Hello! welcome tot he last page of 'Price Of Peace," Enjoy!

Epilogue

After leaving the Clan, Echoripple traveled across the land, following clues from loners or kittypets to where Slash's group lived. She finally found him almost four seasons after she left the Clans, far away from where the Clans lived.

There were some problems with her joining, but she was eventually welcomed in and lived with them the rest of her life. She and Slash never mated again and they never had anymore kits, it bothered Echoripple, who changed her name back to Echo, to mate any cat because of her experience with Nighthawk.

Echoripple didn't live as long as most cats, some ancient cats whispered that the ordeal she went through as a very young kit injured her health, and she died about the time a regular warrior would begin thinking of retiring.

But when she died, and Slash not long after her, she and Slash walked back across the stars to StarClan where she was able to watch the Clans that she had never stopped wondering about. And she stayed there, visiting Selena and Rain in the neighboring skies very often. Echoripple rested her life in the stars in perfect peace.

Life In the Clans went on after Echoripple left. Riverpaw, Ripplepaw, and Slashpaw all became powerful warriors; Riverleaf, Rippleshade, and Slashclaw. Riverleaf, following the promise she'd made her mother, quickly became one of the most respected warriors and was made Stonestar's deputy when Cinderstar passed away.

Riverleaf remained deputy until Stonestar died and she became leader, Riverstar of SkyClan. And she was one of the best leaders ever seen, solving every problem that presented itself with cleverness. Riverstar just goes to show how even a mistake is very special.

...

Nighthawk lived his life without any cat finding out about his crime. But he tormented himself about it enough for every cat. He refused to ever mate again and focused on protecting all his kits, counting Rippleshade and Slashclaw as his kits as well.

He finally died in a battle with RiverClan, leaping to take an accidental fatal blow for Rippleshade. StarClan deemed that action as compensation for his crime and allowed him to enter their ranks, where he finally found peace in knowing he had truly been forgiven.

...

Briarberry and Blackear of ThunderClan, after Echoripple's leaving, blamed SkyClan for their sister's disappearance and vowed never to have anything to do with that Clan, though it is known that Briarberry always avoided Echoripple's kits in battle.

Forever, they stubbornly defended the mission until no cat dared even think of the sacrifice anymore. They are mostly responsible for no cat remembering the sacrifice after their generation.

Briarberry became deputy for a while in her older age, but retired after two seasons to the elders den with her brother and lived their peacefully, awaiting the day to join her friends and family in StarClan.

Blackear, however, had an eventful life with Featherfall, they had kits together once and never stopped meeting each other until they were both elders, though the relationship cause more then one uncomfortable conversations with their Clan-mates or leader's. But Blackear stayed loyal and true to the end and rested peacefully with his sister until entering StarClan.

...

Raincloud never really got over the loss of her friend, wistfully remembering all they had been through almost daily. But she stayed loyal to her Clan through it all, serving as deputy for a short time under Riverstar, and she was always willing to offer help to her friend's kits.

She retired a little early, due to a badly wrenched shoulder after she was thrown into the river during a scuffle with RiverClan. But her stories kept apprentices entertained and she managed to make Echoripple look like a real legend and the reverence for the almost forgotten cat spread through all the Clans.

And when Raincloud died after a long life, Echoripple was there to guide her to StarClan.

...

The Clans lived for many generations in almost unbroken peace. By the time SkyClan was driven from the forest, the sacrifice was completely forgotten and Echoripple's name was but an ancient whisper in the elder's minds.

But the stars remembered, they never forgot the difficult life of Echoripple, they never forgot the nightmare of the sacrifice or the cats who gave their lives to stopping it. And Silverpool was forever grateful to Echoripple, and she refused to ever allow the sacrifice to happen again. And it never did, the price of peace had been found.
