.
~x~
"Why are you guys looking so dead?"
A dark purple headed girl who was the same age as Sierra sat down on the table in front of the brother and sister. The tattoo over her eye was red in colour as her hazel eyes stared at them both looking like she was demanding an answer out of the both of them. She crossed her arms over her chest as she had a katana on her waist.
"Oh hey Cerise. We started fighting at home and now we're getting a punishment from our dad and our mum made sure that we don't fight here either." Sierra fiddled with her bracelet on her arm. She looked up to see that Cerise was blushing when she turned her gaze to Igneel who wasn't even paying attention to them as they spoke.
Sierra grabbed Cerise's hand as she pulled her to the table of girls which was only three. "Spill it, you're in love with my brother!"
The girl shook her head as her mother's sense of strength and her father's denial coursed through her veins. The daughter of Titania was not to be shown up like this! "Shut up! There's no way I can like an idiot like that! What if I liked...what if I liked Rose's twin brother, Metallo? Did you ever stop to think about that?"
"Well I saw the way you were blushing when you were looking at my brother AND you know that I like Metallo!" Sierra's hand flew to her mouth as she just revealed her crush for the Redfox boy and Rose's jaw dropped before she put on a disgusted face. She didn't really want to hear about anyone crushing on her brother.
"Well it's not even like you guys can act on your crush. We're only ten. Give it time, it might just fade away or something like that. Who knows, Igneel might like another girl. I mean it's just weird dating your little sister's friend isn't it? It might disgust him."
Cerise started crying out anime like tears as Rose's words cut right through her heart. It wasn't really a nice thing when one of your friend's had the personality of her hard like father who literally didn't give a shit about anything. This is why Sierra took a shining to Rose's brother. He was nice and calm and one might think that Gajeel thought his son was weak, but he was just as proud of him as he was of his older twin sister.
"Hmm, well I better train then! Doesn't your brother like strong girls, Sierra?" The girl was brought out of her thoughts when she realised that Cerise was asking her a question. She sweatdropped. Wasn't she just in tears like ten seconds ago? What the hell happened?
"I don't know what goes on his fire like head. I don't know what type of girls he's into because I never really asked. Kinda because I don't care." Wrong move. The girl's hazel eyes were glaring right into Sierra's blue ones and she shivered. "Okay, I'll get it out of him some time!"
"Hey Igneel, what's up?" Luke, son of Lucy and Gray was younger than Igneel by like a year. He was 11 turning 12 while Igneel was 12 turning 13 in a few days. He took a sip of his water, looking at his friend. The two of them seemed to get along great, despite the relationship between both of their fathers. If Igneel didn't get along well with anyone, it was Fulmine Dreyar, son of Laxus and Mira. They were always butting heads.
"Nothing, my dad's got me and Sierra on survival punishment this time around. I can't do anything to piss them off otherwise they might seriously make me spend my birthday in the mountains. He stuck his tongue out as they walked over to Fulmine and Metallo, who was reading a book, much like his mother always was.
"Sup Luke, loser."
Fulmine smirked and Igneel boiled up to the point where his fist was on fire, but he couldn't do anything about it. Fulmine was smarter than Igneel would like to admit and if he didn't fight back, he would know instantly that something was up and would taunt him to no end, trying to get him to fight. Plus, Igneel had his father's temper and patience. Patience as in it was practically non existent.
"Dipshit."
Fulmine glared in return. He was not a force to be reckoned with. His satan soul and lightning dragon slaying magic came to him like water to an ocean. It was there and a lot of it, though he didn't really know how to control it properly yet. That was the worst part of it. It got out of hand and it stung like a bitch.
"Can you hear what the girls are saying?"
Metallo's quiet voice sailed through the group as he didn't take his eyes off of the book he was reading once. He may not have gotten the iron dragon slayer magic like his sister did, but he still got the enhanced abilities so he wasn't that far off. No, Metallo got rune magic and was training under Freed to be as strong as him.
Fulmine and Igneel nodded their heads as Luke grumbled in anger because he didn't have any enhanced abilities. "They're talking about their crushes. Looks like Cerise's got Igneel, Sierra's got me and Rose hasn't said anything. She's smart. She obviously remembers that there are dragon slayers at this table."
He finally looked up and everyone froze at the sight of his right eye. It was red but where it was white was switching between white and black. Daisuke jumped out of his seat. "What the hell is going on with your eye?!"
"Testing out the dark ecriture magic that Freed-sensei uses. I'm not strong enough to unlock it's full potential but I'm close and it using just the one eye to activate it. Well Freed-sensei managed to make both of his eyes go dark." He stopped it before sweat started dripping down a little bit. It had taken quite a lot of magical energy out of him.
"So what are we gonna do about the girls then? And wait! Who do you think Rose likes out of me and Fulmine?"
"You."
The eldest of them all glared at Igneel as he answered straight away. Fulmine was actually born before Igneel, shocking the whole guild because no one actually knew that Mira and Laxus were together. He then decided to ignore Igneel and shift his attention to Luke. "Nope, she's gotta like me man."
"And what makes you so sure?"
"Because I'm way stronger than you'll ever be!"
"I'll ice make your dumb arse!"
"Nah, no magic, let's fight this out like REAL men!"
And that's how they got started. Metallo just sat there, engrossed in his book as he didn't pay attention to the boys who were knocking drinks over, trying to win love of a girl who might possibly not even like any one of them. Igneel had to look away from the fight because he so badly wanted to join in. He noticed Cerise staring at him and he sent a wink her way, making her blush deeply as she turned back to talk to his sister.
"Hey Igneel, get your sister and let's go. We have to stop off somewhere first."
Igneel instantly got it as he nodded at his mum and went to go and get his sister. "Hey Sierra, we need to go. Mum says we have to stop off somewhere." Sierra raised an eyebrow at that and shrugged her shoulders and said her goodbyes to her friend. The Dragneel family was now leaving behind what had turned into a guild brawl which wasn't pleasant. With the new kids in the guild, things got even more ugly.
Kasai had fallen asleep and Juvia pushed him along in his pram. They walked past their house and headed deeper into the forest. It was silent and Sierra still didn't understand what was going on but the atmosphere seemed to be too upsetting to even want to breathe. She reverted back to a little girl and held onto Natsu's hand. Natsu squeezed his daughter's hand.
"Why are we at the hag's house?"
"Don't let her hear you say that darling. We're going to visit someone you haven't seen in a while."
Porlyusica opened the door to the Dragneel family and she didn't grumble about the smell of humans. She had to deal with it just for them. "She's been doing well actually. It's finally time for her to go home."
"Mummy, daddy!"
A little girl with pink hair ran out of the room and jumped straight into Natsu's arms. The girl looked like she was about 7 or 8 and Juvia started crying. Sierra stared at the little girl and realised that this was obviously her sister. But why was she here? Why didn't she know about her?
"Thank you so much for looking after her all these years." Natsu held the little girl in his arms tightly to his body. His little girl was coming back today. They joined in the three way hug with Juvia before Igneel hugged his sister. They were finally all together again.
"Sierra honey, this is your little sister, Serena. You two haven't really met because Sierra was too young to understand." Serena smiled up at her big sister and Sierra couldn't help but smile back at her.
"Onee-chan!" She flew into her arms and Natsu held Juvia close to him as they smiled at the scene in front of them. Sierra hugged her as Serena started chuckling. Juvia and Natsu smiled at each other and Natsu hugged his wife closely to him.
"It's okay, she's home now."
Juvia's body had not been able to cope with her third pregnancy as the water was practically taking over her body and wanting to drown her baby. As it would turn out, Serena will have no magic supplies as Juvia's water had literally absorbed all of her daughter's magic by accident. Juvia had fallen into depression but she didn't want to abort her baby because she knew deep down that her child will survive. She was her father's daughter after all.
"Yes, she is."
"Mama, papa, the baby is so cute!" They looked down to see that Serena was on her tip toes trying to look at her younger brother. Her mouth was wide open as she looked at him in awe making her look so cute.
"His name is Kasai. He'll love you honey." Juvia kissed her head and she giggled, hugging her mum. Natsu lifted her up so that she could sit on his shoulders. It had been extremely risky for them to have another child, but they had managed to have faith that Kasai would be okay and he came out fine.
"This causes for a celebration!" Igneel thought that this would be a perfect time to try and get out of the punishment. Sierra grinned at him in encouragement as well. This way she will get to hang out with a sister she never really got to meet.
"Hell no."
Both Juvia and Natsu had replied, knowing what their children were planning. After all, they had been kids too and Natsu most definitely knew all the tricks in the book to try and get himself out of trouble. They both groaned but they knew it was fair. Serena grinned down at them before turning to face Porlyusica.
"Goodbye Grandma!"
The old woman smiled. Okay, so maybe she had become more soft due to the fact that she had been living with a human for the past seven years. Who knew that a child of Natsu would be so well behaved?
"Well you better get going you two."
Natsu shot them an evil smirk and they gulped before running. Serena laughed and Juvia smiled, watching them all. Finally, her family was complete.
I know, I know, it was really sad about the whole Serena thing and I was really debating on whether or not I should have added that part into it. I did it anyway lol, as you can see XD. But it was something different. Plus, I didn't want the whole cliche thing of all their children having either Natsu's or Juvia's magic. It was time for at LEAST one kid to not get any magic. I mean, does Wakaba's daughter have any magic? No!
But yes, this is the last chapter of the story my faithful Lolita lovers! It's been a really good run and I really enjoyed writing this story. I hope that you guys enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it! I am NOT going to be posting any new material as I feel like I've left too many stories hanging for too long. That doesn't mean that I'm not actually writing new material at the same time. It just means you won't see me posting all my new stuff.
A bit of trivia on this chapter. Igneel is named Igneel because of Natsu's father. It was Juvia who named him this, which shocked Natsu at the time. Sierra is named that because it's one of Juvia's moves. Plus she's a water mage which works out well. I named Serena that because it just sounded nice :D Kasai means fire in Japanese, but he's not just a fire mage. He's more of a steam/bomb mage. That's for when he grows up.
Fulmine means lightning in Italian and he's named after Laxus' magic. Cerise is a shade of red, after's Erza's surname. Metallo is after Gajeel's magic which is Italian for metal. He's not an iron dragon slayer as stated, but I didn't want him to be like Levy and have solid script. I decided to make him a rune user because of Levy's ability to crack down Freed's runes back when Laxus was a baddie XD Rose is just named that because it sounded nice and Luke is because of the male version of Lucy. Lucy is pregnant with a little girl who will be called Silvara, female version of Silver, in memory of Gray's dad.
I think that's it! Please don't forget to rate or hate, flames or floods! Lolita loves you guys so very much so please leave a review!
