They were parents. The pace and volume they'd set was something they'd perfected years ago when Madison was an only child. But they were old pros now.

"You're trying to be ... uh.. oh god.. so extra babe... just get it over with, old man."

Olivia spoke quickly and quietly against her husbands cheek, knowing exactly what would happen. Fitz halted his thrusts before leaning back and pulling out. The lust in his eyes could be read from a mile away and in an instant Olivia was flipped onto her stomach and Fitz entered her from behind.

His arm wrapped around her waist and lifted her so that she was on her knees. Fitz grabbed a hold of her hands and moved them so she was gripping the top of the headboard before his hands gripped her shoulders and found the perfect pace.

This was exactly what Olivia needed. She knew if she pretended to be annoyed by what he was doing, and called him old, that he would make her eat her words.

"I think.. I think you like extra Mrs. Grant. I think you like it a lot."

One of Fitz' hands left her shoulder and he leaned over her back and he now gave her short, quick thrusts as his hand worked over her clit swiftly, making her legs buckle.

"Shit! Baby ooooo... yes, yes yes."

"Do you love that Livvie? You love when I play with my pussy? Is this my pussy Olivia?"

"Yes.. it's your Fitz! It's all yours!"

Fitz felt the moment she fell apart and loved the way she contracted around him. Fitz grabbed her hands from the bed and brought her back against him, so she was sitting back on his thighs, allowing him to stay lodged deeply in her. Fitz could feel her folds dripping with her cum as she came down and caught her breath. The second she felt his hands on her breast Olivia brought her hands up behind her and found his face before turning her head and connecting their lips. She immediately sought his tongue as her hips began to grind and swerve on his dick. She rotated her hips a bit faster as she rose slightly away from him and rode him in a way she'd only done a few other times, earning delicious groans from his lips. Fitz tightened his grip on her breast letting Olivia know he was about to cum and the second he felt her wet pussy grind against him combined with her nails at the back of his head, he came hard.

"SHIT! Fitz, ouch!"

At the sound of her voice, Fitz immediately opened his eyes and realized his teeth were fully biting his wife's neck and in an instant, he released the patch of flesh he'd for sure bruised.

"Sorry Livvie," he painted, not really sounding sorry at all, but still leaving soft kisses on her pained flesh. "You shouldn't taste so good."

Olivia chuckled before removing his left hand from her waist and climbing off to finally face him.

"I don't know what I'm going to do with you Mr. Grant."

He leaned in and kissed her before she climbed off the bed.

"Hurry up, we need to make sure everything including us is clean. We barely have 10 minutes now." She whispered, cupping her hand between her legs and moving swiftly towards the bathroom.

As much as Fitz wanted to reply with a smart remark, he followed her command, cupping his own junk, making sure none of their mixed fluids got on the bed.

"The bed is fine, Livvie."

"Did you check?"

Fitz turned the shower on before glancing at his wife who was sitting on their commode, cleaning herself up.

"No, but I'm pretty sure it's all on me. Just give me a few seconds to rinse off."

Olivia laughed at his response before washing her hands and moving to check their sheets. When she was satisfied with their dryness, she slipped on one of Fitz's t-shirts and a pair of underwear and pajama shorts before climbing into bed. When Fitz climbed in behind her minutes later, Olivia moved so that her back was pressed against his chest before his arms held her tightly.

"Remember when we could just stay naked for hours after having sex?" Fitz spoke against her ear.

"Umm no!" She laughed and turned her head to eye him for a few seconds. "Maybe you're thinking of someone else."

"Not possible, Livvie. Twelve years later and I still only want you and your body."

Olivia mulled over his words. It still amazed her that she had been married for eleven of those twelve years.

"Every time you say that, it makes me feel old."

Olivia turned around fully and snuggled into his chest before glancing up at Fitz.

"Twelve years is a long time, Livvie."

"It seems like a lifetime." She marveled at her husband, moving his strands of graying hair from his forehead. She swore his hair was getting thicker and had yet to thin out. She was still the one that reminded him to make an appointment to get it cut when he'd let the curls become unruly.

"Did you ever think we'd be here?" She finally asked, meeting his soft eyes.

"What? Having whisper sex so we don't wake the kids?"

"Having whisper sex and erasing all evidence of what we did because we know what's going to happen in the next few seconds."

A soft groan escaped Fitz's mouth and he shook his head.

"Unfortunately yes."

Olivia grinned and leaned forward to capture his lips in a soft kiss.

"But it's cute."

"It's cute to you, Livvie." He corrected.

"It's cute period. You know you love it too, you just won't admit it."

Before Fitz could respond, the sound of their door knob turning made them put a bit of space in between them and they both waited for their nightly intruder to show themselves.

"Sissy said no, Daddy."

They both stayed quiet, but the little one persisted.

"Mommy? I want you." The child said, trying another tactic.

"Go get back in your bed. Mommy's sleeping."

Olivia pinched Fitz's side before sitting up and holding out an arm to the little one at the door.

"Come here baby."

That was the invitation he was waiting for and seconds later, Aiden James, lovingly called AJ, was snug between his parents, just the way he liked it.

"Hi Daddy."

AJ turned and snuggled his back into Olivia's chest before looking at his daddy. There was no mama's or daddy's boy when it came to AJ. He adored both of his parents equally, but most times found himself extremely attached to his big sister Madison. He was pretty fascinated by her.

"Did Maddie kick you out of her bed?" Fitz asked him, running a gentle hand over his short curls.

He was the only child of theirs that pretty much hated their curly hair. They had never cut their kids hair early unless it was for a trim or when FJ's hair became too hot for him during the summer months, but Aiden absolutely hated getting his hair done. It only took Fitz a day to convince Olivia that it wasn't fair to make him sit through an hour of detangling and conditioning since he was a boy and that he needed to get a haircut. Olivia caved realizing how right her husband was and no matter how much she wanted another little boy with gorgeous long curls, her little man was his own person and wasn't having it.

"Yes. I don't wike her no more." He muttered defiantly as he yawned. He was their laziest, easy going child and all he needed was a good cuddle to fall back asleep, but sometimes Madison didn't feel like sharing her bed with her little brother and they would never fault her for that.

"You don't mean that. Sissy is just sleepy and wants her own bed tonight."

"Sooter in Sissy bed."

That was basically a tattle. Scooter wasn't allowed on the furniture in the home but their aging dog was accustomed to sleeping with his beloved Madison no matter what. He curled up at her feet each night and they'd been comforting each other to sleep for years now.

"Scooter is allowed to sleep in Sissy's bed."

"Ah'wowed?"

Fitz laughed before flipping the boy onto his stomach and rubbing his back in large circles.

"Yes allowed. Like you are allowed to stay in the big bed with us only if you go to sleep right now."

The soothing rubs did him in every time. Olivia smiled as Aiden stared up at her with wide set, grey eyes, having got the best of both parents. He never responded to his father's words and it only took a few minutes before his blinking eyes remained closed.

Olivia leaned in and kissed his head, then leaned closer until her lips connected with Fitz's in a soft kiss.

"Goodnight."

When Olivia eased out from beneath her two boys the next morning, she made her rounds to each of the kids rooms to see if they were awake. She first peeked into FJ's room and rolled her eyes at the granola bar wrapping she noticed on his nightstand.

"FJ, go throw your trash away. Eat in your room again and I won't buy anymore."

The skinny boy groaned before blinding reaching for the wrapper and making his way towards the door. Olivia put her hand up to stop him from passing her before turning her head to the side expectantly. When Elijah noticed what she was doing, he leaned up on the tips of his toes and kissed her cheek, telling her good morning. The poor kid got his mother's height and she loved that he hadn't begun to tower over her just yet. Elijah was quick to throw the trash away and Olivia let him know that she would be making breakfast soon when he passed her on the way back to his room. He did the same thing most Saturdays. Before either of his parents could get up and decide to make breakfast or let the kids fend for themselves with cereal, Elijah would need something to hold him over until he could be really fed. He was still such a foodie.

Next, Olivia looked into the girl's shared bedroom and chuckled at the difference in both sides of the room. Madison wasn't extremely messy by any means, but their sweet Camryn had a touch of OCD and was their neatest child. Madison had been a little apprehensive when they decided to let the girls share rooms when they found out Olivia was pregnant again, but the transition went smoothly. Madison still adored her little sister and Camryn hung on every word her big sister said. They had their moments, but both Olivia and Fitz felt very blessed that their daughter's loved each other so deeply. Before Olivia could close the door fully, she heard her eldest calling out for her.

"What's wrong, Mads?"

Olivia noticed the strain in her voice and moved closer until she was sitting on the edge of the bed, next to where she was laying.

"Can I have some medicine? My stomach's hurting really bad this time."

"Did you start your period this month? Is it early?"

She nodded her head slowly, wanting her mother's sympathy more than ever. This was still fairly new to her and she hated it.

"It's only a day earlier than last month."

"Why didn't you tell me? I would've made sure you were set up before I went out with Abby yesterday. Did you tell Dad?"

"Moommm" she drug out her name before rolling her eyes and pouting. "It only started yesterday once you left. And you know how dad gets now, he would've asked me what I wanted the medicine for, which I get." Madison added when she noticed her mother was going to interrupt to say her father has the right to know what she wanted medicine for. "But then he would've made a big fuss about it and made it weird like he always does."

Olivia laughed quietly, mindful of Camryn that was still asleep. Her husband was quite dramatic when it came to Madison growing up in this way. She'd only started menstruating since the end of last year and it took months for Madison to not be afraid of leaving her room, let alone the house when it came. Fitz tried his best to make it easy for his little girl, making sure she was comfortable, even making Elijah become somewhat of a servant of sorts to her during the first twenty-four hours. It wasn't until Fitz and Olivia decided to have the grown up sex talk with Madison that things got weird. They'd set her down and were one-hundred percent honest with her about what her having a cycle or a period actually meant. That's when things started getting awkward. Madison began asking questions and putting two and two together, realizing that her parents still had sex and the conversation was over.

"Your dad just wants to make sure you're comfortable, so don't give him a hard time when he tries. Be nice. Do you have enough of everything? Come eat some breakfast and I'll get you some medicine. And I noticed you're not wearing your retainer either."

She groaned while sliding out of the bed and grabbed her fluffy pink robe to slip on before padding down the hall after Olivia. "I passed out before I could put it in last night, Mom."

Madison went to the cabinet and grabbed all the things she needed for making a bowl of cereal and sat down at the table to eat.

"Can I try using tampons again?"

"I thought you hated them? Why do you want to try them again?"

"Cause I hate feeling like I'm wearing a diaper and I still wanna hang out with Jenna today and go to the movie tonight with everyone."

"And you can't do that wearing a pad?"

"Mom, you can basically see the outline of it through my clothes. I can always tell when my friends are wearing them." Madison spoke completely embarrassed for her friends.

"That's because they wear skin tight clothes, which you aren't allowed to do, so that shouldn't be a problem. Either way you know how I feel about them, and your doctor has talked to you about them as well. I will give you a few that I have if you want, but change them the way you're supposed to. I'm not kidding."

"I know, I know I won't."

When she was halfway done with her cereal, Olivia handed her an Aleve.

"Drink it with water."

Once Madison was finished, Olivia went to the fridge and started taking out the ingredients to make pancakes and eggs.

"What are you and Jenna up to today? Are you going to be at her house and who's all going to the movies, which movie, and who's taking you and bringing you home?"

"I'm walking to her house, and we were going to see if her mom can take us to the mall if you say yes. Jenna is getting a second hole in her ear today and wanted me to come with her. Jessica's mom is getting us from Jenna's and taking us to the movies then bringing us home."

"Movie?"

"It's the new Emma Stone movie that has all those flashbacks. It starts at six-forty-five and it's barely an hour and a half."

"Then she's bringing you straight home?"

"Yes. She said she'll call you today to get the okay from you that I could go before she picks us up."

"Alright, that sounds fine with me. Do you have money from your allowance?"

"I do but I really wanted to keep saving for a new phone so I'm gonna ask Dad."

"Why won't you just ask me?" Olivia asked with a knowing smirk?

"Because I'm smart and know who loves me more."

Olivia smirk at her comment before she heard someone dragging their feet on their way into the kitchen. There was only one person that typically did that and she waited as her youngest daughter turned the corner and made a beeline for her. Her thin arms wrapped around Olivia's waist and she hugged her tightly, mumbling a 'good morning' into her side. Olivia moved her fingers through her unruly curls and asked softly if she slept well.

"Yes, is Daddy still sleeping?"

"Yea, him and AJ are passed out in our bed. Give them a few more minutes before you go jump on him, okay? You want cereal or are you gonna wait for pancakes and eggs?"

"I'll wait. Can I drink some chocolate milk now?"

"Wait to have it with your breakfast please. You can go take your vitamins now, then go wash your face please."

Camryn nodded before washing her hands and drying them. Olivia watched as she pulled out a napkin and dumped a handful of the gummies out and searched for two yellow ones to eat, before putting them all back inside. Before leaving the kitchen, she grabbed her bottle of water, rinsed it out then grabbed a bottle of water and poured it inside before closing the lid.

"Now the water's fresh for you." Madison teased from her seat.

"Madison, cut it." Olivia warned. Her two older children loved to pick with Camryn about her strange tendencies, but they always nipped it in the bud when they were aware of it.

Camryn stuck out her tongue at Madison before going back down the hall and into their shared bathroom. Her outfit was already hanging in her closet along with her matching hair ties that she planned to wear it with for her special day. She was going to a birthday party with her Aunt Abby and cousin Kelsey but she was anxious about the entire situation. She sat on her bed and went through the scenarios in her head over and over until she was snapped out of her own world by her mother's interrupting voice.

"Camryn, look at me baby girl. Whats going on?"

"I'm not sure I should go to the birthday party today."

"Why not?"

Olivia had already finished cooking and they were waiting for Camryn to come out. When Aiden told her that "sissy was looking funny" Olivia knew that meant she was panicking about something and deep in her head trying to figure it out. It was something they'd spoken to her doctors about. There were a few techniques that worked with her OCD and semi panic attacks that she had when she spent too much time wanting to perfect something. It was also the reason they fought to only have half of her schedule focused on the talented and gifted classes. She tested phenomenally for the program, but the pressure was too much on her daughter and they had put their foot down. She was able to choose math and reading for her advanced classes, but her other subjects were done in her normal classroom with her friends.

"Jessica is gonna be there and she calls me her best friend all the time, but Kelsey is coming too and she's really my best friend too. What if they both call me their best friend today and make me choose? Or they want me to play with them and I have to choose?"

Olivia sighed, hating that her daughter was over thinking something so trivial, but she also understood that as a seven year old, this was major and her daughter would mull over it until she was blue in the face. She dint want to hurt either of her friends. Olivia moved to sit against the headboard of her bed and pulled the little girl in between her legs and held her. She wanted her to calm down and knew the pressure of the hug would provide the calming effect that she needed.

"So tell me about Kelsey, who's her mom?"

Camryn turned her head to look at her mother as though she'd grown two heads. It was at that moment, Fitz showed up at the door and backed away slowly the second he saw the position they were sitting in. He winked at his wife, knowing that she was using her "mommy super powers" to calm their child down, and he would make sure the others were eating breakfast and couldn't interrupt.

"Just answer me okay"?

Camryn nodded her head before settling back against her chest and answering her. "Auntie Abby is her mom."

"That's right, so what does that make Kelsey to you?"

"She's my cousin."

"That's right. Kelsey is your cousin, and guess what? Even if she wasn't your cousin you can have more than two best friends sweetie."

"I can?"

"Yes you can. It doesn't mean that you like anyone differently. Kelsey and Jessica can both be your best friend and it's nothing wrong with it."

"What if they don't know that?"

"Then I guess you can tell them that. But I want you to promise me something, okay?"

"What?"

"Don't ever feel pressured into being someone's friend. Especially if you don't believe in what they're doing. If Jessica doesn't want you to be best friends with Kelsey, you can let her know how you feel and see if she understands it. She might not and that's okay too. But just stay true to yourself and don't change for anyone. You are a very special girl Cam."

"Some kids say I'm weird and Kelsey makes them stop."

"I know she does because she knows it's not true. You're amazing and she knows that, so you be best friends with who you want to be and if someone doesn't like it, then that's their problem. You get to choose your friends."

"Did you choose Auntie to be your best friend?"

"Yea, we kinda chose each other. Kinda how you and Kelsey chose each other. You're family and you're friends and that's important."

"Is Uncle Harrison your best friend too?"

Olivia chuckled at her daughter's words.

"He kinda is. But his wife, your Aunt Lanell? She's become one of my best friends. Best friends are people that are there for you when you need them, they love you, respect you and don't make you change but grow with you as you try to get better at things and be a better person. They also let you know when you're wrong sometimes and they only want what's best for you."

Camryn nodded her head before turning around and wrapping her arms around her Mommy's neck. No matter what she went through at her young age, most she didn't understand, her Mom and Dad were always there for her.

"Then you're my best friend, Mommy. Is that okay?"

Olivia hugged her little girl back just as tightly, doing her best to not cry at her words. She would always be her most sensitive child, one that was always in tune with what others were going through and thinking. She was such a little miracle in more ways than one, letting both Olivia and Fitz realize that each of their child brought a new gift into their lives.

"That's most definitely okay baby girl."

Everyone turned their head when the front door opened and shut swiftly.

"Sissy home!" Aiden was the first to jump up and run towards his big sister. He jumped into her arms, making her carry him over to where he was previously sitting in the living room with everyone else.

Olivia and Fitz glanced at one another, noticing the look on their daughter's face. It was one they hadn't seen before.

"How was the movie?" Olivia asked, taking in her odd demeanor.

"What movie did you see? When can I go see movies with my friends?" Elijah looked up from the iPad in his lap and questioned Madison, then his parents before she could respond.

"When you're older."

Fitz spoke from his place on the floor in front of the coffee table. Camryn was in his lap and the two of them had an intense game of connect four going on.

"What about me, Dad? When can I go to the movies with my friends?" Camryn asked, looking at him upside down.

Fitz kissed her nose before tickling her sides. "When you can beat me at this game without cheating, young lady!"

"I'm not cheating you're just moving too slow. It's cause you're old."

"Oh now you're gonna get it!" Fitz warned before completely covering her torso with his hands and tickling her mercilessly.

Aden wiggled out of Madison's arms until she placed him onto his two feet and he immediately scurried toward Fitz and pounced.

"Help us FJ!"

Olivia laughed as her eldest son only laughed, and continued playing on his iPad, his attention averted. Glancing to her left, Olivia watched as Madison reached for her phone. She stared at it for a few seconds before a blush immediately rose upon her cheeks and she left the living room.

"Babe, can you start putting the munchkins down?"

"She means them, not me! I don't have to go to sleep for another hour since it's the weekend." Elijah said without looking up from his device. He wasn't about to go down early without a fight.

"Yea yea, but you only get fifteen more minutes on that. You hear me?"

He continued playing his game, not realizing his mother was speaking to him until his father's voice caught his attention.

"FJ. Did you hear your mother? You only have fifteen minutes left."

Elijah looked up immediately hearing his father's authoritative voice, then to his mother who was standing at the beginning of the hallway with raised eyebrows.

"Yes ma'am. Only fifteen more minutes. Then can I finish watching Myth Busters with Dad until bed?"

"Sure you can watch your nerd show with your nerd father."

"Oh Mrs. Grant you're gonna pay for that later."

Aiden laughed at his father's words and was scooped up under Fitz's right arm, as Camryn was swung over his left shoulder.

"Don't hurt yourself old man."

Olivia walked down the hallway and found Madison sitting on the office floor with her back leaned against the large oak desk. It was one of her go to places for privacy especially when the littles were being put down and Camryn was going to sleep.

"Hey, you never said how tonight went."

Madison looked up at her mother's voice and knew she wouldn't be able to just brush her off. Olivia knew Madison almost too well, just as her father did and she wouldn't be able to keep what happened tonight from her. She just hoped she didn't tell her dad.

"It was fun. I really liked the movie."

"But that's not what has you smiling at your phone. Can you tell me what really happened that has you blushing?"

"You won't tell dad will you?"

Olivia shook her head before sliding her back against the desk and sitting next to Madison.

"You know the rules. I don't keep secrets from your dad. Period. Not when it comes to you guys unless it's not a secret and it's something he just doesn't need to know, but that usually isn't the case."

"But mom, it's guy stuff and he always freaks out if he even thinks I like a guy. He's gonna go ballistic at just the thought."

"Well now you've got me curious and worried. Talk."

"Moooommm" Madison whined covering her face.

"Madison Olivia just spit it out, or I'll go tell him you're hiding something."

That threat was all she needed.

"Lin wants to hang out with me tomorrow." She rushed the words out and looked at Olivia's confused face.

"Lin? Like Lennox? How are you hanging with him tomorrow? I spoke to Lily and they're not back until the fall."

Madison's eyes grew larger than Olivia had ever seen.

"What do you mean? Are they moving back?"

Olivia smiled at her daughter and felt her heart warm. If she somehow got in touch with Lin but didn't know he would be moving back, that meant he wanted to tell her himself.

"Let's start over. You guys were dropped at the movies by Ashley's mom, then what?"

"Well we still had like twenty minutes before the movie started to get popcorn and drinks, and Lin's cousin Asher was there and said he was coming tomorrow for the summer and he had asked about me..."

"Ooooo" Olivia said, letting her voice go up and down.

"Mom really? This is already embarrassing enough."

"When did talking to me about boys become embarrassing? We always joke about the guys that have crushes on you..." Olivia stopped before it suddenly hit her. It was embarrassing because the feeling was actually mutual this time. "Alright I'm listening."

"Asher said he was spending the rest of the summer here and I didn't believe him so he called him and I got to talk to him myself."

"And?"

Madison looked at Olivia and willed for the blush to not come back. She could literally feel the heat on her cheeks just thinking about talking to him again. Sure there had been boys that liked her and flirted with her but she'd never really found someone that wasn't a celebrity that she actually liked. But Lin? He'd been her best friend for as long as she could remember and she hated when he moved away years ago. The only time she got to see him is when they visited for the summer and last summer he hadn't come. Lin had a Facebook but she really wasn't that into it and chose her phone over the social media account when given the choice. They'd barely kept in touch during the school year but she was able to somewhat keep in touch with him during the summer months when he visited.

But still. It was Lin.

"He gave me his number and we texted during most of the movie. They get in tomorrow morning and he already asked his mom if he could come see me and she said yea. Is it okay if we hang out tomorrow? Please mom?"

"Let me talk to your dad."

"You know he's gonna say no. He's never liked him! Even when we were kids, he'd basically bully him."

Olivia grimaced wondering how far back she was actually remembering. Fitz really couldn't stand the kid simply because of the bond he had with their daughter.

"I know your dad is a bit..." she mulled over her thoughts for a second, not wanting to say the first thing that came to mind. "... stubborn when it comes to you growing up but you gotta give him a break. Just let me talk to him."

"Please work your magic Mom! This is important to me."

"I know it is baby and I'm excited for you. Relax. You're already stressing out. Just get some rest tonight and I'll handle your father."

"Thanks so much Mom!"

Madison reached out to wrap her arms around Olivia's neck before she left the office.

Olivia waited until she was gone before she silently clapped her hands and released a loud squeal.

"Oh god, I can't believe this is happening!"

Olivia stood in their bathroom where she took a few extra seconds to rinse her mouth. She moved around a bit, trying to catch his reflection in their mirror but when she had no luck, she wondered when it would be safe to come out. Olivia knew that wasn't fair but her husband always resorted back to a teenager anytime he was in her mouth and he was putty in her hands. Deciding to be brave, she walked out and did her best to start a conversation.

"Fitz."

"Olivia"

Fitz deadpanned back before tossing the last of the throw pillows from their bed to the floor. He sent her an extremely menacing look that made her grimace and start apologizing.

"I'm sorry baby, but you..."

"No. You can't talk your way out of this one. You KNEW I would say yes that way and you know how I feel about this."

"She's fifteen Fitz, that's not.."

"EXACTLY OLIVIA! 15! You think ..."

He stopped speaking abruptly when she was all of a sudden in his face and placed her hand on his mouth to stop him.

The second he realized what she was doing he felt guilty. They argued respectively always, but when either of them were reaching a point that was borderline disrespectful, the other was quick to stop it before the kids could hear. They decided long ago that they wanted their children to see them argue and disagree as long as it was respectfully because confrontation, communication and compromise was something they wanted to instill in them. But when the yelling reached certain heights and harsh words had the possibility of coming out, they took it to the closet. Their master bedroom closet was like a dungeon and it was the most private place in the house and they were practically free to be as loud as they wanted.

Fitz made a beeline for the closet, making Olivia's hand fall from his lips and she followed just as quickly.

"Before you start let me say I know the point of the closet is to be as loud as we want, but I'm letting you know that it wouldn't be in your best interests to start yelling at me."

"I don't yell at you Olivia. I might yell to you but I don't yell at you."

"Oh okay." She spoke sarcastically and took a seat on the bench that separated their sides of the closet.

"Liv. I'm not gonna yell. Just hear me out, then I'll hear you out. Deal?"

She nodded once, letting him know that she agreed.

"She's wanting to go on a date and we've had this discussion before. I'm not going to lay down rules.. " he stopped at the look she sent him before he backtracked. "Fine, WE aren't going to lay down rules and expectations and then go back on them. If we start now with her, it's just gonna get worse with every rule. It's not happening until she's sixteen and we need to approve of whoever it is."

"Are you done?"

When he nodded, she stared at him for a few seconds before she began.

"One, we know who the boy is and I'd approve of him over any guy she could think of bringing home and if you'd stop being stubborn, you'd admit it. Two, you've been known to bend nearly every rule we've made simply because it worked out fine and our kids weren't ruined nor did they end up on the news. Three, Madison will be sixteen in two months so you can't use that excuse."

"Yea but is she sixteen tomorrow? Okay then."

"Fitz, the overprotective dad thing is sexy, but this has to stop."

Olivia sighed before reaching for his hand and pulling him down next to her.

"I refuse to let this be something we fight over. We raised a damn good kid and she's open with us and honest with us about pretty much everything. She gives us every reason to trust her so we have to. She actually talks to you, to us. I don't want her to pull away from you because she thinks you don't trust her."

"I do trust her I just don't trust teenage boys, especially when it comes to her. She's such a great girl, Liv. She's brilliant, funny, kind, brave, and that's just on the inside. Madison is the most beautiful girl in the world."

"Your poor Cam-Cam" Olivia snorted, gently jabbing her elbow into his side.

"They both are. You know what I mean. Boys see her and instantly want to be with her, but do they want to actually know her?"

"This boy does. And I know not every boy will but you kinda gotta get over it baby. She's growing up on us. I don't like it either but I have to trust her and let her make mistakes and just guide her as she needs it."

"And if she doesn't realize she needs it?"

"Then we step in of course. But she has to have that chance Fitz. She could've told us she was hanging with Jenna again tomorrow at the mall and met up with him and we wouldn't have a clue but she comes to us with this stuff and if we want her to keep doing that, we have to respect her and take it one step at a time. We can't make her think we don't trust her with this. We trust her to watch her siblings for a few hours and give her that type of responsibility, so we have to keep that up."

Fitz nodded knowing that she was completely right. He grabbed a hold of her hand before bringing it up towards his lips and kissing it.

"I just never want to see her get hurt. It'll kill me to see her crying because some boy made her feel like she wasn't good enough."

"I'm not ready for that either. But it'll happen."

She pressed her fingers at the base of his neck, instantly easing the tension there and watching him physically relax. She could tell he had fought back tears and wanted him to bring himself out of that type of funk.

"When it does, maybe I should comfort her and you take care of the asshole that's responsible? I mean I've seen your claws and it'll more than suffice. Plus I don't wanna go to jail."

Olivia laughed at his words before gripping at a chunk of his hair.

"Trust me, Mama Bear is ready to charge at any given moment. You've been on the receiving end of that quite a few times haven't you?" She asked coyly not caring that she's bitten his head off more than she can count when it came to the kids.

"I kinda like seeing Mama Bear come out though." Fitz spoke huskily, leaning his head against hers.

Olivia smiled at the tone of his voice, realizing their closet time had drifted to the other end of the spectrum.

"Mama Bear doesn't like to come out, especially when it's against Papa Bear." She spoke quietly, rubbing her nose against his, feeling him slide her into his lap.

"I think I like when she comes out though. Mama Bear kinda gets me going."

Olivia felt Fitz's hands slip under her shirt and unclasp her bra.

"You have to be quick, I doubt if Mads will let him stay in her room tonight."

"Stop talking" Fitz breathed before yanking the shirt from her body and slipping her bra off. He kissed in between both of her breast before showing lavish attention to them each. "Still so perky."

Olivia bit her lip, doing her best to maneuver her hands into Fitz's pants. He lifted her from his lap brought his lips to her stomach as he yanked her pants down. Olivia began stepping out of her pants and underwear as Fitz lifted his hips and moved his pants down just enough to free his dick. She was straddling his lap again and grabbed a hold of him. Olivia stroked him thoroughly, his head falling back in complete pleasure at the feel of her delicate hands squeezing him.

"Put me in, Livvie." His voice was hoarse and stressed as Fitz tried his best to not come from the work she was doing on him.

Wanting to feel him inside of her as much as he did, Olivia obeyed and used his shoulder for leverage before sinking down on him until her ass rested on his thighs. Olivia let out something between a scream and a moan at his first thrust and they were once again grateful for their closet.

The following evening, Fitz waited on the back porch tense. The swing faced the backyard if you sat on it normally, but he made sure he was sideways. He was determined to not only hear when his daughter was dropped off, but he wanted to be able to see her face when she walked in. Fitz wasn't sure how Olivia talked him into letting her stay with the boy an extra hour but it happened. It had never taken him an hour to eat frozen yogurt but he wouldn't argue with her. Olivia was already in bed, claiming to be drained and trusting him to be on his best behavior when Madison got home.

It was minutes later that he heard the car pull up and the sound of two doors closing. Fitz listened as the footsteps sounded against the pavement before faint whispers could be heard and the front door opened and closed.

Fitz breathed a sigh of relief, happy he didn't hear anything that sounded like kissing. It was easy to get Madison's attention when she walked away from locking the door and she smiled shyly before sliding open the door and closing it behind her.

"Did you and Mom wait up for me? It's not like I was on a date, Dad. I know it's not allowed."

She was smirking at Fitz knowing good and well she was picking on him and he was probably two seconds away from losing it.

"You've got your mother's humor I see. And I waited up for you but your mom is knocked out already."

"It's barely nine. I guess she's finally getting old." She laughed, leaning back against the door frame.

"Don't let her hear you say that. So how did it go? Did you have fun? Was he nice and respectful?"

Madison looked at Fitz's worried eyes and could see the fear they carried. He always told her that he never wanted her to grow up but she thought that was something all parents just said.

"It was fun. You don't have to worry so much, Dad. You're gonna give yourself like a heart attack or something." Madison sat next to him and lifted his arm up until she was able to snuggle into his side like she did was she was little. It wasn't that it was a rare occurrence now. She often found herself upset about one thing or another seeking comfort in her father's embrace and when she could tell he needed it, she indulged him in a cuddle.

Fitz sighed before leaning down and planting a kiss on her forehead. He really did miss his little girl. In his mind these moments were too far and in between

"I've been worrying about you since the first day I laid eyes on you, kid."

"Really? The first day, Dad?"

"Yes the first day, kid. You were sitting in your moms lap eating goldfish..."

Madison chuckled, glancing up at her father's blissful face. "Still my favorite snack."

"I know. I'm surprised you haven't turned into a little orange fish." He moved a few curls behind her ear before he continued. "It was at the hospital and you were hurt, well recovering and waiting for a clean bill of health but you had been hurt. So I remembered your mom had to tell me what happened because I needed to make sure her story didn't change..."

"How old was I?"

Fitz mulled over the question for a few seconds before finally answering, "You had just turned two."

"Did it have to do with Jake?" Madison interrupted.

"Yea, he was the reason. But after the exam and figuring out that your wrist was fine you had passed out and your mom broke down and just held you and kissed you and it broke my heart."

Madison was quiet for a few minutes before she was absentmindedly playing with the watch on Fitz's wrist.

"Did he make me and Mom cry a lot?"

Fitz didn't answer her right away. As she got older he and Olivia had many conversations with Madison about the past and tried to always answer as many questions as they could. She often came to them with new questions but it was always at random.

"He did."

"Did he ever make you cry?"

"I'm not sure if I cried but it broke my heart to see you hurting and sad. I knew I wanted to make things better for both of you and I wanted to be your family."

"And we were always close right? Me and mom wanted to be a part of your family? I don't think I really remember a time that I didn't know you."

"I can barely remember a time that you weren't mine."

Fitz squeezed her against him a little tighter before leaving another kiss on her head.

"I've been calling you Dad for like ever now."

"Yea but it took some getting used to for you." He said in a half chuckle.

"Yea but it took some getting used to for you." He said in a half chuckle.

"Nu-uhn" Madison disagreed sitting up and facing her father. "It's never felt weird to call you that. That's how I know I've been calling you that for forever."

"That's not what I said, you goof. I'm saying you would call me 'daddy' when it just came out. You were the one that asked if you could call me Daddy, but we didn't want to make it weird for you nor pressure you to get it right every single time. So whatever came out is what you called me. So I was both Fence and Daddy for a long time which I loved."

"You liked being called Fence?"

Fitz smiled down at her and for just a second he flashed back to the first day they'd ever sat on this swing together eating donuts.

"I loved being called Fence. It was the first thing you ever called me and it'll always be special to me."

"When did you officially adopt me?"

"Well your mom and I had planned it for a while and sent the paperwork in but it wasn't official until my birthday."

"Your birthday?"

"Yep. Abby had finally gotten everything finalized and brought the papers late that night so your mom could give them to me as a birthday gift. Best gift I've ever received."

"Fenceā€¦.I think I remember that."

"Wanna know a secret?"

"If it's a good one!" She sat up and waited patiently for him to reveal his secret.

"I'd take the name Fence over Daddy any day from you."

Madison watched the smile on his face but had to roll her eyes at the 'secret' he felt was worthy of being revealed.

"You're such a sap Dad."

"So I'm told. Let's get you to bed, Mads." He winked at her, knowing it was a name she only allowed him to call her nowadays.

Madison stood up before reaching out and helping Fitz up from the swing. They walked inside and she began walking directly into her room while Fitz went through the house and made sure everything was locked up. Once the last few lights were shut off, Fitz made his way into his bedroom.

It was nearly ten minutes later when the small knock on the master bedroom door made Fitz open his eyes. When he heard the door creak he waited for Aiden to climb onto the bed, but was instead called by a different voice.

"Dad?"

Hearing Madison's voice made Fitz release the hold he had on Olivia and turn to face her.

"What's wrong? I thought you went to bed?"

Madison sat on the edge of the bed and before he knew it, her arms were wrapped around his neck and she was hugging him tightly.

"Thanks for being worried about me that day."

Fitz hugged her back, knowing it wasn't words she needed him to respond with. She needed a reassuring touch.

"And I'm really glad you're my dad."

"So am I."

Fitz rubbed her back, then leaned back to look at her. He could see the tears welled up in her eyes but the smile on her face told him that she was okay.

"Do you think we could celebrate your birthday and my adoption this year?"

"You mean the day it was finalized?"

"Yea. I looked it up and people do it all the time. They call it a 'Gotcha' day."

"I think that'd be a great idea."

"Can it just be me, you and Mom?"

Fitz stared at his daughter, his fifteen year old, wishing time would simply stop and gift him with longer days. He wanted to savior every waking moment being present in their day to day lives, soaking it all up.

"I think we can manage that. We can start planning it tomorrow if you want?"

She nodded enthusiastically, "I already have some ideas! It could be like a day trip! I'll make a budget to get mom to say yes."

Fitz laughed knowing she was the best at convincing her mother to do something she didn't want to.

"Alright well I can't wait to hear all about it."

Madison's smile never faded and she leaned in to hug him one last time. "Love you Daddy.

Three Months Later

The day was coming to an end and they each were feeling the effects of the fun they'd had. Fitz, Olivia and Madison made the short trip to Raleigh and really made a full day of Fitz's Birthday and their first official "Gotcha Day". They'd gone on a historic downtown tour, participated in a Room Escape, walked through a couple of museums and finished the day off with a Carnival they'd spotted a few exits from their house. Olivia walked over to where Fitz and Madison were saving their seats and handed them the large dreamsicle cones they'd requested.

"You both better finish them too. Before we leave."

"Yes ma'am" they both replied in unison.

Olivia smiled. It was always nice to do things with each of their kids separately but she had to admit that she adored that one on one time they were able to spend with their eldest. She was growing up and although she wouldn't trade her other kids for anything, it was fun to reminisce on the days that it was just the three of them.

"You want some Livvie?"

"Gross! Ugh. Ice cream, especially soft serve is not something you share, Dad! Agh! Say no, Mom!"

Madison watched them with a disgusted look on her face, hoping they didn't embarrass her and start sharing an ice cream.

Fitz offered the cone to Olivia again, moving it towards her lips before swinging his hand to the left at the last second and smushing the tip of the cone against Madison's nose.

"Dad! Oh my god!"

"Gotcha! Get it? It's our gotcha day."

Madison rolled her eyes and grabbed a napkin to clean her face before she sent him her best side eye.

"You're such a nerd, Dad."

"But I'm your nerd Dad"

"Also cheesy."

"Very cheesy" Olivia agreed, slowly sipping on her bottled water.

"When can we leave? I wanna do my gift for Dad. We promise not to spill it in the car."

"We've got time. You guys finish up and then we'll head home." Olivia said calmly, knowing Madison was a bit anxious to get her gift over with.

"Should I be worried?"

"Why Dad? What could go wrong?" Madison smirked in his direction. "Mom, why aren't you getting ice cream? You love these things."

"I've had my share of sweets today. That funnel cake will be my biggest regret when I can't sleep tonight."

It didn't take them long to finish and just over an hour later, they were gathered in the living room with Madison standing in front of her parents who were on the couch waiting.

"Before you open your gift, I wanna read something to you first."

Fitz nodded once before Olivia squeezed his hand.

"Dad, on this special day, there's a million things I could tell you that I remember about you, and recount all of the fun times we've had together, but I'd rather remind you of one. One of my favorite things about you Dad, is that you always show up for us. I remember being in kindergarten and we were finally living together and we were a real family. You made sure not just mom, but you were up with me every morning even when you didn't have to go into work early. I went to school and when I got there, I realized that it was the Daddy Daughter lunch and I didn't remember ever giving the flyer to you from my backpack."

Madison looked up at Fitz and saw that his posture had changed. He was now leaning forward with his elbows resting on his knees and he already looked like he was on the verge of tears.

"Mom tried to call you for me but you never answered your phone. I remember being afraid of being the only kid in class that didn't have a dad there and I remembered all the other times it happened before in preschool and the way it made me feel. I didn't realize the severity of the moment, but it brought up memories that I had pushed to the back of my mind and I didn't want to feel that way again. I'll never forget standing in line with everyone else and seeing you walk into my classroom. You carried a brand new dress for me to wear and you were dressed in really fancy clothes that you only wore when you went out with Mom. I remember seeing you and running over to you, crying."

Madison stopped talking and choked up. She looked up at her dad and saw that he was crying along with her and so was her mother. Madison stopped reading when Fitz gestured beckoned her and she went right into his open arms and sat on his lap. She sat with her back against his chest before she cleared her throat and finished reading.

"You hugged me so tight and told me that I was your Best Girl and you would always show up for me. I want to thank you because from that day forward, you've kept your word. You've been at every appointment, every dance recital, every Halloween party, every Birthday, every soccer game showering me with unconditional love and cheering me on. I really feel like I won the lottery and I'm so grateful Mom let you love us the way that you do. I wouldn't change anything about you and I hope I can be the type of daughter you always wished for.

I love you so much Fence. Thank you for being my Daddy.

Love, Your Best Girl

Fitz held tight as the tears flowed freely down his eyes and Olivia had no choice but to let them have this moment together. It was something they often spoke about and relished in as a couple, but Madison had never shown these emotions about her adoption before.

Only when Madison was calmed down did she remove herself from the crook of Fitz's neck and reached for the gift bag that was on the floor. Fitz reached into the bag and Madison helped him remove the tissue paper until a large frame was revealed. It was a gorgeous dark brown frame and the border was in the shape of an actual fence, making it immediately special to him. 'Fence' would always be who he was to his daughter in his eyes. Tears were instantly back in Fitz's eyes as he realized the same words his daughter just read to him was written in the frame, surrounding a single four by six picture. Fitz recognized the picture from the daddy-daughter lunch that was taken by the school. Madison was in her brand-new dress and he was dressed to the nines on one knee as she sat perched on the other grinning widely. Fitz set the large frame down and finally was able to respond to his daughter.

"Thank you, Best Girl. This means more to me than you'll ever know."

Olivia hated how much she was crying, but knew this day would be celebrated from now on in their household. There was never a time she could recall when Fitz wasn't a part of their lives, but he and Olivia were thrilled that their daughter found such happiness in celebrating what today meant for their family.

Fitz made it his business to actually tuck Madison into bed that night when they finally turned in. Elijah was at his parents and Camryn and Aiden were with Abby and David, making it really feel like ten years ago. When he was done locking the house up, he joined Olivia on the couch and noticed she was barely focusing on the Netflix show she had playing.

"It's been a long, amazing day." Fitz plopped down next to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder wanting to feel her warmth.

"It sure has been. It was a nice day."

Fitz eyed her for a few seconds, realizing how much space she'd given him and their daughter today.

"Have I told you thank you today for her?"

She nodded her head and leaned onto his shoulder, exhaustion to blame for her lack of words

"I thought you'd be still wired from all that sugar on that funnel cake. You didn't even share with me. We always share"

Her smile barely reached her eyes and a yawn escaped her lips before she could stop it.

"Maybe I should've made you eat that ice cream after all. You look like you need a boost of energy just to make it to our bed." He said eyeing her.

"Ugh, it would've made me sick. No dairy." Her voice was quiet and the slightest bit whiney.

"Since when does dairy make you sick?"

Olivia covered his hand with hers and slowly moved it so it was resting on her stomach before answering, "Since this."

"Are you serious?"

"As a heart attack."

"Wow"

Fitz's voice was quiet and after allowing himself a few seconds to process what she'd revealed to him, he brought her chin up with his free hand so he could see her eyes. They were soft, a bit scared, but happy. All he could do was stare at her until she broke the silence.

"What are you thinking, Fitz?"

He leaned down and kissed her forehead softly before moving down to her nose, then finally her lips.

"I'm sorry Livvie." His face was serious and it confused her.

"For what?"

"I promised you forever here, but it sounds like we need a bigger house."

"It sounds like we do."

The smile that crept on his face was contagious and with everything she could, Olivia mustered up the strength to straddle his lap and kissed him.

"Another chunky Grant baby, Livvie. I'm so excited. Are you happy?"

Olivia ran her fingers across his cheekbones, then his lips, marveling at how happy he truly looked.

"I am."
