A/N: I know, I should be updating my other stories, but I promise I'm working on it. You'll probably have a new Torchwood chapter before the end of the week. This is my first Morgana/Gwen fic. Can take place in season one or at the beginnings of season two. I hope you like it.
Just a Dream.
"I'm here, I'm here," Gwen soothed Morgana, who'd once again woken up screaming after one of her nightmares. The maidservant hugged her Lady to her. "It's okay, Morgana, I'm here. It was just a dream."
"Bu—but you were there! I saw you, I—I..." I killed you. She choked on her next words, her eyes closing as she sobbed even more.
"It was just a dream, Morgana. Just a dream," Gwen told her, and held her until she stopped crying. But Morgana couldn't let her go. She held on to her as if she were a lifeboat in the middle of the sea, and Morgana was drowning.
Morgana's pride refused to let her ask Gwen to stay, so she did it without words. She pressed her lips to Gwen's, and the kiss quickly deepened when the maidservant kissed her back.
The thought of how impossible their relationship was crossed her mind, but disappeared as fast as it'd come. Morgana needed this to reassure herself that Gwen was alive. Gwen was alive! Gwen was alive, and she hadn't killed her!
Gwen seemed to get the message, because she lied on the bed besides her, and pulled Morgana closer, the lady lying her head on Gwen's chest, near the crook of the maidservant's neck. The latter caressed her Lady's hair, and Morgana fell asleep and woke up in her maidservant's arms, the woman she loved more than anything, who got her through the night every single time without fault, the woman who was always there for her, and the woman Morgana vowed to protect until the end of her days.
