Chapter 20

Phoebe stood above the crib, looking down at her baby boy's sleeping form. He was only three months old but he had already lived so much.

She felt hands rubbing her shoulders and leaned back against Cole's chest.

"Is he asleep?"

"Yeah he must be exhausted. Fell asleep right away."

"Well he's a party guy but even the most fervent of party-goers get tired at some point."

"Hmm. I'm surprised the wicanning went on without a hitch."

"That's if you don't count your grandmother's loud protests about Ben's gender as a hitch."

Phoebe chuckled quietly. "I still can't believe her. Her many marriages have made her very bitter."

"That's why she hates men I suppose."

They made their way to the living room, tidying it. "I suppose. But I was talking about demons. I'm surprised none of them made a move today."

"Well I think they've learned their lesson. After their attempts at kidnapping you during the pregnancy and then Ben since he was born failed, I imagine either they abandoned the idea or they are planning further."

"Lucky for us the little guy can protect himself."

Cole smirked. "Yeah. He can pack a punch."

"You're very proud of that, aren't you?"

"Hell yeah! My three-month-old son has over dozens of vanquishes on his curriculum. How many fathers can relate to that?"

"Poor Piper's gonna suffer the same attacks."

"That's what happens when Halliwells give birth to half-breeds."

He got a swat on the chest for his comment. "I'm serious!"

"Me too. But unlike you, Piper's pregnancy was blessed from the heavens." The last part of the sentence was emphasized by quotation marks.

It made Phoebe roll her eyes. "Please don't get me started on that stupid prophecy. The kid's powerful yeah but that doesn't make him any more important than Ben. The idiots think that just because someone is an angel and made of pure good then they're incapable of doing any wrong."

"Their self-righteousness might cause them a few problems someday."

"Well, as long as they stay away from our kids I'll be just fine."

Cole smirked once again. "Do you really think that they'd be stupid enough to try and get him after Ben fried the brains out of one of their own?"

"I don't know but they can get as stubborn as demons when they wanna get their hands on something or someone powerful."

"Let them play their games against each other. They won't bother us that way."

"Uhuh. Come on enough of the cleaning. Take care of it and then we can follow our son's example and take a nap."

He shot her an amused look. "Really? You're the one that always want to do things with as little magic as possible."

"Oww. Come on there are exceptions. Like this one. Go on then. Get to it. I'll wait for you in the bedroom." With that, she gave him a suggestive wink and then made her way to said room.

Cole shook his head at her antics. God how he loved her. And to think, he had almost lost her because of the Source. And he would have if it hadn't been for the meddling of his futuristic daughter.

And now he had everything he had always wanted: a family of his own. Life couldn't be better for Cole Turner.

End

I know it was really short and kind of disappointing but I didn't know how else to finish this story off. I was taking all my free time and I need to continue with the others.

Sorry for those who wanted it to continue to the rest of the series but it wasn't the plan. I already have two fics than are doing exactly that.

Thank you all for the reviews.
