AN: Finally finished chapter four! Sorry it took me so long, but I've got like, twenty-something other stories that I'm actively working on and I work third shift at work, so getting around to updating everything is taking some time. So, Sorry again and I hope you enjoy the chapter! Also, certain details in chapter three have been changed for plot purposes, so you might want to go back and read that as well.

Livia had managed to convince Ash to let her patrol with him the week leading up to Mardi Gras. At first, the night had been going well – until the damn fight in the swamp. It had started with her coming back from the bathroom at the theater – they'd gone to see a movie with Tabitha Devereaux and her dumb ass had bought a large drink for her and Ash to share that the Dark Hunter hadn't even drunk. She'd come back just in time to hear him say,

"Yeah, just the same, we'll be there shortly."

He waited a beat before cursing and turning and walking directly into Livia. He looked startled, as if he'd forgotten her existence. She frowned, making sure he saw her hand before laying it on his arm.

"Ash? What's wrong?"

"Daimons are attacking the Katagaria den. You need to go home."

She snorted.

"Like hell. I'm going with you." She said stubbornly. He glared at her for a moment before sighing in defeat, his shoulders slumping.

"Alright, but your brother is going to kill me if you get hurt." He muttered, putting an arm around her shoulders and leading her down Bourbon. She snorted.

"Please, Draco would send you a gift basket more likely."

Ash rolled his eyes as he took out his cell and dialed a number.

"I meant Harry, and you know it – Valerius, I'm on Bourbon –"

Liv couldn't hear his response, but Ash rolled his eyes again.

"I need you in the swamp. We have a situation, Valerius. A group of Daimons are after a Katagaria pack and they have a woman in labor –" Valerius must have interrupted the stern words, because Ash cut off and smiled, "We'll be right there." He hung up and ushered her into a nearby doorway so that he could flash them out without being seen. They were at Val's side within seconds; he hadn't even had time to return his phone to the cradle. The man did a double take upon seeing the two in what was probably his living room and arched a brow.

"We don't have time for conventional means of transportation." Ash explained as he grabbed Valerius before the Roman could ask any questions and flashed them close to the Katagaria den. Valerius scowled.

"How did you do that? Are you some odd Were-Hunter hybrid like Rayven?"

Liv interrupted before Ash could explain even partially, bouncing excitedly.

"Can you teach me how to do that? It's much more pleasant than apparation!"

Both men arched a brow at her.

"Apparation?"

She nodded.

"Yeah, but I'll show you later – first-timers always get nauseous." She explained. Both men nodded, and Ash quickly explained to the other two that he would be forced to fight without his powers. The pair nodded their understanding and followed him towards the den. The camp was obviously in chaos when they arrived, and three of the males seemed to be having a harsh conversation, but they weren't close enough for Livia to hear, though, judging by their expressions, her companions could. The older-looking of the three Katagari males sneered at the younger two before stalking off.

"What are you doing here?" one of the males demanded when he caught sight of the trio, "I told you we can handle this."

Liv squealed excitedly when she recognized the silent Wolf and ran to hug him while Ash dealt with the grumpy one.

"You're Fang!" she cried as the Wolf awkwardly returned her embrace. He eyed her warily.

"How do you know that?"

She grinned happily.

"I'm friends with Aimee." She explained, still bouncing. Ash reached over and extracted her from the uncomfortable-looking Fang. He eyed her in concern.

"What's wrong with you?" he asked in partial amusement. She bit her lip.

"Apparently, your," she poked him in the chest, "powers charge my magic, which is weird, 'cause they're not ionically charged either, and now I'm past capacity. I have about an hour until I literally explode." She finished cheerfully. The men around her looked alarmed.

"Is there any way to… you know… stop it?" Fang asked. She nodded, grinning once more.

"Two things." She told them. The four men stared at her expectantly. Her eyes widened as she caught on.

"Oh! You want me to tell you what they are. Right. Sex or using the excess, like in, say, a fight or something." She giggled, "I think I'm high." She told them. Ash and Valerius exchanged worried looks.

"Should you be here?"

She nodded.

"Yeah, I've used my magic around Weres before and it doesn't force a shift, so they should all be fine when I start killing the Daimons."

Ash's eyes widened in alarm.

"You don't mean with…" he gestured vaguely and she laughed and shook her head.

"Nah, I'll just cut off their heads – Harry'll kill me if he finds out I used one of those spells. And let me know if you need help delivering the pups," she added, looking solely at Ash as she spoke, "I was a midwife back in England and I might be able to help."

While they spoke, the rest of the pack had moved out, along with a bunch of gators that no one had noticed. Then Fang spotted them.

"Vane –"

"They're friendly wolf, relax They won't attack unless you hit them." Liv assured him.

"You sure?" Fang asked skeptically. Ash answered.

"Positive. They're with me." He added when the Wolf still looked doubtful. Liv abruptly hugged Vane, who, to the surprise of his brother, Ash, and Valerius, didn't maul her. Instead, he returned the embrace.

"I'm sorry." She whispered. He nodded stoically and stepped back, releasing her.

"She'll be fine," Val tried to reassure the man, "We'll get her through this."

Vane shook his head.

"No. All we can hope for is to save her puppies. As soon as the last one leaves her belly, she'll die."

"She's mated." Liv said softly before Val could respond, kneeling beside the she-wolf and running a hand through her fur, "They bonded and he was killed. The only thing keeping her alive is the puppies."

Valerius frowned.

"How do you know that?"

She smiled sadly and held up her right hand, showing a mating mark of her own.

"I'm in a similar position myself, only my mate isn't dead."

"Colt or Dev?" Ash asked idly as he joined her.

"Colt." She replied mildly, standing and running a hand through her hair. Ash turned to Vane.

"I'm sorry, Vane."

"Thanks." Vane brushed a hand through his sister's white coat. Then the Daimons attacked and Vane shot to his feet.

"I don't know how to birth the puppies," he told Ash, "You stay with her and I'll fight them."

Ash nodded, keeping his place beside the she-wolf as Vane joined the others against the Daimons.

Livia was having the time of her life, beheading Daimons left and right or stabbing her wand through their chests, when, out of the corner of her eyes, she saw a pair of them aim a Taser at Vane, who ducked. She saw the trajectory, saw where it would land, and threw herself in front of the blast. She fell to the ground with a scream of pain. Vane turned at the sound and ran to his sister. Ash tried to get to his feet, Liv stopped him.

"NO!" she cried through gritted teeth, "Don't leave her! I'll be fine!" And to prove it, she painfully got to her feet and, with a whispered word, killed the Daimon that shocked her. Then, with another spell, she blew the rest to kingdom come. Then she fell to her knees. Or she would have, had Vane not caught her. He laid her down beside his sister and brushed her hair from her face. He looked down at her curiously.

"You saved my sister."

She shook her head.

"Saved the pups. Wasn't their time." She coughed up a bit of blood and swore, "Fuck, this shit hurts." Then she snorted, "Harry's going to give me hell for this."

Vane frowned.

"For saving my sister's pups?"

She grinned and shook her head.

"Nah, for doing the exact same thing I'm always on his case about. 'Foolish and impulsive acts of nobility'." She snickered, "Gah, I can hear him now. I'm never gonna hear the end of this."

"That's the last one."

Both looked over at Ash's words and Vane left Livia to see to his sister and the pups. Anya lived just long enough to lick the closest pup's head before the light fled her eyes. Fang howled in pain before shifting back to a man. A naked man. Liv let out a mock-cry of horror and tried to cover her eyes, only to let out an expletive as the movement caused her body to wrack with pain. Ash was at her side in a moment.

"Stop moving, dammit!"

She chuckled.

"Can't help it. Old habits die hard. Besides, this is hardly the worst pain I've been in."

A hand grabbed her own and she looked over to see a now clothed Fang looking at her.

"Thank you."

She waved him off – or, she tried to at least. Moving any of her limbs caused too much pain for her to do much more than attempt a twitch before it felt like her every nerve was on fire. She groaned.

"You, tall grumpy one, heal me or take me home so I can sleep this shit off." She commanded Ash. The man chuckled and did as ordered, healing her quickly with a wave of his hand. She sat up experimentally, smiling happily when it didn't cause her any pain. She looked at Fang expectantly, but the wolf had already released her hand. Pouting, she turned to Ash and Valerius, holding her hands out until Val took the hint and helped her to her feet. She then proceeded to perform various yoga poses, gaining a half-hearted leer from Fang. She shrugged when the two Dark-Hunters looked at her incredulously.

"Got to make sure I have a full range of movement before I head home." She explained. Then she turned back to the Weres.

"I'm sorry for your loss," she told them sincerely, "If you need anything at all, you can find me at Sanctuary, or call Ash and he'll find me, okay?"

The pair nodded, surprised at the offer. She squeezed each of their shoulders in silent empathy before turning back to the pair she'd come with with a wicked smile.

"Now, time to show you boys what apparation is." She added, grabbing them both by the hand and apparating them to Sanctuary. Both men immediately doubled over, clutching their stomachs and fighting the urge throw up. Liv was chortling happily as she waited for them to compose themselves. Ash glared at her and Valerius was scowling.

"Bitch." Ash muttered as he straightened. This only made Livia laugh harder for a moment before she sobered.

"Come on, I'll buy you both a drink."

Ash shook his head.

"I've got to go find Talon."

Valerius declined as well.

"I need to start my patrol."

She nodded.

"Alright, I'll see you both later." She kissed both men's cheeks before turning and making her way to the door where Dev had been watching the exchange.

"You alright, cher?"

She smiled at him.

"I'm fine, love. Colt in?"

He nodded.

"Yeah, he's at the bar and Harry's on break."

She inclined her head and reached out to squeeze his hand in thanks before heading inside. She saw her friend first, and hugged him without a word. She missed the worried look he shot the top of her head before returning the embrace. He held her for several minutes before she pulled away and kissed his cheek.

"I'll go check on Lily in a few hours." She told him. He nodded and watched as she made her way to the bar and her mate. He shook his head with a quiet chuckle. Boy, had that been an experience.

*Flashback*

It had been two days since he'd been introduced to Nick's boss, and the dark man wouldn't leave his mind. Lily was at the table and he was at the stove, making breakfast and thinking about Ash when a god-awful shriek sounded from upstairs. Harry didn't bother turning off the stove, he just turned and ran to the only person left in the house that could have possibly made that noise. He arrived in Liv's room to see her sitting on her bed, dazed, and staring at her hand. She looked fine. Harry scowled.

"Liv, what the hell is wrong with you? I thought you had been attacked."

She didn't respond. He snapped his fingers in front of her face.

"Liv? Liv?! Livia!"

She finally looked at him, shock in her eyes. She held up her hand and Harry felt his jaw drop, because there, in the center of her palm, was a mark he'd seen on Nicolette's hand several times throughout the years. His best friend was mated to a bear.

"Who?" he asked hoarsely. She shrugged.

"Colt, I think. He was the last one I slept with."

Her phone rang and she picked it up. She laughed hollowly.

"Speak of the devil." She answered it, "Hey, Colt. Yeah, I've got it too. Talk? Sure. Where? You want to come here? That should be fine. Lily has school today and Harry will probably sleep after she's gone. Uh-huh. Yeah, an hour will be great. I'll see you later. Bye."

"I take it Colt wasn't happy?" he asked lightly. She shrugged again.

"More in shock, it sounded like. He'll be here in an hour so that we can talk this over and see where to go from here." She told him. Harry sat beside her and put an arm around her shoulders, pulling her against him.

"Are you okay, Liv?"

She smiled bemusedly at him.

"I'm not upset, if that's what you're asking. This is just a bit of a shock. I've been sleeping with Dev and Colt for years now. Why did they do this now? Why after five years? Why not after the first time? Or second, or third? We've both had other partners. What the fecking hell are they playing at?!" she demanded furiously, "Colt sounded so hurt and lost on the phone and it's my fault! All because they didn't mark us sooner!"

Harry sighed and squeezed her shoulders.

"C'mon, Liv, you'll worry Lily if you stay up here after that scream." He told her softly. There was nothing else he could say. He couldn't answer her questions, he couldn't offer her any comfort, though it killed him inside to admit it. Livia had been with him through thick and thin, and when she needed comfort most, he couldn't give it. He couldn't help her and it infuriated him. So he changed the subject. She smiled wanly and allowed him to pull her to her feet, following him down the stairs without question. Lily ran to her aunt when they got to the kitchen and the woman lifted her into her arms automatically, a beaming smile on her face.

"Good morning, princess!"she greeted the little girl cheerfully, kissing her cheek. Lily cuddled her godmother.

"Are you okay, Auntie? You screamed real loud and sounded like you were hurt."

Liv chuckled.

"I'm alright, bumpkin, I just fell out bed. I dreamed I was on the edge of a volcano and the floor surprised me."

The girl nodded sagely.

"Cause you were expecting lava." She said knowingly. Liv laughed.

"That's right, love. Now, why don't we see what daddy's making for breakfast, hmm?" she suggested as she carried her to the island behind the stove. Harry snorted.

"I'm surprised it's not burnt. I didn't bother turning the burner off when I went to go check on you."

"Kreacher looked after it while you and Auntie were up stairs." Lily told him, still leaning against Liv, who dropped a kiss to the top of her head.

"That was nice of him. You looking forward to school today, nibblet?" Liv had been on a Buffy kick recently and had adopted the word from what Spike called Dawn. Lily giggled and nodded.

"Yeah, today we get to finger paint!"

Liv smiled

"That sounds lovely. I bet you'll have loads of fun."

Lily nodded eagerly as Harry placed their plates in front of them and a jar of honey between them. They were having French toast and sausage, the honey was because Liv ate it with her French toast and Lily had picked up a few of her eating habits, much to Harry's chagrin. Harry handed Liv some coffee and Lily a small glass of orange juice. The five-year-old pouted.

"I want coffee."

"NO!" both her guardians shouted at once. The world was not ready for Lily Potter on a caffeine high. The pout became more pronounced and Liv could see Harry about to cave. She looked at her goddaughter sternly.

"Lily Cherise Potter," they had changed her middle name to Cherise shortly after Harry had started working at Sanctuary, "you are not old enough for coffee and your father told you 'no'. You will accept that answer like a big girl and drink your juice, am I understood?"

Lily deflated.

"Yes, Auntie."

Liv gave her another kiss.

"Excellent. Now eat your breakfast and brush your teeth so that daddy can take you to school. Okay, princess? And when you get home, we'll stop by Sanctuary to see if we can't talk Cherise into giving us some cookies."

Lily giggled and nodded before digging into her breakfast. Liv looked at Harry and grinned when he mouthed 'thank you' at her. Soon the two Potters were gone and Liv was left alone to wait for Colt to arrive. She didn't have to wait long. Either Colt was early or an hour had passed by more quickly than she had thought. She answered the door to see the Bear standing nervously on the other side. She smiled and stepped back to let him in.

"Hey." She greeted softly. He tried to smile at her, but it came out as more of a grimace.

"Hey."

She raised a brow as he hesitantly stepped past her.

"Is being mated to me really that repugnant to you?" she asked teasingly. She was surprised when the Were turned on her with wide, earnest eyes and grabbed the hand that wasn't still on the door.

"No! Of course not! You're not – I didn't mean –"

Liv chuckled and cut him off.

"Colton, I'm teasing you, relax. Come to the living room with me and we'll talk."

He nodded and allowed her to lead him to the living room, where she pushed him gently onto the couch before sitting beside him. She had never seen her friend this nervous before – it was kind of cute.

"You don't have to bond with me if you don't want to." He blurted out before she could say anything. She rolled her eyes.

"And why, exactly, wouldn't I want to? Unless, of course, you're telling me you don't want to?"

He shook his head frantically.

"No! I mean…it's not that. I just… I don't want you to have to settle with me if you don't want to."

Livia huffed.

"What the hell do you mean 'settle'? You are an amazing man and I would be honored to be your mate." She told him irritably He looked at her in surprise.

"Really?"

She nodded.

"Absolutely."

"I thought – what about Ash?"

She snorted.

"Ash and I are just friends. That's all he needs from me and I'm more than willing to give him that. You know why I slept around so much, right?" she asked abruptly. He nodded.

"Sex helps relieve your building magic so that it doesn't kill you."

She nodded.

"Exactly. If you want to bond, then I promise you I'll be faithful," she smirked, "Just be prepared for me to kidnap you from work occasionally."

He laughed.

"I think I can handle that." He agreed, his voice thick with relief. Then he looked at her nervously once more, "So you'll agree to be my mate?"

She chuckled.

"Of course."

She laughed when he kissed her enthusiastically. When he released her, she stood with a lust-filled smirk and pulled him to his feet.

"Let's go upstairs and 'talk' about this some more." She purred, leading him out the door and up to her room.

Harry arrived home to complete silence and smirked. Thankfully his sister had remembered silencing charms this time. He decided to go to bed. He'd talk to Liv later.

*End Flashback*

Liv was startled when Colt shot around the bar and pulled her into a bear hug (pardon the pun).

"Colt?" she asked in confusion, her voice muffled by his shoulder.

"I could feel you dying." He whispered harshly in her ear. Her eyes widened. She'd been dying? Shit. No wonder Colt was acting like this. She managed to pull back just enough to kiss him, assure him that she was alive and well. This didn't work out quite like she'd hoped when he jerked away from her, his lips twisted in a snarl.

"Why do you taste like blood?" he demanded furiously. She sighed and cupped his cheek.

"Calm down, love, I'm fine, I promise. There was a fight with some Daimons in the swap and I got in the way of a Taser blast. Ash healed me. I'm fine." She repeated soothingly. Colt growled loudly, drawing attention from the human patrons of the bar. Liv growled herself, gaining her mate's attention and a confused blink.

"Colton, I'm fine. I'm breathing, my heart is still beating and I am alive and well. The bastards were taken care of. Okay? Calm down. You're going to scare the humans." She told him sternly. Slowly, his eyes cleared and she could see the rage leaving them. She smiled.

"Now, I've recently received an extra boost of 'energy' and haven't quite worked it all off yet. Go talk to Nicolette so that I can borrow you for a few hours before I go check on Lily." She commanded with a smirk. He nodded dumbly and, with a gentle shove, went to go find his boss. Tinkling laughter had Liv turning to see Aimee Peltier standing behind her. She smirked.

"I saw your Wolf tonight." She told the other woman lowly. Aimee's eyes widened.

"What? What happened?"

"Daimons attacked. His sister is dead, but her pups are safe."

"How did you get in the way of a Taser?"

Liv grimaced.

"Blast was headed for Anya. If it had hit her, it would have killed the pups. I got in the way."

Aimee gaped at her.

"You nearly died to save some Katagari pups?"

Liv arched a brow.

"And I would do the same for any child. Vane and Fang had already lost their sister. They didn't need to lose her pups as well." She smiled wryly, "Though standing up afterwards to kill the rest of the Daimons hurt like a bitch." She admitted ruefully. Now the bearswan was staring at her in awe. Livia frowned and snapped her fingers in front of her friend's face.

"Aim? You okay?"

"You stood up after a Taser blast and were still able to fight?" she asked faintly. Liv shrugged.

"I've been in worse pain." She admitted carelessly. That seemed to snap the other woman out of her shock as she looked at Liv sharply.

"What?!"

Liv frowned again.

"During the war. They tortured me, nearly raped me. Harry saved me and here we are." She told her shortly. She really didn't want to talk about it. Didn't want to remember the pain on her father's face as he presented her to Voldemort. She was startled when the blonde pulled her into a hug.

"I'm so sorry." Aimee whispered in her ear. She smiled and returned the embrace.

"I'm fine, Aim, it was a long time ago."

Aimee pulled back to look at her.

"Does Colt know?"

Liv nodded.

"Colt knows all about the war." She smiled self-deprecatingly, "He sometimes has to wake me from nightmares and will sit up for the next three hours talking to me because I'm afraid to go back to sleep."

Aimee smiled sadly. Then looked worried.

"Does Harry have nightmares?"

Liv nodded.

"Nightly. Colt's stopped being surprised when he wakes up of a morning and finds me in Harry's bed."

Aimee shook her head.

"You two have been through so much." She said softly. Livia shrugged and smiled.

"Yeah, but we got some good out of it. We got experience, and skill, and, most importantly, we got Lily." She assured her friend. "We survived hell, we'll get through this, and we'll live and be happy." She added calmly, a fierce light burning in her eyes. She turned and smiled brightly when a hand touched her shoulder. Colt was looking down at her curiously.

"Nicolette gave me the rest of the night off, and said to tell you that you need to be more careful." He informed her with a slight smile. Liv chuckled.

"I will certainly do my best." She promised her mate, who looked at her skeptically. She laughed and kissed him.

"Come on, let's go home." She murmured against his lips. He walked her over to a closet and dragged her inside so that they could flash out without being seen. Aimee shook her head. Livia Malfoy was certainly something else.

Mardi Gras was another night that had started off well enough. She'd been partying with her honey - and damn Aimee Peltier for making her sound like an American – when she saw a very familiar gathering. Giving Colt a look, she walked over to her friends.

"Ash, Nick, what's going on?"

"Talon's woman got taken by some god that wants to make him eternally miserable." Nick answered promptly. He remembered well the tongue lashing he'd gotten earlier in the week for being a bastard and he was eager to stay on the woman's good side. Ash sighed and Talon glared at him.

"You're going to come with us." It wasn't a question, but Livia nodded anyway.

"Just give me a minute to tell Colt what's going on and send him home to watch Lily and I'll be right back."

Talon grabbed her arm.

"You need to stay with your daughter." He told her firmly. Liv smiled at him.

"She's my goddaughter, and she has her father. Not to mention I don't plan on dying tonight, Celt. I'm going to talk to my mate, then I'm going to help you find yours. I'll be back shortly." She added firmly, freeing herself from his grip and making her way back to Colt.

Colt was not happy, but he understood and walked with back to the Dark-Hunters, telling Ash to take care of her before he kissed her and left to go check on Lily.

This was not going well. Whatever Styxx had said to Acheron had him frozen, and Livia had to restrain herself from attacking the man. She had to wait. Bide her time until the right moment. Then she had it. Styxx pulled the knife, made to plunge it in to Ash's chest – it went through Liv's shoulder before managing to dig into his skin, just managing to nick his heart and pinning Livia to him. Ash began chanting and Livia let out a grunt of pain as she yanked the dagger out of the two of them. Then she fell to her knees, curling in on herself. She was barely aware of her surroundings as her core began to change. A kind of darkness filled her and the voice chanting changed, along with the words. She felt her core dissipate and began to panic before she felt her magic stabilizing, changing to match the foreign energy it had bonded with. The last thing she was aware of was a sense of peace before she fell into Morpheus's grasp.

Ash stared dully at the floor where Livia had been just moments before for what felt like eternity. Then he turned on Styxx, rage burning in his eyes. Artemis stepped between him.

"You can't kill him, Acheron. Besides, it was just a witch."

"SHE WAS MY FRIEND!" he roared. Everyone in the room flinched, quite a few people feeling stunned at that announcement, including Artemis. Styxx sneered.

"Did she know about your time in Atlantis, Acheron?"

"She wouldn't have cared," he spat furiously, "She's probably the only one that would understand and you took her from me!" he snarled, "From her mate and her goddaughter! Her brother!" he shoved Artemis aside and punched his brother in the face before turning on his heel and leaving.

Harry was numb. Livia was gone. Merlin, how was he going to tell Lily? He looked up when the Wolf in the room suddenly spoke.

"She's still alive."

Harry shot to his feet, getting in the Were's face.

"What do you mean?" he demanded. He looked to Colt.

"You two bonded your life forces, didn't you?"

Colt nodded, his eyes widening with understanding.

"She said she would rather live a short, happy life with me, than a long, miserable one without." He admitted. Then he grinned and grabbed Harry by the shoulder, turning him around so that he could look him in the eye.

"Harry, if Livia was dead, I would be too! She's still alive!"

Harry stared dumbly for a moment. Then let out a whoop of joy and crushed the Bear too him.

"Thank you! Thank you for being her mate and bonding with her!" he said cheerfully. He froze suddenly.

"Ash, we need to tell Ash. He's beating himself up about this. Do any of you have his number?"

"Already on it." Nick called from across the bar. His mother was in the kitchen making everyone something to eat.

"Yo, boss man, Liv's still alive!"

"Yes I'm sure, she bonded with the Bear, and since he hasn't dropped yet, that means Liv is still kicking!"

Harry had crossed the room by this point and held his hand out for the phone.

"Hey Ash, would you mind meeting me at my house later? I'd like to introduce you to my daughter Lily. I also need your help coming up with a story to tell her about where Liv is at until we can get her back. You can just come to Sanctuary and walk with me if you don't know where the house is. Yeah, see you later. Thanks." He hung up and handed the phone back to Nick with a raised brow at his slack jaw.

"What? If we involve him now, he won't think we hate him later when we don't. At least, I don't and Livia would kick his ass if Colt did."

Nick frowned.

"How do you know that?"

Harry snorted.

"I used to be Ash. I still am a lot of the time. When we first moved here, I spent a month in my room sulking because my fiancé left me and neglected my daughter. Thank Merlin for Livia or my poor daughter likely would have starved. Now," he clapped his hands together with a smile as he turned to the room at large, "we're going to cheer up and act like Liv has taken an extended, surprise vacation and didn't take her boy toy." This was said with a smirk directed at Colt, who rolled his eyes, "I'm pretty sure we all have shit to do, so go get whatever it is done and I'll get to work on tracking Liv."

Everyone slowly dispersed, and Nick went to explain to his mother that they had found a note from Liv saying she had gone on vacation for a while and would be back at some point, though she didn't specify when.

Nick felt he had an inkling as to where Liv had gone as he could feel his memories begin to actively change, starting with when he was first introduced to the supernatural….

Don't worry, Liv will be back, I just don't know how many chapters it will take. In the mean time, I'll be writing a side story to this one set in the CON verse that will tell you what's happening with Liv called 'Family Secrets'. Here's a sneak peak at chapter one. Don't forget to leave a review and I hope you'll take a look at Liv's trip to the past!

Livia awoke in pain. Every muscle in her body ached and her limbs were too stiff to move. Her eyes snapped open and her body tensed when she heard a rustling movement beside her. It was Ash, and he was looking down at her in confusion.

"Do I know you, kid?"

She laughed breathlessly.

"Depends. Can you tell me the date? Year included, please."

"January 10, 1998."

She groaned. The war was still going on.

"You don't know me yet, but you will." She told him as she pulled herself into a sitting position. She eyed him speculatively.

"Can you view memories?" she asked shrewdly. He arched a brow, but nodded.

"Yeah, but I'll have to take off the sunglasses."

"Then take 'em off and have a look." She ordered, looking up at him expectantly. Another brow joined the first, but he did, and Liv felt herself sinking into her memories.
