Beep! Beep! Beep!
Guren didn't want to leave the pain free darkness. He was waking up. Fire burned through his leg. Slowly, he opened his eyes. The room was dim. He made out white walls, a closed door, a blue counter with brown cupboards and a sink, a monitor showing his respiratory rate and heart rate. Hospital, and he was his human self. That meant he was home.
Memories rushed back to him. The orb, shoving Tributon aside, the agony of the lightning, waking up in Aura's home, healing, finding his friends in trouble, managing to go Titan and saving them, being helped out of Titan mode, the pain in his leg, the Temple of the Wind, merging with Lydendor, fighting Shadius, than darkness.
Guren felt someone brushing his bangs off his face. He looked up, seeing a woman smile down at him. She had the same eyes and same red patch in her hair like he did. She felt familiar.
"Hello, Guren. It's me, Aura. I'm your mother." Aura smiled.
"Mother? My mom?" Guren asked.
"That's right. I took care of you on Quarton." Aura answered, "I missed you and Nash so much."
"Why?" Guren asked, anger in his voice.
"I knew you would ask. I did want to stay and raise you. My duty is to Quarton, as his fifth Guardian." Aura looked away, "When he calls, I must answer."
"He?" Guren raised his bed so he could sit up, "I understand, mom. I just wish you would have at least visited."
"Earth is referred to as female while Quarton is referred to as male. We have our mythology about this." Aura sat in a chair next to Guren's bed, "Your friends and Notus are waiting. Nash should be here shortly."
Mr. Nash entered the room. "You are awake!" He went to Aura's side where they shared a kiss.
"Seriously?" Guren made fake gagging sounds. His parents both laughed.
"You guys can come in now! He's awake!" Aura called out.
Everyone entered the room. Chooki, Toxsa, Gen, Beni, and Ceylon rushed to Guren's side.
"Don't ever do that again! I couldn't get to Quarton! I was stuck watching! Do you know how that made me feel? I was useless!" Beni sobbed, "You guys were in trouble and I couldn't help!"
"Sorry, but she's been this way since I got home." Gen apologized. 'Period' he mouthed, and promptly got smacked by Beni, who was now beet red.
"Do you not know how worried I was?" Beni hissed.
"It's good to see that you are healing." Notus smiled, "White and I got theā¦ gate fixed."
"It's okay. I know." Nash said.
Queen Sunstar: This story is going on hiatus indefinitely. I just don't have the will to keep writing it right now. I'm not giving up on the story. Someday I might continue it. Right now, I'm just too busy with my novel. I'm a professional author, and am working on my third novel. See you around someday.
