Okay I don't know what I'm doing, but I keep closing this tab on accident and I had this horribly cheesy speech already written. Jeez. Frustration. I am currently sitting in the library listening to twenty one pilots, (well now it's Lorde) and I don't know what to do now. I have written the epilogue guys. I don't know. Let's do this speech thing.
I started writing this thing in early February and started posting in April. Never in my life did I imagine that this fanfiction would receive the attention it did, or have such devoted fans as it does. I seriously appreciate every single one of you. I'm so glad that through all the laughs, pain, and feels that this story contained, I was able to share with all of you guys. Now most of you are rolling your eyes at this horribly cheesy speech, and that's alright. That's all the sappy stuff I can muster up today lol. I love you guys!
This is the last acknowledgement session I'll get to do for To Break Walls... LET'S DO IT.
No new followers to welcome this time around, (Which makes sense as it would be stupid to follow a story that has ended lol.) Thank all of you who have followed the story, whether you were here with me from the beginning, or have just recently discovered this thing of mine!
Thanks for the favorites: Alya Andel, SeinfieldFreak, SnowFire1996, and Mythomagic101! Thanks to all who have favorited my story!
Finally for my reviewers. You guys freakin' rock. I had 533 reviews at the end of this story and I appreciate every review that anyone has left!
Alrighty. Now it's time for the epilogue. It's in Elsa's view, for those of you who were wondering. I didn't really label it as that, but it is as you'll obviously read. Okay. You ready? I'm not, but here we go anyway!
Epilogue
11 years later...
"Do you think that's him?"
I looked at Jack, giving him a small smile. We were sitting up in the tree, watching a small group of children playing in a park. His eyes were wide, and his voice was astonished. I looked at the boy he was referring to. The boy was around twelve, with brown hair, and deep brown eyes. I glanced back up at Jack, contemplating my response.
"Well let's wait until they call his name."
"That has to be him, Elsa. He... he looks so similar to me." Upon seeing my confused expression, he added, "When I was human."
It had been my idea for Jack to track his lineage, thinking it might be a fun task for him. I had tracked down my own lineage five years back. I had been curious to see if there was any trace of magic in any of descendants, but there hadn't been. I had been able to see Anna's great grandchildren, as well as her great-great grandchildren. While searching, every other generation would have a girl that looked exactly like Anna. I'd cried the first time I'd seen Harmony, who had at the time been around eighteen and looked exactly like Anna had. None of the descendants had seen me, and after repeated attempts I had moved on. I still checked in every now and then, just to make sure everything was okay.
Jack had started in the village, now town, where he and his sister, had grown up, going down the line until they ended up here in South Carolina. The boy he was looking at was his potential great-great-great nephew.
"Hey, Alex!" one of the other boys called, gesturing to the brown-haired boy. He ran over to them, moving his hand to his hat to secure it while he ran.
"It's him!" Jack shouted enthusiastically, a wide smile taking over his features. "I knew it was him! I just knew it!"
I laughed lightly. We continued to look down on them from the tree, and I laced my fingers through his. He gave my hand a quick squeeze, and continued looking down at the group of kids excitedly.
"He can throw a snowball! That kid's a natural! Let's go down and play with them! Granted, they don't see us, but we can still provide ammo and make it fun!"
"We do have a couple of things to do," I reminded him. "You promised Parker and Maria a snow day today." Parker and Maria were Lissa's younger cousins, introduced to us a couple years back. Twins, they were both around eight years old right now.
Lissa had gone on to become a historian, taking classes at a local college just outside of Arendelle. Jamie was majoring in mythology, and was currently enrolled in a college in Maine. Her and Jamie were both about twenty-two now, and had become great friends. Every month or so, Jack would take Jamie to visit her in Arendelle. Upon watching them, it became evident that there was something about them together, but when I brought it up to Jack, he'd insisted that I was seeing things.
"Jamie and Lissa? That would be the weirdest thing in the world. They're just friends."
Dissatisfied with that answer, I'd gone to talk to Lissa about it only to catch Jamie and her in a rather passionate embrace. I had blushed fiercely, leaving before they could realize I had been there. Jack had laughed when I'd told him, but I made him swear to never bring it up to either one of them in fear of embarrassing them.
"And, don't forget, I still wanted to visit North," I told him. He sighed, looking back at the kids.
"Alright. Just one quick snowball." I laughed as he jumped down from the tree, throwing snowballs at all the kids. A war broke up, but I sat up in the tree far out of reach. I watched Jack run around a bit, until he came up to me, out of breath.
"Yep, that's definitely my nephew! Man that kid can throw a snowball! Did you see the way he pelted that one kid? It was one of the best head shots I've ever seen!"
"I saw," I replied with a smile. "Are you ready to go?"
He looked down at the kids and I added in a softer voice, "We can always come back, you know."
Jack smiled at me, giving a nod. "Let's go to North's then. What was it you wanted to speak to him about anyways?"
"Just an idea I had."
He grabbed my hand, and then we were flying through the air. With as many believers as Jack had, he was now able to fly at greater speeds, and no longer required his staff. However, he still used it wherever he went. When I'd asked him why, he'd just replied, "It's easier, and I've used it for over 300 years. It's just apart of me."
When we arrived at North's, he was in his office looking over blueprints. His eyes twinkled and he broke into a big smile when he saw us walk in.
"Jack! Elsa! What brings you here? You two haven't been messing up Easter have you? Well, Jack hasn't has he?"
I gave Jack a look and he laughed, running a hand through his hair.
"She's been keeping me on track," he admitted, shooting a guilty smile at me.
"Have you heard from Tooth? I haven't talked to her in a while. I was just thinking that I should call a Guardians meeting," North said.
"I talked to her a month or so ago," I piped in. "She seems to be doing well. She has a whole new security system for the teeth, and I believe they're more efficient than ever."
"That's good. So what bring you two here? Anything wrong?"
"No," I spoke up, glancing at Jack. "I actually had an idea."
"What is it?"
"I had an idea that we could help you make toys! I mean, obviously not full time. But every now and then we could drop by and help, if you were having trouble. See, we do this."
I focused my hands and put them together. When I opened them, there was an icy sculpture of a wind-up toy. I brought it over to North and set it in his hands. He looked at me curiously, waiting for me to go on.
"And then you use your magic to bring the toy to life! What do you think?"
North set the ice toy down on his desk, and walked over to a cabinet. He rummaged around a little bit before he pulled out a purple bottle. Then he walked back over and carefully applied a drop to the toy. He watched carefully as the toy changed from ice to a real toy and then started to drive around.
"Brilliant," he whispered. He turned to me, his eyes big. "This is brilliant! Yes, we could do this every now and then. I'm glad you came up with this!"
"I'm glad you approve," I said, giving him a smile. "Well, I think we should be going. We do have a snow day to deliver!"
"Alright! I will call a Guardian meeting soon enough, and you can tell the others your idea there. Thanks for dropping by!"
"Anytime," Jack called over his shoulder. He turned back to me once we were on the roof, getting ready to go towards Arendelle. "You know you're amazing, right? Wow, why didn't you tell me the idea before we went to North's?"
"I just wanted it to be a surprise!" I exclaimed, as he entwined his fingers with mine. "Do you think it was good?"
"It was pretty good. Didn't you see the look on North's face?" He laughed. "Let's go deliver that snow day."
Once we were in Arendelle, our presence already had the snow coming down fast and thick. We stood there on a snowbank, a couple yards away from the treeline, watching as the horizon lightened. The sun still had another couple of hours until it was due to come up, so there would be plenty of time for the snow to accumulate, as well as time for other things. The kids wouldn't be up for a few hours.
Jack squeezed my hand, getting my attention. His thoughts were in sync with mine. "We still have a couple hours until the sun rises. We can play with Parker, Maria, and the rest of the kids later today. What do you want to do until then? I'm up for anything that does not involve snow creatures."
I choked back my laughter as I shook my head. A couple years back, while in the ice house that resided in Antarctica, Jack had decided to try and hit me with a snowball. Unfortunately for him, he had accidentally hit one of the snow creatures that lived there. Now he could barely step foot in the vicinity without getting menacing glares from all the snow creations.
I met his gaze with a smile, raising an eyebrow. "Anything? How about a race then?"
He looked a little startled by my answer, but his lips curved upward into a smirk. "Where to?"
I gestured my head up towards the ice castle. "Just up there. Winner gets ten points."
Jack's eyes widened and he laughed. We had just started to keep points a year or so ago, after I recalled the game from one of my human memories with Jack. I was currently in the lead with five points, and didn't normally consent to playing for points as to keep my title.
"Ten points? What has you in such a good mood tonight?"
"Maybe I'll tell you when I beat you up there," I teased. I let go of his hand, and we both took stance. "On the count of three. One-"
"Two, three!" Jack finished and before I could blink, he was flying towards the castle laughing. I knew that he had beat me already.
"Jack Frost, you are such a cheater!" I yelled after him, getting ready to take off. But before I did, I heard a noise behind me that stopped me. There was something too familiar about that sound, something from another life.
I turned around, scanning the area around me. I didn't perceive anything, but then in the darkness of the treeline, I could make out an interruption in the scenery. I strained my eyes, taking a step closer as to see better. Upon closer examination, I could make out a figure. And then I saw the eyes.
He stared back at me a moment with his golden luminous eyes, and then lowered his head. I stared at him, frozen and astonished all at once. Not once in these eleven years had I seen him, heard of him, or spoke of him. Now here he was right before me.
Beside him there was a Nightmare, though not quite it's full size if I recalled correctly. It snorted, and I realized that was where I had recognized the sound from.
I didn't know what to say, if I could say anything. He raised his eyes up to me once more, and the moonlight shining down lit up the features of his face. His eyes seemed ancient, but then hadn't they always? I stood there, raising my hand to my chest, unsure of what to do.
"Elsa? Elsa, come on. I hope you're not sulking because I beat you."
My head snapped up at the sound of Jack's voice, and I turned back to Pitch. He glanced briefly towards the direction of Jack's voice and then looked calmly back at me. I raised my hand in a brief wave, and gave a small smile. He looked at me a long moment longer, gave a curt nod, and then disappeared into the forest.
I stared after him, and then jumped when I felt a hand on my arm.
"What are you doing, Elsa?" Jack asked me, concern in his voice. "Are you okay?"
I was silent for a moment longer, before turning back to him and giving him a reassuring smile. "Sorry, yeah. Just got caught up in my thoughts."
"What were you thinking about?" he asked me, his voice light and playful again.
"That you are a cheater!" I laughed, poking his chest hard. His hand caught mine before I could pull it back, and he held it there with his on his chest. I could feel his heartbeat under my fingers, and I glanced up at his face.
"Are you going to tell me why you're in such a good mood tonight?" he asked me softly, a knowing smile on his face. I flushed and looked back down at our hands.
"I'll give you a hint. He has frost powers."
He chuckled and then leaned down, pressing his lips against mine. He kissed me slowly and softly, making my heart race in my chest. A surge of rightness went through me, and I took my hand away to wrap my arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. He wrapped his arms around me, crushing me tighter against him.
After a few more moments, I moved my head away, kissing the corner of his lips, and then his cheek. We stayed there for a moment, calming our heartbeats and catching our breath.
"You know I love you, right? Because I really do." Jack told me, still a bit breathless
"I know," I said, my eyes still closed and a smile on my face. "I love you too."
"I'd hope so. Because forever is a pretty long time to be stuck with me."
I pondered this, and the thought of forever with Jack filled me the utmost feeling of happiness.
"It is a long time. I wouldn't have it any other way."
The End
YES THAT'S THE FREAKING END. OMG. So I really enjoyed writing the epilogue, just everything in general. I gave you Lissa and Jamie fans some satisfaction lol. Better be happy with that because it just kinda spawned out of my typing hands and I looked at it and said, "Oh. Okay. I guess they're kinda together now."
For those of you who see Pitch in the epilogue and are freaking out, don't. Pitch is one of my favorite characters in this story, and was a bit portion of writing it for me. So I thought he should have his little scene in the epilogue.
For those of you who are expecting a sequel, I'm sorry to say but I think you are going to be disappointed. I don't really have a sequel planned, as what could you possibly make a sequel of off this? Any sequel about trouble with Pitch would be faaar over doing things, and I'm not going to make Jack and Elsa have babies lol. They're immortal.
I am sad that this is over, but kind of content. I'm going to post this and now I can officially hit the complete button on the site. The story has reached it's end dear readers, and I'm glad you were here to witness it.
So leave me a review of what you thought? What was your favorite part of the story? Least favorite part? I would enjoy hearing from all of you who take the time to read this!
Thank you so much for reading this guys. I'm so glad you did. May your days be awesome and full of joy! I suppose I'll see you guys around then :)
Farewell for now! ~freezeon98
