The bus sped down the school driveway with the little band of survivors that managed to escape from the hell the school became.

Takashi took a seat in the passenger seat of bus and he helped the school nurse Miss. Shizuka keep calm as they traveled out of the area and into town.

As the trees passed by, leading to an opening which gave a clear view of the city below.

The city was in havoc, smoke pillars rose high into the sky making the city look like a battlefield. All the student leaned on the window stacking onto one another to look at the city With shock and horror streaked across their faces.

Shizuka sneaking glances out of Takashi's window, saw his bleeding arm. "Takashi you're bleeding" she said worry leaked in her voice.

Looking down on himself, seeing all the spots and splashed blood on his clothing. "It's not mine" he replied Coolly as he discreetly pulled down the sleeve on his bitten arm.

"I saw that! Lift up your sleeve!" She shouted as she brought the bus to a screeching halt.

Getting the attention of their group. As they gathered near the front, they spotted the gruesome bite on Takashi's arm as they backed away from him in fear.

"Takashi your bit?!" Shouted Saraya in disbelief as she pushed past the crowd and sat in Takashi's lap clinging onto him desperately as tears flowed freely down her face.

"I can't lose you too" she wailed as she held onto him tighter. With all the commotion the little band didn't feel the dark intent until it was upon them cringing at the sound.

"Seems we are in quite the predicament," Mr. Shido said with arms wide open a dark glint in his eyes. "your leader is now infected what sorrowful moment. . . But we cannot let this hold us back" he stated as he looked back at his own group that was in the back of the bus "we need a new leader so that we don't wonder around like a headless group. We need someone with experience, bravery, and dedication." He said as the group behind him nodded in agreement, his slick smile growing In size as he turned to front looking at the girls with a lecherous lick of his lips.

"We need an adult who knows how-to handle tough situations and decisions" he said as he placed his hand onto his chest.

"So basically you spewed all that carp out just to nominate yourself!" The pink haired genius Saya snapped at him he voice full of toxicity.

Ignoring her tone and calmly replying "and who else would be better? Miss. Shizuka? She has no experience in leading but is a valuable asset since now medical staff at high in demand for even basic medical advice and treatment. That is why I am the best candidate to be the next leader." He continued as he turned around to continue his speech to the back of the bus.

He was interrupted as the bus shock from the side door slamming shut as a certain orange haired girl disappeared into the darkening day.

Takashi getting up as he eased Saraya into his seat as she reached out for him, but he moved out of her reach.

Going behind Mr. Shido he tapped his shoulder. Turning around and looking up as fear sparked in his eyes, Takashi who was invading his personal space as he leaned down and spoke to Mr. Shido's ear.

"You think you the best? You aren't selfless you just like your father. Do you wonder who killed him? Because i know who." Takashi said his voice dripping with venom as Mr. Shido back away and fell on his back again in fear as his group helped him up and into the seat at the back of the bus.

Ignoring their questions of his well being he just stared at Takashi's back hatred and fury burning within him.

"As long as I am here I will maintain order bitten or not I will not let you interfere Mr. ShitHole" he stated to those in the bus.

Looking outside "I'll go get Rei" he said in a annoyed tone as he left the bus and ran after the fleeing girl near a bridge overpass.

The smaller separate group that Takashi saved in the school lobby ran after Takashi believing that he was kick out of the group and saw him as the Better odds of surviving with him.

Takashi caught Rei's shoulder and turned he turned her over to face him.

Tears flowed down her face as she looked up at him "I told you it was a going to be a mistake to let him come with us!" She shouted out in his face as she slammed her fists onto Takashi's chest.

"I don't remember you saying that Rei" Takashi said while placing his hands on her shoulders "let's head back and I'll make sure to let him know his place."

Turning towards the mini bus they saw the small group that he saved. Shouting it to them "what are you guys doing?" As they came to a halt a couple feet away.

"You were kicked out so we wanted go with you." The boy with the polearm stated as he looked at him and Rei.

"It looks like you weren't listening to the debate that went on in the bus I just went out to bring Rei back." He said as he started off towards the minibus until something caught his peripheral vision as shock filled his face as the other group looked to where he was looking.

"MOVE!" he shouted as he lifted Rei and threw himself with her back towards the bridge as a large transit bus came down the hill.

The smaller group didn't move as fear rooted their feet to the ground as the bus came smashing into them as they streaked out in terror but wet cut short as they died in a explosion of flesh against metal as blood puffed out in a mist almost like feathers off a shot surprised chicken.

Takashi took the brunt of the fall as his back scrapped the asphalt underneath them. Rei stared at the place the small group in shock but the only thing left was the overturned bus as flames included the infected that has caused it to lose control.

"We have to find a way around to meet with the others" Takashi said as he got up help in her up as he went.

"ARE YOU GUYS STILL ALIVE!" Shouted Saya as she leaned out of the bus window.

"YES!" Takashi shouted out, "meet us at the Police station Rei's Dad works at if not today then tomorrow!" He shouted as Flaming infected poured out of the flaming bus but dropped soon after.

Looking down at Rei "We don't have time to panic let go" he said as he held her hand and started at a brisk jog away from the burning bus.

They ran alongside the road only for a few minutes until Rei had to stop to catch her breath.

Standing by her Takashi check what he had, only to be led upset that he left all of his stuff in the front of the bus, the only thing he had with him was the machete and the bullets in his vest and pockets.

As he continue to do a mental inventory he was slammed to the ground from behind. The unexpected weight threw Takashi and his attack tumbling to the floor as Rei screamed in panic.

Pinned down from behind he felt a hard hit onto his head as something continued to press down from his head.

The weight soon was pushed off by Rei as Takashi jumped to his feet to face the attacker.

It was a man in a biker jacket and he had his bike helmet on which help prevent him from biting Takashi.

The biker picked itself up slowly as it started to shuffle towards Takashi. Pulling out his machete from its holder and thrusting it towards the man's faceplate as the plastic visor cracked, letting the blade stab into its brain.

The body dropped as Takashi held onto the blade as it slipped out as the weight allowed it come out. Cleaning the blade with the man's shirt Rei came up to him.

"H-how can you k-kill people so easily?!" She stuttered out accusation and fear laced her voice as they stood there for a few minutes, Takashi not looking at her.

"Look at me AND TELL ME WHY THIS IS HAPPENING!" She shouted while tears began to flow freely down her face.

She was about to shout again but was stopped as Takashi turned around and embraced her. She was shocked he would touch her and was about to push him away but instead clung onto the front of his shirt leaning her head on his chest as she continued to cry.

"Hisashi should be the one to do this you know, it's not my job anymore." He said as he let go of Rei after a few minutes. "The guy had a helmet we should see if his bike is nearby." He said as he walked up to the road finding the bike lightly crashed next to the guard rails.

Picking it up and sitting on the bike he motioned for Rei to ride on the bike behind him.

"Do you even know how to drive a bike?" She said as she hugged herself worriedly.

"I known how to drive" he said looking at her then at the road "get on or find your own way back." He said coldly as he kick started the bike.

Startled by this Rei quickly and awkwardly hopped on the bike clutching onto Takashi's sides as they sped off.

As they rode into a residential area Rei spotted a patrol car. "Takashi! Look!" She shouted pointing at the car which was mostly hidden from view from the tight corner street.

Slowing down the bike in front of the patrol car, or what was left of it. Rid gasped in horror as she saw the car smashed into the side of the building by a much larger garbage truck.

Reo quickly hopped off and ran to the driver side of the car (opposite side of American drivers, japanese drive on the left side of the road and the driver is on the right side of the car)

"Make sure there that they are really dead." Takashi told her as Rei searched the bodies of the cops coming up with the police issued NANBU M60 along with some blood covered bullets.

"Good idea" Takashi said as he wiped down the blood from some of the bullets as he pocketed them behind his waist. "I'll hold onto it since I'm the more experienced gunner, also we are going to need gas this bike won't make the trip back."

Red nodded in agreement as she hopped back onto the bike as Takashi Revved it up and sped away just in time as a small group of infected had been drawn to the sputter of the engine.

Takashi pulled up at a gas station that was far enough away from the smashed cop car.

Looking at Rei "it's a self service station you got cash?" He ask as he kicked down the stand for the bike as he got off and pulled the gas cap and placing the stations gas nozzle into bike.

"No I don't, doesnt the guy have to handle and to have all the money?" Rei snapped back.

"Pardon me Missy I was too busy getting to school to save your stupid ass from the apocalypse that I forgot my wallet at home." Takashi retorted without emotion in his voice which put shivers down Rei's spine at how collected he was.

"I'll go in the station and get some money from the cash register, and maybe some chips and drinks" he said as he smiled about the idea of getting a bag of chips and a cold beer or soda which ever he found first.

Entering the shop he quickly went to the back and opened the fridges and th took out a six pack of soda pop, moving towards the register as he grabbed a simple stringed bag placing the soda and chips he found into the bag.

Hopping over the counter and picking up a baseball bat that was behind the counter probably for self defense by the former cashier. Using the bat Takashi smashed the cash register and looted the money inside.

A scream pierced through the air.

Running out thinking that an infected had somehow grabbed onto Rei.

Reaching the bike Takashi spotted a large fat man holding Rei hostage, with a knife at her throat.

"HEY KID! Nice chick you have here you must be screwing her day and night and the little bits in between eh?!" He called out as he groped Rei's chest with his free hand.

With a sigh "Yeah I fucked her, but she can't keep her damn mouth shut." Takashi said as he readjusted the pack on his back.

"Good body but the worst personality you can find out there." Takashi said as he turned around and started to fill the bike with gas. "Let me guess, the world went to shit you had to kill your family because they turned?" Seeing the anger in the man's eyes brighten.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" The man shouted angrily as he squeezed Rei harder making her yelp out in pain. "YOU KNOW NOTHING! THE HELL I HAD TO DO! KILLING EVERYONE IN your family this is just a dream . . . So I'll enjoy everything I do here" the man blurted out as tears went down his eyes

"I'll just fuck your bitch day and night she won't know anything or want anything but my cock when I'm through with her!" He declared as he used his free hand go lower that her breasts to her nether region.

"Hahaha go ahead she's not mine anyways, all you want is the bike the girl is just a bit extra isn't it?" Takashi said as he turned the bikes gas cap into place.

"Your tried to rile me up so I would give up the bike for the girl right?" Leaning against the bike as he opened up a pouch in his vest, pulling out a cigarette box.

"Would of worked last year but she's a real bitch I don't know why I bothered trying to save her from the school or even the damn bus." Opening the box but seeing them covered in dark blood. "Shame" he said as he tossed the soggy box towards the guy.

Looking down at the box the guy missed what Takashi did next and that was at the cost of his life since he had a hole in his forehead.

Rei collapsed on her knees when the man fell on his back dead as blood poured out of his head and ears. Tears poured down her face as she sobbed both in relieve and distress.

"Hurry up, we rang the dinner bell for the infected." Takashi said as he put away the gun and got on the bike.

Rei looked up as the fear of being left behind as she quickly rushed over and clumsily got on the bike behind him.
