A/N: Hey guys! Sorry it's been so long since I updated. I started high school a few weeks ago and we normally have a minimum of at least one test and one project due every week, so it's a lot of work. But hopefully I'll find more time and inspiration to keep writing. Anywho~I don't own South Park, enjoy!
Chapter 6: Stan
"Would you put me down?" I groan, trying not to sound too whiny as Kyle carried me back to my house from the café.
"You used to love it when I did this," he chuckled. "Even before we were dating."
"Maybe," I sigh, holding his shoulders so I don't fall. "But I've probably put on a lot of weight since the last time you did it."
"Oh please. You look exactly the same as when we were twelve."
I give him a funny look to make him think I was insulted. Honestly, I really wasn't. I was just curious to see if I could get a reaction.
As I assumed, his face turned pink and he stumbled over his words. "Er-I mean, you don't look fat. You look perfect, like always. You know?"
I smirk as he finally puts me down when we reach my front door. Though as soon as he does I just push myself back into him for a hug. "Thanks."
He kissed my forehead and attempted to pick me up again, but I unlocked the door and ran inside as fast as I could. He followed behind and chased me up the stairs and into my bedroom.
I flopped down onto my bed and he joined me, not before shutting the door behind himself. He hugged me against himself and cupped my face in his hands. He kissed me again, and again, and again. I felt myself go even redder as he pulled off my hat to play with my thinning hair.
I didn't how long we lied there making out, but as soon as Kyle remembered, we were on the floor with our textbooks open.
"Can you help me?"
He chuckled as he moved next to me to look at my scratch paper and hold my hand.
"Didn't you learn how to solve equation in seventh grade?" he asked, making me feel even more stupid.
I look down at the floor. "I'm sure we learned…well, the class learned."
He rubbed my back. "Hey, it's okay. I can just show you. There's nothing to it."
I look up, feeling the embarrassment on my face. "Sorry."
"For what?"
"For being so damn stupid."
He frowned and looked guilty. "You're not stupid, Stan."
"Whatever. I can't do anything on my own…I'd say that's pretty damn stupid."
He sighed and I felt even worse for being such an insecure burden.
"Stop being so damn insecure. That's your only issue."
"I'm sorry." I sigh, feeling his thumb massage my hand.
"And stop apologizing so much."
I sigh again, laying my head on his shoulder. I don't really know what to say at this point.
"You ready to learn equations?"
"I guess."
"Okay."
As he began to teach me how to subtract numbers from both sides and all the rest that apparently goes with solving equations, I tried my hardest to pay attention. Except I hadn't eaten all day, minus that baby carrot Kyle practically shoved down my throat, so I really wasn't awake enough for this.
"So then you divide both sides by the numbed attached to x, to get x by itself. Okay?" he asked, just to make sure I'm paying attention.
"Yeah." I nod, still feeling him rub my hand.
"So on this one, the number attached to x is six. So you divide twelve by six and get two. So x equals two. Okay?"
I nod again, wanting him to just pretend like we didn't have homework so we could do what we were doing before.
"Okay. You want to try this next one by yourself?"
I nod and grab the paper and pencil to attempt the problem the best I could.
I looked over the problem. 12x + 3= 39
So first you subtract three from both sides. I wrote that down.
Then 12x = 36. Thirty six divided by twelve is three. I wrote that out to solve it.
So x = 3. I wrote that down too, before showing it to Kyle.
"Did I do it right?"
He nodded, flashing his cute, dimpled grin.
"Praise God." I smile, beginning to work out the rest before I forgot how to do it.
Soon enough the ten problems were done and shoved back into my binder. Kyle sat cross-legged, his back against my bed, and I laid down with my head his lap.
He played with my hand and leaned down to kiss me every once in a while. If this wasn't considered a form of heaven, I wouldn't know why. It's definitely a highlight in my life.
"Hey Stan?" I was glad to hear his voice after we'd been quiet for a while.
"Yep?"
"…why are you so damn insecure?"
I tried to avoid his gaze, afraid he could tell when I lie. Because I couldn't tell him the truth.
I only shrugged and held his hand in mine, hoping the question would be dropped.
"Stan…"
"I don't know, Kyle." I sigh. "Maybe it's because I'm a gay teenage boy. Have you thought of that?"
He chuckled sheepishly and I felt bad. I didn't mean to snap at him, though food restriction is making me more grumpy than usual. I already have a pretty bad temper and attitude about things. The day my parents agree to buy me antidepressants is the day I could die happy.
"I'm just worried about you, Stanny."
"I know. I…just don't worry about me. I'm honestly fine."
"Okay. But I just want to let you know that if you think you're not the most beautiful thing in the world, you're wrong."
"Kyle, please. I think we both know the most beautiful thing in this world is Beyoncé."
He chuckled. "Well, I think you're even more beautiful than Beyonce."
"That's either a sin or the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me."
"We'll just say it's both."
I agree and we both chuckle, before he pulls me up to sit on his lap.
I face him and lay my tired head on his shoulder. I try and listen to his heartbeat as he nuzzles his nose into my neck.
"I love you." He mumbles in my ear.
I mumble the same back and feel him rub circles on my back with his thumbs.
I then lifted my head and pressed my lips to his and feel that little spark of love and magic that happens every time I kiss him. A chill crawls up my spine and shocks my heart into beating faster.
I like to put my hand on his chest, because I feel his heart do the same. It's nice to know that I have the same effect on him that he has on me.
Our kisses were so heated, I was too distracted to think about anything else. I couldn't think about school, or about calories and food. Nothing. And I certainly didn't think about my dad opening my door to ask what I wanted for dinner.
But that's exactly what happened.
"Stan, what do you want for-"
He didn't even finish his sentence before looking up to see Kyle and I. Our lips were locked, I was in his lap and Kyle's arms were all around me…I'm sure we couldn't have been in a more compromising position.
Especially since my dad overreacts to everything. But I can't blame him for being surprised about this one.
"Sh-Sharon!" He cried, calling for my mom and rushing down the stairs as Kyle and I still sat there, dumbstruck.
Shit.
