Epilogue

You can probably guess what happened next. It turned out that I had not only destroyed the Tau'ri Chappa'i, but made a large portion of North America uninhabitable too, as the SGC had been storing two nuclear weapons for use against the Ori. Regardless, with the Ori threat gone after we discovered something called the Ark of Truth, Baal and I turned our attention to Earth. The battle was quick and decisive and in less than two weeks the planet was ours. The remaining SG teams who were off-world at the time, including the remainder of SG1, had cobbled together an assortment of ships from the rebel Jaffa and the Tok'ra and launched a counter-attack. The Tok'ra-led ships were wiped out and the rebel Jaffa fell apart after the two motherships carrying the Council members and Master Bra'tac were destroyed. Leaderless, they pledged their allegiance to Baal and myself and on our orders, killed all members of the Tau'ri on their ships.

In order to fully subdue Earth, I gave the order, without Baal's knowledge, to wipe out all the major cities. However, I did order the Ancient outpost to remain untouched. We could learn from it. I also dispatched a mothership to destroy the Alpha Site.

I took a very real pleasure in personally hunting down as many of the SG teams and anyone with knowledge of the Stargate programme as I could and killing them. We felt a visceral thrill at the looks on the faces of the Tau'ri who had known me before I was Anat as I killed them, knowing that I sided wholeheartedly with her.

Baal and I immediately started a campaign to implant symbiotes in every child of age. Fortunately, we had reduced the population by just over two-thirds, so we did not need as many as we feared. We further eliminated all the elderly members of society so they would not be a burden to us.

A very real fear was that the Atlantis base would somehow hear and come for us. We knew the city could fly, although we had destroyed all other Earth ships. But they did not come and we never knew why. Perhaps they were destroyed trying to get here.

The galaxy eventually fell under the undisputed control of Baal and myself. Many of the planets now free from Ori control gratefully accepted "protection" from Baal and I and came into our possession, especially after we modified the Ark. Baal gave me Earth to do with as I pleased. The first thing I did was to ban stargates on the planet for three hundred years; enough time to ensure the population grew dependent on symbiotes and the Goa'uld. We made use of the Ark to blind many into obedience. We ordered the construction of temples (and a ring platform) honouring us so that the Tau'ri would know their Gods and gave orders for the destruction of all other temples and religious buildings. When people protested, we simply killed them. A smaller population was much easier to control anyway. Any resistance was completely obliterated. My Jaffa were well-ordered and efficient and the body count rose. Eventually we reduced the population to approximately one hundred million. Some of these were sent to work as slaves in naqadah mines; others to boost population on decimated worlds. The remainder were ordered to work on the land and make it farmable. Without prior knowledge of us and no access to their technology, the majority of the planet crumbled into obedience. Baal and Anat became the Gods of the Galaxy.
