Rose opened her eyes. His face was inches from hers. It was strange, watching him sleep. The Doctor hardly ever slept. She remembered sneaking around the TARDIS on more than one occasion, trying to catch him napping, but the Doctor was always up, always full of energy, working on one device or another.

"You're doing it again," he said without opening his eyes, making her grin.

"Sorry," she replied.

"You are in so much trouble," he said, opening his eyes and grabbing her.

She started laughing and he joined her as he pulled her into a hug. A nagging feeling sprang up in the back of her mind, as if there was something she forgot, but she shoved it aside. It probably had to do with Torchwood and at the moment she didn't care about Torchwood. Instead she ran her hand through his ruffled hair and couldn't help thinking that he still had really great hair.

"Do you still miss it?" he suddenly asked.

She knew what he meant. He still felt insecure sometimes.

"Traveling through time and space?" she teased. "Nah, why would I miss that?"

"And the Doctor?"

"I had a dream about him."

"Now I am jealous," he teased.

Rose sat up, being slightly serious because it had been a very strange dream.

"He had a different face and there was a red headed girl with him."

He sat up with her because he could tell that she wasn't entirely all right.

"He does love a red head," he said, trying to alleviate the situation.

They had been together for five years. Ever since the beach. He loved her and at first he was afraid that his love for her was nothing more than an imprint from the Doctor, but the more time that passed the more he realized that he loved her…he, John Smith, was in love with Rose Tyler and not because of his memories of traveling with her, but because she was the kindest person he knew. Of course she was also beautiful and amazing and brave, but it was the kindness that won him over first.

"It was her and her fiancé," Rose continued.

"That's a new one."

"Would you be serious," she said, slapping his arm lightly.

"Serious it is," he replied putting on his most serious face.

"Stop that," she laughed.

"Which is it? Serious or not serious? You can't have it both ways, my luv."

She rolled her eyes.

"The Doctor was hiding here from aliens, but he didn't remember he was the Doctor."

"Where was I then?"

"You married Mary Jane."

"Oh, well, now we know it was a dream because," he grabbed her into a hug, "there aren't enough Mary Janes in the entire multi-verse to keep me away from you."

The Doctor didn't like not knowing and there were too many things he didn't know. Did that creature inside of Rose orchestrate the creation of his clone so he would have no other choice, but to leave them on Pete's World? Did she allow the Cybermen and the Daleks to breach the Void or did she foresee it? If she had foreseen it couldn't she have changed it? She didn't hesitate to change time and space when she sprinkled those words throughout his timeline.

What was going to happen on Trenzalore? Why would he need Rose to save him? Would she finally let Rose go? Would the universe give her back to him?

He could breach the Void. Go back to that alternate reality, but he knew just as well that she wouldn't let him take Rose. She would awaken and he would be back where he was now.

"You're quiet," Amy said, bringing him out of his thoughts.

"I asked where you wanted to go," the Doctor replied, glancing at her.

Red shirt. Black shorts. Wasn't she wearing pajamas? When did she change her clothes?

"And I said Reo…TWO hours ago."

She had that look that told him she knew something was up, well he wasn't about to let her question him.

"Right," he jumped to his feet. "Reo it is!"

He typed in the coordinates.

"Are you sure you're all right?" Amy asked, coming up beside him.

"I'm always all right," he replied, giving her a sideways glance as he flipping the lever for the time rotor.

There was plenty of time to worry about Trenzalore and Rose wasn't going anywhere, plus, now he knew he would see her again. Right now was Amy's time and Amy wanted to go to Reo.
