I can't believe it has been a year and to be honest, I am still stuck but at least I got another chapter done and something is lurking in the deep dark holes of my mind. (if I could just find it)

Chapter 27

Once back in their house the family took some much needed rest. Regina slept for about two hours and when she came downstairs an excited Tinkerbell and Belle stood in her kitchen.

'Blue told me what happened and your worries about this little munchkin' Tink lovingly stroked over Regina's belly and got rewarded with a firm kick to the hand.

'So I went to Bell, picked her up, came to your house two hours ago and with the help of Richard we went researching in the books you borrowed from the convent'

Tink took a deep breath, knowing what she was about to say would make a huge impact.

'We think you will we be giving birth to a fairy'

Regina paled, grabbed the table with both hands and was ushered into a chair by Richard. How was this possible, she who had been ignored by them was going to be their leader and about to give birth to one. She felt sick to her stomach.

'The baby was conceived between two soulmates' Belle explained. 'True love is rare but love between soulmates hasn't been around in eons'

Tink waved to Belle indicating that she should shut up, something was wrong. Richard seemed worried and just when Tink was about to ask if everything was alright Richard sprung into action.

He all of sudden grabbed his phone and he frantically began pushing on the small screen.

'Dr. Whale, it is time. She is having contractions' Richard paused for a while. 'Sure, we are on our way'

Regina grabbed one of Tink's hands and squeezed. TInk went down on her knees trying to relieve some of the pain Regina was causing her.

'What are you doing down there' Regina asked in surprise after the pain had subsided when she saw Tink on her knees. Tink was about to answer that when Regina realized something.

'Oh, my god. She is to early' The house started to vibrate.

'Well, she seems to think otherwise. It'll be fine, babies have been born early before, she is going to be alright, you both are' Tink told Regina. She then made it clear to Richard that she would wait here with Regina while he grabbed some stuff together so they could go to the hospital. Tink and Belle kept Regina pretty calm on route to the hospital, giving her the phone so she could place some calls, it kept her mind occupied and thus everything around her safe and sound.

During the ride Regina called Henry and told him if he wanted to be around when his sister was born he should come to the hospital now. Henry was even more nervous than his mother after that and that fact had Regina laughing.

Her second call went to Robin, who promised to be there as soon as he could. He would need to find Marion so he could tell her to watch Roland while he came over.

Richard escorted Regina into hospital. She stopped all of a sudden. 'Maybe I should be knocked out and have Whale do a c-section so I don't destroy anything or worse kill someone. God, Richard why did I come back. I wouldn't have had this problem if I had stayed put'

'You came back to save Henry and in my opinion that is the most important reason a mother could have' Richard assured her.

Regina grabbed him when she felt another contraction coming on, together they got through it.

Whale came running and escorted them both into a private room nearby. Regina went into full labor about two hours after she arrived in the hospital.

The hospital was evacuated as much as possible just in case Regina lost control of her powers but as it turned out it wasn't necessary. Regina was very much in control of her physical pain but when she gazed upon her daughter the first time all hell broke loose.

The baby was whisked away for quick check up due to the fact she was a little premature but the little one returned soon after and when Richard walked back in with her in his hands Regina began to cry and the room started to shake.

'Regina!, get a grip' Richard exclaimed.

'I am sorry, just had a child, cut me some slack, will you' Regina bit back but then saw Richard also crying.

'She is beautiful' Richard hiccupped. He carefully held her in his giant hands and gently handed her over to her mother for the first time. In the meantime the room had filled up with visitors.

Regina had already noticed that her daughter was very much pink, she had sighed in relief about that. She quickly checked other things, little tiny fingers, little tiny feet, a little tiny nose who by now had scrunched up a little and before anyone could say anything the little one sneezed all over her mother.

It wasn't so much the sneeze that had everyone surprised but the amount of fairy dust that came with it. In response to her daughter's sneezing Regina had to sneeze which resulted in the entire room being filled with Fairy Dust.

Richard and all the visitors were all in awe. The room was being lit up with colours as bright as a rainbow. Mother and daughter didn't even notice, they were too preoccupied with sizing each other up, two pair of eyes were entranced with one another.

'Happy Birthday, my beautiful Rose' Regina softly murmured and Rose took that moment to let her mother know she was very hungry after all that hard work. She had a healthy set of lungs.

Richard and Henry ushered everyone out so Regina could breastfeed for the very first time. Rose was a quick learner and latched on pretty fast. The only noise in the room that could be heard was Rose's eager drinking habits.

Richard stood still watching Regina feed Rose. Henry had opted to stay away since he wasn't ready to see that just right now. After a short while when Rose was fed and burped a knock at the door was heard and Robin stuck his head in.

Regina and Richard waved him in and soon after Robin held his daughter for the very first time. He had been around during the labour in order to assist whenever and wherever they needed him but he had kept his distance in order not to disrespect Richard or Regina.

'Would you like to hold her' Regina softly asked. Robin eagerly nodded. The little girl protested a little bit when she was whisked away from her mother but it didn't take long before she settled into the arms of her father.

'She is beautiful. Have you named her yet'

'Her name is Rose Eleonora Mills'

Richard's head whipped around so fast Regina foresaw whiplash in his near future but he kept quiet.

Robin nodded in agreement. 'That is very beautiful name, it is very well chosen. Regina, like I said I do want to be involved in my daughter's life but I understand that this in neither the time or place to discuss these things. I hope you will permit me to come over when you seem fit so we can talk about our daughter's future'

Regina nodded but didn't pay much attention to him and kept staring at Richard. Robin gave Rose back to her mother and left the room feeling like the third wheel.

'Rose Eleonora Miss ?' Richard softly said.

'I hope you approve'

'It's my mother's name'

'Yes I know. I researched your history and when I came across her name I thought I could use it since I like it very much and I could show you how much I love you, Richard'

'marry me' He blurted out.

'What ?'

'you heard me, marry me'

'yes' Regina said with all the conviction she could muster. She loved this man.
