Uchiha Sakura did not need a man in her life.

Her son, however, did, because as fun as it was playing football with Aunt Tennie, it wasn't the same.

After Sasuke's death, Sai (who had been five at that time) had little to none contact with men. So, for her son's sake, Sakura had vowed to give men a try again.

... Turned out nice men weren't easy to find.

Namikaze Minato was calmly doing some paperwork when his phone suddenly rung.

He immediately recognized the number.

Oh, God, what did Naruto do now? he thought

"Baa-chan! Hi!" he greeted cheerily

"Minato." sighed Naruto's school's headmaster "I need you to come to the school. Again."

Minato almost groaned. That was the fifth time this week.

Sakura was sitting in the headmaster's office with Tsunade, her son and a blonde boy around Sai's age. They were waiting for the boy's father.

"Sorry I'm late!" grinned a young man as he walked in

"Do you know why you're here?" asked Tsunade, ignoring him

The adult shook their heads.

"Apparently your son" she pointed at Sakura "insulted his son."

"It wasn't an insult." a nine-year-old Sai pointed out "It was a nickname. I've read friends give each other nicknames."

Sakura resisted the urge to rub her temples,

"What exactly did he say?"

"He called me 'brainless'!" exclaimed the blonde

The boy's father raised an eyebrow, but (thank God) did not look angry.

"Something to say, Sakura?" asked Tsunade amused and the rosette thought her aunt was enjoying this a little too much

"Um... he's got his father's social skills?" she tried but it sounded more like a question

Tsunade snorted,

"Look, I think staying after classes for a week is good enough. Except if you don't have better ideas, Minato?"

Ah, so his name was Minato.

"Well," Minato grinned sheepishly "I kinda think that's too much. After all, that's just a big misunderstanding. Just an apology will do."

Sakura muttered a silent 'thank you', while Sai scowled (he really was a mini-Sasuke). For him that was worse than staying after classes.

Begrudgingly, he walked towards the other boy (whose name Sakura still didn't know) and offered him a hand,

"I'm sorry. I was just trying to be friendly."

"It's fine. Wanna go to the park and play?"

"Sure."

And the two kids ran off, not even sparing a glance to their parents.

Sakura smiled and shook her head,

"Guess we're going to the park then."

"Guess we are." grinned Minato and held the door open for her

Hm, maybe nice men weren't that hard to find after all.

Both Minato and Sakura missed the knowing grin on Tsunade face.

She started imagining what their kid would be like. With Sakura's temper... and Minato's goofiness...

God help them all!

A/N: In my first draft, Sasuke was an a**hole and he and Sakura were divorced, but...

Anyway, I'm not sure if I like how that turned out. Is it too weird I made Sai Sakura and Sasuke's son?

Last thing, if you're interested in alternative universe stories, you should 'Monster', which I recently updated (SasuSaku, Sakura is the Kyuubi's host).

Love,

Berry

P.S.

THE MANGA! OMG! Anyone interested in talking about it, feel free to PM me (other people who want to chat about anything else are welcome to do so too, of course).
