Here's the next chapter to this very unresolved sexual tension filled story. hope you haven't forgotten about it, sorry for the hiatus but here i ammmm. Enjoy :D
The next morning Dean woke up with a grin on his face, it was nine o'clock in the morning and he wasn't even tired. He never got up this early...but he was having coffee with Cas this morning.
"Who are you and what have you done with my brother?" Sam asked as Dean walked into the kitchen already showered and fully dressed.
"Shut up Sammy."
"No seriously, what's got you all excited?"
"I'm going for coffee with Cas," Dean said with a smirk, "I'm headin over there now."
"Are you guys coming back here? Should I vacate the premises?" Sam asked grinning.
"Nah, we might come back to hang out, but you don't have to leave Sammy. I really like Cas, I don't wanna mess things up by fucking him on the first date, yah know? I wanna take things slow." Dean said and Sam nodded, Dean headed out the door.
Sam smiled after his big brother. He hadn't heard him talk about going slow with somebody since, well since forever. He was happy for Dean, he needed someone like Cas in his life, someone who won't leave.

"Cassie wake up!" Gabriel shouted into his bedroom.
"Gabriel go away it's so early." Cas mumbled into his pillow.
"Cassie that's why I'm waking you up. You're having coffee with Dean this morning, he'll be here in a few minutes."
Cas shot up in his bed like he was struck by lightning. He showered as fast as he could before pulling on some decent enough looking clothes and his ratty converse. He needed to shave a little bit but he didn't have time, he didn't have time to try controlling his hair either, because someone was knocking on their front door.
Cas rushed downstairs after he brushed his teeth and made it there before Gabriel or Lucifer did. He opened the door and Dean was leaning against the outside door frame with a wide smile.
"Mornin' Cas."
Cas blushed furiously and swallowed. Talking to Dean the night before had been a lot easier when he was with his friends and consuming beer at a constant rate.
"H-Hello Dean." he said and returned Dean's smile.
"You really pull off the just rolled outta bed look Cas, I gotta tell yah, i'm diggin it." Dean said with a wink.
"Thank you Dean," Cas said quietly and looked down at his feet, "You always look good."
"Come on Cas, let's go have some coffee, I know a great place." Dean said smiling and grabbed Cas' hand for the short walk from the house to the Impala.
"Where are we going?" Cas asked once they were in Dean's car. Dean was holding Cas' hand on the seat while he drove, he only let go to use the gear shift.
"Jo's cousin Ash own's a coffee shop that's real close to The Roadhouse." Dean told him.
"I didn't know she had an older cousin." Cas mused.
"He wasn't around much when we were younger, he's my age, never got on well with his parents so he kind of drifted around until he called Ellen one day and he's been here ever since." Dean explained, "You'll like him he's great."
"I don't think I've ever met anyone in you're family that I dislike." Cas told him.
"Yeah?" Dean asked raising an eyebrow, "Who do you like best?"
Cas smirked, "At first I liked Sam, but then I met Jo, and I couldn't choose between the two and then I met you..."
"And?"
"I don't know yet." Cas said winking and exited the car when Dean pulled in front of the coffee shop.
Cas felt so comfortable with Dean, it was hard not to be. He hadn't been this comfortable with someone since high school, and it taken him months to get to this point. He'd on'y known Dean for two days.
"You don't know?" Dean asked taking his hand before they walked into the coffee shop.
"Nope, not yet." Cas grinned.
Standing behind the counter of the coffee shop was a short somewhat thin man that was beyond pale and had a dark brown mullet was mussed on his head.
"Hey bitch, who's your friend?" the mullet man said looking at Dean.
"Hey dickwad, this is Cas, Cas this is Ash." Dean introduced them.
"Nice to meet you." Cas said with a warm smile.
"Like wise." Ash said nodding to him, "Got yerself a polite one there, Winchester. Better keep close eye on him, Ellen might steal em' from yah."
"Oh shut up, and give me my regular." Dean grumbled, "What do you want Cas?"
Cas squinted up at the menu for a moment before saying, "How about a medium caramel and mocha, hot." he said.
Ash handed them their coffees and Dean and Cas sat in a booth that was in the far corner of the shop. Dean kept a hold of Cas' hand across the table.
"So," Dean said taking a sip of his own black coffee, "I know that's you're crazy good at soccer, you love to read, you eat burgers lik I do, you've got two big brothers and you're Sammy's best friend. Tell me more."
"You want to know more about me?" Cas asked.
"Yeah Cas, I like you."
"Oh."
"Cas," Dean said with a shy smile, "Last night was fun, with the flirting and the banter and shit but I really like you. I wanna take it slow."
Cas blushed again, that's all Dean did was make him blush, "That's good because I really like you too."
"So, tell me about yourself." Dean nudged him.
"Okay.." Cas hesitated, "There really isn't much about me that's worth telling."
"I don't care if you think it's worth telling or not, I wanna hear it."
"Well, my parents were never around much, they were very rich and traveled all the time. Lucifer and Gabriel took care of me for most of my childhood and when Lucifer turned eighteen he convinced my parents to sign the custody papers for me and Gabriel over to him."
Cas took a swig of his own coffee that was very delicious and looked up to see Dean was smiling at him, waiting for him to continue.
"I never had a lot of friends while I was in high school, I mostly just spent time with my older brothers. I struggled with insomnia and anxiety while I was in high school but I never had trouble flirting or talking to guys, and I had one or two boyfriends. My last boyfriend, Uriel, was not a good one and the aftermath is what made my anxiety and fear of talking to good looking men grow subconsciously. That is a story for another time."
"That's fine Cas, you don't have to tell me anything that you don't want me to know," Dean said and Cas smiled at him, "But that's about your life, I wanna know about you."
"How do you mean?" Cas asked confused.
"What's you're favorite color, you're favorite movie, what kinds of books you like to read, what are you studying in college, stuff like that."
"No one's ever really asked me about those things before." Cas mused. He watched as Dean's eyebrows furrowed and he looked confused.
"You mean you've had two boyfriends and neither one of them ever bothered to find out if you like coffee or tea? Or why you like your favorite shirt?"
"Umm, no? Were they supposed to?" Cas asked.
DEan chuckled and smiled at him sadly, "Cas that's what having a significant other is about. You learn about each other, what makes the other person tick, why they love living the life they live, so you can make living it even better for them." Dean explained, "Learning about each other is the fun part," he continued and turned Cas' palm over and traced the lines with his pointer finger, "You learn the knew things about each other because it makes you care more. It makes you love them more. Whatever you had with those other guys it's not...not even close to what I'd love to give you."
Cas was shocked into silence by Dean's words. Nobody had ever cared about him like this, no one other than his brothers had ever wanted to know his favorite book or what food he didn't like, and Dean said he wanted to learn those things about Cas and Cas realized in that moment that Dean is the person he wanted to share that with.
"Dean." Cas whispered, his eyes had even teared up a little, "You are...extraordinary."
"I am?" the green eyes man asked with a smile.
"Incredibly so." Cas said nodding, "I would love for you to give me whatever you want, as long as I can give in return."
"You don't even have to ask." Dean said with a grin.
"So what's your story Dean?"
"Oh the story of the lowly Kansan boy? It's not as interesting as yours." Dean said with a slight blush to his cheeks.
"Prove it." Cas said with a grin.
"I was born here, in Lawrence. My dad's name was John and my mom's name was Mary. Sam was born when I was four years old. My parents died when Sam twelve. I was sixteen. They had been in a car accident, their car went up in flames and they died instantly. Bobby took us in. Bobby Singer was my dad's best friend, we used to call him Uncle Bobby, and it was right around the time Jo's dad, Bill died. Jo was real young she doesn't really remember him. Uh, My dad and Bobby and Bill had all been real close so when JOhn and Bill died, me and Sammy and Bobby kinda joined forces with Ellen and Jo and we've been a family ever since." Dean told him.
"I came out a year after my dad died, as bisexual, after that I had a little trouble in school, but my friend Benny stuck by me. He bar tends at Gabe's restaurant. I think I wudda caught more hell for it if I said I was gay and not bi, and the fact that I was on the baseball team helped a little."
"You played baseball?" Cas asked.
Dean nodded, he looked a little disappointed, "I was a good ball player. Really good, I had a ticket to college and everything, maybe even the pros, but then I uh, hurt my shoulder really bad while I was working on a car engine my senior year, haven't been able to play right since."
"You're story," Cas told him, "Is much more sad then mine is, mine was just unlucky, but you are, definitely, one of the most brave people that I've ever met."
Cas tried to show Dean the honesty in his eyes.
"Thanks Cas," Dean said, "That means a lot."
"It's just," Cas frowned at him a little, "I can't..."
"You can't what?" Dean asked.
"I can't wrap my head around why someone as amazing as you would want to try something with me." Cas said simply and it was the truth.
-x-
When Dean heard Cas voice what he thought a relationship was about he was surprised and he couldn't believe that someone wouldn't want to know all about somebody like Cas. Cas was so kind, and so different than everyone else.
But then he heard Cas ask him why he would want to be with him and it almost made Dean cry. Whoever Cas was with before really did some damage.
"Cas, I can't wrap my head around why you would ask that. I don't understand why you don't think you deserve this, I mean there's been times when I genuinely and thoroughly hated myself but I realized why I shouldn't, even if i still do sometimes. But you, you're... god, I think you're perfect. I want to try something like this with you because I can't get you out of my head."
Cas blushed again.
"I'm just not used to this I guess." Cas whispered.
Dean reached to grab his other hand.
"You're going to have to get used to it because I plan on sticking around for a while." Dean told him and Dean couldn't shake the happiness that spread through him when he saw Cas smile at him the way he did.
"I want you stick around Dean."
"So," Dean said returning the smile, "What do you say we head back to my place and leanr about each other?" Dean asked and Cas' cheeks burned red.
Dean's eyes widened, "Oh God, Cas, fuck, not like that. I mean I would love to, but not yet, not until we're both ready. I meant like hang out and watch a movie or something. Or just talk, I love talking with you."
"I'd love that." Cas said and linked his finger's with Dean's.

When Dean and Cas got to Dean and Sam's place Sam's car was still in drive way.
"Have you been here before?" Dean asked.
"A couple of times, all of them when you weren't home. Sam let me stay here once when Lucifer and Gabriel threw a party and I had a test the next day." Cas told him.
"Oh neat, we can get right to talking instead of showing you the annoying tiny house tour." Dean said with a laugh.
"I think you and Sam's home is pleasant." Cas said as they entered the house.
"Thanks Cas." Dean said and they walked into the living room.
Just as they were about to sit on the couch there was a large noise in the kitchen and a wild Moose appeared. Sam was still in his boxers and his hair was a mess.
"Sammy?" Dean asked.
"Dean, where did you hide the pop tarts." Sam said grumpily.
Dean burst out laughing, throwing his head back and resting his hand on his stomach.
"Come on Dean, those are my homework food, they help me concentrate." Sam grouched and Cas couldn't help giggling.
"You already ate two boxes and I bought them three days ago." Dean scolded.
"Dean come onnnn," Sam whined, "Cas tell him I need my snacks to study."
"It's true Dean, they help him focus." Cas said remembering how they were studying together and Sam didn't have anything to do with his hands and he couldn't sit still. Eating distracted his weird ADHD.
"Cas you're supposed to be on my side." Dean huffed.
"No he's not Dean, he's my best friend." Sam pouted.
"Yeah but I'm charming and he can kiss me. He doesn't get to or want to kiss you." Dean said grinning.
"I'm not siding with either of you." Cas said sitting on the couch, "Hash this out yourselves." he grinned as the brother's gave him almost identical pouts and puppy dog eyes.
"No!" Cas said shutting his eyes and face planting into a pillow. "Leave the puppy dog eyes out of this! And Sam please go put on some pants."
Sam looked down at himself and blushed, "Sorry Cas," Sam said and then said to Dean, "I will find those, and I will get you back for this jerk."
"Whatever bitch," Dean laughed, and then sat down on the couch with Cas. He poked Cas in the side and grabbed the smaller man's wrist and pulled him into a sitting position. Cas took the pillow with him and kept it on his face.
"C'mon Cas, Sammy's gone and now we can snuggle on the couch." Dean said trying to pull the pillow away from his face.
Cas slowly pulled the pillow away and onto his lap, Dean couldn't get over how cute he looked with pink cheeks and messy hair.
"You like to snuggle?"
"Fuck, I'm a god damn cuddle monster, ask Jo, but do not tell Sammy, promise?"
"Promise," Cas said grinning.
Dean scooted over so he was sitting fully on the couch and took one of the more flat pillows and put it on his lap. He patted the pillow, "Lay down Cas, I wanna play with your hair."
Cas grinned and did as he was told, "I love when people play with my hair." he whispered and Dean grinned as hue dug his fingers into the soft dark locks.
"That's it Cas, I just learned something about you." Dean said with a grin.
"Okay so tell me something about you." Cas challenged.
"I love pie."
"Okay..." Cas said smiling.
"No like it's almost a fetish Cas, I love pie. Any kind, all of it. The crust, the different fillings, everything. It's so fucking delicious. I would seriously consider harming myself to get a good slice of pie."
Dean waited for Cas' reaction, worried that he'd weird-ed the guy out when Cas burst out laughing, rolling around on his back, his head moving around on Dean's lap.
Dean grinned, and Cas said, "I was not wrong when I said you were extraordinary."
"You're turn Cas." Dean said tugging on his hair lightly.
"I've always loved cats, and one time when I was six I found a kitten in our back yard and it was hungry and dirty so I tried to bath it by myself and locked myself in the bathroom with it. Lucifer and Gabriel came home and found me in my bathing suit with the kitten in the bathtub. We were both soaking wet and there were bubbles everywhere. We kept the kitten though, I named him Gimly, after the dwarf in Lord of the Rings."
Dean chuckled and smiled widely at the image of a six year old Cas and kitten soaking wet in a bath tub.
"That's fucking adorable" Dean grinned, "When uh Sammy was little my parents finally got to have their honey moon so we spent Halloween at Bobby's house and we were supposed to dress up like superheroes, right? I dressed up like Batman and Sam came out and he was wearing my clothes and put brown dots all over his face with a magic marker and I was like 'Sammy where's you're superman costume, you wanted to be a super hero.' and he says 'Dean, I am a super hero, I'm you', and I just I broke down. I pulled him into a hug and cried. I haven't cried like that in a long time."
"Wow Dean, tell stories like that more often and man or woman will fall to their knees and ask you to marry them." Cas said honestly, "That was honestly the most adorable and meaningful story I've ever heard."
"Glad it caught you're attention Cas" Dean said smiling down at him.
"I have an unhealthy addiction to Mountain Dew," Cas mused, "But I assure it has definitely not affected my sperm count."
Dean laughed and saw Cas' cheeks burn pink, "Well that's a relief, ain't it?"
Cas nodded and reached up to hold one of Dean''s hands.
"I can sing, I used to sing Sammy to sleep, but I have bad stage fright." Dean told him.
"I can play the piano, maybe we can duet." Cas replied.
"I think people that are shy subconsciously are the most adorable things ever, hence my attraction towards you, well part of it anyways." Dean said.
"Charming guys have always been my weakness but I've never been able to talk to them but then I met you, it's easy to talk to you." Cas admitted.
Dean beamed down at him, the fact that Cas was comfortable around him excited him.
"I hate my hands, because I've been working on cars since I turned fourteen. They're so callused and rough."
Dean watched as Cas lifted his hand and examined it, Cas squinted at it and traced his palm with his finger.
"I love your hands." Cas said, "You're hands tell a story, they've done so much. And they feel nice in mine, my skin iis too soft, I feel your hands ten times more than someone else would, it's amplified. I love it."
"You really know how to make a guy feel special Cas." Dean laughed.
"I hate my voice. I sound like I've constantly got mucus clogged in my throat." Cas admitted.
"Please tell me that was a joke." Dean said seriously.
"Um no..."
"Cas, god, seriously? You're fucking voice was part of the reason I was walking around with a boner last night."
"Really?" Cas asked clearly surprised.
"Yeah Cas, you're voice is sexy as hell."
"Well so is yours, like, why doesn't it have to be so smooth? and deep?" Cas asked almost annoyed, and Dean laughed.
"My legs are slightly bow legged."
"I know, it's cute and endearing, I can't tame my hair."
"Oh I know, it's what caught my eye, it's hot and adorable at the same time, how is that possible."
"I don't like candy."
"Not even chocolate?" Dean asked.
"No I love chocolate, I don't like hard candies, unless their caramel."
"I think licorice is one of the best candies to grace our earth." Dean said.
"Winona Ryder is the only woman I would ever sleep with." Cas said.
Dean laughed out loud, "Good choice, Cas." Dean winked, "Clint Eastwood's son is so hot, but I wouldn't sleep with him because he dresses like I do."
"You're right he's wicked gorgeous, I would totally sleep with him." Cas said blushing, "I hate waking up early. I love sleep, sleeping in is my favorite."
"You probably look adorable after you wake up," Dean said linking their fingers again, "I don't like sleeping to late, but I like waking up in the morning, at like nine. I would love to spend the day with you in bed."
"That sounds...heavenly." Cas blushed, "I was named after an angel. The angel of Thursday."
"That's fitting, you're gorgeous enough to be an angel," Dean grinned when Cas blushed again. "I was born on a Thursday." Cas blushed even more and beamed when Dean said that, "I love making you blush."
"You're very good at it." Cas said sheepishly, "I can't stand when people don't tuck in their chairs. I'm kind of oblivious to a lot of things and I run into them when they're not tucked in."
Dean giggled, he friggen giggled, "I hate it when Sam leaves two bites of cereal left in the box. Just finish the cereal god damn."
"I love hugs. Like, I love them, if you can give a good hug then I will never stop asking you for one. I hug Sam all the time." Cas told him and Dean raised an eyebrow.
"I guess it's you're lucky day because Sammy learned to hug from me. I give a mean hug." Dean grinned, "I love hickeys."
"What?" Cas said laughing and blushing.
"I love hickeys." Dean said again, "I don't think they're slutty or anything if you give or receive them from someone you love or care about. I like seeing that I've marked you, or that I have a mark on me, someone knows that I have someone to come home too. Plus they're ridiculously hot."
"I have very bony and prominent hip bones and they're very sensitive. If you rub them or kiss them or bite them, it will not fail to turn me on." Cas said with another blush.
"I've got uh, back dimples, and when people press their fingers into them it turns me on." Dean supplied him with and Cas practically let out a groan.
"Back dimples are so hot."
Dean grinned and tugged his hair a little, "So are prominent hip bones."
"When I was little," Cas said changing the subject, "I used to steal books from the library and never bring them back. We moved around a lot so I just kept them."
"I watched two seasons of Star Trek in one day when I had strep throat once."
"I used to kiss my Aragon poster."
"Yeah well that's not as embarrassing as me beating off to Indiana Jones."
Cas let out a belly laugh and Dean started laughing with him. Soon they were looking into each other's eyes, smiling at one another.
"My favorite color recently changed to blue." Dean whispered.
"Mine used to be purple."
"What is it now?"
"Green." Cas whispered.
Dean pulled Cas up so he was practically sitting in his lap, their faces never moved farther than an inch apart. Dean kissed Cas.
They kissed lightly at first, soft and slow, but then Cas put his arms around Dean's neck and pulled the man closer and kissed him harder. Dean slid his hands down Cas' side and gripped his hipbones and sure enough Cas groaned loudly and battled Dean's tongue for dominance.
Cas then slid his hands down Dean's wonderfully muscled back and gripped his back dimples, and sure enough, Dean moaned like a dirty whore.
They broke away breathing heavily, and then Cas leaned up a little to pull in Dean's bottom lip and roll it between his teeth. Dean broke away and started kissing Cas' neck, he sucked and nibbled and licked over the spot until there was a dark hickey right on his throat.
Cas laughed and started kissing down Dean's neck and stopped right where his collar bones and neck met, and left his own considerably dark hickey there.
They smiled at each other.
"I really really like you Cas." Dean said in a husky voice.
"I will bet you three pies that I like you more." Cas whispered back and Dean's face broke into a jaw splitting grin.
"Tomorrow, I don't have work until three, can I take you out to lunch before that?" Dean asked.
"Yeah sure, I get off at the book store at one and I don't have soccer practice until three thirty."
"I'll pick you up at JOdy's bookstore then?"
"SOunds lovely." Cas said and kissed behind Dean's ear, and continued mouthing down his jaw and back onto his neck.
Dean pulled him away and kissed him again.
"If you kept doing that, we wouldn't have made it to at least the second date. I don't wanna rush this Cas."
"Sorry, neither do I, I guess it's easy to get carried away when I have a gorgeous man in front me that I can actually kiss."
"I know what you mean." Dean said grinning.
"Where'd Sam go?" Cas asked suddenly.
"I dunno," Dean mused, "AY SAMMY, YOU STILL HERE?"
"YES I'VE BEEN IN MY ROOM STUDYING AND EATING POPTARTS. I FOUND THEM. CAN I COME OUT NOW?" he yelled back.
"SURE, CAS IS LEAVING."
Dean led Cas to the door after he said goodbye to Sam.
"Bye Cas, have fun at soccer practice." Dean said pulling him forwards for a kiss.
"Dean?"
"Yeah Cas?"
"Can I have a hug?"
"I thought you'd never ask." Dean smiled and wrapped his arms around Cas as the younger boy wrapped his arms around Dean's waist. Dean held him tightly and dug his fingers into Cas' back. He breathed with Cas and kissed the top of his head. They pulled back a little.
"You are an amazing hugger." Cas whisper in his ear and then kissed him again, "Bye Dean."
Dean went back into the house, Gabriel picked Cas up after Dean offered three times to drive him home, and Sam was sitting on the couch grinning up at him.
"You fell so hard for Cas, holy fuck." his little brother said.
"Yeah no shit Sam." Dean said smiling and sitting next to him, "I think I'm already in love with him." Dean whispered.
