Prologue
Halliwell Manor
A few months later
"I still don't like you..." Paige said with an smile, as she adjusted his tie carefully.
"I don't like you either," Cole said, rolling his eyes.
Paige let out a small laugh. So many things had happened to them. It was an incredible journey that has changed the direction of their lives completely. If someone had told her some months ago that she would accept Cole Turner as member of her family, Paige wouldn't believe it. But today she was there, standing in front of him, helping him to adjust his tie.
"Are you nervous?" she asked.
"A little," Cole frowned. "Is she really here?"
"Yeah, you can't escape it," she replied, crossing her arms over her chest. Then she looked into his eyes and her expression softened. "She loves you, Cole... Everything is gonna be okay."
Cole sighed and walked to the living room. Everyone, or almost everyone, was there. Only Phoebe didn't appear... "Too much information", she said.
"The groom is here," Grams said softly, glancing at him.
He just nodded. The truth was he was a little nervous. Everything is gonna be okay, there's no demons, you're not possessed... This time things will be different, he assured to himself.
Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted by Prue's voice. "She's coming," she said and Cole turned to see Piper.
Victor was walking her down the makeshift aisle. Everyone stood in place. Paige had Wyatt in her lap and seemed comfortable. Patty was with Grams by her side. Darryl and his wife were the best man and the maid of honor.
"Well, it's time..." Prue said softly.
Victor nodded and kissed Piper's head. "Be happy," he whispered in her ear.
"I'll be," she replied and took Cole's arm.
Prue cleared her throat. "We are gathered here tonight to unite Cole and Piper as partners in life. Do you, Cole Turner, and Piper Halliwell, join us of your free will to acknowledge the eternal bond shared by both of you?"
"I do," Cole said.
"I do," Piper said.
"Now, you may face each other and join hands to say your vows", Prue explained.
"Piper, you changed my life completely, you taught me how to love again. You breathed life into my broken soul. And I promise to love and respect you, to laugh with you when you're happy, to support you when you're sad. I promise, no matter what happens, I will be there with you. Always."
"Piper..." Prue turned to her.
"Cole, you are the gift I never saw coming. I love you so deeply that there's no curse or spell that can separate me from you. I promise to love and respect you, to challenge you to be a better person and allow you to do the same for me. I promise from this day on, you shall not walk alone. No matter what, I'll be there."
Prue sighed. "Here before witness, Cole and Piper have sworn their vows. With this cord, I bind them to those vows."
A rope was loosely tied around their hands.
"Heart to thee, Soul to thee, always and forever, so mote it be," Piper and Cole said together.
"So mote it be," Prue said, a slight smile on her face.
"So mote it be", said everyone in that large room.
"You can kiss the bride," Prue said.
Piper and Cole kissed. And everyone applauded them.
An year later
At the hospital
"How's Piper?" Cole asked in concern.
"She's resting," the doctor said calmly.
"Is she really okay?" Phoebe asked with Wyatt in her arms.
"Of course, we had to perform a c-section, but she's going to be okay," the doctor assured them.
Paige sighed. "And the baby? Is he okay?"
"You can see it by yourself..." the doctor said, pointing to the recovery room.
He opened the door and stepped aside so Cole could come in. They saw Piper lying on the bed and a nurse carrying a little baby wrapped in a blanket.
"Congratulations," she said with a smile, putting the baby in Cole's arms.
"Welcome to this world, Chris," Cole said, trying to control the tears from falling.
"He's beautiful..." Phoebe remarked. "Baby Christopher. Look, Wyatt, that's your brother..."
He's beautiful, like in my premonition, she thought with a deep sigh.
Paige started to cry and Prue comforted her. "Looks like we didn't lose him after all," she said holding her sister tightly.
"Hi," Cole said to Piper.
Piper looked at them with teary eyes. "He's fine," she said.
Cole placed the baby in Piper's arms. "He's fine, baby. He'll be okay," Cole assured his wife.
Piper looked at the little baby and a single tear came out her eye. "I don't want to lose him."
"And you won't!" Cole said firmly. "He changed the future, Piper. That horrible future will never come true..."
Piper sighed. "He did it... He was so brave."
Cole caressed her face and kissed her forehead. "He's safe now. And we'll protect him and Wyatt no matter what."
Piper nodded. "I love you," she said.
"I love you too..."
The end.
