Sun

As always the sun was brightly shining above Sindria's sky. It was a normal beautiful day where everyone did whatever they normally did and so on. It was already after noon and Alibaba Saluja, Balbadd's Third Prince, a dungeon capturer, was still lifelessly lying in his bed grieving about the happenings of the other day. He still thought about how he should live on when Morgiana declared him herself that she loved Hakuryuu hardly trying not to cry. He'd probably stick on his I-gotta-protect-my-pride face and tell her to go for it, tell her he'd be happy if it went well for her. He'd probably lie. What else should he do? Tell her that she was his'? Tell her she should follow him for the rest of her life? He couldn't do that. He wanted her to be happy. But he himself also wanted to be happy. Why can't he be happy with her? Life's pretty unfair to him. But life was also pretty unfair to her. Well… no one had it easy in life but everyone must life on. How can he live on without her? That might be impossible. He could just as well stop living. No, no, no. He shook his head. You can't think so negatively, Alibaba Saluja! He surely will find some super-hot woman for himself, better than Morgiana and live happily ever after... Or not… he'll never find a better woman than her. He'll never find someone with a smile as sweet as hers. He'll never find someone as strong as her, not only physically but also mentally. And he'll never find someone as kind as her. The warm kindness of hers that slowly melted his heart which is about to be torn apart exists only once. He'd rather die than trying to find himself another woman who could replace her. No… dying would also be no option but being forever alone is also no option either. There's no way he could be happy without her. It's impossible to be happy when the person you love loves another. So the result is: Alibaba Saluja will never gain happiness.

"Geez." He sighed still lying in his bed. Suddenly he heard steps coming from the corridor. They became louder and louder until they suddenly stopped. He knew someone stood in front of his door to wake him up. The doorknob cracked. Someone was about to enter his room and he wondered who it might be. One half of him hoped it would be Morgiana, the other half hoped it wasn't her. His manliness couldn't let him see her. He would only cry when his eyes met her unique beautiful ones. He would cry seeing her silky rosy hair. He would cry seeing her pretty cute face. He would cry seeing her sweet lovely smile. Because he knew he couldn't have her. It seemed all clear to him. After all those two were really close and got along very well with each other. Hakuryuu was obviously in love with her and now it seemed as if she felt the same. She wrote letters to him and they shared a kiss that wasn't forced onto her as she said. A flood of sad feelings overwhelmed him again. His heart started to ache again after it finally eased a bit. Once more thousands of blades seemed to pierce through his chest. Tears filled his eyes which were about to roll down his reddned cheeks. He couldn't cry yet. There was someone entering his room. The steps were getting closer and closer. But no one should see that pathetic side of him. Alibaba was a man after all and men don't cry. He calmed down his breath and lied as calm as possible in his bed hidden under his blanked hoping that the other person would go away as soon as they saw that he was still sleeping. But it didn't happen.

"Wake up, stupid Alibaba!" His blanked was taken from him in a flash as the steps were stopping. "What? You're actually not sleeping, you lazy brat of a prince?" It was Ja'far who entered his room. First he looked at Alibaba with an angry glare but his expression softened as he saw in what kind of condition Alibaba was. "What's wrong Alibaba? You're eyes are red and swollen as hell."

"Ja'far…" Alibaba whined hiding his face in his pillow. "Ja'far… I-I…" Suddenly he jumped into Ja'far's arms with the crying face of a baby. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do!"

"What's going on with you?" Ja'far asked surprised and disgusted while trying to get that cry-baby off him. Alibaba often had his emo-times but this time it seemed serious and seriously annoying.

"I'm having a life crisis here!" He declared confidently.

"Dude… calm down." The white haired man sighed and patted the blonde's head. "We're gonna patch you up somehow… Tell me your worries."

"I… love someone who might love someone else." Alibaba told him with a soft voice still crying and making Ja'far's clothes wet.

"Why 'might' she love someone else?" Ja'far asked with doubt in his tone. Who did he think Morgiana loved? It was pretty obvious for everyone that the two of them were crushing real hard for each other. So why would he think that she might love someone else? …well, she sure treated him pretty hard these days. And that dumb prince won't understand anyway.

"Well, I don't know for sure but it seems to be pretty obvious." The cry-baby answered seriously.

"You don't know yet. Maybe you've got a chance when you tell her how you feel." They need to quickly confess to each other. He wouldn't want to endure the annoying king's candidate much longer. Therefore he needs to quickly get them together. Maybe Alibaba would even do his job better when he had Morgiana cheering for him as his girlfriend. That'd be perfect. "I'm sure you'll be fine. You're Alibaba after all. Her hero and savior. You saved her from being a slave and gave her a live she couldn't have dreamt of."

"I can't just assume that she might love me only because of those things." He said sadly clenching his fists.

"Still, if you don't try then you'll never change…" He hasn't seen Alibaba being so serious since long. That time in Balbadd when he fought for everything he had. And now he is turning himself down to not get hurt when he already is hurt. Also his pride is getting on him. He is someone who can't accept defeat and humiliation. But then he would be placing his pride first when his love is so much more important. "If your pride is standing in the way of your love then push it aside. Otherwise your love is nothing worth. Even if you could be rejected… you need to try to not regret and then move on."

"You really think I'm going to be fine by being honest with my feelings?" He asked doubtingly.

"Yeah. Everything's going to be fine, okay?" Ja'far said with a kind smile that Alibaba knew too well.

"Really…?" He asked in a disbelieving tone. That's his fake smile. And he knew too well what that meant. Working, or training, or working.

"Yeah." The former assassin answered dragging Alibaba who was still clinging onto him out of the room. "And now let's get to work." He said as expected making the little prince cry out loud.

"No!" Alibaba screamed. He knew! "I'll never believe you again!"

After he finally got his work done Alibaba took a break and lied down on the soft grass of the patio. A kind breeze wafted through the grass and tiny flowers making them rustle in a tiny sound. The sun was almost setting down the boundary and it seemed as if it was pierced through by the sharp edges of Sindria's cliffs. Colors of yellow, orange and rose were occupying the sky and melted into a symphony of warm colors. He didn't know how long he just lied there and watched the colors change. But the longer he lied there the darker the colors got. And when there was a shade of lilac and a field of damask rose in the sky he thought about her again. She's got the same. Her hair and her eyes were toned in that beautiful color. And he thought she was like the sky. When she smiled. When she laughed. When she slept. When she raged. When she cried. When she suffered. She was like the sky. All of those together. But always beautiful. He sighed and closed his eyes when they were about to share some tears again. All he could think about was her. All he ever will think about is her. It felt like he could never stop. She was always in his mind and always in his heart. So many good memories. So many warm feelings. And so much more that she gave to him. He will treasure all of them and never regret anything. He thought in full resolve.

"Alibaba…" Someone called him shyly. But the young man was too focused in his thoughts that her voice couldn't reach his ear. She still waited for a while and asked herself if he was sleeping. But she heard Ja'far nagging that he already slept until noon and it just became evening. He looked very cute, so eased. There are times when he occupied the whole bed just by stretching out his arms and legs and times he rolled from one side to the other almost pushing her and Aladdin off. It was annoying at times when they were tried and only wanted to sleep. But remembering how there were a lot of funny moments like when they drew on his face or dressed up his hair, all those memories made her giggle. "Please wake up, Alibaba." She whispered in with a soft voice wondering how he could sleep so much. He seemed to be sleeping the whole day. He couldn't be sleeping, right? And if he was it wouldn't be too rude because he already slept so much. And now that she's gained the confidence to face him she shouldn't let this chance slip away. Tomorrow she could lose all her confidence and avoid him again. That wouldn't solve anything. "Alibaba." She tried again this time a little louder but without success. "Alibaba!"

"W-what?" He suddenly sat straight as his mind was reached by that voice and looked surprised at her. When he finally realized who it was he almost got a heart attack and crawled a few inches away from her. Slowly he felt that his cheeks were getting hotter again and he could guess that they were gradually turning red. "H-hi Mor… giana…" The sleeping beauty stuttered not knowing if he should run away or dig a hole and hide in there. Her surprised expression was so cute that he wanted to embrace her. However he shouldn't commit sexual harassment on her or he will die by her bare hands. "Is something the matter?"

"Can we talk?" She asked with a small blush on her cheeks. "I'm sorry I ran away so suddenly yesterday…"

"Ah! It's okay! Don't bother too much about that!" Alibaba said quickly averting his eyes from her. Digging a hole would take too much time. He needs to get away from her as quickly as possible. It's hard for him to restrain himself from her. But he was quite happy that she especially came towards him to apologize which wasn't necessary. His inner self smiled from the thought of her worrying about something trivial. He really wanted to stay with her but it only hurt and his pride wouldn't allow him to cry in front of her. "Um! Eh- …I gotta go now!" He blurted out and stood up to run away but he was stopped.

"Don't!" Morgiana grabbed his arm. "I know I have done it a lot of times. But please don't run away from me."

"I really don't want to talk right now! Please let go of me!" She was too strong for him. It's kinda pathetic but right now he couldn't find the strength to go against a girl. Men should be the strong ones protecting the girl but with her it often was the other way round. Normally he could at least match her strength but now all his strength was away. "I feel pathetic…" He moaned and sank onto his knees with his head directed to the ground.

"Why?" Morgiana kneed down beside him and tried to look in his eyes but his hair covered the view on his face.

"I should be at least as strong as you… but right now I am weaker than a girl." He sat down properly on the ground and sobbed.

"Actually… I mean: Why don't you want to talk?" She kindly patted his head.

"I- I'm gonna cry when I look at you." The blonde guy honestly answered with a face as red as a cherry.

"…Why?" The Fanalis asked again feeling a little shocked by that answer. Why would he cry when he saw her face? Does she remind him of something sad in the past? No, all this time he never really reacted like that and they've been together since a long time. Is he angry at her for something? Why would he cry when he was angry? Or is something wrong with her face? Morgiana was very confused she couldn't think of a reasonable explanation and of course she wouldn't want him to cry. But it seemed like he already did.

"Eh… long story… don't mind it… sorry…" The little prince was shaking slightly but she saw. His cheeks were red to his ears and his eyes were already filled with tears. She didn't want him to cry. Or rather she didn't want him to be sad. If there is anything to make him happy she would give it to him. If somehow she could only take away his sadness the same way he did for her. She unconsciously put her arms around his neck and continued to pat his head.

"Don't be sad…" She whispered into his ear making him blush even more. That's not good. He suddenly felt so happy. He wanted to return her embrace. He wanted to hold her tightly. He wanted her to be his'. Slowly his hands were reaching for her waist but shortly before touching her they stopped.

"M-Morg! Let go… please…" He pleaded grabbing her arms to put them off his neck. But he couldn't move them even an inch.

"You can't run away from me, after all I'm strong." The rosy haired girl giggled and laughed when she saw his disappointed face.

"That's not fair. You are strong. That's why I'm begging you!" 'Don't make it harder for me than it is.' He thought. He really didn't want her to let go. He really wanted to stay like this. His eyes couldn't hold the tears anymore. "Morg…" He seriously loved her so much he couldn't bear it anymore. Away with his pride. He suddenly remembered what Ja'far said. He needed to know now. Did she really love Hakuryuu? If not then why did they kiss? It wouldn't make any sense. But if there was even the slightest chance he should take it. Whoever she loved he didn't want to regret never taking a chance.

"Alibaba… I-" She started to say but she was disrupted by an eager Alibaba.

"Tell me first!" He cried out loud. "Do you love Hakuryuu?"

"Eh… why?" Why would he suddenly ask such a thing? Morgiana wondered. Does he seriously think she'd love Hakuryuu? Why would that be? Because of the letters she wrote or the kiss? Oh right… that might be it. After all she couldn't explain it properly to him and just ran away.

"I need to know either way I won't be able to life!" Alibaba screamed with all his might impatiently awaiting her answer. Every second he waited felt unbearable long. But she immediately answered startled while staring at him with wide eyes.

"I-I don't!" Her answer sounded very eager. She didn't want him to think that she loved Hakuryuu. Because she loved him. everything of him. Not only because he was her savior. Because he is her friend. Because he is the kind and thoughtful Alibaba. Someone who would always protect his friends and comrades. Someone who can't just stand there looking when somebody is in danger. Someone who'd risk his life for the things he loved. Someone who never gives up. And someone so cheerful and lively. Though he has his flaws. She loved all of him. Everything he is and everything he will be. She wanted him to know. she should know all of that. "I lo-"

"T-then can I have you?" She wanted to confess but he interrupted her again. He was relieved. The weight on his mind was off. And he really was eased by only knowing that she didn't love Hakuryuu. He had a chance after all. Ja'far was right. If she didn't love anyone yet then now's the time to dig his way into her heart. He wanted to have her so much. He wanted to be the only one special to her. He wanted her to stay by his side. And he wanted to be the one to make her happy because she gave him so much happiness just with being by his side he thought he was unable to return. "I want to have you."

"What do you mean?!" Morgiana was totally perplexed her mind couldn't keep up with all that. And suddenly Alibaba pulled her towards his chest and held her tightly. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"I… I want you to be my girlfriend…" The third prince of Balbadd, Alibaba Saluja, a dungeon capturer, finally confessed. Blushing like hell with a heart that was beating too fast for him to bear and his hands shaking like they never did before. "Morgiana, I love you…" Finally confessed. Finally he thought. Finally he said it. "I really love you!" It will reach her, right? She will understand, right? Will she stay by his side? "I promise I will cherish you and I… I know I have my flaws but… please stay with me…" He was scared of her answer but he slowly opened his eyes to see for himself how she reacted. As his eyelids opened he saw her with her cheeks brightly red and her eyes wide opened. She was totally surprised she didn't expect that. Suddenly she puffed up her cheeks like she did at their first festival in Sindria. He knew she made that face when she was happy and he found it so adorable that he couldn't help but laugh. "Your face is too funny!"

"Don't laugh at me, that's mean!" She pouted making a sour face.

"I meant you are really cute, Morgiana!" He pulled her even closer into his embrace. "Can I have my answer now please?"

"I… I already told you I want to stay with you and Aladdin. And nothing is going to change that." She said shyly. The answer was already obvious to her. "And… I'd love to… be your girlfriend… I love you too…" She smiled. "I love you, Alibaba!"

Their feelings were like a day in April. In one moment it was sunny. A sudden breeze brought rain. But it didn't last for long. The sun came up again. But their feelings started on a rainy day.
