Author's Notes- At last. Here is the final chapter of Shadow. Enjoy.

Sparks shoot through the air as Mira continues to prod Atton with a surgical spike. "Ow, careful. Believe it or not I'd like to keep the rest of my arm."

Whether not listening or not caring Mira prodded Atton again, forcing him to cringe even further. "If you were more careful I wouldn't have to do this at all."

Now biting down on his lip Atton responded. "What did you expect me to do Mira? She was going to kill them."

"I know, but...damnit Atton." Several small water droplets fell from Mira's face onto the still hot metal encasing his arm making them dissipate into steam almost immediately. "If you and Andrew weren't so stubborn and would have let us come along..."

Atton attempted to shh her. "Hey the ship needed to be protected, the baby needed to be protected. I know things didn't go the way we planned, but because you let Brianna go, she and Andrew were able to find a way to save me."

"After you jumped in like an idiot to save them" Mira snapped back with frustration in her voice.

Atton seemingly unfazed, simply chuckled to himself and shrugged "What can I say, I'm willing to die for those two. I'm willing to die for all of you."

The two of them stared into each other's eyes for several second, not breaking contact or saying word. That was until Mira leaned in close and whispered "Atton?"

The man did not flinch or look away. "Yea."

Mira now moving even closer was mere inches from his lips before she silently asked "You want to get hitched?"

A deep devilish grin grew on Atton's face. "I thought you'd never ask."

Out in the common area Bastila was conversing with Andrew and Brianna who was now rocking her new born infant. "I think Arren is a lovely name" Bastila commented "A remembrance of a great woman placed upon a girl with a bright future ahead of her."

Andrew nodded smiling down at his child. "Yes, my only wish is that she is as talented as her mother."

"And as smart as her father" Brianna offhandedly replied as she nestled Arren even closer to her.

"Oh don't curse the child" a voice bellowed from the edge of the hall as Carth now entered the room. He was still deeply bruised and somewhat of a persistent limp as he walked. However, he still mustered a big smile as he moved towards them. "So, what's on the docket next. Do you think you'll be ready to resume the search? After a reasonable amount of rest post the delivery I mean."

Both Andrew and Brianna looked at each other briefly with uncertainty. They than glanced at Arren who was fast asleep in her mother's arms. Placing a hand on his wife's shoulder, Andrew turned his head back up before softly beginning to respond. "Carth, we wi..."

"They will not." Bastila sharply interrupted now stepping between them and Carth. "Andrew and Brianna spent the past two years of their lives chasing my lost husband. I think they've more than fulfilled their promise of looking."

Andrew as surprised at the display, and couldn't help to argue "But Bastila I told you that I would find him."

"And you've done everything in your power to do so." She light turned her head over her shoulder and shot him a faint grin. "I love Revan. I will always love Revan, but I think it's about time that I accept that I'm most likely not going to see him again. Which is why I've decided to stop with the search as well and come live with you two."

"Wait what?" Brianna called out, trying not too loud to wake the baby.

The faint grin Bastila wore slowly fell. "I just can't do it anymore. Vaner is slowly growing up, and I don't want his childhood to be filled with endless flights on a spaceship looking blindly for a father he does not know. I want him to have a normal life, or at least as normal as I can give him." With that she turned completely back to them, put a smile back on, and placed both hands on her hips. "Besides who else are you going to turn to with questions about raising a child?"

Andrew knew she was mostly doing this for their sake, but he could tell there was also a bit of truth in it as well. He understood that it had been a long journey not just for him and Brianna. With a subtle smirk of his own he stepped forward and said "If this is truly what you want than we will respect your wishes."

Suddenly a Carth on the young woman's shoulder and was surprisingly ver calm. "Bastila, in a weird way I also agree with what your saying, but unlike you I don't have kids to worry about. So if all of you don't mind I think I'd like to continue on my own."

"Sign us up for that to." Everyone than looked towards one of the doorways to see Atton and Mira. "Despite some recent setbacks." Atton then held up one of his arms to reveal a fully constructed and functional metallic hand. "Mira and I still have a lot of fight left in us, so we're going with you."

"But Atton, why" Andrew asked confused at this sudden desire to throw themselves into more potential danger.

"I figured out what my last trial was." Atton then slowly walked up to his master and best friend continuing to explain. "It's the trial of the spirit. I haven't faced myself yet, and I don't think I ever will unless I explore the universe without you."

"Atton you are wiser than you know" Yet another voice emanated from the adjacent hallway this one belonging to a beaten and bruises Visas Marr.

"Visas, how did you rest?" Brianna lightly called out to her.

The young Miraluka placed a palm to her temple and sighed. "Difficultly. I still feel a slight echo of his voice still in my head. It will take time for me to fully recover from this."

That's when Andrew made his way over to her and spoke up. "Well you'll have plenty of time to do so staying with Brianna, Bastila, and I."

Everyone except for Brianna looked back at him in shock, especially Visas. "What? After everything that transpired, you still trust me enough to be around you and your child?"

"Of course we do. Visas" Brianna replied. "Regardless of what happened, you are still apart of this family."

Visas was stunned and wordless for several moments before she was able to muster. "Sister of the Echani...Brianna, you show me more kindness than I deserve. I will do my best to earn this faith you have placed in me."

Brianna wrapped her arms around her in order to fully show support. Andrew smiled at the both of the, but there was a twinge of curiosity still in his eye. "We appreciate you saying that Visas, but if you don't mind me asking there is one thing that is still puzzling me." The Miraluka woman turned to not fully sure of what to expect. "What was your relationship with that Sith Assassin we encountered on Manaan?"

Visas than looked down slightly discouraged. "Sasha or Sulem was a homeless wretch that unfortunately happened upon me one day. I convinced her to train under me, and every word I said she obeyed."

"She said that you two were lovers" Andrew continued to question.

At that Visas couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. "Is that what she referred to it as. I suppose from her point of view it could be seen that way. There was no physical passion present, however a high degree of emotion was maintained constantly. But this was all a ruse. I made her believe that there was something between us, but in reality it was only I bending her to my will." Visas than became somber again. "She will be yet another notch in my list to fix."

Brianna placed an arm around her and proceeded to reassure her some more. "Don't you worry, with time you'll be able to right all wrongs."

That's when Atton spoke up again. "So I guess the party is divided. Carth and I will set course for Telos to drop you off, we're not too far away already so it shouldn't take too long to get there. Then after that we split." Without another word he and Carth made their way to the cockpit.

There was a moment where everyone remaining stood in silence, not entirely sure what was going to happen next. They spent so much time together, and now it seemed like it was all coming to an end. With a slight muddle to his voice Andrew was able to mutter "I would like to say it has been an honor to spend the last two years with you people. You all might as well be my family."

The young red-head walked up and punched him in the arm. "Come on now, you're going to make us all tear up."

He simply smiled at her. "Mira I'm very proud of you. You are one of the smartest people I have met by far, and in some cases the wisest. I want you to look after Atton out there. He is a smart man, but he isn't always the brightest if you catch my drift."

"You know I can still hear you guys."

"And" Mira quipped loudly. "I will." Mira stared up at Andrew for several seconds before suddenly wrapping him in a tight hug. "I'm gonna miss you." She pulled away and there were tears in her eyes. "You were one of the first real friends I ever had and I'll never forget that."

Andrew attempted to wipe the tears with the sleeve of his robe. "Mira don't get upset. We're going to see each other again."

"I hope so. Maybe by then your daughter will be old enough for me to teach her stuff her father wouldn't dream of showing her."

Loud noises suddenly began to emulate from the mapping computer in the center of the room. "We've arrived at Citadel Station" Mira somberly replied. "I guess this is where we part."

Andrew took one last look around the room at everyone. "Farewell you all. You are aware and confident of the path in front of you. I am certain you will find success in your journey. And as always may the force be with you."

After a brief period to collect all of their personal items, Andrew, Brianna, Bastila, Vaner, Visas, Bao-Dur, and baby Arren in toe exited the Ebon Hawk and witnessedit take off from the Citadel Station hangar. As the familiar ship slowly became a small spec in the distance Bastila stepped beside Andrew and whispered "Does it feel like your journey has ended?"

Not peering away from the horizon view, he responded "In a way. Of course Brianna and I will continue to explore this power we share, and anytime there is a minor conflict in our vicinity we will do our best to resolve it. But to answer your question, I do sense that a majority of our adventuring is now behind us." He then looked over at Brianna who wore the deepest smile, and then down at Arren asleep in her mother's arms. "However, I also get the feeling her journey is just getting started."

Author's Post Notes- Thank you all who have kept up with this story for these few years. You're continued support has been most appreciated. I do have a third story in mind that would have a young Arren Masi at the helm. I cannot promise when that will be out or how frequent it would be updated. However, if you all are interested in more than happy to try. Until then as always please me.
