Well Hello there, it's wednesday my dudes. (at least as of the day i started writing this)

and yes i am just going to ignore how long its been since i last updated...

Lezz get tooo it.

"Can you please stop saying that, it's really starting to get on my nerves"

Garfield was so taken aback by the sound of her voice, he could not discern if this was reality or if he had fallen asleep in the hospital chair. Something other than his own conscious took over his body as he walked toward the bed.

The moment she opened her eyes, he took her into an embrace, practically slamming his lips onto hers.

What he wasn't expecting, was for her to push him away.

HIs cheeks turned red and he tried to muster out words, but it all came out like vomit, "Rae-I-amsosorry pleasedonthateme I-I-I-justthoughtthatafter….I"

Raven opened her mouth to respond, but a passing nurse took notice of the now responsive girl, and alerted the doctor of the newly responsive girl.

As the doctors performed tests on Raven to detect if any sort of permanent damage had been done while she had been asleep, Gar's body seemed to be testing the laws of gravity. He could not tell if his body wanted to float away in euphoria that Raven was okay or sink down to the deepest pits of magma and burn in the earth's core because she pushed him away. Deep in the quaintest, logical side of his brain, Gar knew that kissing her was a dumb idea. He knew that Raven didn't hate him, but after her being gone for so long, he wanted to hold her and never let her go again.

Richard could hear the sound of glass breaking from his room as Bruce quite literally dropped everything after receiving the call that Raven had woken up.

None of the men in the Wayne Mansion seemed to be able to remain calm as they (richard, bruce, and alfred) loaded into one of Bruce's more conspicuous vehicles. The drive to the hospital was a nervous silence, fearful that Raven would be upset at the plans they had made to bring her into the family.

Unbeknownst to the other two men in the car, Bruce carried a yellow envelope within his jacket sleeve. He was unsure how uncomfortable Raven would be talking about the situation that had put her in this situation, but he wanted to be prepared if Raven just so happened to know what the police (and Bruce's own private investigations) had on Trigon.

Bruce had elected not to tell Richard this because his adopted son did not always approve of his rather unorthodox intelligence gathering techniques. The night that Raven had come over his mansion, Bruce knew that there was something off about the young girl and began looking into her background. Once he was made aware of her origins he had began gathering evidence that would ultimately put Trigon where he belongs- away from Raven.

Unfortunately, his operation took ever so slightly too long and when Raven and Garfield Logan made their ways to the hospital, Bruce couldn't help but feel partially responsible. Perhaps this is why he so quickly jumped into the idea of bringing Raven into the family. Richard was shocked at first, that his seemingly cold adopted father would bring another misfit into the family. It even killed the thought in the back of Richard's mind that Alfred was the pushing force to his own adoption.

Alfred was not surprised at Bruce's sudden interest in the girl. He had seen in several times before in Bruce's eyes and even once in his own when Bruce himself had no place to go than his butler's arms. Alfred was pleased to see this twinkle in Bruce again, a spark that hadn't been lit since the Todd situation. Alfred also knew about the yellow envelope hidden in Bruce's jacket, despite Bruce's belief that he alone had to bear the burden of helping this girl come to terms with her situation. Alfred did agree, though, that Richard did not need to wear this burden on his shoulders. If not mostly because he'd give Bruce a much harder time about it than he deserved.

Garfield shifted uncomfortably in the chair in the hospital waiting room. The doctor told Vic that he could go see Rae, and that Garfield couldn't come just because of the rules for visiting knewly woken patients, but Gar knew in his heart that Raven just didn't want to see him.

/

Victor couldn't help but let a few tears drop from his eyes at the sight of Raven awake in her hospital bed. Victor was the first one that Raven asked that the doctor's call. Had Garfield not been in the room when she came into consciousness, Victor would have also been the first (and for just a bt, the only) one to know that Raven was no longer in the coma.

Victor was the only one in the group that her relationship with him was easy. She loved him, and he loved her. not in the messy, complicated way that includes over the top declarations and sloppy kisses. But in the, unstated, quick forehead kisses, shoulder to cry on, and couches to laugh on kind of way. She trusted Victor more than she trusted herself. And despite the brief moments that sent her to Garfield in desperate, (and now as she thinks clearly, kind of pathetic) movements, Victor still knew her better than anyone else. Garfield may have known about her father (and yes he certainly felt the consequences of that) Victor still knew more. Victor had been there through the loss of her mother, her initial diagnosis. Victor knew the Raven that wasn't just the poor abused girl that clung to a rushed romance. (and yes the Raven that victor knew was still a depressed abused girl, but that wasn't her identity, at least not the one that the outside world knew.

"He's still out there"

"I know"

"He-"

"Victor, I just can't right now"

"I know"

soooo that was it, not much happened but i think its important to understand everyone's frame of mind as all of this going on. Do you feel bad for Gar or do you get why Raven's pushing him away? :)))))))) see you maybe ;) ; ) ; ) ; )
