So, I'm a horrible human being.

Not only did I completely neglect this story and leave it with no resolute ending, but I didn't even give a chapter with where I wanted things to go as asked by a few people.

So here goes (this is quite AU since I don't remember much of what happened at the end of last season)...

Ward - As much as I would love to see him go back to being on Team S.H.I.E.L.D. and not the angsty Hydra bad boy we know him to be, I'm doubtful that it will happen, so sadly my future for Ward wouldn't have been a happy one. Skye would eventually choose her head over her heart and distance herself from Ward. He'd eventually return to Hydra under the pre-tense that he was still working for S.H.I.E.L.D., and after a long drawn out battle between the two organisations, Ward would find himself cornered by Coulson, May and Skye, ultimately choosing to take his own life in the end.

Skye - Poor, poor Skye. This girl just hasn't had an easy life, has she? Well the whole Ward-death won't help, and she will close herself off a bit, but eventually (with some kind, supportive words from May) she'll return to her old self and I guess that's where season 2 would pick up with her. Lots of awesome black leather jackets and cool outfits, plus some badassery with May and Bobbi.

Coulson - Not much to add here. Coulson will feel responsible for what happened to Ward, but once again May will be the voice of reasoning, and he'll push it all aside to keep fighting for the greater good.

May - We all know May is a boss, so there's really nothing to add.

FitzSimmons - They'll always be one to me, and yes, I eventually would've had them end up together in some adorable, unique-to-them way. Side note: Fitz will of course be devastated by the loss of Ward. Even if he was evil, they were still friends and Fitz chooses to remember only the good bits about him (even after he pushed him out of the plane and nearly killed him). Simmons won't feel the same way about Ward as the others do, but she understands how they feel and is there to support all of them in whichever way she can (Fitz = cups of tea and lots of late night discussions, Skye = silently sitting next to her watching whatever movie or playing whichever game she chooses).

Sorry again for the lateness of this post and to be honest, I kinda forgot where I was going with the story, but I think this covers the general gist of it.
