Tigress gave an order and everybody obeyed. But those words she used sounded almost like a permission to wipe them out to the knot...unless they surrender. Monkey had the controls of the APC's heavy machine gun. Like he said, the controls were easy, it looked like a console controler split in half, with a big screen showing camera image from the gun, installed between those two parts. This whole thing was mounted on a special 'arm' which could be hidden to the side of the seat.

The interrior was simple, though solid and comfortable with all the basic stuff contained inside - single-weapon lockers between the seats and strongboxes for other equipment underneath them and also hidden TV screen where all the data and objectives are occasionaly shown. Total darkness was removed by four yellow laps giving bright, yet warm light.

Monkey had his fingers ready above the fire and zoom triggers and his thumbs rotating the controller sticks to aim at the enemies. His eyes scanned the screen. Okay, the image is perfect...wait, it began to move, and the engine began to work louder again. Yes, the APC moved forward...turtle speed. The primate hit the trigger responsible for 3x zoom and began searching for targets. First one found, one of the humans near the burning SUV, knocked by the blast. Quick aim adjustment and the crosshair was right in the middle of the target. He pulled the fire trigger and just observed as series of bullets hit the target. First two with ease dropped his already weakened shiled, in addition, the force of those rounds knocked him to the ground again...the rest meet no resistance from his body armor and just made a bloody mess of his guts.

He searched for another target. Found it, but it looked like they finally learned what the hell just happened, for his target and his other companions in hurry made their way for cover...yet before they made it, Monkey squeezed the trigger and sent bullets, killing this human. Another one tried to hide, now passing his freshly killed buddy, only couple meters to cover, just couple meters...No. Before he made it, before even Monkey opened fire, his head was pierced by a sniper rifle round.

"Hey Leona, that's a kill-steal!" Monkey delicately complained on team radio.

"Oooops! Sorry...hehehehehe." she ended her answer with a laughter of mockery under her breath.

Monkey just shook his head smiled lightheartly and searched for another one. Now this wasn't that easy, all of those humans have hidden behind the covers, that is cars and the least he could do now was to secure this short run of his teammates. He picked two closest spots where his foes were hiding and began to lay controled fire at them, one at the time, briefly switching from first to second spot, preventing the agressors from sticking out their heads.

Monkey tried his best but he couldn't shoot everywhere. Out of the corner of his screen he noticed in the further distance a human moving from his cover with a pipe-looking thing on his shoulder. Oh no, that was bad. Instantly he moved his crosshair onto him.

"Oh shit! Driver! Enemy AT guy! Look out!" Monkey outbursted in a yell in one and short breath, also to the radio giving to know his comrades to grow their distance between them and Grendel. Driver just quickly hit the button responsible for activating ADS without any questions. The small module on the vechicle turret lit green what meant that the generator began working and the defense was active. Said generator was creating around the vechicle an slightly visible barier that was stopping all incoming explosives and was letting through outgoing ones. But due to it's energy consumption it only worked for a limited period of time before shutting down to regenerate. In the same moment the primate aimed at this AT soldier and fired...

...so this soldier did.

The rocket he fired in a flash closed its distance to APC, and in a flash it exploded three meters in front of it, hitting the barrier. It's not like the vechicle armor was bad, but none of them wanted to check on how effective human rockets are.

"First real combat test eh." Monkey joked, not looking away from his screen.

"Passed, but I hope we won't have to use it very often." feline driver responded.

"If we kill before they shoot then we won't." canine gunner added with a smirk on his muzzle.

"That's also a good way." Mantis just commented under his breath..

Meanwhile.

While Monkey was giving cover fire, Tigres with Po, Koshi and Nicky sprinted towards the first car of this mass of them on this roadcrossing. They reached it within short seconds. With this moment they gained good cover, with this moment fight began on short distance. Tigress peeked slightly her head up to take a look at the situation ahead. Quick moment and she knew what to do. They left behind the APC a little bit and her minimap showed that Amari and girls still stayed near it. She turned to Po and Nicky.

"Guys, have some fun and lay covering fire at everywhere where they are hiding." she looked at the right side of the street and spotted a minivan with its side turned towards humans. "Ready. Now!"

"Okay" Po and Nicky responded in unison with a shrug, then leaned out from cover with their LMGs and just started to fire like crazy at every human hiding spot. Many cars ahead of them gained new holes, open windows and flat tires. "Amari, your way is clear. Sprint to that minivan ahead of you!" Tigress called her on radio...or rather yelled to be hearable in that shooting.

"Yeah, okay I see it!" the cheetach responded cooly.

Tigress patted Koshi on the shoulder "Yeah?" he asked

The stripped feline just smirked at him "Follow me." then moved to the left with Koshi following in her tracks. The car they were taking cover behind seconds before, was sticking to the column of parked cars neighbouring with the sidewalk. Tigress with Koshi walked on the sidewalk, still crouching. The long line of sedans and compacts gave them a nice cover...but they didn't stopped on this, Tigress wanted to flank and eliminate humans, clostest to their position, that Monkey was shooting at. They kept on moving until they had the flank of their targets completely uncovered...and their targets were focused more on staying literally in one piece to have any clue about a duo on their side.

"Are you ready?" She asked the wolf.

"I'm ready." he responded with a nod.

"Good. On my mark. Three. Two. One. Mark!" with the word 'mark' they leaned out the both ends of a sedan they were behind, both with their DMRs prep'ed and ready. They saw three humans crouching behind a car, about four meters before them. Without a second thought Tigress with Koshi opened fire and cought them completely off-guard. All three of them were dead before they could even react. The side of the car they were hiding behind was pointed towards the rest of the Furious team but not to the wolf and tiger.

No time for feasting. There was another two enemies, same situation- they were pinned down, further to the right side of the street. It appeared that they have learned about their presence. Tigress saw as one of them lifted his gun in her direction. She and Koshi reacted instantly, but all three of them pulled the trigger with diffirent results for both sides. Human and his buddy ended up dead, while sedan that Tigress and Koshi used for cover gained some holes.

Some Humans further, in the middle of the roadcrossing decided to shoot back...but it was diffirent story if it was accurate.

Topaz 6 stayed out of the action for this short moment, to move their wounded buddy to their medic inside the building they have bunkered in,and to reload and catch thier so much needed breath. But the break was already too long. Sarge decided to fight back. He quickly came up with a basic plan and began to give orders to his men.

Two at the courtyard had to watch Tigress and Koshi, who now moved more further. Both LMG soldiers on the balcony in the atrium were to fire at hostiles...but on order, the other three stayed to help their wounded. Sarge with his three teammates at the enterance went outside at the courtyard and turned left towards the street, the one to the to the left when turning on the roadcrossing, they also took flanking manouvers. They reached that street and took firing positions.

"Lieutenant Tigress! We moved to your left, we will attack from our end." sarge informed

Tigress turned her head to the left and noticed them "I see you, but hold your fire, just take good shooting positions. We will force them to retreat and you will shoot any runers that that will came into your view."

"Solid copy. We will wait, but my gunners in the building can help in pushing them back."

"Affirmative." she then switched on her team canal "Okay people, time to put some things into life. Po, Nicky, Amari sprint to next cover! But keep you heads down!"

And they did. Po with Nicky sprinted towards next cover on their side, Amari, Yan and Meixiu did the same on their side. Humans quicky used this moment to shoot back. Yan right before reaching her cover took some rounds, but her shield just shrugged them off. She managed to notice who tried to kill her. She leaned out with her assault rifle and fired in the direction of her attacker, but he hid behind a van he was using for cover.

Stubborn as tigers can be, she didn't let go "Oh yeah? Hide behind this, biotch!" she thrown a grenade at him. It landed near the van, just few feets away from him.

BOOM! Both he and the vechicle were obliberated.

Now it was time for second part of Tigress' plan "Tell your gunners to start firing." she said to Topaz 6 "Bolt 9 get loud and shoot at them!" and to Bolt 9.

And so those gunners began to fire from inside towards the enemy.

"Roger that! Firing!" the Grendel's turret aimed at the enemy and began to fire in four round bursts. Also Monkey decided to squeeze the trigger...afterall he was in the APC too.

Koshi peeked his head up to just take a look. His green eyes meet the sight of four 30mm frag rounds, with that blueish hue given by magnetic (or also 'mass) accelerator, impacting on some car with a devastating effect. But this wasn't the only thing he saw "Hey, hey Tigress I think they're retreating!"

She also peeked her head up. Yeah they were, and now they both noticed some growing clouds of smoke between them and the enemies "Yup, and they're poping up smoke!" Now this was time for the final part of her plan "Now it's time for the final push! Everybody after them! Viper, Mantis, it now your turn!"

Outnumbered and outgunned, pounded by the APC, humans decided to fall back under the cover of very old-fashioned smoke grenades. They just began to run, before the clouds fully blocked the visibilty of Furious 3, one of them fell dead killed by a sniper. Now there was only ten of them, still running, unaware of four furians on their left, who now opened fire. Correction, now there was only 7 of them left. They didin't gone much further.

Before them, from a corner flew a small drone which instanlty began shooting at them. They were surprised. After while first from the surviving group was dead, then the drone fled closer to them and started doing some crazy manouvers, but not because Mantis sucked at flying this, Oh NO...He was just taking of any possible attention from Viper who quickly yet silently slithered out from the same corner.

Viper used the advantage of being not detected and took a second to get to know her surroundings in order to play this samrt. And this smart play came into her view. She coiled herself around the nearest street lantern and slithered upwards, gaining good shooting position. Her scale-like armor, thanks to brilliant projectants, didn't affected her mobility giving her protection at the same time.

"Mantis, switch back to shooting." Viper told him through radio.

"You have good spot?"

"Yep. On a lantern."

"Frag time then!" his crazy flying prevented his drone from being taken down. He loosened a bit this air madness to be able to lay more accurate fire. As soon as Mantis resumed his attack, Viper followed.

Attacked from two directions by the enemy they couldn't hit or see, with a big chace behind them, humans stood no chance. Afraid of what might happen to them when they would surrender, they didn't gave up.

Furious 3 with Tigress on the lead were making their way through the slowly disappearing cloud of smoke. They made it quickly, but not quickly enough to meet any hostiles alive. Mantis with Viper eliminated all of them. With no purpouse of going further at this moment, the chase has stopped. Viper jumped on the ground from the streetlantern and joined the rest of her team.

"Allright everybody, let's meet with Topaz on courtyard." the leader of the Furious 3 called.

Courtyard, moments later.

Both teams have meet at the place, but this wasn't an royal meeting. No saluting or standing in perfect lines. Furious 3 and Topaz 6 asets just stood in groups behind their own leaders, but only for a short while before spreading out.

Tigress and Sarge, who took off his helmet, walked up to each other. It appeared to be that he was a hybird, which was something completely normal for hundreds of years. He had a body of a lynx though, but his fur was white with stripy, tiger-like fur pattern, and his tail was about three times longer than ususal lynx have.

They shaked hands.

"I'm Seregant Wayne Mayers." Sarge introduced himself.

"Lt. Tigress."

"I'll pass on the ado Lieutenant. These are good people, and you've saved them. You have my thanks." Tigress took a quick look at his men, who also have taken off their helmets. They were dogs,'house' cats and other cats such as ocelot and serval.

"I'm just glad we made it in time. You said earlier on radio that you have wounded, how bad is it?

"Yes, we have six wounded." he looked at the building behind him letting a heavy sigh, then looked back at Tigress, concern clearly visible in his eyes "My medics patched them. They are stable, but it would be best for them to get to the hospital before anything changes for worse. Especially now, as the LZ is clear."

"I see." Tigress contacted the command on the radio "Overlord, this is Furious 3. Status update. We've helped Topaz 6 but they have some wounded who need to be transported to hospital. Over."

"Copy that Furious 3, we will send dropship on your location. ETA six minutes."

"Understood. Furious 3 Out." her attention again traveled to Mayers "I'm guessing you know what's happening?"

"Yeah, they are invading us. We were warned just moment before that fucking ship appeared. There was about six hundred troopers send to this city earlier, to accompany police. This building behind me is...or was our outpost. Ten of us were here and another ten, including me, patroling the area. We were returning back to change when, suddenly, some places exploded somewhere on the other side of the river, deep in the city and the alarm sounded off."

Sarge sighed and took a short moment to compose his thoughts "This was total chaos here, but...but thankfully, every civilain in this area managed to escape, or get to his family and then escape. In like twenty minutes this whole place was empty, right before they came." he shook his head slightly, a pinch of mental hurt came to him "One of their dropships in a fly-by took out three of my men with rocket then wounded another three...then their ground forces pinned us down. You know the rest of the story."

"About the other side of the river...your team is going with us."

"Overlord told us to accompany you. So what's the next step?"

"In theory it sounds quite simple. We have to reqroup with other teams on our flanks at the Benton bridge and cross it, then get to enemy AA's, which are keeping evac shuttles on the ground, and neutralize them."

"Sounds good. I'll spread the news to my men."

Also Tigress returned to her team. Some one's awareness of the background was awoken when out of nowhere, rather loud 'poom-poom' noise reached their ears, making them turn their heads towards the direction from where that sound came. Moment later there was another one.

With Amari, Meixiu, Po and Mantis.

"That was quite close, I wonder what was it?" Po asked.

"I think I know what it was..." Amari answered, still looking in the direction from which that sound came.

Mantis jumped on Po's shoulder "Really? What?"

She turned her sight for the bug and smirked "Mei Ling," she reached her via radio "-we're hearing that you're having some fun with the tank, eh?"

"Amari? Oh, you have no idea. That 'BOOM' was the enemy SUV."

"Oh yeah! But I'm guessing that was short story."

"Short, but nice. I wish you have seen that. This SUV was blown away just as quickly as it showed up!"

"Hey! Now you're just teasing me! Though yeah...I wish I could've seen that." Amari got a bit dreamily on this point.

"Maybe a little."

Amari mouthed an 'excuse me' to the trio before her and walked off couple of meters away "Say, do anyone of the tank crew feel tired or somethin'?..."

Meixiu facepalmed and shaked her head with a snicker plastered on her muzzle "Why I'am not surprised?"

"She won't miss any chance to drive something bigger, will she?" Po asked, holding a lighthearted laughter.

"Nahh, I don't think she will." Meixiu answered.

"And what do you like?" Mantis asked, if not somewhat kinky.

Meixiu must've catched that because she decided to play this, this second longer, and answered him in the same way "Me? Oh, I liiiike boys." They all three laughed at that until Meixiu winked at them holding a wide grin, before leaving them, but while passing Po she looked at him and added "Fluffeh ones the most."

Completely baffled Po and Mantis just looked at each other with expression of a dummy then, Po having Mantis on his shoulder, turned around and looked back at the snow leopardess.

"Oh man, looks like Tigress have a competitor." Mantis commented...or rather mumbled under his breath.

"Huh?"

"Oh nothing, Po." Mantis waved at him then jumped off of his shoulder.

A/N: Sorry for the wait, but I had little motivation through this time to sit down and write something, most of this chap. I've written back on holidays xD And also drawing and school took the priority, so writing have taken the 2nd place.

The fact that I'm in the last year of high shool, means that very soon I will have a ton of shitload of studying, so I doubt that I will have much time to write sth in short amount of time.
