Inspired by external forces XD. I'm new to this and english isn't my first language so I'd appreciate some help. Set in a reincarnation type setting where one of them wanted to end things in a past life. You don't always get what you want but you get what you need. Eren x Mikasa eremika mikaere.

Her name was now something shorter.

His name was now something longer.

Her hair was now a comforting brown.

His hair was now a cold black.

She now wore a necklace. The piece of jewelry was green. She did not know why but the color soothed her.

A red scarf wrapped around his neck. He wore it every time he came back to this cruel but beautiful world. Doing so was the only way he could remember her. He thought that he would forget her if he took it off since he had severed their red string of fate in a past life. He thought.

The sun was blazing in the sky. She spotted a boy wearing a red scarf. Why is he wearing something like that? It's far too hot for someone to wear a scarf. She thought to herself. She felt a sudden need to pry it off of the poor man.

He stopped two meters away from her. He stared at her and smiled. He hid his face in the scarf after doing the gesture. He tried to walk away.

He never made it far.

She didn't know why but she didn't hesitate. Grabbing the scarf by the edge, she yanked it hard. The man was surprised. He put up a fair bit of resistance and held to his scarf with all his strength.

"Take it off! It's too hot out! I won't let you pass out from the heat!" She didn't know why she cared about him so much.

"Stop babying me Mikasa! I can take care of myself" He screamed.

He realized what he did, what he was about to do and what she was doing.

"Eren..." She suddenly found her ears pressed against his chest. Listening.

Badump. His heartbeat gave her a feeling of comfort. She did not know why.

Their red string of fate rose to life. The two separate strands first formed a knot then became one. It was renewed.

Memories came back. Past Lives, The Scarf, A promise and scores of other things came rushing back in one raging torrent.

He had let her go once, in a past life, but this time he held her tight. "Something like this, I'll wrap it around you as many times as you want." He whispered into her ear.

She felt it being wrapped around her. The heat no longer mattered. Their lips met. Then they both heard the words.

"You may cut me as many times as you want but I will always come back. I know what makes you happy and what you need."

They were whole again.
