BONUS CHAPTER!
Let's have some NaLu, shall we?
Natsu Dragneel, pyrotechnist and member of the toughest team in the Fairy Academy for Troublemakers and Lawbreakers, was nervous beyond measure.
Was he facing a formidable opponent the likes of which no one had ever seen? Was he about to die a most horrible death? Was he about to face (and cake forbid) the horror of all horrors: a moving vehicle?!
The answer to all of these questions is no. Natsu would have laughed in the face of such mundane terrors. (Except, you know, the moving vehicles.) The simple truth is that Natsu was nervous because… at exactly 7:00 PM, he and Lucy were going on their first date.
"You? You, Natsu Dragneel, are nervous?!" Lisanna stared in disbelief at her childhood friend. "Who are you and what have you done with the real Natsu?!"
"C'mon, Lisanna, I'm serious!" Natsu wailed. "What am I supposed to do?!"
"Well, I dunno, don't people usually go out for dinner and a movie?"
"DON'T YOU DARE!" Mira, who had been evesdropping, shrieked at the top of her lungs. "That's the most cliché date idea I've ever heard!"
"Then what?! The date's in an hour, and I still don't know where I'm going to take her!"
"Natsu, Natsu, Natsu…" Mira shook her head, sighing. "All right. How about I give you some pointers?"
Natsu's eyes lit up. "Really? Thanks, Mira!"
The white-haired bartender beamed at him. "My pleasure."

When Lucy opened her door to find a guy in a suit with a tie, she blinked. Blinked again. Rubbed her eyes. And asked, weakly,
"Is that… you, Natsu?!"
He blinked back at her. "Uh… Yeah. Who else would it be?"
"B-But you're wearing a suit." Lucy stammered. "You can't be wearing a suit. Since when do you wear suits? Since when did you even know what a suit was?!"
"Since…now? Hey, Luce, you okay? You look kinda pale."
Lucy attempted to speak, but no words would come out. So she simply nodded, and let Natsu take her by the hand like a gentleman and lead her outside.
Sweet cupcakes. What was going on here?!
xXx
An hour later, and Lucy was really disturbed.
He was eating with his elbows off the table. Natsu was eating with his elbows off the table. Lucy pinched herself for the six hundredth time. She was going to have a bruise if she didn't stop, but she just couldn't believe it.
She glanced around the fancy restaurant she'd never expected to be taken to. Not that Natsu didn't have enough money to pay for it. He was a member of the team, after all. It was just… Since when did Natsu wear fancy suits and go to fancy restaurants and speak freaking French?
Lucy was suspecting some kind of joke.
But nope, Natsu acted like the perfect gentleman, helping her up when she was finished, pushing her chair back in for her, and escorting her outside so elegantly that she heard a woman whisper to her friend,
"Now that's the type of man I want in my family!"
Lucy didn't know whether to be embarrassed out of her mind or pleased.
When they were outside, the question leaped out of her mouth almost instantly. "Natsu, what's wrong with you?"
He tipped his head to one side, looking confused. "Wrong? Whattaya mean, wrong? I'm perfectly fine."
"What's with... all this?" Lucy gestured to his suit, the restaurant, the waiters. "I mean, Natsu, this isn't like you!"
"You don't like it?" Natsu looked crushed, and Lucy hastily added,
"No, I like it a lot, but… It just isn't you, Natsu."
He just stared at her for a second, then broke into a huge grin. "Thank cake for that! Mira told me I had to do this, but I didn't know how much longer I could pull it off!"
He ripped off the tie, sighing in relief. "Ah, that feels so much better!"
Lucy was so stunned by this complete 360 transformation, she almost didn't catch what he said next.
"So, you wanna go back to my place for a movie or something?"
Lucy smiled. "Sure."
And so, they strolled off, a young couple happy in love.
