I have three weeks of pure DuMardle happiness to fit into the plot line before Mr Grove meddles so, hopefully, you enjoy all the ridiculously happy things this beautiful couple get up too before we return to what we saw in the series!

"Florian, this is ridiculous," Josie laughed, shaking her head at the darkness that surrounded her. Florian had entered the living room while she had been reading, declaring that he had a surprise for her before announcing that she wasn't allowed to see it. Although she had shaken her head at him, Josie had willingly allowed him to wrap the tie around her eyes before his hands had firmly taken hold of hers and led her away from the living room. "Florian, I will fall over," the brunette smiled, aware that the musician was clinging tightly onto her hands and he was leading her carefully to wherever they were going. "Florian, where are we going?" she asked quickly.

"We are nearly there, be patient," Florian declared, the brunette laughing gently when she felt his lips press against her forehead. Josie was aware that Agnes had gone to Victor's for the day and she had dismissed the staff yesterday in order to spend the day alone with Florian. She had, however, not expected him to blindfold her and lead her somewhere. "Watch the step," Florian suddenly warned; the brunette stopping as he squeezed her hand gently. "It is only a small one and I will be here to catch you if you need me," Florian declared, laughing to himself when Josie shook her head at him and quickly stepped forward; the brunette gasping when she felt her foot catch on the step and his arms tightly around her. "I promised I'd catch you," the musician whispered, falling silent when Josie slowly moved her hands up his body and up to his cheeks; quickly cupping them as he laughed gently. "I will never let you be hurt Josie," Florian whispered to her as she remained still, smiling when he leant down and gently pressed his lips to hers.

"Shall we carry on now?" Josie asked quietly when he moved away from her slightly, the musician nodding before he reached up and took her hands away from his face. Leading Josie towards her surprise, the musician smiled as he felt Josie squeeze his hand before he stopped and gently pulled her towards him, his arms wrapping around her as she began to laugh again. "Are we there now?" she asked quietly, aware that they were outside. She could feel the slight breeze on her face and the sound of people talking in the distance. "Can I please be allowed to see?" the brunette questioned, biting into her lip when Florian moved his hands from her back towards her hair; the feeling of his fingers brushing against her curls as he untied the tie. Shutting her eyes when he moved the material away from her face, Josie continued to smile before she slowly opened them and laughed gently. "Mr Dupont, what's all this?" she questioned, staring at the blanket that rested on the ground and the picnic basket that sat beside it.

"We are home alone, the weather is beautiful for once so I thought this was a perfect opportunity for us to spend some time outside together Miss Mardle," Florian explained before pressing a kiss into her hair and taking hold of her hand. "Sit with me," Florian requested, the brunette nodding quickly before she moved to sit beside him on the blanket. "Agnes is going to be out until late this evening, I asked her before she left, so we do not have to worry about being disturbed by anyone," he added, unable to stop himself from reaching across to brush his fingers across her cheek. "It shall just be you and me, no disruptions, nothing to disturb us," Florian declared, leaning forward to kiss her as her smile continued to grow. She really felt like the luckiest woman in the world; to be loved by someone like Florian.

"Well, if we are not going to be disturbed," Josie began as she moved away from the musician and laughed gently. "I guess I can relax," the brunette declared, shocking Florian when she reached up and began to remove the pins from her hair; the dark curls immediately falling to her shoulders as he continued to watch. She was the most beautiful woman to him and he adored it when she relaxed. Although he thought she was beautiful when she was dressed for work, he thought she was stunning when she was more relaxed and allowed her hair to be free and herself to laugh and smile naturally. "This is wonderful, thank you," Josie whispered, leaning forward to kiss him again; her body leaning over his as he relaxed back against the blanket. "Florian," Josie said quietly as he nodded, his fingers brushing through his hair as he stared up at her. "Would you do something for me?" she asked quietly, his head nodding again as she nervously bit into his lip.

"Anything," Florian replied quietly, sitting up as she continued to watch him.

"I want to hear you play again," Josie whispered, shock covering his face as she cupped his cheek in silence. "You said before that I stopped you from playing, that you couldn't look at it without thinking of me," the brunette commented as he nodded slowly, a small smile covering his face as she leant across and kissed him gently. "Play it for me," she requested against his lips, smiling when he stood up and moved away in the direction of the house. Watching as he ran inside, Josie laughed to herself as she relaxed back on the blanket and shut her eyes. It had been a long time since she had felt so care free; like she could enjoy herself without worrying about what people might think or the consequences of her actions.

"You look relaxed," Florian's voice commented, interrupting her from her thoughts as she propped herself up on her elbows and nodded. "And happy," he added, her head nodding slowly as he knelt down on the grass beside his violin case before she leant across and kissed him gently.

"I am happy, very happy," she admitted, unable to stop herself from grinning as the musician pressed a kiss to her forehead and moved slightly away again. Watching as Florian opened his violin case, Josie bit into her lip as she brushed hair away from her face; taking in the concentration that covered Florian's face as he began to prepare the instrument he treasured. "I am happy because of you," she added, blushing when the musician looked up from the violin to stare at her. "Now Mr Dupont, your audience is waiting for you to play something," Josie declared, laughing gently when the musician rolled his eyes and moved to stand up.

"I may not be very good, I have not played in a while," Florian said nervously.

"Florian, you will be incredible," Josie quickly stated, watching as the musician sighed before starting to play; a proud smile decorating her face as she stared at him in silence. She could see the concentration and devotion that immediately decorated his features when he started to play the instrument he cherished and it wasn't until he started to play that she realised how much she had missed the sound of the violin. For weeks, the instrument had provided comfort in an almost silent home and the removal of it had reinforced the pain she had felt in running away from the man who had fallen in love with her. Now, to hear it again, she finally started to feel like they were moving forward with their lives. Hearing him reach the end of the song, Josie quickly applauded as Florian moved the violin away from his shoulder and laughed at her reaction. "Just like I said, you were wonderful," Josie responded, Florian's head shaking as he sat back down on the grass and gently placed the violin back in its case. "Have you missed it?" she asked quietly when Florian shut the case and moved to sit beside her.

"Yes," he said honestly, lying back on the blanket before she rested her head against his chest and looked up at him. "For a while all I could think about was you running away when I tried to play," the musician admitted as Josie shut her eyes, smiling weakly when his fingers began to play with her hair. "But now, now I will remember your smile and today," he whispered, her eyes opening slowly while he watched her. "And lying out here with you, I will always remember that."

XOOXOXOXOXO

"Can I ask you something personal?" Josie asked quietly as they lay on the blanket, her head resting against his chest as she stared at their laced fingers. It had been the most perfect day; being alone with him without worrying that someone might find them. They had laughed at each other's jokes and been free to kiss whenever they felt like without having to look first to see whether anyone might catch them. It felt nice not to have to worry about other people and to just immerse herself in her relationship.

"You can ask me anything Josie," Florian responded, bringing their entwined hands to his lips to press a kiss to her fingers; a small laugh leaving her lips at the feeling. "Anything at all."

"Am I the first person you have been with?" Josie asked quietly, sitting up so she could look at him as he nodded slowly.

"Yes, yes you are," Florian admitted, the brunette smiling as she leant down and gently brushed her lips against his. "I know I am not yours," the musician admitted, the brunette moving away from him as she sighed and glanced across the garden. "Josie," Florian whispered, sitting up slowly before he pressed a kiss to her head. "It doesn't matter to me," he declared, her eyes shutting as he wrapped an arm around her body.

"It matters to me though," Josie said quietly. "I sometimes regret the decisions I made before," she admitted, slowly opening her eyes to look at him again. "I have made some poor choices in the past; choices that have cost me a lot and have, at times, made me look and feel the fool," Josie said quietly, smiling weakly when Florian rested his hand against her cheek and kissed her gently. "I do not regret this though, this has made me so happy," she whispered, her hand grasping his shirt as they rested their foreheads together. "You make me happy," Josie said quietly.

"You make me very happy as well," Florian responded, unable to remove the smile from his face.

"I have had a lovely day today, thank you for organising this," Josie smiled, shutting her eyes when Florian moved to press a kiss to her forehead.

"Thank you for allowing yourself to enjoy this," Florian responded, wrapping his arms around her as they moved to lie back down again. "This has been a lovely way to spend the day," the musician whispered, Josie smiling as she rested her head on his chest again and shut her eyes; his fingers immediately playing with her hair. She really did feel completely content when she was in his arms; like there was nothing else in the world except for the two of them. She couldn't imagine herself ever being happier than she was with him.

Please review, it really does mean the world to me.
