C's World

"CC, you're not going with them?"

This was asked by the young Britannian rebel, Lelouch vi Britannia to mysterious women with lime green hair, CC. Lelouch had just prevented his mother's and father's ambitions to recreate the world to a better world that suits them. He was betrayed by the very organization he founded, the Black Knights; lost his sister Nunnally, the most important person to him in the world; and had now he just killed his parents with the help of "God". Now, he is all alone with only CC, who has been his accomplice since he started his rebellion, and his best friend since childhood, and the most difficult opponent, Suzaku Kururugi, the Knight of Seven and Britannia's White Knight/Reaper.

"When death comes, you should be smiling.", answers CC, repeating the very phrase Lelouch told once told her, before asking both Lelouch and Suzaku, "So what will you two do?"

Lelouch and Suzaku turn and stare at each other. Inside their heads, are the memories of their lives together, from the first time they met, to the summer they spent with Nunally, to when they met again a year ago, and to Euphemia Li Britannia's tragic death at the hands of Lelouch.

"You two have refused Charles's plan and chose to keep the flow of time" continues CC, "with that-"
"That's right, Lelouch is Euphie's killer.", angrily spoke Suzaku, as he readies his sword.
"So what?", counters Lelouch glaring at Suzaku.

They both stare at the other with deadly glares. CC readies herself to stop Suzaku, however, Suzaku drops his stance and put his sword down. He looks conflicted over what to do next, but he knew one thing to do.

"Lelouch, remember when I once told you that results from the wrong means are meaningless.", reminds Suzaku.
"So what of it?", questions Lelouch, staring at Suzaku.
"I was naive. In this world, especially this world, what matters are the results…", continues Suzaku, as he pauses for second before announcing, "…so the results I seek is that I become the Knight of One under Prince Schneizel."
"So you're willing to throw your hat to Schneizel, all just to take control of Japan.", mocks Lelouch, glaring angrily at Suzaku.
"What happened in Tokyo will never happen again.", determinedly says Suzaku, referring to the FLEIA, which destroyed the city of Tokyo, "I'll become the Knight of One and with the power of a single area, I'll prevent any meaningless bloodshed in Area 11. No, I will dirty my hands so that the gentle world Euphie and Nunnally spoke will come true. It's the least I can do."
"I see, you continue living with ambition, while I continue to live without reason.", says Lelouch, who wants to laugh a bit from the irony.
"This is probably your punishment for the sins you caused; life without existence.", says Suzaku, who feels that sort of punishment must be a tragic irony or comedy after Lelouch had so many reasons to live.
"It's not a life that is worth living.", comment CC, knowing how it feels like.
"CC, if you mind, can you open the gate to the outside?", asks Suzaku, "I need to send a message to the first Prince that Charles Zi Britannia is killed. I'll let you two escape before they show up."

CC stands up and the Geass symbol on her forehead glows. Suzaku stood still, before walking to the door, and touches it. He gives one last look at Lelouch, and looks a bit regretful for a second, before disappearing from the C's World.

"Lelouch, what will you do now?", asks CC, sounding concern.
Lelouch waits a moment, thinking on what to do next, before answering, "Nunnally is dead, the Black Knight abandoned me, and Schneizel knows who I am and that I'm still alive. I don't know what to do anymore."

Lelouch's eyes are full of despair as CC looks at him with concern. She starts walking towards the door before turning her head back to him.

"When you have an idea, come outside. Suzaku isn't planning on selling you to Schneizel.", assures CC before smiling, " Don't die yet, Lelouch. Or at the very least, die with a smile on your face. Don't forget, you are not alone."

CC touches the door and leaves the C's World, as Lelouch sits down on the ground and closes his eyes. This is the lowest he has ever felt. He thought of what he has left, after losing so many, from his army to his friends, to his sister. All for the sake of what? For his sister to live in a world she'll never see?

He thought of the happy times in Ashford. He thought about Rivalz and Milly, hoping they would have a happier life in the future without him. His thoughts turn to Kallen, a woman who swore her loyalty to him; he wonders if she'll ever forgive him after the words, he told her to keep her from dying with him. He then reminisces about Nunnally, Rolo, and Shirley.

"Big Brother!"
"Lulu!"
"Lelouch!"

Lelouch looks in front of him to see Shirley, Rolo, and Nunnally in front of him. He reaches out his hands towards them before they are disappearing. It took seconds before Lelouch realize that he was hallucinating, as he almost panics.

"Rolo, Shirley, Nunnally.", says Lelouch, whose voice starts cracking as he looks up the C's World with his eyes filled with sorrow and tears. "What is it that I have to live for now?"

Suddenly, a loud cracking noise echoes around the C's World, as Lelouch gets up and starts looking for where it came from. A light suddenly glows in front of him coming from where the Sword of Akasha was. A gust of wind starts blowing around it, as it starts to pull Lelouch in. He tries to grab on to anything to keep him from being suck into the light, but there was nothing to hold him, as he blew into the light.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!", screams Lelouch as he falls into the pit of bright light.

Lelouch closes his eyes, thinking that this his death. He waits for death, before realizing that nothing is happening to his body. He opens his eyes and finds himself falling in space. He faces turns to one of disbelief when he sees Earth, right in front of him, with similar looking planets behind it. A white flash blinds him and he starts to feel like his body is being torn apart

"Arrrrrrrraaaaaaaa", screams Lelouch, as something is ripping his body from the inside.

Lelouch looks around and for a moment, finds himself on fire before he felt his body starts relaxing, then returns to normal. The last he remembers before then is the world going black.

Another Universe, Earth 616

In Westchester, New York, exist an uncanny school, unlike any other. This school is home for various beings called mutants. Mutants or Homo-Superior had been called the next evolution of humanity and/or the devil's minions from various detractors. Each mutant has an ability that makes them special from each other and most of humanity. Because of their difference, humans began to fear mutants, going so far as to kill them. This results in other mutants to retaliate and calling for revenge against humans. This led to a long cycle of war and peace before the two species.

However, the previously mentioned school was a home not just for young mutants, but it also the home of Charles Xavier and his team of mutants, to help him carry out a new age of human and mutant living side by side. They are called the X-Men.

In the room of Cerebra, a room with nothing but a walkway to the middle of the room that holds a special machine called Cerebra, Charles Xavier is using Cerebra for his daily search for new mutants around the world. Suddenly, Charles Xavier receives a huge shock wave from Cerebra, as it detected a new mutant

"Arrrraaaaa!", screams Xavier as he senses the new mutant, "A new mutant? But why did they create such feedback?"

Suddenly, the door to Cerebra's room open. Coming inside is a blue beastlike man wearing a lab coat, running to the room. He wears a concerned look on his face.

"Professor, what wrong!?", asks a worried Beast, who heard Charles's scream from his lab.
"I'm fine Henry.", assures Charles, before placing attention to this new development, "But there seems to be a new mutant has appeared. According to Cerebra, it is located somewhere in Japan."
"Japan? Logan shouldn't be far from there.", mentions the Beast, "He said he wanted to take a small vacation to Tokyo."
"In that case, I should go contact him and…", says Charles, before detecting something hostile, "-wait?"
"What is wrong, Professor?", asks Beast while Xavier focuses.
"There seem to be a group of hostiles near where the new mutant is.", explains Xavier, "I think they might be Purifiers."
"Purifiers!? Why are they there?", wonders Beast, he prepares to unleash an emergency call to Wolverine, "In that case, I'll go contact Logan and tell him to get there soon. I shall join him via the Blackbird."

Tokyo, Japan, Earth 616

Lelouch, the former 11th prince of Britannia, the rebel once known as Zero, and a man who lost everything, is lying down unconscious on a beach. It was in the middle of the night, meaning there wasn't anybody at the beach, except for police patrols, who were too far to spot him. It took a couple of minutes before he regains consciousness, as he feels the cold sand around his hand.

"What happened?", Lelouch thought, as his eyes start to regain sight, "Am I back in Kamine Island?"

He looks ahead of him and sees the ocean, but it's completely different from the shores of Kamine. Not only that, there should still be a conflict around him between the Britannian soldiers he Geassed and the royal guard. He turns around and to his shock and disbelief, there is a city behind him, filled with glowing lights of shops and streetlights.

At first, he thought he was back in Britannian occupied Tokyo or another city in Japan, but he starting to recognize that this doesn't look like a Britannian conquered the city and Tokyo is destroyed. After several seconds of staring, looking at several signs that have Tokyo in it, as well as the lack of Britannia's redevelopments, he started to realize something.

"Th-this is… T-Tokyo!?" thought an unconceived and flabbergasted Lelouch, "It looks like Tokyo… before Britannia's invasion! How is that possible!?"

Lelouch tries to recollect the events the happened to him as he put his head down. At first, he thought he was hallucinating again, but after pinching himself and feeling the sting of his hand he realizes this real. He started to panic but took a deep breath to recollect himself. He needed to make sure if this is really Tokyo.

"I should abandon this outfit.", thinks Lelouch, referring to his Zero suit. "Just in case someone recogni—"

Before Lelouch can even hide, a couple, a man with dyed blond hair and a woman, was on the sidewalk close to him, who spotted him. Lelouch becomes startled and tries to activate his Geass upon them, but the two smile and continues smiling. They commented on his outfit in Japanese, which Lelouch had learned during his time in Japan as a child.

"Amazing cosplay.", comments the woman, "I wonder what kind of anime it's from?"
Lelouch watches them, a bit relieved, yet alarmed, as he wonders the words they said, "Cosplay? Anime?"

When the close is clear, Lelouch rushes out of the beach, into the streets. He wondered why they didn't recognize him as Zero. Also, they appear to be Japanese, yet don't look like they're from the ghettos. He wonders if they were Honorary Britannians instead as he goes into an alley.

Before coming out of the other side of the alley, he watches the street from a distance and sees a couple of Japanese businessmen walking the streets, looking like they just got off work. This set a signal to Lelouch, as most Honorary Britannians in Area 11 work blue collars jobs, not salary workers in suits. That was before the war and invasion of Britannia, in old Japan.

"It can't be.", though Lelouch, as he thought about the idea of time travel, "It should be impossible to do such a thing. Even if with the power of Geass, it should be—"

That's when Lelouch remembered about the C's World and "God". He asked "God" to erase his parents from the world, to continue the flow of time, so such a thing as time travel shouldn't be too far fetched. But still, to Lelouch, he can't accept such a thing yet.

Lelouch exits the alley and goes into a nearby 24/7 store, where upon entering, he is greeted by a male employee, "Welcome! What can I interest you in?"
"Hello, I am just… looking around for something to buy.", responds Lelouch, speaking his best Japanese as he possibly could.
"Are you coming from some kind of cosplay thing or something? Your eyes have a weird color on them", asks the cashier, as Lelouch realized that he never put his contacts back on.
"Ummm, something like that.", responds Lelouch, who deep down, is disturbed by the lack of recognizability his outfit has been receiving, which fuels his time travel theory.

He browses for a pair of clothing and immediately notices something about the clothing. While it is completely different from how the Japanese from his time wore, it is also different from how they used to wear before the war, as some of the clothing here is more "revealing" and a bit gaudy for his taste. Lelouch thought that he might not have been paying a lot of attention in people's clothing back then, but the man who first saw him had dyed blond hair, which Lelouch had never seen on a Japanese.

Lelouch starts denying certain ideas in his head and focuses on grabbing clothing so he can go investigate. He grabs a white shirt, black jacket, black pants, with black tennis shoes and grabs a pair of sunglasses, which he uses to cover his eyes. He walks over to the counter and drops the clothing in front of the male employee

"I have a question?", asks Lelouch as he takes off the glasses.
"What can I answer?", asks politely the cashier.
Lelouch looks at the cashier directly in his eyes and uses his Geass, "Can I have these clothes for free and will you forget that you ever saw me. Also, please delete the video of me from the security camera?"
The cashier, now in a trance, responds, "It's not a problem sir."

Lelouch smirks and goes into the changing room and changes. He winces a little bit, as he feels something burning in his eyes. It was like something set his pupils on fire, but it goes away after a few moments. Lelouch rubs his eyes, thinking that using "God" put a huge strain on his Geass.

Coming out with new clothing on and his Zero outfit in a bag, Lelouch leaves the store and starts walking up the street. He looks around and sees that some Japanese are staring at him. At first, he thought it was because he was Britannian in a Japanese area but realize that the stares are more different from usual. More curious than resentful, which was the standard expression he usually gets from a Japanese, even before the invasion.

Thinking that he needs to find a library to excess information, Lelouch spots a Pizza Hut from a distance and smiles, "Seem somethings haven't changed."

Suddenly, the burning pain from earlier came back, as Lelouch stops and feel his eyes. But the pain starts becoming too intense, but he tries not to scream in order to not attract attention. Eventually, he flees to a nearby alleyway, as the pain starts to increase to the point where he feels his eyes are becoming the sun themselves. He falls to his knees and screams but quickly bites his tongue to stop his cries.

Eventually, the pain stops, with Lelouch is drenched in sweat and tears, panting in order to regain his breath. He struggles to get up, but his legs start shaking from how suddenly exhausted his body became. As his eyes regain sight, he spots two men approaching him, wearing some sort of combat uniforms, with pistols to their sides. At first, Lelouch thought they were Britannian soldiers, as they weren't Japanese, and are here to arrest him or put him down, but realized they weren't.

"Excuse me. How about to you come with us.", orders one of the men in English, with a voice of disdain.
"Th-that depends...", Lelouch responds, starting to regain his breath, "what exactly do you need from me."
"We know who you are.", responds another man, as Lelouch flinches from what he said.
"In that case…", says Lelouch as removes his sunglasses, "I, Lelouch vi Britannia commands the both of you… move out of the way."
The two men are entangled into a trance and respond, "Yes, your highness!"

The two then move out of Lelouch's way, as Lelouch felt the burning sensation returning not just to his eyes, but his entire body as well. He started wondering why is this happening to him, but suddenly, several men, wearing the same uniform as the other two, came out of the shadows and point their rifles at him

"He did something!"
"Keep your distance! Wait for orders!"
"You better not do anything stupid, mutie!"

Lelouch, still wincing in pain, finds himself surrounded by armed men who shouting various slurs at him, such as mutant, mutie, and freak. He doesn't know why they are saying stuff like that to him. Is it because of his Geass? Did they saw him use it back in the store? Are they really Britannian soldiers or survivors of the Geass cult?

"No. They have to be a third party and their reaction to just now means that this is the first time they saw my power.", thinks Lelouch, tears coming out of his face again over the pain, "I need to use my Geass, but the pain—"
"You know what, you girls need to play nicer to someone younger.", echoes a man' voice from above the building.

Everybody in the alley was startled by the mysterious voice, as they look up to its direction and sees a shadow coming down on them. The sounds metal slicing rings Lelouch's ears, as a man wearing a leather jacket, with wild looking hair, and claws on his hands stand in front of him. Lelouch sees that two of the militia's rifle are sliced by their barrels as the wild-looking man charges at the militia.

"Those claws…", thought Lelouch, who squints closely at the man's hands, "They can't be coming out his hands?"
"Hey, kid!", shouts the man, whose slicing the gun of the militia "You just gonna stand there or are you going to get away?!"

Lelouch stops looking and starts running away from the battle. It's been about 30 minutes since he woke up from that beach, and now he is running from a mysterious militia whose fighting a man with claws in what could be past Japan. Such a thought would be ridiculous if he wasn't experiencing it.

He eventually ran out the alley to an empty parking lot surrounded by what looks like a vacant building. Lelouch stops and tries to catch his breath as his unphysical body can only take him that far. He thought about where should he go now, but before he can decide, two white vans turn the corner, parking in the parking lot as another group of the militia came out of them.

"There he is! Keep your distance and get him!", commands the leader as the group aim their guns and start pressing forward at Lelouch.
"Damn!", softly shouts Lelouch as rifles are aimed at his head.
"You did all right getting away, but your biggest mistake was thinking you should live.", announces the leader as Lelouch glares at him, "This is the price one pays for their birth. We shall purify you and the world through death."
"And who are you to say the I should die!?", angrily questions Lelouch, who enraged that someone is judging through his birth.
"You're a mutie kid. An abomination. A servant of the devil and an enemy of god. That more than enough for us.", says the leader as he grabs his pistol and aims at Lelouch.

Lelouch tries to use his Geass, but the pain starts to come back as he holds his eyes again. Tears start to flow again from the pain, as Lelouch curses that he can't do anything about this situation. He doesn't even know why his Geass is starting to hurt him or where the burning is coming from. He just turns to his thought, as the leader of the militia loads his gun.

"I-I'm really going to die. I knew I have this coming, but I never in a place like this. I don't even know how I ended up like this. Nunnally, Euphie, Rolo, Shirley… it seems I going to join you in C's World.", thought Lelouch, making a sorrow smile, as he thought of the things he regretted. "I wish that I could have done things differently. I could have made my rebellion more successful or kept Euphie alive. If only…Rolo, Shirley, Euphie… Nunnally! You guys shouldn't have ended up like that. Died for nothing and leaving nothing behind. It should have been me in the end."

"When death comes you should be happy."

He doesn't know where those words came from, but Lelouch recognizes those as CC's words. Her voice engulfs his head, the moment he was ready to die. He doesn't know why those words came to him now. Maybe, because deep down he knows, he can't die here.

"CC."
"I shall be with you till the very end. Walking beside you, in the path shown by you."
"Kallen."
"I'm not… a tool! I do this… out of my own… free will…as a human being!"
"Rolo."
"You told the lie of that you were a knight for justice. Then become a true knight for justice."
"Suzaku"
"No matter how many times I'm reborn…I'll keep falling in love with you."
"Shirley."
"I wish for the world to be a gentler place."
"Nunnally!"

Lelouch looks at the gun pointed at him with a fierce look and shouts with all his might, "I can't let it end like this! I…I…I will live!"

Lelouch felt his hands burning again, but this time, it wasn't hurting. He didn't know what is happening, but it felt like his hands becoming lighter and warm. That is when Lelouch's right hand became engulfed in flames as the militia stood back in caution. Wide-eyed, Lelouch wanted to panic, but after realizing the fire wasn't hurting him, he regains his composure.

"Wha-what is this?", thought Lelouch, who looks at his right hand in curiosity, "What kind on earth just happened?"
"Open fire!", shouts the leader of the militia.

The militia starts to fire open upon Lelouch, who out of instinct, aims his right hand in front of the bullets and release a huge flame that stops the bullets. The bullets drop to the ground, as both Lelouch and the militia look disturbed.

"I-I stopped them! What is this power!?", thought Lelouch, who starting to feel overwhelmed by all the unexpected events.
"Keep firing!", commands the leader.
The militia opens fire again, but Lelouch stops them with his fire again, earning a smirk on his face, "I don't know what happening, but it seems I could get use to this.".
"Keep firing!", commands the leader, as none of the bullets are getting pass the fire, "We're getting nowhere! Call the armor!"

Lelouch takes a deep breath, feeling the force of the fire he is letting out his right hand, release an even bigger fire that engulfs the militia, burning them alive. Before Lelouch can even take a rest and look at the burning scene in front of him, another van came outside the parking lot. This time, a man inside a huge armored suit came out the van, as he looks at his burning comrades with rage.

"You'll pay for that mutie!", yells the big man, who starts charging at Lelouch.
Lelouch responses by firing another huge fire at the armored man, but the armor wasn't affected by it, as the man gloats, " Nice try mutie, but the joints of this armor are made of artificial adamantium. The rest is made of out of stuff to keep fire freaks like you from melting it. Took our entire budget to get this."

The armor fire a beam from its cheat at Lelouch, who barely gets out of the way. The beam hits the ground in front of Lelouch, in which the explosion that sends him in flying to the end of the lot. Lelouch's left side hits the fence, as he tries to get up.

"Damn! If only I can use my Geass on him!", thinks Lelouch, as he starts to feel his eyes burning again.

Lelouch tries to keep the armor away by using his fire, but that barely slowing him. He needed to run, but that beam of his could hit him if he does. He only got lucky the first time and the burning pain in his eyes has returned.

The world starts to slowly turn white to him, he starts to lose the feel of his body, but the pain in his eyes remains. He suddenly sees a bird that flying in the air, which becomes on fire, before he feels his eyes and his Geass. But he feels different like something was replaced.

Suddenly, the fire that Lelouch was firing, turn blue. A wave of blue fire submerges the man in the armor. The man inside thought nothing of it, thinking the armor would protect him from the fire and heat. Until he started feeling his skin warming and a sweat drop coming out his forehead. All the sensors inside start sound the alarm due to "extreme temperature" and "machine malfunctioning". The armor is melting.

"Wh-what the hell! This suit is supposed to be made out of adamantium!", screams the man, "This shit is not supposed to happen!"

The man starts screaming inside the melting armor, as his skin starts to burn. Fortunately for him, the end of his suffering came, when the armor explodes, spreading the blue fire around the empty parking lot. Lelouch just watches as the fiery scenery engulfs around him.

Meanwhile, the mysterious man from earlier, known as Wolverine, had just defeated the militia that first appeared to Lelouch. Wolverine or Logan knew that the militia was really Purifiers, a group of humans who made it their mission to "purify' humanity, by eliminating mutantkind. As Wolverine watches the men on the ground, with slash and puncture wounds on their bodies, he heard the explosion of Purifier's armor.

"That kid better be all right!", grunts Logan as he rushes to the direction of the explosion.

Arrives at the parking lot, Logan sees a sight that he never saw in his long life. Burning bodies, melting metal armor, and a parking lot covered in blue fire. The scent of blue fire is something Logan never smelled. Appearing out of the wave of blue fire is Lelouch with a devilish smile on him. The devillike sight of him caused Logan's claws to pop, with the instinct to defend himself, but as soon as Lelouch walks out of the fire, he collapses to the ground. The blue fire disappears as the alleyway is now just filled with burnt corpses and a semi-melted armor.

"Logan!", shouts someone from a distance.

The voice came from Beast, who appears from above as the X-Men's jet, the Blackbird is right above the parking lot. Beast looks at the sight of burned bodies with disturbance.

"Wha-What on Earth happened?", asks Beast as he sees the melted armor, "Is that… adamantium?"
"I don't know Hank.", responses Wolverine, looking at Lelouch's unconscious body, "All I do know is that this guy dangerous."
