Demyx stood in front of the Administration building. His shirt was soaked with Vodka and it smelled strong. He wrinkled his nose as he walked toward the front doors.
They were happy, a freedom that filled Demyx with elation, but the second he stepped off the staircase, everything fell away. The man stood across from him and everyone else had gone still, staring at him with the same fear that ran in Demyx's mind.
"What are you doing here?" he asked, finding his voice.
He stepped closer, but it made everyone else move in toward Demyx. "I came...to see you."
"You saw me," Demyx said, his voice hard, his chest tight, "for a week, you saw me and you still won't leave me alone. Why can't you leave me alone?"
"Because I want you." His smile twitching at the corner of his lips.
"Disgusting," Roxas commented.
"No shit," Larxene said.
Sora eased closer to Riku. "No wonder you guys want to get rid of him, he's fucking creepy."
Demyx shook his head, he was exhausted at feeling scared, he moved past Luxord and Axel who were blocking his way. "I want you to leave," he said calmly, meeting his eyes, "I broke up with you three years ago and to be honest, I shouldn't have been with you. I was a kid, I didn't know any better, and you did nothing but fuck with me. So I want you to leave."
Xigbar shook his head, "I've come this far," he took out a gun and pointed at Demyx, "and I'm not leaving without you."
Demyx swallowed, his body tense. He knew the others couldn't do anything and he wouldn't let them, this was his problem and it was time for him to deal with it. So he walked toward him, the man that tormented him in his dreams, the man that wouldn't let him have a decent relationship, the man that ruined everything for him.
If he could go back and tell his past self that this man would turn gruesome, he would. He would do anything to save his past self from this terrible future that is his present.
Xigbar reached out and grabbed Demyx's wrist, dragging him forward. "You're mine, like I keep on telling you."
Demyx clenched his teeth, his heart raced and his body was numb. He wanted to cry, to scream, so he could get away from this man.
"Demyx," Larxene yelled, and she flung her bottle at Xigbar. Demyx stepped back as the bottle slammed into the side of Xigbar's face, the liquid splashed on Demyx's shirt. He didn't let his shock stop him as he leaned down once Xigbar had fell, and grabbed the gun that was clenched in his hand.
"Let go, you piece of shit," Demyx said. Axel came next to him and slammed his foot into Xigbar's face, blood oozed from his nose.
Vexen wandered into the room, brows raised, he looked between Larxene, Luxord, Axel and Demyx, then down at Xigbar. "How did he get into the house?"
"We didn't even know he was here in the first place," Luxord told him.
Vexen's brows furrowed. "You guys should leave, Luxord come upstairs with me, we have to grab Zexion before Marluxia does something to him."
Luxord nodded and followed him up the stairs.
Demyx turned, and Xigbar was rising to his feet before lunging for the gun. He grasped Demyx's shirt before Axel kicked him again. He toppled over and hit the end of the couch, pushing it forward.
"Can't you stay down, you asshole," Axel spat.
Demyx stared down at the gun. He knew the right thing to do was to kill him, get rid of him, but his friends were here. He looked at Axel. "I got an idea, get everyone out of the house."
"What are you going to do?"
Demyx glanced at Xigbar, "Taking him back where he belongs. If you want me," Demyx reached down and grasped Xigbar's hair, pulling his head back, "follow me you piece of shit."
Then he was out the door, sprinting fast, he could hear him following, and for once he knew he was doing the right thing. That this was right, he just had to make sure this terrible, brutal, sick man didn't catch him.
His hand tightened on the gun and as he turned, he fired the gun, Xigbar slowed, hiding behind a car. Demyx kept on sprinting, he took out his phone, panting as he spoke to a cab driver to meet him at a store down the street in the next few minutes. When he looked over his shoulder, Xigbar wasn't there and it sent a shudder down his spine.
He made it to the store and the cab was waiting for him. He got in and told them the address of the Administration building. The idea came quick and simple, he knew Xigbar listens to one man and one man only.
That was how he ended up in front of the building, walking toward the glass doors with a gun in his hand. He hid it when he walked through the doors and ambled to the front desk.
"I like to speak with Xemnas."
The man looked up at him, brow arched, he looked a bit older than Demyx and less interested. "You'll have to schedule an appointment."
Demyx rolled his eyes and pointed the gun at him, the man tensed, his eyes widened at the weapon. "I know he's in here, your Superior, tell me where he is." He cocked the gun when the man was reaching for the desk. "What floor is he on?"
"Top floor," the man said, squeezing his eyes shut.
"Thanks," Demyx said, heading for the elevator. He knew the man was going to send security, and when he checked the bullets in the handgun, there were only a few left. "Not enough to get me to him."
The elevator went up and up to the top floor. He hoped Zexion was alright, he hoped Xigbar hadn't gone back to his friends. He just had to hope that everything was going to go right this time. He had to end it.
Once the doors opened, he expected security, but instead he got something worse. Siax and Xaldin stood in front of him with their guns pointed at him.
"I'm not leaving here without speaking to Xemnas," Demyx told them, tightening his hold on the gun.
"The Superior would actually like to meet you," Siax said, they stepped back and let Demyx come out, but the second he stepped from the elevator. Siax reached for his wrist, spun him around and slammed him against the wall. Xaldin wrenched the gun from his hand.
"Now that you're not armed," Xaldin said, "you can meet the Superior."
Demyx clenched his teeth as Siax yanked him forward. They lead him down the hall, both of them holding his arms. They came to a door and Xaldin pushed it open. It was an all white room with a wide window across from him. There was a long table, and at the end of the table sat a long silver haired man with deep amber eyes, he wore a black and grey suit, and when he noticed them, a slow smile that reminded Demyx of Xigbar crept upon his face. This was Xemnas, the leader of the Organization. He now knew why the others obeyed him, he was striking, but he was obviously dangerous.
"Demyx," he said, his voice heavy but sultry. "It's nice to finally meet you. I've heard a lot from Xigbar."
Xaldin pushed him forward and he almost ran into the table. Pressing his fingertips on top, he looked at the man before straightening. "I'm here to ask a request."
Xemnas arched a curious brow. "A request?"
"Order Marluxia and Xigbar away from me and my friends," he pleaded, his mouth dry, as he stared at the man who contemplated his request.
He folded his hands on the table, leaning forward slightly. "I don't do requests. Xigbar is a founder of the Organization, and Marluxia is a stable monitor for Zexion who has disobeyed a direct order."
"Please," Demyx placed his hands on the table, "I'll do anything, please get them away from my friends."
The man was amused, his eyes glinted. "Anything?"
Demyx swallowed, would he do anything to get them away from them? Yes. He would. Even if he had to sell his life away. Demyx nodded. "Yes, anything."
Xemnas looked to Xaldin and Siax. "Retrieve the ones named Axel, Larxene and Roxas, and do grab the others."
Demyx furrowed his brows, he watched as they left before looking back at Xemnas. "What are you doing? Why are they going to get them?"
"You said anything," he said. "Sit. It'll be awhile."
Demyx licked his lips, unsure of what he got his friends into. Demyx stayed standing, watching as the man looked over his files, writing things down, and placing a few papers into a pile on one side of him.
The clock ticked and the room closed in on him. The decision he made collided with his fears, and after awhile of waiting, the doors opened. Not just to Axel, Larxene and Roxas, but Luxord who held Zexion's arm around his shoulders, keeping him up right. Zexion looked at him, his eyes bright, red rimmed, there was something on his neck, small imprints, bluish marks that looked so much like bruises.
"What happened?" he asked, hoping Xigbar hadn't gotten to them when he was rushing here.
"Marluxia," Zexion started, shaking his head, "he attacked me."
Siax and Xaldin entered the room with Marluxia trailing behind, a scowl on his lips, he wouldn't make eye contact with Zexion or Demyx. The others glared at him. The next one to enter was Lexaeus and Vexen.
"Why are we here?" Vexen asked, narrowing a glare at Siax who ignored him.
"We're here," Xemnas said, standing, "because we've been brought a proposition." Demyx shuddered under his scrutinizing gaze. "Xigbar is not here, but his placement here is still relevant," Xemnas continued, looking at all of them.
"What proposition, who are you?" Axel asked.
"Yeah," Larxene said, crossing her arms, "I want to know that too."
Xemnas nodded slowly. "And that will be arranged, but for now we're focused on Demyx and what he asked for."
Axel, Roxas, and Larxene glanced at Demyx, but all he could do was stare at the floor, hands balled into fists at his sides.
"What the hell is going on?" Roxas asked.
"Demyx has asked for the removal of Xigbar, a founder to the Organization."
"You do know he's a fucking predator, right?" Larxene asked.
Xemnas nodded, but he continued even with her interruption. "I'll allow it, and as well with the removal of Marluxia as Zexion's monitor."
"For what?" Axel asked, "What are you getting out of this?"
Demyx closed his eyes, he knew what this man wanted, he knew why they were all here and he signed, not just himself, but his friends to an undeniable fate.
"You're entry into the Organization," Xemnas said, eyes falling on Axel, Larxene and Roxas.
"You're letting them into the Organization?" Marluxia asked, his voice echoed inside the room.
"You got to be kidding me," Larxene said, incredulous of the offer they were given. "You got be fucking kidding me. You want us in the Organization just to get these assholes away from our friends."
"That's the proposition," Xemnas said, sitting down in his chair. "If you don't comply, then I do nothing."
Demyx clenched his teeth, this was their fate wasn't it? A beginning. He didn't mean to stick to the place that housed the man he despised, but here he was, signing his life away.
"I accept," Axel said, he was the first to say it and Demyx opened his eyes and looked at him, shocked by the determination on his face, his gaze heavy on Xemnas. "I accept your proposition."
Larxene straightened, she glared, but her shoulders slumped and with a defeated tone, she said, "I accept as well."
Roxas frowned, "I accept."
And it fell on Demyx's shoulders, the silence covered him, and the days since Xigbar had haunted his life came to a rushing stop. He said he would do anything, and he couldn't take it back. If he has to do this, he will.
With a deep sigh, Demyx raised his head and said, "I accept."
to be continued...
Notes: And that is how I'm ending this story. I really wanted to finish this so I wrote for two days, five or so chapters each. It took some time, and it might be messy, less description because I was rushing, but I finished. :D
There is a sequel which I'll be writing, but it probably won't be for awhile since I'm kind of burned out. Thanks to whoever stayed, and reviewed, I really appreciated it.
