Finding the right Path

Vera was outside in the forest somewhere; she honestly wasn't sure what had happened. One minute she had been watching the Cullen's celebrate the human's birthday and then the strong urge to feed. She thought she had better control over her hungry but it was proven to her that she was wrong in that department and the guilt at trying to attack the Cullen's human who had done nothing but try and help her and the guilt for Jasper. He must have felt her hunger that has urged him to attack.

The other had gone after Jasper as soon as they realized she had gained controlled back, it helped taking down a mountain lion. There was no plan now, she didn't think they would want her sticking around now after attacking the human, she could still smell the faint smell of Bella's blood. It had been under her nails and she had even washed then in a small river near her but the slight smell of it still hung in the air.

Leaves crunching announced someone heading straight towards her. Vera lifted up her head to be welcomed with Rosalie glare which cause Vera to sigh. Of course, she would be pissed, I attacked her family.

"I should have been more carefully and probably listened to jasper about feeding. I didn't mean to attack your family" her voice was quiet but the forest was silent so it echoed slightly making it seem louder then she wanted.

Rosalie huffed in irritation "I don't give a crap about you attacking the human but you nearly endanger my family. If you had succeeded in killing Isabella then my family would have to deal with the Police and the Chief, her father. Then we would have been killed by the Volturi because you couldn't control yourself. I will not have you ruin my life here and I refuse to move because of a rogue vampire not knowing how to control herself!" There was so much angry in Rosalie voice that Vera couldn't blame her but there was a part of her that knew Rosalie did not know fully on what she was talking about. Just because she had amazing control, she wasn't brought up in the lifestyle that Vera had been brought up in. All she had known what killing and feeding.

"SHUT UP ROSE" A southern voice echoed around the forest caused both women to look in the direction to see Jasper storming forward, his eyes stick black, mixture of hunger and anger. "Would you still feel the same if it had just been me that had lost control? We both know I'm still struggling with my blood lust. Don't forget when you had been first turned and the human blood you spilled!"

That had cause Rosalie to growl before storming of, simply not wanting to get into it with Jasper.

Vera still sat on the rock not having moved part from moving her face away from jasper not wanting to see the disappointing look on his face. For some reason she felt like a huge failure to him and somewhere deep in her it hurt at the thought of disappoint him.

"Vera, I am so sorry. We should have both fed before the party and I should have been more responsible and had made sure you had fed as well. I am so sorry for failing you" By the time he had finished, Vera was glaring at him while his eye's never left the ground as he walked as close as possible to her.

"JASPER!" She snarled, never having been so angry before, he was taking the blame for what had happened and she refused to let that happen. She stood up from the rock so she was standing right in front of him "Do not blame yourself! I've been alive for so long that I should have known better, this is not your fault. This is mine. You had felt my bloodlust as well as the family, never blame yourself please. I should have been more careful and Rosalie is right, because of my actions tonight I had endangered your family" She shook her head at her failure "and you..." She whispered not knowing why she felt more guilt at that.

In the short amount of time, he had become important to her and she couldn't understand why but she enjoyed the feeling, it was something she had never felt before. She felt complete with him, like he completed the other half of her that she had felt was missing all though the years.

Jasper fingers twitched trying to fight the urge to hold her as he didn't want to scare her but he couldn't control the small smile that made it way to his face. She was feeling it, hopefully soon he could tell her but for now he would have to go slow, not wanting to scare her of and maybe she would stay after her control was sorted.

Even if she didn't stay, he wouldn't be far behind her. There was no way he was going to let her leave without him, everything he had endured in his life and he was not going to let his mate go and he couldn't wait until he was able to explain to her what they were.

"Why do I feel like this with you?"

Which might actually be sooner than he expected….

There you go. I know it only short but promise there be a longer chapter on weekend. Please don't forget to review. Thank you
