CHAPTER 9

How to Plan a Wedding

It wasn't even two o'clock in the afternoon and Sherlock with Lestrade were already sitting behind some bushes. Almost all around them was the forest and right in front of them was that big warehouse. Sherlock was sure that that was the place where John was held captive. It looked really old, probably not used in a couple of decades. So why would anyone even go in there? Perfect place to hide. But as Moriarty said himself, he probably wanted to be found, so all of this could be just a trap and John could be long gone, in a different place. Sherlock just hoped that it wasn't true.

He could barely think about anything else but John. Was he alive? Was he tortured? Was he even here? He just needed to see him to assure his love of his life was still breathing. But he had to stay focused. He looked at the warehouse, but he couldn't see anybody outside. No guards then. It had to be a trap. And it if was a trap, it would be better if one of them stayed there, so if something happened to him the other one could call help, or go and help him himself.

"I'll go there alone," Sherlock said and slowly stood up.

"What?" Lestrade hissed quietly. "Are you insane?! it's a trap!" He grabbed Sherlock's coat.

"Yes, I know, that's why I'm gonna go there alone." And he went forward, with his gun in hand. Lestrade sighed. That guy was going to be the death of him one day. But what could he do right now?

Sherlock was slowly moving closer towards the warehouse. There really was no guard he could see. At least not outside. It had to be a trap if John was even there. With every minute, he was worrying more about John and he wanted to see his face more than before. By the time he finally reached the warehouse, he noticed that the door was opened.

A trap, then. Definitely.

The gap in between the door was big enough for him to go through,so he went inside without even having to touch the door. As soon as his eyes adjusted to the darkened room, his eyes widened and he ran forward, because in the middle of the warehouse was a chair and John was tied to it. He had a gag in his mouth, so he couldn't speak. As soon as Sherlock was beside him, he put the gag away and smiled at him.

"I'm sorry, John," he blurted out, "I should have watched out for you. Especially when Moriarty was threatening you. It's all my fault." He said, not even thinking that he has just confirmed that John was that 'mysterious boyfriend' and he kept staring into John's eyes. John smiled.

"I knew it was me. I knew I was your boyfriend." He said quietly. Sherlock smiled at him too.

"I knew you couldn't be that stupid."

"On the other hand," Moriarty's voice said behind Sherlock's back, "you are." He laughed. Sherlock's face frowned and he turned around, only to stare into Moriarty's smirking face. "Finally," Moriarty smiled, "Prince Charming went to save his damsel in distress." The first thing Sherlock noticed was that Moriarty had a gun. He was pointing at him with it and still smirking, thinking how smart he was. And maybe he really was, but not smarter than Sherlock. Not smarter than Sherlock Holmes. Because Sherlock wasn't unarmed, he'd be incredibly stupid if he was. He had a gun of his own.

But the worst thing wasn't that Moriarty had a gun. The worst thing was just about to come.

"Sherlock?" He heard John saying from behind him. Sherlock kept his gun aimed at Moriarty's head and slightly looked behind at John. His eyes widened. No, not again, he thought as he saw a little red light right in the middle of John's forehead. This happened before at the pool. But then Moriarty's call saved them. And now? Who or what could possibly save them now?

"I see you finally know who Sherlock's boyfriend is. Congrats, John." Moriarty laughed and looked at them. "So adorable." He whispered.

"What do you want?" Sherlock asked.

"Isn't that obvious?" Moriarty said. "Apparently I'm the smartest man alive and I don't want to have any competition. So I should probably just kill you." He looked at Sherlock and mused. "No, What fun would that be? I'd have no one to play with."

"You call this playing?" John asked angrily.

"Don't you see?" Moriarty looked at John. "I want to have an enemy, it's so boring when you have no one to kill or to chase." He said. "I want to kill you and ruin your life, but slowly. This is just one of many next times we see each other, Sherlock."

"Don't you think we'll let you go." Sherlock said.

"Don't you think I," Moriarty yelled, "will let you go!" He laughed again. "Sorry, but it's just so funny! You have a gun, I have five guns. Here is one," he pointed at his gun in his hand, "And there are the others." He looked up and another three red lights appeared on Sherlock's chest. "You have to free you boyfriend, but I don't have to do anything. I can just go away and you can't stop me. You simply can't." He said. "Well, unless that stupid detective inspector outside saves you of course. And yes, I know about him the whole time." Moriarty said. He knew Lestrade was waiting outside. It was just a part of his plan. He wanted to have fun, not to kill his only enemy at the first opportunity, he'd soon get bored then.

Suddenly they all heard a sound of helicopter. It was landing just in front of the warehouse. Moriarty smiled. "So someone came to stop me then, nice." Sherlock looked at John and then back at Moriarty. "That would be Mycroft, just as planned." Moriarty said. Sherlock and John looked up. The lights from the helicopter were shining at them through the damaged roof. When they looked back, Moriarty was gone.

Suddenly the door opened and Lestrade came in."Sherlock!" He called and as soon as he was in, he took his gun and looked around. "Mycroft is here, I called him." He said. Suddenly a red light appeared on Lestrade's chest. "You have to be kidding me." He said. He didn't come in just to be killed in the first few seconds.

"Why did you come in? Are you totally stupid?" Sherlock called. "Moriarty was here."

"You were gone for too long, I was worried." Lestrade said and rolled his eyes. The red lights suddenly disappeared and Sherlock immediately knelt before John to untie him. As soon as he was free, he hugged him and kissed him. It was the first time he has ever kissed someone. And it was amazing. They both smiled into the kiss until John deepened it,pulling Sherlock even closer. They parted and looked at each other, panting.

"Wow," Lestrade said and whistled. "I really didn't expect that." He smiled. "Well, congrats you two, but now we have to go." He said and turned around. The door opened again and Mycroft with ten armed soldiers came in.

"It's alright, Mycroft!" Sherlock called. "He's gone. Moriarty's gone."

"He got away?" Mycroft asked, incredulous. He wanted to catch him, at least for once. But when he looked at John and Sherlock's entwined hands, he immediately waved his hand at his soldiers and they went away. As soon as they left, he closed the door behind them and turned to his little brother and his... apparently boyfriend. He smiled. He knew it! It really was John!

"Well," Mycroft said, "I've heard something... Mrs Hudson called me." As soon as Sherlock heard it, he sighed. Lestrade just nodded - he got that call from Mrs Hudson too. "I heard you were getting married, you and... John." Mycroft asked with his eyebrows raised. Sherlock opened his mouth, but for the first time in his life, he had no idea what to say.

"And you know what?" John suddenly said, smiled, squeezed Sherlock's hand in his and looked at him, "We are." And with that he grabbed Sherlock's tie, pulled him down and kissed him once again. This time it wasn't as shy as before though, this time it was to show Sherlock all the love he felt.

And Sherlock knew he felt it too.

*The End*

I'm going to end it here, because if I were about to write the wedding, it'd take me forever and who knows if I'd even write it. I have no time at all for writing right now, I'm ill so I will have to catch up with school and all of my free time is given to another fanfiction I write now.

I hope you enjoyed this story even though I'd let you wait for so long.

See you in my next stories! :)
