Calypso's Poem (Ogygia)

...

Oh Poseidon, hear my pleas:

Send your ships to rescue me

From this place I cannot flee

When all I long is too be free.

...

I've been trapped her for so long

With no hope to right my wrong.

There's no one here to hear my song

While my torture, the Gods prolong.

...

Along these beaches I must roam

For shells and pebbles this beach I comb

Watching waves crash and foam

In this prison I call home.

...

There are men who find my place

But always leave without a trace

As they have problems still to face

And a loved on that they've yet to chase.

...

These men that i cant help but love

Leave swiftly like the morning dove

And I've not yet learned to rise above

The men I can only dream of.

...

This paradise will always be

A prison cell for only me,

While others travel just and free.

Ogygia, thats what youll be.
