Kiss and Make Up

"You are so useless. You are no help at all. Maybe you really are a stupid ape." The Doctor said.

Rose looked at the Doctor in shock. "What did you just say to me?"

"You heard me. Are you so stupid that you can't comprehend what I'm saying?" The Doctor asked in agitation.

"No. I hear very well, thank you. You haven't called me a stupid ape for a long time. Why now?" Rose asked.

"Well, you completely ruined my escape plan and almost got us killed. You deserved it."

"We all make mistakes, Doctor. You are not Mr. Perfect Time Lord yourself! You of all people should know what it's like to make mistakes!" Rose remarked.

"At least I know how to own up to my mistakes! I'm going to own up to one now! You were a big mistake!" The Doctor yelled.

Rose was stunned speechless at the blow that gave her. "I didn't know I was such a burden to you!"

"You didn't? I can't go anywhere without you wandering off, and me having to save you!"

"Yeah, well, my wandering off has gotten us out of many dyer situations. And you said that you enjoyed rescuing me." Rose cried.

"I lied." The Doctor spat.

"Fine! Take me home!" Rose said.

The Doctor stopped in his tracks and looked up at Rose. "What?"

"If I'm such baggage to you, take me home and I will relieve you of the burden." Rose walked out of the console room. "I'm going to pack."

The Doctor turned to the console to punch in coordinates, all the while thinking to himself. 'We all make mistakes. Right. Take her to see the stars and what does she do? She thinks that she's the most important person in the universe. Well she can think again because she's not.' A zap from the TARDIS told him otherwise.

Yes she is.

Meanwhile, Rose was in her room packing. 'Who does he think he is. Mr. I've got a sonic screwdriver so I'm in charge. My ship so your opinion does not matter to me. He does not care about me at all. Fine. I'll just go back to my mum.'

After her anger died away, Rose realized that she did not want to go home. She just sat on the bed and cried. She felt so bad about what she said, but felt so hurt by what the Doctor had said.

The Doctor had calmed down, and felt horrible. He had yelled at Rose. How could he yell at Rose. 'I better go talk to her and apologize to her. I don't want her to leave me.' He walked down the hallway, and to her door. He raised his hand to knock, but was met with the sound of Rose crying. He could hear her sobbing, and couldn't help but feel terrible. He couldn't take it anymore and walked into her room.

Rose looked up at the Doctor. Her eyes were rimmed red from crying. The Doctor looked at the pain he had caused his favorite pink and yellow human.

"Doctor, I'm so sorry I yelled at you. I understand if you hate me, and want to take me home. I do want to tell you though that I am so, so sorry." Rose said with tears steadily running down her cheeks.

The Doctor pulled her into an embrace. "Rose, I'm sorry too. I really don't want you to go home. I… I love… I love you, Rose."

"Doctor, I love you too. Right now I am promising my forever to you. You'll have to kick me out to get rid of me." Rose wiped away tears. "I do want to do something with you."

"Anything, love." The Doctor said, stroking her hair.

Rose leaned in and gave him a sweet and gentle kiss on the lips. When she pulled away, she looked into his eyes. "That is what you call kissing and making up."

"I like that. Let's keep making up then." The Doctor kissed her again. Rose made a sound against his lips that sounded something like:

"Mmmmmmm yum."

The Doctor just grinned. "Let's try not to have to kiss under these circumstances, alright. Let's just kiss for fun."

"Sounds good to me." Rose said and they kissed again.
