Chapter 51- The Banner of Revolution
"That's it!" Yuya shouted, throwing his pen down in disgust. "I refuse to do my homework! I'm not going to do it!"
"That's why you should have done it when it was set, two months ago," I said dryly, binding my project together into its folder. "You have… 10 hours before sensei asks for it tomorrow." I glanced up at the clock. Yuya groaned, slamming his face down on his work comically.
"That 20 page project isn't going to do itself," I told him, as I placed my work in my bag and looked over at him. It was late. We were the last few people left in the school library. It was dark outside and the place was completely silent.
"I'm not going to do it!" Yuya snarled, glaring at the paper.
"Yuya!" I hissed.
"But I don't know anything about the French revolution!" Yuya wailed, shifting through his notes. "How am I supposed to write this stupid thing?"
"Well, if you had actually listened in lessons, this would be a very simple task because you are literally just writing down everything sensei said in class," I grabbed the work out from under him to read what he had done so far. He had written an impressive paragraph about the guillotine but not much else.
"I don't remember anything he said about this," Yuya scratched his head. "I swear he has never even mentioned a revolution!"
"That's because you've been using your desk as a bed lately!" I sighed. "Look, if you are so desperate, write really big and just put the basic facts!"
"I know! Let's have a revolution!"
I nearly fell out my seat. I looked at him, with an 'are-you-kidding-me?' face. "Seriously?"
"Yeah!" Yuya's eyes lit up, as he punched the air, suddenly the most animated I had seen him all day. "We revolt against the teachers and duel all day and leave early!"
"And how do you suppose we do that?" I asked, folding my arms, my eyebrow twitching.
"I dunno… Not do our homework?"
"That's not a revolt, that's just being lazy. We'd all be in detention for hours and for nothing; which is where you're going if you don't hurry up and start writing."
He muttered something, pulling some paper out from under my arms and began scribbling frantically, covering the paper in scrawls. Then, he moved onto a new page and began writing even bigger.
"Yuya, what are you writing-?"
He held it up in the air, his toothy grin appearing as he held his 'banner' up in the air. The 'No Homework Revolution!' was emblazoned on it in blotchy blue biro. "I'll copy it and stick it up all over-"
I pulled my fan out and smacked it over his head, successfully ripping his poster in half.
"The. French. Revolution." I snarled, slamming my finger down on every word on Yuya's work. He sighed and began to write again. "Baka."
Cat: Hope you enjoyed! :) Please review! I read every one!
Rena: The question!
Continuing with the Karaoke theme XD Pick two characters that don't get along. Imagine everyone forcing them to sing a really cheesy duet! Who would they be and what song would they be forced to sing?
Thanks for your patience guys, i know i have really slowed down lately.
