Okay, so this update has been a long time coming. I was going to try and get it posted around Christmas, but that obviously did not happen. Sorry. Hope you enjoy and feel free to leave feedback like if I mixed something up or if there's anything you want to happen, either in first semester (as students) or second (as teachers). Thanks and I hope you like it!

After all of the witches and wizards had vacated the classroom the demigods laughed for more than a minute and the Stolls for a total of two and a half.

After everyone got quiet Reyna spoke up. "I can't believe that none of them believe that the Greek gods are real."

"It is a lot at first," Percy said remembering when he first got to camp and was told everything from Greek mythology is in fact real and still around.

"No kidding," said Nico. He remembered when he was suddenly thrust into a different time period on top of finding out the myths and legends were true.

"But the evidence is overwhelming," said Annabeth.

"Yeah," sighed Percy, "but it took time for me to believe all this stuff."

"One thing you must remember," said Binns, "is that muggle-borns, like Miss Granger, went to ordinary mortal and muggle schools before they came here. They were raised in a world where science is reality and are not related to the mythical world by blood or otherwise."

"I guess having a divine parent kinda helps speed the process along," said Katie. "We have weird things happen around us and the divine world helps explain it. They don't have that."

"Fair point," said Reyna.

"Yeah," said Will. "But there are enough of us here, with a wide enough variety of talents, that we could create a few supernatural and… super-magical occurrences to encourage their belief."

"Basically give them the weird occurrences we had growing up," Travis mused.

"That's brilliant," said Connor.

"Not going to happen," said Annabeth. "Those things happened to us because we're demigods. If there are strange occurrences around them, then they might start to believe they have powers outside what they do and it could get someone hurt."

"I agree with Ms. Chase," said Professor Binns. "Each and every wizard had their fair share of strange events before they knew they had magic called unintentional magic, they used magic without their wand or their knowledge of doing so."

"Aww," Connor and Travis whined.

"Don't worry," said Katie. "There's still the whole of the Forbidden Forest for you guys to goof off in."

"That's true," said Will.

There was a bit of movement at the door and, out of reflex, all the demigods turned to see who was at the door. They were all relatively surprised to see a nervous looking Draco standing in the doorway of the classroom looking very awkward and out of place. He looked around the room and his eyes landed on Percy.

"May I speak with you in private?" he asked the son of Poseidon in a very quiet voice.

Nearly everyone in the room was suddenly on edge. Almost every time someone wanted to see them alone, especially at school, said person turned out to me a monster that wanted demigod for lunch. But Percy being Percy just smiled and nodded before following Draco out of the room. The rest of the half-bloods watched the leave and were glaring holes in the back of Draco's head.

"Relax," said Professor Binns. "While Draco may have been working for the Dark Lord before, he has had a change of heart. He isn't evil and if he is your kind of monster then he is the best disguised and dumbest monster I have ever met. He has never killed or eaten any of the students so it's a waste of time if his disguise is that good."

Nico chuckled quietly. "We know he's not a monster, and Percy could handle himself, but I am just wary that this whole new leaf thing is all an act and he's going to try something funny."

"Fair enough," said Binns.

"Besides," said Hazel, "he probably just wants to talk to Percy about the pegasi."

"Pegasi?" Binns asked.

Annabeth huffed and rolled her eyes, but explained what had happened during Care of Mythical Creatures starting with Blackjack showing up and ending with the pegasus flying lesson that crosses paths with broomstick flying lesson.

Binns chuckled and said: "I would be willing to bet that is not the strangest thing the son of Poseidon has done."

Frank nodded and said: "Not even close."

It was at that point that Percy and Draco reentered the room. Draco looked very nervous and Percy had his something-serious-is-happening look on his face. But of course Percy saw Draco's nervousness and did what he always did: kill the tenseness with awkwardness.

"He's not a monster," he declared dramatically with his usual manic grin that he'd perfected after Tartarus.

Annabeth rolled her eyes but was smiling all the same, used to Percy's antics. The Stolls didn't even bother to hide their laughter. Will smirked while Nico shook his head before plopping it into his hands. Jason and Reyna as well as Frank and Hazel exchanged knowing looks. Clarisse smirked. Leo gave Percy a big smile and the hand signal for 'okay'. Draco seemed to relax after Percy broke the ice.

"We figured Seaweed Brain," Annabeth said with a smile. Percy shot her a big cheesy smile.

"I know, but I'm just breaking the ice," Percy said giving them a look. They knew that look well enough. It said: 'This person is new to what they're doing, cut them some slack.' So everybody relaxed and didn't look like they were about to jump up and attack Draco.

"Alright then," said Jason clapping his hands together to get everybody's attention. "So what's up?"

"I'd bet one hundred denarii that Kelp-for-Brains blew his cover in one day," Reyna said with a little grin.

Percy looked like he was going to say something else before he said: "Kinda."

"How is it kinda?" asked Hazel. She and Frank had known Percy long enough, and through enough, to know that this would be a funny explanation.

"He thinks my father is Zeus," Percy stated simply in a deadpan tone. Behind Percy Draco looked like he thought it was a perfectly legitimate idea and couldn't figure out why Percy thought it was ridiculous.

The group exchanged looks before the trouble twins, the blonde boy with bright blue eyes, the pale boy in nearly all black, the large really scary looking girl, the girl with red hair and green eyes, and the blonde girl with curly hair all burst into roaring laughter while the other exchange students had pained grins. The twins even fell out of their chairs they were laughing so hard. Perseus merely stood with a smirk. Draco didn't understand what had happened. Apparently his original idea was totally wrong, this guy was a demigod, but not a son of Zeus.

One of the twins looked like he was trying to say something but all that came out was a gasping "His son!" before the laughter doubled and redoubled.

Finally the blonde girl was able to get control of herself but the other demigods that were still laughing were still snickering and giggling. "You are correct that Percy here is a demigod, but Zeus is his uncle."

"I don't understand how that is so funny," said Draco sheepishly. He was quiet obviously missing some large piece of information.

"They don't have the greatest relationship," said the pale boy in black.

"Not the greatest relationship?" snorted the scary girl. "They practically hate each other. At least Zeus hates Prissy's guts."

Draco looked at Perseus who simply shrugged. "Yeah, we don't get along at all. He is stubborn, arrogant, and ignorant."

Draco gaped. Since when could someone call the king of the gods such things? At least he didn't say it to his face.

"When you said that to his face," one of the twins started laughing and his brother quickly joined him.

"You said that to his face?" Draco asked in a hushed whisper and silent horror.

"Uh, yeah," Perseus said looking rather sheepish. "Look, the demigod world just finished with a war that took us halfway across the world and in the beginning of the war Jason and I," Perseus said pointing Jason, the blonde with scar on his lip," were kidnapped by Hera slash Juno, had our memories wiped and were shipped cross country. I was just fed up with Zeus and how he ignored the problem, both in that war and the previous. If we had acted sooner a lot of lives could have been saved."

"So you said all that to his face?" asked Draco.

"Oh there was a ten minute speech behind all that," said the other blonde boy.

The scary girl snickered. "Speech? It was a rant," she said with a laugh. "And Annabeth and I timed it," she said gesturing to the curly blonde, "it was closer to fifteen minutes."

Draco could only stare at the demigod beside him who was still, against all odds apparently, in one piece.

"So yeah," said Perseus, "Zeus and I do not get along so it was pretty funny when you implied that I was his kid."

"I see," said Draco quietly. "So who is your father?"

"Darth Vader!" shouted one of the twins.

Perseus shot him a look and he instantly quieted down. Guess the guy that could rant at Zeus had some major pull in the regular world too. "My father is Poseidon."

"That would make Zeus you uncle," said Draco. "But you have a pegasus just like the first Perseus. And you can speak to it. Plus you have the same hair color, allegedly."

"But Poseidon made horses and his son Pegasus was the first pegasus," said Perseus. "And my dad's hair is black too."

"Oh," said Draco.

"Don't worry," said the blonde girl, Annabeth if he was correct. "If you don't know better, then yeah, it's a simple mistake."

"So are all of you demigods?" Draco asked. They seemed nice enough for the kids of powerful beings.

"Yup," said Annabeth. "Daughter of Athena, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Draco stared open mouthed at the demigods. "It's an honor to meet you."

"Likewise," said the twins with matching smirks. The demigods saw Draco hold his bag a little closer to himself, but, at the same time, relax just a tiny bit.

"So what are we off to next?" Will asked.

Everybody looked at either Annabeth or Reyna. Both rolled their eyes but pulled out their schedules all the same.

"Herbology," said Reyna.

"That's the plant class right?" Nico asked.

"Yup," said Kati. "We'll see you at lunch and maybe try making friends with the ghosts here."

Nico gave a two fingered salute to the demigods, a nod to Binns, and the tiniest smile to Draco before walking into the nearest shadow.

"What just happened?" Draco asked. He knew that apparation was impossible on Hogwarts grounds, but also that apparation tended to make a loud popping noise.

"It's called shadow travel," said Hazel. "Kids of Hades and Pluto can do it with relative ease after enough practice and with the require energy."

"Interesting. But why did he leave?"

"Nico kind of kills the plants he's near," said Clarisse. "Comes with being a kid of the god of the dead."

"I understand," said Draco. "Do you all know where the green house is?"

"Not a clue," said Percy.

"It's that way isn't it?" Kati asked pointing slightly down and to the east of where they were.

"Approximately," said Draco. "How did you know that?"

"I can sense a lot of and a wide variety plants in that area."

"That's incredible," said Draco with a tiny smile. The demigods saw the smile practically light up his face and make him appear a whole lot friendly without the slightly scared look.

"Thank you," said Kati. "But just because I know about where it is doesn't mean that I know how to get there. We've seen the staircases around here and I personally don't know how to navigate them. Any chance you'd be our guide around this massive maze?"

"I'd be honored to." Draco's smile got the tiniest bit bigger and his relaxed just a little bit more. "Should we go there now?"

"I don't see why not," said Percy with a large grin.

Draco returned the grin with a small smile and slung his bag over his shoulder and stood a little taller. "Just follow me then," he said and walked through the doorway into the hall. The demigods picked up their own bags and followed him out. Binns watched the demigods follow the wizard out with a small smile on his face and knew that Draco needed real friends and hoped that he could make real friends with the demigods.

Draco led the group down two flights of stairs before taking a short on back up and leading them into a classroom with windows all along one wall. Kati stared at the ivy that acted as curtains and clung to the window. There were pots of all shapes and sizes along the walls and stacked on shelves and in cupboards. The demigods filed in behind Draco who stood off to the side looking shy, but not awkward, as the demigods looked around.

"Ah," said a plump woman with a mass of grey curls under her pointed hat, "I was wondering if you all would find your way alright."

"We did have some help," said Travis who seemed to just appear by Draco's side.

The professor gave Draco a small smile and nodded to him. "Thank you for helping them Mister Malfoy."

"It was no problem," said Draco quietly, but nodded back.

Professor Sprout smiled back before looking around her classroom.

"I honestly have no idea what I am going to teach you this year," she said with a huff. "They told me that some seventh years would return for a repeat year and that we were having some students visit from across the pond, but I am not entirely sure what to teach you."

"We've all taken up to Advanced Herbology at our school in America," said Annabeth.

"Well that's as good a place to start as any," said the professor scratching her head. "Do you all have anything you want to learn about this year?"

"I am curious about the plants in the surrounding forest," said Kati. "I noticed beech trees that make up a majority of the forest, but I'm also curious what other plants are out there."

"That is an excellent question," Professor Sprout said with a wan smile before she brightened up. "Typically the forest is off limits, but I don't see why I can't convince Dumbledore to allow eighth years and the best and brightest of Salem's Institute of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It's not as though we will go very far."

"Oh that would be wonderful," said Kati.

"Have an interest in Herbology?" Professor Sprout asked Kati.

"Does she ever," said Travis as he slung an arm around her shoulders. "It's her favorite, not to mention best, subject."

"Splendid," said Professor Sprout. "Say, I am having some difficulty growing this devil's snare," she said beckoning Kati over to a door at the side of the room. She opened it revealing a small, rather pathetic looking plant that was withered where it sat in the middle of the dark, damp room. Kati stepped into the room and knelt down to take a closer look at the little plant. "I've grown several to massive proportions using this very method and yet this one refuses to grow."

"What variety of devil's snare did you grow before?" Kati asked as she scrutinized every inch of the plant and the room it was in.

"Eastern constrictor devil's snare," Professor Sprout said.

"Oh," said Kati as she eyed the plant, "I see your problem."

"What is it?"

"This is a western constrictor," said Kati. "It looks a lot like the eastern constrictors but see the ridges on the vine?" she asked as she gingerly held up a small tendril. "The ridges on a western constrictor are slightly larger, but the grooves between them aren't nearly as deep as with the eastern variety. All this snare needs is a few more plants to share space with as well as a few atala caterpillars to keep away parasites and give of certain pheromones that actually help the plant."

"Really?" asked Professor Sprout as she too stepped into the room. "Oh, I see it now too. You have an excellent eye."

Kati blushed but said: "My mother is something of a plant enthusiast and she rubbed off on me a bit."

"Well I should very much like to meet her some time," said Professor Sprout with a small smile.

"She tends to be rather busy most of the year, but I'll ask her if she has time."

Professor Sprout nodded before pulling out her wand, giving it a few flicks with a few choice words, before half a dozen red and yellow caterpillars appeared on the plant.

"Fortunately I still have a few more seeds for western constrictor devil's snare," said Professor Sprout as she walked back out into the main classroom and rifling through a few drawers before pulling out a small pouch and going back into the damp, dark room where Kati was. "Would you help me plant these?"

"Definitely," Kati said with a smile.

The pair worked together to decide where the new plants should go in relation to the original plant. But before long seven other western constrictor devil's snares had been planted, watered, and encouraged with magic to grow to the same size as the first plant. As soon as the vines touched the tips wound together forming what could almost be mistaken for a net that sat on the ground. The demigods heard a few eighth years enter the classroom and come over to where they were watching Kati and Professor Sprout.

"What are they doing?" One boy asked to no one in particular.

"Planting a few more devil's snares," said Will. "Apparently this variety grows only in groups."

"Cool," said the same boy who seemed to have no real interest in the plants but continued watching.

A few minutes later, after the rest of the eighth year witches and wizards entered the room, including Harry, Ron, and Hermione, the bell tolled and Professor Sprout dusted off her hands as she and Kati came back into the main part of the classroom.

"Alright everyone," Professor Sprout said. "You all should know that I am Professor Sprout and that I teach Herbology." A few students snickered and the demigods smiled. "Now, the only real question you should have is what you will be learning this semester. I honestly don't know what you'll be learning either," she said with a wry grin.

A few students exchanged confused looks, but no one said anything.

"However, I would like to know if there are any plants in particular you want to learn more about."

"Can you teach us more about devil's snare?" asked Hermione.

"But of course," said Professor Sprout. "Anyone else? We've already had a request to do a bit of exploring in the Forbidden Forest, so think of something else Mister Finnegan," Professor Sprout said to one of the eighth year boys who had raised his hand.

"Will we actually be going into the forest?" Finnegan asked.

"We'll see," said Professor Sprout. "I'll need to speak with Dumbledore, but I'm sure we'll work something out."

Several of the eighth year students exchanged both excited and slightly frightened looks, but, again, no one said anything.

"Anyone else?"

"What about whomping willows?" Luna asked in her wispy voice. "What makes them swat at everything? Is there a way to get by one without using a spell or the password?"

"Excellent question," said Professor Sprout. "Well then for starters what I am going to have everyone do today is actually the start of what will be a semester long project. I want everyone to pick out one seed and plant it somewhere. It can be in a pot, a window box, or somewhere on the grounds, but you must be the one to nurture it and help it grow. You will keep a log and record anything about the plant in any manner you wish, but they should provide information. But let's have everyone start by picking out a seed. Off you go."

The witches and wizards seemed just as nervous as the demigods, but all of them pick out a seed with little hassle. Percy picked a type of seaweed that only grows deep underwater where sunlight doesn't reach. Annabeth picked the seed of an olive tree. Jason pick a pinecone from a red pine while Piper chose a wild rose. Reyna chose the seed of an oak tree. Frank picked out a bonsai while Hazel pulled a seed out of her pocket and said that it was a seed from one of the flowers in Persephone's garden. Clarisse picked out the seed of a milk thistle. Connor pick out a lace cap hydrangea while Travis picked out a dizzy lily. Will chose a sun flower. Leo picked out an evergreen boxwood with a strange grin on his face.

"It's a hedge," he whispered. The demigods around him snickered as he pocketed the seed.

"Has everyone got what they need?" Professor Sprout asked. "Alrighty then. You may feel free to use any of the pots and gardening soil I have here or go out and plant it elsewhere. However. If you plant it in a pot it cannot stay in the classroom or the green house. If your plant needs special conditions you must provide them yourselves. Now get started and ask if you have questions."

Most of the witches and wizards scrambled towards the pots, but the demigods merely pocketed their seeds for the time being.

"Aren't you going to plant them?" Draco asked quietly.

"Of course," said Kati. "But we are going to plant them closer to where we are staying."

"Oh," said Draco. "That makes sense."

"We still have about half the class period," said Annabeth. "May as well start that way and at least drop the seeds in our rooms so we don't lose them."

"Good idea," said Hazel.

"Want to come with?" Jason asked Draco.

"Um, alright."

"Come on," said Percy. "Our turn to show you around."

The demigods walked at a normal rate until they got outside the castle where the Stolls and Leo took off into a dead run for the tree line with Clarisse taking off after them shouting something about a spot beside the stable and first right for pegasus poop or something along those lines. Everyone else continued at a rather sedate pace and had been walking for about ten minutes when Draco suddenly stopped and looked around.

"Where did you all go?" he called. Draco turned looking all around and his shoulders seemed to drop.

"The boundary," Annabeth said.

"What?" Draco asked suddenly spinning round.

Annabeth walked back outside the barrier with Percy right behind her. Draco started when they suddenly appeared within two feet of him.

"Where did you all go?" Draco asked. "I can't get through."

"I bet the boundary is set specifically for us," said Percy. "Just in case some of the other students at Hogwarts have Greek or Roman blood like Draco here. I, Perseus Jackson, give Draco Malfoy permission to enter the uh… Lair of the Demigods."

"'Lair of the Demigods' Percy?" asked Reyna with an amused smirk at the same time as she reappeared in Draco's vision. "Really?"

"I like it," Jason said. Draco started just a bit as the area seemed to come more into focus and he could see the demigods, a few building ahead in the distance, and a definite path to it and realized that was what the demigods had been following.

"I didn't say I didn't like it," said Reyna. "But typically it's the enemy that has the lair."

"That's just negative connotation that is typically associated with the word," said Annabeth. "And anyway it worked. This is officially the Lair of the Demigods and has to be called such when allowing access to other people."

"Um, not to bust in on this grand moment," said Will, "but we've got fifteen minutes until out next class of unknown location on top of a ten minute walk back."

"So stash your seeds and start running," said Travis as he and Connor took off into the trees.

"Potions is held in the dungeons," said Draco. "Someone should be able to point you the right way if you aren't sure where you're going."

"Thanks man!" Connor shouted back right before he and Travis disappeared from sight.

"They are right though," said Annabeth. "We need to put the seeds away and get back to class."

The demigods quickly put away the seeds in their rooms before starting to head back to school. Draco wasn't sure what to do but did put his seed for a fanged geranium into a small pocket in his satchel where he could easily find it later.

"Alright," said Percy, "we've got eight minutes until classes start. How long does it take to get to the potions classroom?"

"Double that," said Draco. "We'll have to sprint."

"Or cheat," said Percy with a shrug. He waved his hand through their air and a mist appeared. "Yo, Fleecey, do me a solid and connect me with Nico di Angelo, somewhere in Hogwarts."

A giggle was heard through the mist. "Sure thing Percy." A couple seconds later Nico's face was staring back at them through the mist.

"That is incredible," said Draco.

"Hey Nico," Percy said with a massive grin.

"Let me guess," said the son of Hades, "you're all back at the camp area and need me to come get a few people so we're not late to classes on the first day."

"Just a few," said Percy. "We'd just need you to come grab Clarisse, Draco, and Piper."

"Fine, be there in a sec," said Nico before he swiped through the mist. Hardly ten seconds later was he walking towards them out of the shadow of a nearby tree. "Draco, Clarisse, Piper," he said. Clarisse walked over and put a hand on his shoulder, a move which Draco copied, even though he looked a bit unsure, and Piper put a hand on top of Nico's head. The son of Hades rolled his eyes but put up with the daughter of Aphrodite.

"Don't let go," Nico said before leading both through the nearest shadow and all four disappeared.

"Alright," said Percy, "Annabeth, and Jason with me, Reyna and Will with Leo, Frank and Kati with Hazel. Are we missing anybody? No. Good. See you there."

The demigods nodded before the groups traveled. Hazel led Kati and Frank into a nearby shadow, Reyna and Will vanished with Leo in a flash of flames, and Annabeth, Jason, and Percy turned into a mist before vanishing. The only evidence of them having been there being footprints, a scorch mark, and some oddly damp grass.

Meanwhile, in Hogwarts, the demigods found themselves in a dark room under the school with Draco gaping at them when they appeared by walking out of a wall, being left behind by a blast of fire, or seemingly assembled out mist.

"That was… awesome," said Draco.

"Thank you," said Leo.

"It's a shame you couldn't see my lightning travel," said Jason with a pout.

"Lightning travel?" Draco asked

"It's pretty cool," said Percy. "Basically the lightning picks you up and then drops you off, but you get a bit singed and feel a little tingly."

"Sounds terrifying," came a drawling voice from the doorway.

"Hey Severus," said Hazel.

The blood seemed to drain out of Draco's face as he looked between Hazel and the potion professor.

"What?" Leo asked. "It's his name."

Draco didn't say anything but just kept looking around the group.

"Mr. Malfoy," said the potions master with a slightly softer voice, "I do not bite and the demigods are technically my family. I am a great grandson of Hades'."

"I see," Draco squeaked.

"So, using Greek and Roman methods of transportation when you're supposed to be lying low?"

"We did appear in a storage room with no one in it," said Leo.

"Yes, but I'd be more careful in the future," Snape said. "We have a rather nosey trio that tend to show up in the strangest of places."

"Thanks for the advice," said Percy. "So where's the potions classroom?"

"Right this way," Snape said and led them from the classroom with his robes billowing behind him like they always did. They went down a few doors and saw Travis and Connor already in the classroom.

"You guys move fast," said Percy.

"Thank you," they said together, but didn't explain how they got their so quickly, though their shoes almost looked to be twitching.

"Alright," said Snape, "let's not forget that I am your professor right now even if I am also you great-great or great grandnephew or cousin."

"Okie dokie," said Leo with a massive grin.

A few eighth years entered the classroom and sat down at some of the middle tables.

"You may sit in pairs where you like but understand you will most likely be moved," said Snape.

"Sure thing," said Piper. She hauled Jason off to one of the tables in the second row and both pulled out the potions book Hecate had provide.

Percy shrugged and motioned for Annabeth to lead the way. Percy and Annabeth settled at a table in the middle while Kati grabbed Travis and dragged him to the table in the middle of the front row. Clarisse and Reyna sat near the far wall while Frank and Hazel selected a desk in the front row, but with a table between them and Travis and Kati. Will and Leo looked at each other before shrugging and sitting down at the table they were standing by. Nico motioned to Draco who followed him to the second to last row.

"Are these the usual pairings then?" Draco asked quietly.

"For the most part," said Nico. "Leo, Will, Clarisse, and I typically do our own thing, but can pair up when it's called for. Plus I figured you have questions."

"I have a few more then I think you can answer in the remaining two minutes before class starts."

"Then ask a couple that aren't difficult to answer."

"I thought Greeks and Romans didn't get along, what changed?"

"I think you asked the biggest question that's right up there with what do demigods do," Nico said with a sigh. "We can answer that question later when we've got a few hours, but for now let's stick to smaller questions."

"Okay," said Draco. "Have you ever seen Cerberus?"

"Yup," said Nico right away. "Loads of times."

"Have you ever seen the minotaur?"

"I haven't, but Percy's slayed it twice. They have something of a hate-hate relationship going on."

"That's… odd," said Draco.

"And yet it's still not the weirdest thing about Percy," Nico said with a sigh.

"So I've heard," said Draco with a tiny smile.

Everyone faintly heard the bell tolling above them and from far away. Every head turned to look at Professor Snape who was standing in the front of the classroom, eyes sweeping over everyone.

"Welcome class," Snape said slowly.

"This year will be a culmination of several potions from your previous years as well as you attempting to make your own potions. However, you must first be divided up into appropriate partners."

The groups were quickly rearranged with the witches and wizards scrambling to get where Snape pointed and the demigods trying to stay out of their way while also going to their own spots. It ended with Harry and Percy at one table, Annabeth and Hermione at another, Ron and Connor near the middle of the room. Nico and Luna were towards the back, Neville and Kati in the front, Jason and Draco were beside Percy and Harry, while another eighth year and Will were behind them. Clarisse was sitting beside an eighth year who kept shooting her weird looks while Piper was trying to get to know her partner. Leo and Travis ended up being partnered together and sat down with Snape glaring at them. They just smiled and waved.

"The person sitting next to you will be your partner in my classroom for the rest of the semester. If you do not wish to work with the partner you were assigned, too bad. You must learn to work with those you may not necessarily like. Your first assignment is for you and your partner to work together to gather all of the ingredients to make a simple polyjuice potion. Go."

The witches and wizards all stood up and moved toward a door at the back of the room and followed.

"Supplies room," Draco told Jason who nodded.

The witches, wizards, and demigods quickly gathered up what they needed and returned to their tables. On their way back though, the demigods all discreetly swapped bits of hair, after all, they needed a bit of someone else's hair if the potion was going to work. Everyone went back to their assigned table and set out the ingredients. Snape quickly scanned the room to make sure everyone was out of the supply closet before he went back and locked it.

"You will now take your ingredients and put them in the proper order. Go."

The groups worked quickly and efficiently, the demigods doing most of the work, after all, they had the best potions teacher: Hecate, the inventor of most of the potions they knew.

"Stop," Snape said and started walking around the tables. He eyed every group's line up of ingredients. "Well done. Almost all of you also remembered to get hair from someone else who was not in you group. Well done. After you put the ingredients away you may go to you next class, but not before said Snape as he unlocked the door to the supply closet. "I recommend doing so quickly. The bell will toll in less than two minutes."

Everyone quickly got up and began returning the ingredients to their proper places and the bits of hair were put into a pile up front where Snape pointed his wand at them, incinerating them with a few words. Just as the last ingredient was put away did the bell toll, signaling the end of class.

The witches and wizards quickly skittered out of the rooms stopping only long enough to grab their bags before practically running for the door. The demigods stayed behind for a minute longer after the room had emptied.

"Wow," said Nico. "You've got intimidation down to a science."

"I do not tolerate fools, idiots, or laziness," said Snape. "But then again, neither do any of you."

"I suppose not," said Annabeth. "But do you really have to be so scary?"

"It makes my job less… monotonous."

"Fair enough," said Reyna.

"I believe you all should be on your way to transfiguration with Professor McGonagall in a few minutes, you may want to head that way."

"Thanks Severus," said Nico shaking his great-grandnephew's hand.

"Alright Draco," said Annabeth. "Lead the way."

Draco nodded and led them out of the dungeons and up several flights of stairs before turning to enter an almost stereotypical classroom where the demigods all sat down at the desks left by the witches and wizards who had already arrived. The things setting it apart being the displays of objects and a few live animals on sides as well as the cat sitting on the desk swishing its tail. As soon as the bell tolled the cat leapt off the desk and shifted into Professor McGonagall.

"Hello class and welcome to advanced transfiguration."
