~Henry's POV~

He felt a piercing headache as his eyes finally snapped open from a restless sleep. He had seen her in an old jail cell, his mother. At first he had assumed it was just another random dream that meant nothing, but it felt real, it was real. He didn't just dream about her, she was actually there, wherever there was. Anyone would tell him he was crazy if he tried to explain this strange feeling he had, he even thought he had gone mad, but somewhere deep inside him he just had a gut feeling.

His mother had once told him he was a firm believer of whatever he set his mind to, that no matter the situation or the people that were trying to let him down, he didn't let it stop him from believing in himself. Her words echoed in his mind now, and he knew that if he was ever going to reunite with her again, he had to live by those words.

"Sleep well dearie?" Said a man's voice from behind him, the same voice that he unfortunately became too familiar with since his kidnapping, which was only a few days ago. It felt longer though, with the constant threats and torment he received as part of his "training" to prepare him for someone named Zelena.

"Whatever you're planning Mr. Gold, I already told you I want no part in it, my mom will find me." Henry wished he was facing the man so he didn't feel so exposed to any potential danger that he was most likely planning that moment, but with his arms and legs painfully knotted to the chair he fell asleep on, it was close to impossible.

"We just need some answers from you." His voice sounded more distant when he spoke again, sending a chill down Henry's spine. He knew he was useless to help in Mr. Gold's plan, but whenever he pleaded that exact statement it felt as if he was talking to a wall, since the man obviously didn't believe him.

"Why do you keep saying "we," you can keep talking about this Zelena all you like, but until I see her, you are just one crazy lunatic to me." Henry knew that the best course of action in these kinds of situations was to stay quiet, it's what his mom would tell him to do, and she would know considering she deals with these kinds of people every day.

He heard Mr. Gold's footsteps; his cane thumped against the floor as he made his was around the chair to face him, Henry tried his hardest to not flinch at the intense gaze that was fixed on the man's face, he could definitely see anger there, but also something familiar that he couldn't quite point out.

"Since you are not giving the answers that I seek my boy, we will have to be taking our little trip much sooner than I expected." Mr. Gold limped over to a table that was on his far right; Henry tried glancing over his shoulder to see what he was getting, but that was pointless considering once he grabbed the object he turned around and made sure to hold it out in front of himself so Henry could clearly see it.

"A bean?" Henry asked, sounding extremely bored and unimpressed.

"Not just any bean Henry, it possesses magical properties and acts like a portal to any realm you wish to go to." There was a glint in his eyes that Henry had never seen before; they were filled with excitement perhaps, but also something dangerous that he had no intention of messing with.

"I'm sorry Mr. Gold, but you seriously expect me to believe that we're going on a Jack and the Beanstalk adventure here? I'm not in fourth grade anymore, and you are acting suspiciously weird." Henry was no fool, he knew how to tell logic apart from fantasy, but this man obviously could not.

"You seem to have lost your believing spirit as well as your memories," Mr. Gold said, and he appeared to be actually saddened at this new realization, one that made no sense to him, "That's such a shame, it really is."

"Is there something you're not telling me-?"

"She's most likely not going to like this, she's going to take this out on me, lock me in one of those cages where her monkeys belong." The man was mumbling nonsense to him, every time he spoke some strange information was being proclaimed, and Henry really didn't want to admit this, but deep down he felt as if this Mr. Gold was saying the truth.

"This Zelena, she's the one who locked you up?" Henry asked, he needed to reason with him, or else they were going to get nowhere with this conversation.

"Who knows what she will do with you once she finds out your useless without your memories."

"I'm pretty sure I remember everything just fine."

"Well that's obviously what happens when you lose your memories, your whole reality changes but you believe it to be true. I need magic, but I can't get any in this realm since StoryBrooke is destroyed." Henry stayed quite; he didn't want to ask about magic or this StoryBrooke, even though he was eager to find out more evidence that made sense. "We will leave tonight."

"Leave where?"

"The enchanted forest, but no one must know until you have your memories back. I'm vulnerable there, she can control me, and she still is somehow." Mr. Gold made his way around to the kitchen, grabbing pots and pans, and opening the fridge to yank out different ingredients.

"You better eat up; this journey will be long and exhausting." Mr. Gold called out from the other room.

"I could help if you untied me." Henry called out hopeful.

"Not a chance, believe it or not I knew you well when you were younger, and you were a clever boy."

Henry sighed in frustration; he was in so much trouble.

~Emma's POV~

It turned out that their journey was going to take more walking on foot than sailing the sea. It took them a day to get to the destination they desired to travel from, it was Killian's decision considering he knew these forests better than she ever will, her job was just to follow and trust him.

"This land was considered quite dangerous back in the day, many powerful creatures and soldiers would roam around looking for any threats." Emma enjoyed how he could describe a tale and give her a clear visual as if it was happening in front of her eyes. No matter how twisted he made them, he always managed to make her laugh at how ridiculous it all sounded.

"When you say creatures, do you mean something worse than those flying monkeys?"

"Oh yes lass, much worse, but nothing you and I can't take."

"Right."

They had been pacing through the forest for an hour at least, with no signs of a living soul. At this point her guess could have been as good as anyone else's about their whereabouts and where they were headed.

"You seem to have a lot of trust in a group of men that you just met to take care of your ship Killian." Emma stated, changing the subject.

"Well some things are more important." He glanced at her when he said this; his eyes had a kind of softness that she could only see when he looked at her. She shouldn't react like this, but her heart pounded painfully against her chest and she wondered why that look was so familiar to her, as if she's seen it in another life time.

"Killian I was-"

Emma had lost her train of thought when she heard the same shrieking sound that had already caused her so much trouble. Killian realized a second after but was already being dragged into the undergrowth by Emma's firm grip.

"How do they keep finding us?" Emma wondered out loud.

"They don't know we're here, just stay quiet."

It was clear that there was more than one, not like the army that attacked that village, but enough for them to be largely outnumbered.

"Killian, no matter what happens I want you to know that I am truly grateful for everything you have done for me."

She was afraid to make any movement, in case the creatures could sense it, but once her words were spoken Killian's arm went around her waist and brought her close to his side.

"Nothing is going to happen, love; I rather die than allow one of those monstrosities to touch you."

"No you can't mean that, I've been in a couple relationships that were pretty serious and I could assure you they wouldn't do the same." Emma hated speaking about her past, but with him she felt as if she could talk about anything.

"They were fools Emma, you should have never gone through such heartbreak."

Emma smiled to herself as she snuggled more closely into his side.

A half an hour later they were back on the path as if they weren't almost attacked.

"We're almost there." Killian said over his shoulder.

"And what exactly is this place?"

"You shall see."

A few miles later and Killian began to run; Emma tried to keep up in her dress but didn't have to worry about it for long because Killian came to a sudden halt.

"What, what is it?" Emma asked, out of breath.

But Killian didn't have to answer for her to see that just over the treeline there was a towering looking castle, where she assumed was where they were headed, surrounded by hundreds of flying monkeys.

A/N: I guess Killian never got the memo about Zelena inhabiting Regina's castle. ;) Thank you guys so much for all the follows and favorites! I hope you enjoyed this chapter, let me know what you think.
