"Genichirooouuu.." chibi Yukimura drawled lazily from Sanada's pocket, eyes half-lidded and a cute bored expression taking over his face, ".. do you have paints or water colours or anything at home?"
The black-haired teen frowned in thought before his facial muscles relaxed slightly, "Ah. I believe Sasuke-kun has left his colors at our home."
The bored expression quickly disappeared after a single blink as a hopeful grin took over and he looked up at the other's face, "Can I use them?"
"Sure."
"Yay~!" the bluenet threw his arms up happily and laughed, "You know, I've always wanted to draw on a canva bigger than me!"
"Oh?"
"Yeah! And, like, fill it with all the colours I want and draw everything!"
Sanada nodded, indicating that he was listening and felt grateful that the last street to home was empty, or else people would freak out if they saw him talking with a doll. A pretty, adorable doll..
He shook his head mentally and focused back on his chibi friend's excited talking about painting and drawing while he pushed the front gates to his house open and entered.
"I'm home." He called and toed off his shoes placing them neatly on the shoe rack. Kyoko came to welcome him and ask about their day like usual, but the first thing she did after greeting was taking chibi Yukimura from his pocket to hold.
"Mother, do we have water colors?"
The black-haired lady pursed her lips in thought then smiled and nodded, "Sasuke-chan left some here. Why do you ask?"
Yukimura looked up at her from his place on her palms and gave her his cutest pout and biggest twinkling eyes, "Can I play with them?" he asked.
Kyoko hugged him hard to her chest and all too readily accepted, "Of course, you can! You're the cutest thing ever!"
Sanada rolled his eyes with a twitch of his lips as he walked to his room, his mother following him. He entered his room and placed his bag down then went back to the door where his mother was standing talking to Yukimura.
He simply stretched his hand towards her.
"Genichirou.." she said with a hint of a pout.
"Mother." He said back, hard resolve.
A staring contest started between them that finally ended when Yukimura gave off a fake yawn. Kyoko huffed and placed the bluenet in her son's larger hand. "There. Happy now?"
"Thank you, mother." He said respectfully and turned inside again so that he can change and let Yukimura rest for a while if he wished.
"There is something on your desk for Yukimura-kun. I hope they fit. And I'll bring the colors later on to you two." And with that and a smile, she went to the living room.
Sanada closed the door behind him with a sigh. His mother couldn't have grown up a bit at all.. well, that, or Sasuke's effect had been taking its toll earlier than expected.
He placed his best friend on his desk and looked at what his mother mentioned before: a set of small pants and a blouse.
Yukimura looked with wide eyes up at Sanada, his sapphire eyes gleaming in curiosity and happiness before he picked the blouse up in his hands then jumped in glee. "Can I try it on? Can I, can I?" he asked excitedly and the other found himself resisting a smile. Chibi Yukimura was so adorable, and God, he was going to be his break of character!
"After you take a bath."
The chibi halted in his movement and tilted his head thoughtfully before he nodded, "Right. After I use the water colors."
Chibi Yukimura was having the time of his life painting the way he wanted without worrying about dirtying his clothes or skin. After all, even if he dirtied them, they could easily be washed away.
Between his two little arms, he was holding the brush, dipping it in water slightly before dipping it in the color, then he would draw the line he wanted. He had the biggest smile on his face as he sang cheerfully, spinning and watching the brush draw the near-perfect circle around him.
One of the many points that Sanada took pride in was his ability to ignore surrounding noises to concentrate on his work. Right now, was the best point to test, seeing as the bluenette chibi's humming and singing was a distraction but he had successfully cleared his mind enough to work quietly on his studies.
"Genichirou!" well, that was something he couldn't ignore..
"Hn?"
"I want your help in something!"
The black-haired teen turned halfway in his seat to throw an assessing look at his best friend. "What?"
Chibi Yukimura placed the brush in the water cup and dragged the damp paper away then dragged a clean white one to his working space. "Draw me a tennis court."
Sanada's eyebrow rose in question.
"Please? I just want to play." And he started giving him that pouty expression, so the other got up before he had to face it.
With a sigh, the black-haired teen flopped down on the floor before the table and took the brush. No need to tell him how to draw it; the tennis court was etched in his mind and heart as a passionate tennis player. He dipped the brush in the black color enough and his hand hovered over the clean sheet. "On the whole paper?"
"Uhn!"
Okay. There it went. He started nearly an inch away from the corner and started drawing the borderlines of the court. One border, two, went smoothly, but when he went to start the third one, he noticed that Yukimura was fidgeting, "What's wrong?" he asked.
"You're.. edging on the left. It's not completely straight." And the way he tried so hard not to make it sound like an insult was ridiculously cute.
Sanada looked at the paper. The line was straight, and it should be after perfecting his calligraphy pieces: he developed a strongly steady hand. "It is straight."
"Is not."
"It is."
"No-.."
"Fine, I'll leave. You do it."
The chibi gasped and looked down in guilt, "Sorry.."
The black-haired teen waited for a couple of beats before resuming. He drew the other two lines without any interruption, and moved to the inside linings. He dipped the brush once again in the black paints then went to start the line dividing the court to two, and he was just about to place the brush on the sheet when Yukimura moved.
The chibi hurried to where the brush was about to touch the paper and gave an apologetic smile. "I'm really sorry, Genichirou. Please, indulge me." And he placed his little foot on a point on the borderline, "Here's the middle."
Sanada felt a vein pop in his forehead, but he tolerated and went with it, placing the tip of the brush in front of Yukimura's pointing foot. "Here?"
"Yes. Now draw."
There was supposed to be a rule preventing a chibi buchou from using his buchou voice, Sanada thought, but some of the authority in it changed to be something that you couldn't have the heart to disobey. Totally not fair. Was this Chibi!Buchou Super Power?
The black-haired teen steadied his hand as much as possible and made his best straight line. It helped that the watercolor's brush was somehow similar to his calligraphy brush. His hand went to draw the other lines, but before he could even place it on the paper, there was chibi Yukimura pointing to the right point from his view and silently, with big sparkly eyes, demanding to do what he saw fit.
Sanada sighed inwardly and worked however his best friend wanted. He was a sucker for the bluenet's words, and just now he realized that he had spoiled Yukimura, as a friend of course, enough to make the other expect obedience naturally.
And finally, the mini court was done. The night-haired teen looked at what he did and felt proud for having made such straight masterpiece. His brown eyes swept over to look at Yukimura's reaction, but the chibi went and took the biggest size of the brushes and dipped it in green. "Genichirou, take the other one and help me color!" the excitement in his voice was so evident that it made Sanada unconsciously reach out and quickly do what the other asked.
Sanada watched Yukimura half the time he spent coloring. The chibi dragged lines of green and moved expertly around. He twirled as if he was dancing and seemed like he was really having fun.
When they were done, chibi Yukimura gave a smile that radiated all around Sanada's room with cheerful beams. Just then, Sanada remembered that he had left his studies to draw, and he got up with a low groan.
Chibi Yukimura watched the other's back hunched over the desk for a minute before a mischievous smile bloomed on his cute rosy lips. He moved the drawn tennis court aside to let it dry then dragged a new one to his work place, but this time it was almost touching with the color palette.
As for Sanada, he easily got absorbed in his homework and forgot about the other mini presence behind him. For around fifteen minutes that was the case, until the rustling and small thuds broke through his bubble and he fought the urge to look back. He really wanted to get done with this one between his hands before having another distraction.
Soon though, his curiosity won over him and he turned halfway in his seat. He didn't know what the proper reaction to the scene he witnessed was. The bluenet was painting with his four limbs! He slowly dipped each of his feet in a color before following them with his hands, and then hopped, jumped and ran or spun around, clearly enjoying the splashes and patterns of colors that he created on the sheet.
The black-haired teen didn't know should he be annoyed because of the mess the other created on the table, or to smile and coo (INWARDLY, of course) because of the total cuteness and cheerfulness the other was.
"What are you doing?" he asked in what could only be detected as deadpanning.
The chibi looked up with a huge smile. "I've always wanted to draw on a canvas bigger than me." And with a close-eyed smile, he shrugged his tiny shoulders, "It's so fun!"
Sanada's heart skipped a beat at the sheer adorableness within the small human form as he fought a blush and turned back to his book.
A couple of strands of the blue hair got stuck to Yukimura's face, so he tucked it back behind his ear with his hand, before remembering that his hands were full of colors. Now his face and a part of his hair was colored bright yellow. A grin soon spread on his face as he hopped his way to the palette and dipped his tiny forefinger in red then drew a small heart on his cheek. With blue, he just made some different patterns on his arm.
The chibi giggled and proceeded to cover all his body with the available colors. Once he was satisfied with himself, he turned around and faced the paper then laid down slowly on it, making sure the colors didn't all get off. With a squeal, he rolled and rolled, printing random spots of colors with his body along the sheet.
This was what painting supposed to be. So free and fun!
Sanada's mouth hung open when he turned around for the third time after a while. "Yukimura!"
"Hmm?" the bluenet was a bundle of paint by now. Only a few spots of him were left without any color.
"Enough! You're going to wash up now, and we're going to put away the colors!" his table was no more solid wood. There were colors everywhere, but thankfully nothing touched the carpet. It would have been a pain to remove the paints from it.
"Eeeeh! But why?" and there it was; the adorable whine that he had to resist very hard.
"Because you've made the room a mess. It's already more than two hours!" Sanada got up and went to the table. He picked Yukimura up by the back of his shirt and picked the last paper. He walked back to his desk, laid the paper then placed the chibi buchou on it. "Don't move. Stay on the paper." He ordered him sternly and refused to be shaken when the big sapphire eyes teared up and pout started curling those lips.
"B-but.. Genichirou.. I want to draw some more.." Chibi Yukimura's eyes closed in a teary expression.
Sanada's eyebrow twitched, "Enough is enough, Yukimura. Look at the mess you made. I'm the one who will clean all of it, not you."
The chibi covered his face with his small arms, "B-but I was having fun.. you're so mean to me.."
The teen just suppressed a sigh and headed to the bathroom then came back with a wet rug and started to tidy up the table. It didn't take that long, because most of the spilled paint was still damp and only a little had dried and it got off with a bit of rubbing.
When he was done, he organized the papers that Yukimura used on the table to let them dry then placed the closed box of colors aside.
The next mission was to clean Yukimura.. that was going to be troublesome, what with how the chibi had curled up on himself to show how much upset he was. Sanada went to the bathroom once again, threw the soiled cloth aside and picked the bowl that he had assigned for bathing his chibi best friend.
The bluenet was still in his ball when the black-haired teen came back to the room. Sanada didn't know what deed he did to receive such a punishment by having to look after the small chibi. He sighed.
"Yukimura, get in." but the other didn't make a move. "Come on, let's get you to freshen up." Don't make this harder on me..
With a finger, he poked the blue head a little. His eyes widened though when Yukimura fell on his side, eyes closed, body unmoving.
"Y-Yukimura.. what's wrong?" his heart ached and his body tensed up at the sight. He tried shaking him gently, "Yukimura. Come on, Yukimura. Jeez, this is not good.." he was starting to hyperventilate as he did not know what was wrong.
Yukimura's chibi body started to shake slightly before a chuckle broke out of his mouth. The bluenet straightened up, "You should have seen your face! You looked so serious! Eh?.. Genichirou, are you crying?"
Sanada frowned and blinked the tear in his eye away. He roughly grabbed the chibi and dropped him in the bowl. "Hey! That hurts!" Yukimura rubbed his knees and sat up in the bowl, looking up at his best friend's face. He didn't know what was wrong.
The black-haired teen started filling the bowl with warm water feeling angry at his chibi.
"Wait! Let me take my clothes off first!" the water reached his chest level quickly and the paint were slowly washed away within the water. He took off his mini jersey and shorts while inside the water.
"I was worried!" Sanada snapped and reached out to rub the colors out of Yukimura's hair. "I thought something happened to you!"
"O-ouch!" Yukimura moved away from the huge hand and looked up with sad eyes at the other. Sanada's worry sounded genuine and he was starting to feel guilty for having played a prank on him like that. "Sorry.." he said.
The black-haired teen sighed and leaned his elbows to the counter. "Why did you do that?" he asked in a gentler tone.
"It was a joke. I didn't know you'd react like that." The chibi looked down as he spoke. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay. But don't do that again."
Yukimura nodded his head then moved his gaze upwards slowly to find that his stoic friend had a small smile on his face. He smiled, too, more relaxed.
Later he would realize that a smiling Sanada was irresistibly handsome.. *wink*
As Sanada helped him remove all the colors, they talked and played a bit until they made sure that Yukimura was completely fresh and clean. In his new clothes, Yukimura felt really comfortable and happy.
He smiled up at Sanada, and, again, felt grateful for being with such a great friend.
A/N: I wanted to finish it yesterday, but couldn't.
It was my birthday, and I wanted to get it out as a fluffy present from me to all, but it's still okay I think.
Please, leave a review and make chibi Yukimura happy.
