So I haven't been updating since school started and being a freshmen the workload kind of overwhelmed me. So starting now, I will try harder to get these stories up whenever I have the time to work on them and upload them. In any case, here's the story.

Naruto groaned as a white light pierced his eyes.
Blinking to clear his vision, he gasped when he finally took notice of the area change. A beach of gray sand and roaring black waters was in front of him. Looking around, he noticed a glowing red forest with purple bark and leaves the color of fire. The leaves fell to the ground and burned as they fell. He could hear the resounding growl of an obviously large beast deep inside the forest. Taking a few steps back to the beach, he looked up and saw the moon shining her bright silver light down on him. Though, when was the moon a silver circle with a completely dark shadow in the center?
Staring at the moon in confusion, he never noticed a woman with golden straight hair and a hime cut style bangs looking at him in confusion.
'Why am I here? Last I remember, I gave my life energy to protect Shirabe and went to the afterlife. Who is this small child?' The woman questioned. She looked at the blond child and noticed the multiple scars that were layered all over his body. She shook her head at the pain that this child has endured, but she must know where she was.
Naruto heard the shuffling of feet on sand and turned around to see the woman with fair skin and golden hair approach him. For some reason, he didn't feel afraid of her. Something told him that she couldn't hurt him. He was safe here.
"Excuse me young one but do you know where we are?" She asked. He looked at her in confusion before realizing that she was actually talking to him.
'I don't know, but who are you?' He said, or he thought he said. The woman didn't seemed too shocked though.
"You're a telepathic? How extraordinary!" She smiled. "My name is Finé." She bowed slightly in respect. Naruto was now really confused, no one is ever this nice to him.
'Uh, thank you...but that still doesn't expl-' He couldn't finish his sentence as the ground rumbled and the forest shook. A roar ringed in their ears and Naruto slowly closed his eyes, even as he saw Finé glow before gaining some golden armor.

Naruto shook as another cold towel was laid on his forehead. Opening his eyes to slits, he saw Shirabe wetting another towel into a bowl. Looking around, he noticed they seemed to be in a cabin made of earth. Slowly opening his eyes completely he began to sit up. He regretted this choice since it felt like a knife embedded itself in his lower back. Shirabe quickly forced him back down and gained a green glow to her hands. After turning him to his stomach, she put her hands on the area the pain was. After a couple of seconds, the pain withered away to a dull ache. Naruto sighed in contentment as he was forced back to his back. Shirabe quickly gave some water. After drinking, he began to ask questions.
"Why are you taking care of me?" Naruto asked in fear. He was grateful for what she did, but could you really blame him for asking after what he's been through.
"You're pure soul in pain. Most people who have any dignity would do the same. The only reason why people fear you is because they don't understand. Ignorance can spawn fear, and anger goes hand in hand with fear." She said in a monotone voice. "Naruto, the pain you go through has no point other than to inspire obedience. You were an innocent in the home of the damned. Yes, there we people who understand your predicament but still did nothing to help you. I have no ulterior motive towards you, but I don't need one to help." She said. Crystal clear tears fell down the side of Naruto's face. Someone wanted to help him just because they wanted to.
"Don't cry young one." She said as she wiped my tears. Suddenly, the area shook around them knocking Naruto out of crying.
"What was that?" He asked worried.
"Kirika."
"What?!"
One of the walls in front of them sunk to the ground as Kirika appeared with two dead rabbits in her hand. "Shirabe! Look! I found dinner!" She yelled. Shirabe just shook her head and smiled a small smile. Naruto looked between the two, questioning why these two completely different people somehow ended together.
"Oh my gosh! Naruto, you're awake!" Kirika yelled as she dropped the rabbits into a bucket and jumped on Naruto. Naruto grunted as Kirika's weight landed on him and she squeezed him to death. Naruto chuckled nervously as Kirika let go of him, thanking whatever god out there that she let go.
"Naruto, there is something we must give you." Shirabe suddenly said. Kirika looked at her strongly before sighing. Naruto looked between the two nervously, hoping nothing bad will happen. Shirabe grabbed a black scroll next to her before opening and applying chakra. There was a poof of smoke before a case appeared on top of the scroll. Opening the case, Naruto watched Shirabe search through the case and what sounded like jewelry jingling resounding in the room. Shirabe pulled out a necklace with a purple jewel. Shirabe handed the necklace to Naruto who took it.
The room seemed to grow darker as the jewel connected with Naruto's hand. Chakra burst in Naruto's hand, surrounding the jewel. The jewel rose in his hands before one of the points pointed at Naruto's chest. Which it then decided to pierce him in the chest.
"NARUTO!" Shirabe and Kirika shrieked as Naruto fell backward. The last thing he heard before going to sleep was a small melody echoing in the small room.

So I hope that satisfies that for now. As I said before, I will try and update as much as I can with the little freetime I have. The next story to be updated will probably be Dark Wings and Bright Futures. So yeah, thank you for reading and please review. Ciao
