AN: Just a short little piece I suddenly came up with. Enjoy :)

Batman was sitting in the conference room surrounded by his fellow leaguers when there was a knock on the door.
"We're in a meeting," Batman called out gruffly.
The door opened to reveal a nine-year-old, cherub-faced Robin.
"Batman, it's really important."
Batman looked at his young protégé in concern. "Is something wrong?"
Robin shook his head and walked further into the room. "I have to ask you something, and you have to tell me the truth."
Batman turned his full attention to Robin. He was rarely this serious, and he had captured the rest of the league's attention as well.
"Where do babies come from?" Robin asked.
Batman froze. He literally stopped breathing for about ten seconds as he stared at his nine-year-old boy and a dozen thoughts ran through his head. He saw out of the corner of his eye, some leaguers bite their lips or cover their mouths to keep from laughing at the Dark Knight's situation.
Batman, trying to buy some time, asked slowly, "What made you curious all of a sudden?"
Robin replied promptly, "Speedy said he was excited that he wouldn't have to do much work in one class because his teacher was knocked up. When I asked him what that meant, he said she was going to get a delivery from the stork. When I asked him what that meant, he said that the stork is bringing her a baby. Is that really where babies come from?"
Batman cursed Roy Harper in his head and turned slightly toward Green Arrow, who sank deeper into his seat. Oliver was going to get an earful latter, but what would Batman tell Robin now?
Robin was waiting patiently for an answer, staring up at Batman with large eyes.
Robin said that Batman had to tell him the truth, but how does he explain to a nine-year-old boy how babies are made? Batman prided himself on being prepared for everything, but he was definitely not ready for this.
Robin had provided him a way out though. Batman might be lying now, but Robin was too young to know the truth just yet, so…
"That's absolutely right, Robin," Batman replied, giving a small nod.
This didn't seem to be what Robin wanted to hear though, because his brow furrowed and his bottom lip stuck out in a pout.
"But when my teacher was pregnant last year, I looked it up in a book and it said that babies are made when a man sticks his penis up a girl's vagina. Then a little tadpole goes inside an egg and it grows into a baby in her stomach for nine months. I asked Roy if he was sure that babies are brought by a stork and he said he was, so I thought I'd ask you because you know everything. I guess Roy was right though. Whoever wrote that book needs to get their facts straight."
With that, Robin turned around and exited the room, closing the door softly behind him. Every leaguer simply stared at the closed door, some with their mouths gaping open.
Superman looked over at the Dark Knight, who seemed to be in a trance.
"Batman?" Superman asked quietly.
Batman's face was blank as he turned around to properly face the table. With exact movements, Batman pressed several buttons to bring up some files on the individual monitors in front of each leaguer.
"And here you'll see that LexCorp has flooded their R&D department with new funding; however," Batman droned on with his report.
In the back corner of the table, Hal Jordan leaned over to whisper in Flash's hear. "You better send me a copy of that." He nodded down to the phone in Flash's hand that he had pulled out the second Robin had said he needed a truthful answer to the question he was about to ask. Flash had recorded everything up until Superman had snapped Batman out of his daze.
"Don't worry," Flash grinned. "I'm going to send this to everyone! But first I have to make back-ups, and then back-ups for my back-ups."
Hal nodded understandably and focused on what Batman was droning on about for the rest of the meeting.
