Chapter 4: No Regrets

Albus stood frozen, no, more like a statue made of marble. The sight before him was unbelievable, it couldn't be happening!

"They look so happy." Lily's voice zapped Albus out of his immobility.

"Happy?! Hugo's kissing a boy, and its Malfoy! That's just wrong! Wrong, wrong, wrong!" Albus kept himself from screaming, but only because he didn't want anyone else to see what he was seeing.

Lily raised an eyebrow, that look on her face."How exactly is that wrong?"

"Because it is! Everything about it is wrong! Everything!" Albus stated, he felt a little fear at the look his sister was giving him as he said those words. But he kept going, ignoring the danger he was heading towards.

"Albus Severus Potter, I know you were raised better than being an ignorant pig, if another word squeals out of that mouth of yours... Let's just say you'd wish that you were never born." Lily's eyes sparked with fire, daring Albus to keep going.

Albus' mouth opened and closed in shock. To Lily he looked like a fish out of water. It was extremely funny and she normally would have laughed her ass off at it on any other day but today Albus was being a troll and she would do whatever it took to protect two of the best people in the world.

Albus scowled and walked away before he did anything to push Lily over the edge. She could be vicious if you pissed her off.

Hugo let his lips linger on Scorpius' for a few more seconds. He really didn't want to pull away, Scorpius made him so happy. His unattainable dream had finally become reality. All those years of having feelings for his best friend, all those hours of thinking only of Scorpius... now he really was his.

With a little sigh of regret, Hugo finally pulled away from Scorpius' lips. He let go of his lips but he didn't the blond leave the circle of his arms.

"You know, I didn't think you liked dudes. If I had, I would have went after you a long time ago." Scorpius grinned up at the younger teen. Even though Scorpius was the older one, he was at least six inches shorter than Hugo. That used to bug him but now... Now he found that he enjoyed tilting his head up so Hugo could capture his lips with his own. It gave him a tingly feeling that he found extremely enjoyable.

"I have to go, I just didn't want to not tell you. I'm sorry it even took me this long..." Scorpius blushed, dropping his eyes. Since Hugo was still holding him, the only place he could settle his eyes was Hugo's chest.

"Its alright. I understand why it took you so long." Hugo murmured, Scorpius looked back up at him with a tiny smile on his face. "I'll meet you in the kitchen before curfew."

Scorpius nodded and brought Hugo's head down again for another kiss before walking away. The blond couldn't help but look over his shoulder, wishing he could stay.

Hugo turned and noticed Lily hiding discreetly down the hall. She motioned him over. With a grin plastered on his face, Hugo headed over to his cousin.

"Hey Lily, why are you over here snooping?" Hugo teased as he stopped right in front of the redhead.

Lily threw a half-hearted punch at his arm. "Who say's I was snooping? But first off, what did I tell you? Worried for nothing!"

Hugo chuckled, his eyes dancing in happiness.

Lily smiled, then the smile wavered. "Hugo... You need to watch out for Albus."

"Watch out for Albus? What do you mean?" He asked, confusion clear on his face.

"He saw you and Scorpius kissing. He didn't like it. At all." Lily bit her lip in worry. "I set him straight but he might do something to Scorpius Just watch him alright?"

Hugo nodded slowly. He had never told Scorpius but the only reason Albus had even been civil to him was because Hugo had told him that Scorpius was his best friend and if he ever did anything to him, he would regret it. That was the only reason he basically ignored Scorpius. With Albus seeing them kiss... Albus was as closed-minded about same-sex relationships as his grandparents generation. More so. That was one reason he'd kept his secret so long. Well he hadn't really told Lily, so if she hadn't found out about it he would have never said anything until he graduated and moved out of his parents house.

That plan was definitely down the toilet, Albus had probably already told all their cousins, with owls speeding to his parents and aunts and uncles. He'd probably sent one to their grandparents too.

"He's going to make my life a living hell, isn't he?" Hugo muttered to himself. He didn't think that Lily could hear him.

"He's sure going to try." Lily replied, slipping her arm through Hugo's and towed him back to their homework. "Don't worry about anyone else. They aren't as judgemental as that brother of mine."

Hugo raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Really?"

Lily smirked. "Really. Remember my muggle friend? They all think I'm going out with her. I haven't really said anything to contradict that though. And who knows, it might even happen some day."

Hugo blinked in surprise then smiled. "You've known I've liked guys for a long time, haven't you?"

"Of course! But only because I've watched all our male cousins grow up. You followed Louis' path more than James'. " Lily chuckled at the look on his face. "Now, back to work. I'm pretty sure once Scorpius' free, you won"t open a book for the rest of the night."

Hugo blushed, he couldn't deny the truth.

"No regrets?" Scorpius asked as he snuggled closer to Hugo on their big couch. It had taken him years to get their house to the way he wanted. Now it was them, everything in the house reflected who they were. It had taken a while but this space was finally their own.

"No regrets." Hugo kissed Scorpius on the forehead.

A/N: Thank you again and I hope you enjoyed this short fic!

P.S. I have no idea why I made Albus an ass in this fic. He's usually one of the good guys in everything that I write that has to do with him.
