a/n: Hey, The Originals Fans! I've never written a fanfiction for this show before. So I'm excited to be posting this. This is based off of episode 1x20. It is a short little one-shot. I just really needed to write some Klayley, because of all the adorable Klayley moments in the episode. So please be honest with your comments and tell me if I wrote the characters right and everything. I hope you enjoy.

"This isn't real, I'm dreaming"

"On the contrary darling this is very real"

"Welcome to my hell"

Hayley screamed and jumped up from the bed. Her heart beat a million beats per second. She panicked in the dark, searching the room for Mikeal. She tried to keep her breathing in control, while she felt her heart was going to beat out of her chest. She protectively wrapped her arm around her stomach. She remembered fearing for her life. Also, more importantly the life of her daughter.

"Little wolf" Klaus called out. He sound full of fierceness and concern. His fangs gleamed as he entered the room, ready to come in battle with anything. He was by Hayley before she even had time to process his arrival. "Hayley" he said softly, taking a seat next to her on the bed. "Are you hurt?" he scanned her body for any physical scars.

"He wanted to hurt her Klaus" Hayley said as a single tear strolled down her cheek. She rubbed her stomach. "He wanted her dead" Klaus automatically knew what she was refering to. Klaus moved a piece of hair from Hayley's face tucking it behind her ear. "You're alright love, you're alright" He promised whispering the same words to her as he did after her battle with Mikeal. Her heart was still racing, but she felt a sense of comfort.

"You and our daughter are safe, under my protection" He wiped away her tear. "Nobody will ever hurt either of you" Hayley recongized both the fierceness and the softness to his voice. Hayley layed back down. "No worries love, when our daughter it born, this war will be over. She'll grow up pure and innocent. She will be free to dream and be happy" Klaus said, filling Hayley up with hope for their daughter. Hayley then realized that both her and Klaus wanted the same thing for their daughter. All they wanted was to give her everthing they never had. They wanted her to have a beautiful and memorable childhood.

Hayley gave Klaus a small smile. Klaus got up from the bed. "Um...Klaus" Hayley called into the darkness. "Can you sleep here tonight?" Klaus was shocked by Hayley's vulnerability. Hayley shocked herself as well. But blamed it on the pregnancy. Klaus layed down next to her. Klaus put her arm protectively around Hayley's stomach and Hayley. He moved her slightly, she snuggled closer to Klaus.

"Goodnight Klaus" Hayley said as she drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

Klaus gave her a light kiss on cheek. "Goodnight little wolf"
