Kittens grow up fast, Rin learned.
It felt like two days had gone by, and the five kittens grew up quickly, going from squirmy lumps that could barely see or hear, to an adventurous group of tykes that were venturing around the apartment. Makoto had bought them little collars, so there was a lot of jingling going on while they explored to their heart's content.
The first born, which Rin called "Number One", was a boy, with black fur and blue eyes. He was a pretty quiet cat with an affinity for sighing and cuddling. He liked to curl up next to Rin when he was on the couch with a huff through his nose.
The second born, dubbed "Little Shit" (since "Number Two" was deemed distasteful to Makoto), was a girl, with white fur and brown spots and yellow eyes. She was a very curious one, and very unapologetic, since Rin had caught her pushing things off of tables multiple times. And when Rin scolded her, she stared at him and tried to push the same thing off the table that he had just picked up.
The third, which Rin called "Annoying Fuck", was a boy, with white fur and black spots, and yellow eyes. He was the most vocal of his siblings, meowing about anything and everything. Where he was irritatingly vocal, he made up for being very affectionate and playful, much to the chagrin of some of his siblings.
The fourth was called "Ichigo Jr", since the kitten was a literal clone of Ichigo. She was black with yellow eyes, and Rin had managed to snag a picture of the two of them sitting next to each other to some miracle of chance. She was mild tempered, like her mother, but as soon as you did something she didn't like, she would claw the shit out of your hand. She was a fairly independent kitten, but friendly with her brothers and sisters.
The last kitten was called "Survivor", and Rin fell in love with the kitten every day. He was the most mild-mannered kitten he'd ever met, with white fur, black and brown spots, and blue eyes. He was a little shy and liked to hide, but he was very sweet once he got used to you, and Rin was very protective of him.
"I don't know how I'm going to let these little shits go," Rin groaned to Makoto, resting his head on the other's lap as Number One curled up next to Makoto with a huff and Survivor curled up on Rin's chest to take a nap. Makoto chuckled, watching as Little Shit and Annoying Fuck started playing with each other on the coffee table.
"Yeah, they grow on you," Makoto admitted, "But seeing them go with a family that really loves them and is really happy to have them makes it easier."
Rin hummed in acknowledgement, stroking Survivor's fur.
"Do you think that our friends would want a kitten?" he asked, looking up at Makoto. He hummed in thought.
"Maybe? I mean, Haru and I have Kabocha…And Rei, Nagisa and Nitori live in the dorms…"
"Well, next year Nitori and Rei said they were moving out of the dorms. Maybe they'd want to take a kitten then?"
"Hmm, maybe! I think Nagisa was looking at places off campus too…"
"Do you think Haru would want a kitten? I mean, even though you have Kabocha…Maybe they could get along?"
"I mean, maybe…You still have a bit of time before you have to give them away. And if nobody in our immediate group of friends wants them, I'm sure that other families would love to adopt them."
"Yeah…" Rin sighed, closing his eyes. "…I don't know. I'll worry about it later."
-xxx-
Later came sooner than Rin anticipated.
After piling all of them into the cat carrier to the vet, they were all passed with clean bills of health, and with the help of Rin's mother, they all received their shots.
When Rin arrived home and let them out of the carrier, he let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding.
"Soon you're all gonna go to different homes, huh?" he muttered, looking down at the kittens. Ichigo had greeted them at the door, trilling at Annoying Fuck when he meowed at her, and giving his head a quick lick. All of the kittens crowded Ichigo with little mewls, and once they got attention from her, they rubbed at Rin's legs before wandering off. Ichigo huffed out a sigh, looking up at Rin. He gave her a soft smile. "At least I'll still have you, Ichigo."
He heard a 'clunk' from the kitchen, looking over to see that Little Shit had knocked a food dish from the counter onto the ground.
"Oi, Little Shit, how many times do I have to tell you to cut that out?"
-xxx-
After sending out a mass text to all of his friends to come look at the kittens to see if they possibly wanted to take one home, Haru was the first to reply, saying he would come over that day.
"Rin," Haru greeted, "I'm here to see the kittens."
"Yeah," Rin replied, "C'mon in."
Haru entered Rin's apartment, taking off his shoes and mobilizing to the living room, his camera ready.
"So, there's five of 'em, as you know," Rin started, sitting down on the couch, "There's Number One, Little Shit, Annoying Fuck, Ichigo Jr, and Survivor."
"Lovely names," Haru snorted, taking a couple snapshots of Little Shit and Annoying Fuck, who had come over to sniff and rub against him, Annoying Fuck meowing loudly.
Haru took his time, interacting with each kitten individually, until he finally came across Number One.
The black cat huffed a sigh out of his nose, his little tail curling around his paws, regarding Haru with a cool, blue gaze.
"Hey, you know, Number One kinda looks like you," Rin observed, and the two continued to stare at each other.
"…I'll take him." Haru decided.
"Eh? You will?"
"Yes," Haru nodded, and Number One licked his lips, "He…understands me."
"Uh…Well, I mean, alright. Will Makoto be okay with that? More importantly, will Kabocha be okay with it?"
"Kabocha got neutered over spring break," Haru tilted his head, reaching out to stroke the little black cat, "Plus, I'm an adult. I can make my own decisions."
"Well, alright, then," Rin sighed, "I don't mind giving him to you. The kittens are around eight weeks, so you can go get him neutered. And he's got all his shots, too."
"Okay," Haru said, gently picking up the kitten, who immediately clung to his shirt with a meow.
"Here, you can borrow my cat carrier to take him home," Rin offered, standing up to go fetch it, "What are you going to name him?"
There was a pause before Rin came back into the living room with the cat carrier in hand. Haru was staring determinedly at the cat.
"…Saba-chan."
"You're gonna name your cat 'mackerel'?!" Rin cried, and Haru nodded. "You can't name him mackerel! Pick a different name!"
"…Mizu-chan."
"Water?! Haru, what the actual fuck is wrong with you?"
"…Umi-chan."
"Ocean, huh? ...That's not as bad as mackerel." Rin shrugged, helping Haru put Umi-chan into the cat carrier. "Don't forget to bring this back to me, okay? Good luck with him."
"Thank you, Rin." Haru replied, looking very pleased with his decision (Rin really couldn't tell, he makes the same expression all the time).
"…Take care of him."
"I will. You can visit him whenever you'd like." Rin laughed.
"Thanks."

"Rin-chan, we're here to see the kittens!" Nagisa greeted, and Rin already felt exhausted by Nagisa's seemingly endless energy.
"Yeah, sure," Rin sighed, letting Nagisa inside, Rei close behind him.
"Greetings, Rin-san," Rei pushed up his glasses, looking down to see a couple kittens approaching.
"Ahh, they're all so cute!" Nagisa cooed, kneeling down to pet Ichigo Jr and Survivor, Rei kneeling down to pet Annoying Fuck.
There was a clunk from the kitchen.
"Hey! Get down from there!" Rin shouted at Little Shit, who had, yet again, knocked over a food bowl.
Nagisa was immediately smitten.
"Ahhh, which one is that, Rin-chan?!" Nagisa asked, standing up and trotting into the kitchen to pick the kitten up from the counter.
"That's Little Shit. She's the second born. All she does is get on my nerves and knock shit over." Rin grumbled.
"Rei-chan, come look!" Nagisa waved him over, and Rei obeyed, moving towards Nagisa to observe the cat. "Isn't she adorable?"
"She is rather cute," Rei admitted, reaching out to scratch under her chin.
"Rin-chan, do you think I could take this one?" Nagisa asked, giving Rin an excited smile.
"Yes," Rin blurted a bit too quickly, clearing his throat and rubbing the back of his neck, "I mean, yeah. I'm sure you would give her a nice home."
"Yay! Thank you so much, Rin-chan!" Nagisa cheered, giving Rin a hug before turning his attention back to the kitten, "Ooh, she's so adorable! What should we name her, Rei-chan?"
"Wh-Why are you asking me?!" Rei cried, cheeks flushed, "It's your kitten, Nagisa-kun. You can name her whatever you wish."
"Hmm," Nagisa hummed, scratching behind the kitten's ears, "You know, I always liked the name Hikari for a girl. How about that? Hikari?" The kitten looked up at Nagisa with her yellow eyes, licking her lips then letting out a tiny meow, butting her head against his hand. Nagisa melted, "Aww, you like that, don't you? Hikari it is, then! Hika-chaaan!"
After realizing that he still lived in the dorms, Nagisa enlisted the help of his older sister who lived nearby with her fiancée, and they agreed to keep Hikari at their house until Nagisa moved out of the dorms.
"Thanks so much, Rin-chan! I promise I'll take extra special good care of Hika-chan!" Nagisa said determinedly, cradling the kitten close to his chest.
"You better, or I'll kill you."
"I promise, Rin-chan! And if I'm deemed unfit, then I'll give full responsibility of her to Rei-chan!"
"Don't drag me into this!" Rei shouted, and Rin laughed.
"Alright. Don't forget everything I told you, okay? And seriously, if you don't feel like you can take care of her, you can bring her back here."
"Aye aye, Rin-chan!" Nagisa gave him a two fingered salute, and then his phone went off. "Ah, that must be nee-chan! See you later, Rin-chan!"
The two left the apartment, Rin insisting they use his cat carrier to transport her. He closed the door, looking down to the remaining three kittens that looked up at him.
"And then there was three," he sighed, smiling at them.
-xxx-
"Good afternoon, Rin-senpai!" Nitori greeted, "I brought you some cookies! And your cat carrier from Nagisa-san!"
"Thanks," Rin accepted the bag with the cookies in them, "The kittens are in the living room."
"Okay!" Nitori made his way into the living room, Rin close behind.
"There's only three now," Rin explained, pointing to each one, "I call that one Annoying Fuck. That one is Ichigo Jr."
"Ooh, they're so cute!" Nitori cooed, reaching out to stroke Annoying Fuck. Ichigo Jr jumped onto the coffee table next to her mother, and Nitori gasped. "Woooow, now I know why you call her Ichigo Jr! She looks exactly like her!" Ichigo Jr rubbed against her mother before moving closer to Nitori's face, sniffing curiously. "Oh, where's the other kitten? I only see two…"
"Oh, Survivor is a little shy," Rin explained, "He's probably hiding."
"I see!" Nitori said cheerfully, giggling as Ichigo Jr began rubbing against his hair. "Oh, I think she likes me!"
"Yeah, looks like it," Rin tilted his head, "She wasn't really that affectionate with the others when they came over."
"Ahh, I'm flattered!" Nitori cooed at the kitten, who decided to lick Nitori's nose with her scratchy tongue, making the boy giggle.
"Wow," Rin drawled, "She really likes you."
"Does that mean I get to take her home?!" Nitori cried excitedly, Ichigo Jr jumping slightly at his loud voice, batting at his face. Rin laughed.
"I mean, sure, if you want to." Nitori gasped, looking back at the kitten.
"Did you hear that? You get to come home with me!" Nitori giggled in excitement, stroking his new kitten in delight.
"Since you live in the dorms, where is she gonna stay?" Rin asked, and Nitori smiled.
"Don't worry, Rin-senpai! I got it all sorted out. Since Rei-san, Nagisa-san and I are going to be sharing an apartment soon, Nagisa-san's older sister says I can keep my kitten there with Nagisa's kitten!" he explained, and Rin nodded.
"Alright, as long as you got a plan. You can borrow my cat carrier, then."
"Yes, sir!"
While Nitori called Nagisa, Rin urged Ichigo Jr into the cat carrier. While getting her in, Annoying Fuck had followed her, and he had to yank him out, mocking his meows of protest as he closed the little door.
"Alright, everything's all set!" Nitori grinned, looking inside the cat carrier to see yellow eyes staring back at him. "Let's go, Miyako-chan!"
"Miyako, huh?" Rin asked, ruffling Nitori's hair, "Cute."
"Th-Thank you! I thought of it while I was on the phone with Nagisa-san!" Nitori's phone rang, and he picked it up, "Hello? …Ah, okay, Nagisa-san! I'll be down in a minute!" he hung up, grinning up at Rin, "Alright, Rin-senpai! Looks like my ride is here!"
"Okay," Rin followed him to the door, "Remember everything I told you. And if you feel like you can't take care of her properly, you can always bring her back here."
"Yes! Thank you so much, Rin-senpai! I'll take really good care of Miyako-chan!"
"Of course. Watch out for…ah, what did Nagisa name her again? 'Hika-chan'?" Nitori laughed.
"Okay, Rin-senpai! We'll see you later!"
Nitori left, and Rin closed the door, looking towards his shoes on the floor, seeing Survivor peeking at him over one of his sneakers. He let out a timid meow, and Rin smiled at him.

"Hey, Mako. What's up?"
"Rin," Makoto sighed into the phone, "Snowball had to be put down today."
Rin sat up on his couch, holding up Survivor, who had fallen asleep on his chest.
"…Oh," his breath left him in a rush, "Oh, Makoto. I'm so sorry."
"It's alright," Makoto said softly, "The twins are taking it really hard. Both of them were sobbing on the phone when my mom called. It was horrible, Rin."
"I can only imagine," Rin said, his throat tight.
"I'm gonna be going home this weekend, to visit and see the twins," Makoto said, "My mom said you could come along for dinner, if you'd like."
Rin thought about it, glancing down at his lap, where Survivor and Annoying Fuck had curled up in his lap, and he hummed.
"Say, Mako," Rin began, stroking a spot on Annoying Fuck's head with his finger, "Do you think your family would get another cat?"
"Hmm," Makoto thought, "I think it's a little soon, but I'm sure after a while, Ren and Ran might want a new one. Why do you ask?"
"Well, I mean," Rin switched the phone from his left ear to his right, "I have two kittens that still need a home. And one of them happens to be a vocal little shit that loves to cuddle, and to play…"
"…Ah, so when I go home, you want to bring the twins a kitten?" Makoto asked, and Rin grinned.
"Exactly!"
-xxx-
That weekend, Makoto's father came and picked up the two of them, and they discussed bringing Annoying Fuck to the house.
"I think Ren and Ran will really like that," Makoto's father smiled brightly, giving Rin's shoulder a friendly smack, "Thank you for thinking of us, Matsuoka-san."
"It's nothing, really," Rin replied, "And you can just call me Rin. C'mon, you can come meet the kitten at my house."
When they arrived at Rin's apartment, Ichigo and Annoying Fuck met them at the door, Annoying Fuck meowing in delight.
"And this is the kitten in question," Rin said, picking him up, "He really is very sweet, very vocal. Loves to play."
"He's very cute," Makoto's father gave the kitten a soft smile, scratching behind his ears, "Did you give him a name?"
"Uh," Rin's smile faltered, "…Nope. He doesn't have a name."
"Alright, then," Makoto's father nodded, "We'll take him off your hands then, Rin."
-xxx-
They drove to Makoto's house (which Rin found out was eerily close to his mother's house), and Makoto paused in the doorway.
"…Huh," he hummed thoughtfully, "I guess Ren and Ran aren't gonna run to the door."
"Hello, sweetheart," Makoto's mother greeted, smiling sweetly, "Ah, and you must be Rin! We've heard so much about you from Makoto. It's nice to finally meet you!"
"Ah, nice to meet you too," Rin replied politely, and he shook her hand, and her eyes widened at the sound of a meow.
"Oh," she breathed, "Rin, did you-?"
"Yeah," Rin gave her a sheepish smile, "Um, I figured…I thought the twins would really like him. He's really sweet, and loves to play."
"Oh, Rin, sweetie, that's so sweet of you," she smiled again, and Rin blushed, now knowing where Makoto gets most of his charm from. "Really, thank you so much."
"Don't mention it," he replied, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
"The twins are in the living room," she said, "They're feeling a bit sluggish today."
Rin followed Makoto to the living room, pausing to admire the pictures of younger Makoto and family portraits in the hallway.
"Ren, Ran," Makoto called, "I'm home."
Ren and Ran were sitting on the floor of the living room, the TV playing in the background as the two of them colored in their sketchbooks. They turned around, brightening upon seeing their brother.
"Onii-chan!" they cried in unison, standing up and attacking him in a hug. Rin smiled at the scene, but their clamoring came to an abrupt halt as the carrier Rin was toting let out another meow.
"…Who are you?" Ren asked, looking at Rin from behind Makoto. Ran peeked at him from the other side.
"Uh," Rin gave him a nervous grin, "My name is Rin. I'm Makoto's friend."
"Say hello," Makoto encouraged, and they did, in unison, and then the carrier meowed again.
"…Rin-chan, do you have a kitty?" Ran asked, looking at the carrier.
"In fact, I do," Rin replied, smiling, walking into the living room, "Want to meet him?"
"Yeah!" they cheered, kneeling down in front of the cat carrier that Rin set on the floor.
"Make sure to be nice to him, guys," Makoto said sternly, "He's probably a little bit nervous after the drive over here." The twins nodded, promising they would be careful.
Rin opened the door to the cat carrier, and Annoying Fuck came barreling out, meowing excitedly and sniffing at Ren and Ran.
"Ahh, he's so tiny, onii-chan!" Ren cried.
"He's sooooo cute!" Ran cooed, carefully reaching out to stroke him. Annoying Fuck meowed happily, rubbing against her.
"Ren, what's wrong?" Makoto asked upon seeing his little brother's face droop, and Ren sniffed slightly.
"It's just," Ren said in a tiny voice, "When you and Rin-chan go home, you'll take the kitty with you…And we won't have a kitty anymore…" Ran's smile fell away to a frown as well, her eyes growing wet with tears.
"No-!" Rin blurted, and Ren looked at him with wet eyes, and Rin swallowed, "No! I mean…I brought this kitten here for you two! To keep! Forever and ever!" The twin's eyes widened in surprise at Rin's explanation.
"Really?!" Ren cried, and Ran wiped her eyes, giggling as Annoying Fuck climbed into her lap.
"Thank you, Rin-chan!" Ran exclaimed, "We'll take really good care of him!" Rin smiled at the little girl.
"I know you will."
"Ran, let's name him Spots!" Ren suggested enthusiastically, stroking the little kitten in Ran's lap happily.
"Yeah!" Ran agreed happily, carefully holding up the newly named Spots so that she and Ren could kiss his head, "Spots, welcome home!"
Rin turned to look at Makoto, who was smiling at him gratefully, mouthing a 'thank you', and Rin flushed, smiling back.
-xxx-
"Hey, mom, do you wanna come over?"
"Oh, Rin-chan, this is sudden! Why do you want me to come over?"
"I wanna do something nice for you," Rin explained, his cheeks heating up slightly, "Since you helped me out so much with the kittens…'n stuff."
"Aren't you the sweetest thing?" his mother cooed on the other line, and Rin stuck out his tongue, "Sure, I'll come over! We can make dinner together! How does that sound?"
"Sounds perfect. I'll buy the ingredients and you come over at let's say…six o'clock?"
"Alright! See you soon, sweetie!"
-xxx-
Rin's mom came over earlier than he anticipated, so the two of them went to the store together, deciding that curry would be good for dinner. They chatted idly amongst the various produce, Rin updating her on school and the fact that almost all of the kittens have been adopted to lovely homes. He told her more about Makoto, now that they were dating, and Rin's mother demanded that she be able to meet him properly before she left that night.
They made the curry while Ichigo and Survivor weaved between their legs, meowing noisily.
"Alright, alright, you little shits," Rin growled, "I'll feed you, just stop all that racket!"
Survivor was eating wet food to put on some weight, and Ichigo usually just ate dry food, but tonight, Rin decided to treat the mother. He split a can of wet food between the two of them, and his mother giggled as they ate noisily.
"Ahh, they're so cute!" his mother cooed, "Ichigo looks so big next to him!"
"Yeah," Rin chuckled, "Hey, mom…About why I invited you over here…"
"What is it, dear?" his mother asked, concern lacing her voice.
"I want to give you Survivor," he finally says, "I think you'll take really good care of him, and it must get lonely back at the house, so I thought it would be nice if you took him-"
"Rin-chan!" his mother interrupted, resting a hand on his, "I'd be happy to take him off your hands. On one condition."
"One condition…?" Rin asked, giving his mother a weary look as her grin widened.
"I'll take the kitten if, and only if, you invite Makoto over to join us for dinner."
-xxx-
"Thank you for inviting me over for dinner," Makoto said, smiling politely at Rin and his mother. Rin hid his red face behind his hand, and Rin's mother smiled back.
"Ahh, Makoto is so cute!" she said, giving Rin a thumbs up, "Good job, Rin-chan!"
"M-Mom! Shut up!" Rin shouted, and Makoto chuckled, rubbing his now hot cheek with his finger.
"Thank you, Miss Matsuoka," he said after Rin's outburst, "It's nice to finally be able to meet you."
"The pleasure's all mine, sweetheart!" she replied, "I'm so happy Rin-chan found a nice young man…It always worried me that he would get together with some biker chick…Or a bad boy!"
"Moooom-!" Rin whined, smacking his head on the table, "Stop embarrassing me…!"
"Really? Rin doesn't seem like that type of person," Makoto gave Rin a fond smile, "He's got a rough exterior, but he's just a big teddy bear inside."
"Not you too, Makoto…" Rin groaned, "This was a horrible idea. I should have just kept Survivor for myself."
"Oh, don't talk nonsense, Rin-chan!" his mother patted his back, "We're just teasing!"
"Well stop teasing, it's embarrassing!" Rin growled, "And eat the curry!"
They did eat the curry, Makoto and his mother chatting more, Makoto happily replying to all of her questions, even the embarrassing ones. Rin was really impressed with how well Makoto handled his mother, and was pleased that Makoto was so likable and charming.
"Ah, well, thank you for dinner!" Makoto said happily as he stood at the front door, "I gotta get home and finish up some homework."
"It was really very nice to finally meet you, Makoto," Rin's mother smiled at him, ordering him to bend down so she could kiss his cheek then pinch it affectionately.
"Same to you, Miss Matsuoka," Makoto blushed, "I hope to see you again sometime soon."
"Of course, sweetheart!" she gave him a grin, "We'll definitely see each other soon! I'm going to wash the dishes now…"
"Mom, you don't have to…!" Rin tried, but she shook her head.
"It's alright, Rin-chan! Just say goodbye to Makoto and then you can help me dry." She winked, walking into the kitchen.
"I'm sorry," Rin groaned, "Thanks for coming over."
"It's no problem, Rin-chan." Makoto smiled and Rin blushed, smacking his arm.
"Sh-Shut up! Don't add '-chan' to my name!" Rin growled, and Makoto laughed.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry!" Makoto smiled at Rin again, softer this time, more affectionate, and Rin felt his cheeks heating up. "Can I have a kiss?" he murmured, and Rin knew for sure that his cheeks were bright red. He moved closer to Makoto and gently pressed his lips against Makoto's in a quick peck.
"I'll text you," Rin muttered, and Makoto nodded, bidding Rin farewell as he left his apartment.
Rin turned around to see his mother peeking from the kitchen doorway with a smug grin on her face.
"M-Mom-!" he cried, and she laughed, throwing a dish towel at him.
-xxx-
"Well, I'm heading back home now!" his mother chimed, holding the cat carrier with Survivor in it at her side, "Thank you for inviting me over, Rin-chan. And for Katsuro!"
"Katsuro…?" Rin asked, and his mother smiled.
"Don't you think it's fitting? He is a survivor, you know." She looked from the cat carrier to Rin with a gentle smile, "I'd say that's the greatest victory anyone...or any cat, could accomplish."
"Mom…" Rin sniffled a bit, placing his hand over his heart, "That was beautiful."
"Oh, shush, you!" she laughed, giving his arm a swat, "I'm going home now. Thank you again!"
"Yeah," Rin kissed her cheek, "I'll see you later."
"Bye, sweetheart! Good luck with school!"
She walked out of the door with the cat carrier, and Ichigo came up and rubbed her head against Rin's leg.
"Well, Ichigo," he sighed, bending over to pick her up, "You did it. You fucked my neighbor's cat and got pregnant," he scratched behind her ears, "Then you gave birth to five healthy, happy, little kittens," she purred happily, rubbing against him affectionately, "Then after you gave birth to them, I started dating my neighbor," he smirked, rubbing his nose against her head, "Then your little kittens got adopted to nice homes with families that will take care of them and love them the way they deserve to be." He looked down into her bright yellow eyes, smiling, "So, how do you feel?"
She stared at him before nudging her paw against his nose and meowing, and he laughed.
"Well put, Ichigo," he pressed a kiss on top of her head, "Well put."
AND, WITH THAT, CAT CONNECTIONS COMES TO A CLOSE.
WHEW! I'm so happy! This story has been so much fun to write, and it has been so great to know that everyone that has read it has enjoyed it immensely! (/^_^)/
I didn't know when I started typing this that this would be the final chapter, but after typing for a while I realized that every single kitten getting a home would be a perfect way to end it. Oh, notes about names!
Haru's cat is Umi, which means ocean in Japanese. (since he could not name his cat Mackerel or Water. God bless)
Nagisa's cat is Hikari, which means "radiance".
Ren and Ran's cat is Spots, beCAUSE THE TWINS ARE FUCKING CREATIVE (also I was sick of looking for names)
Nitori's cat is Miyako, which means "beautiful night child" b/c BLACK CAT hurr durr
and Rin's mom's cat is Katsuro, which means "victorious son". Tried to find something that was like survivor, but couldn't find much...BUT HE IS VERY VICTORIOUS BECAUSE HE LIVED WHEN IT LOOKED LIKE HE WOULDN'T. Also, uh, KATsuro? Eh? EH? Well, I thought it was clever.
THE WORST PART ABOUT THIS WAS FINDING NAMES FOR THE LITTLE SHITS OK It was so stressful and I don't care anymore.
So even though Cat Connections is coming to a close, I'm going to be doing a drabble series! It will be a separate fic where I write about things that I couldn't fit into the main story, BUT REALLY WANT TO WRITE ABOUT. (Ahem, there, uh...There might be some makorin sex in it. Maybe. You should look out for it.)
AND...I think that's all! Once again, thank you SO SO SOOOO MUCH for taking your time to read this body of work! I'm so happy you enjoyed it, and I'm so happy you took some time to write me a review! See you in the drabble series!
